This paper presents an exact solution for a simply-supported and laminated anisotropic cylindrical shell strip with imperfect bonding at the off-axis elastic layer interfaces and with attached anisotropic piezoelectric actuator and sensor subjected to transverse loading. In this research, the imperfect interface conditions are described in terms of linear relations between the interface tractions in the normal and tangential directions, and the respective discontinuities in displacements. The solution for an elastic (or piezoelectric) layer of the smart laminated cylindrical shell strip is obtained in terms of the six-dimensional (or eight-dimensional) pseudo-Stroh formalism, solution for multilayered system is then derived based on the transfer matrix method. Finally, a numerical example is presented to demonstrate the effect of imperfect interface on the static response of the smart laminated cylindrical shell. The derived solutions can serve as benchmark results to assess various approximate shell theories and numerical methods.  相似文献

针对压电/压磁层合纳米梁屈曲、自由振动问题,基于非局部理论与正弦剪切型变形梁理论,建立了力学模型;利用哈密顿原理推导出层合梁运动方程与边界条件;通过数值解法求得层合梁临界屈曲载荷与自由振动频率。对数值结果分析可知:磁电弹夹层对压电/压磁层合纳米梁屈曲和自由振动的影响不能忽略;磁电弹夹层中压电或压磁材料的体积分数和夹层厚度为主要影响因素;分析得到的影响规律可为此类材料在工程中的应用提供理论参考。  相似文献

Summary The control of dynamic deformation of a laminate plate is conducted by applying electrical load to a piezoelectric actuator integrated into the laminate. The dynamic behavior of the laminate is analyzed in the paper taking into account the effect of transverse shear. The analytical model of the laminate is composed of fiber-reinforced laminae and piezoelectric layers constituting a symmetric cross-ply laminate rectangular plate with simply-supported egdes. It is subjected to mechanical and electrical loads acting on the piezoelectric actuator in order to compensate the effect of the mechanical loads. The behavior of the laminate is analyzed based on the first-order shear deformation theory. Closed-form solutions are obtained for the following quantities: (1) natural frequencies of the laminate plate, (2) weight functions for the deflections and rotations and (3) transient deflections due to loads varying arbitrarily with time. Illustrative examples are shown for the control of deflections caused by the mechanical loads by means of electrical voltage applied to the piezoelectric actuators.  相似文献

An analytical solution for the cylindrical bending vibrations of linear piezoelectric laminated plates is obtained by extending the Stroh formalism to the generalized plane strain vibrations of piezoelectric materials. The laminated plate consists of homogeneous elastic or piezoelectric laminae of arbitrary thickness and width. Fourier basis functions for the mechanical displacements and electric potential that identically satisfy the equations of motion and the charge equation of electrostatics are used to solve boundary value problems via the superposition principle. The coefficients in the infinite series solution are determined from the boundary conditions at the edges and continuity conditions at the interfaces between laminae, which are satisfied in the sense of Fourier series. The formulation admits different boundary conditions at the edges of the laminated piezoelectric composite plate. Results for laminated elastic plates with either distributed or segmented piezoelectric actuators are presented for different sets of boundary conditions at the edges.  相似文献

A continuum theory for transient wave propagation in three-dimensional composite materials is given. The derived model provides a set of governing equations for the prediction of dynamic response of elastic composites to impulsive loadings. Pulse propagation normal to the direction of layering in periodically bilaminated media, and normal to the fiber direction in unidirectional long-fiber composites are obtained as special cases. The dynamic response of the composite is determined solely from the materials properties of the constituents (assumed in general to be orthotropic) and their geometrical dimensions. The predicted propagating transient waves are checked with exact solutions for impacted laminated composites, and with measured data for a fiber-reinforced material. Applications are given for pulse propagation in particulate composites and in tri-othogonally fiber-reinforced materials.  相似文献

This research presents a finite element formulation based on four-variable refined plate theory for bending analysis of cross-ply and angle-ply laminated composite plates integrated with a piezoelectric fiber-reinforced composite actuator under electromechanical loading. The four-variable refined plate theory is a simple and efficient higher-order shear deformation theory, which predicts parabolic variation of transverse shear stresses across the plate thickness and satisfies zero traction conditions on the plate free surfaces. The weak form of governing equations is derived using the principle of minimum potential energy, and a 4-node non-conforming rectangular plate element with 8 degrees of freedom per node is introduced for discretizing the domain. Several benchmark problems are solved by the developed MATLAB code and the obtained results are compared with those from exact and other numerical solutions, showing good agreement.  相似文献

A compressive postbuckling analysis is presented for a laminated cylindrical shell with piezoelectric actuators subjected to the combined action of mechanical, electric and thermal loads. The temperature field considered is assumed to be a uniform distribution over the shell surface and through the shell thickness, and the electric field is assumed to be the transverse component EZ only. The material properties are assumed to be independent of the temperature and the electric field. The governing equations are based on the classical shell theory with von Kármán–Donnell-type kinematic nonlinearity. The nonlinear prebuckling deformations and initial geometric imperfections of the shell are both taken into account. A boundary layer theory of shell buckling, which includes the effects of nonlinear prebuckling deformations, large deflections in the postbuckling range, and initial geometric imperfections of the shell, is extended to the case of hybrid laminated cylindrical shells. A singular perturbation technique is employed to determine the buckling loads and postbuckling equilibrium paths. The numerical illustrations concern the compressive postbuckling behavior of perfect and imperfect, cross-ply laminated cylindrical thin shells with fully covered or embedded piezoelectric actuators under different sets of thermal and electric loading conditions. The effects played by temperature rise, applied voltage, shell geometric parameter, stacking sequence, as well as initial geometric imperfections are studied.  相似文献

A theoretical framework for analyzing low-energy impacts of laminated shells with active and sensory piezoelectric layers is presented, including impactor dynamics and contact law. The formulation encompasses a coupled piezoelectric shell theory mixing first order shear displacement assumptions and layerwise variation of electric potential. An exact in-plane Ritz solution for the impact of open cylindrical piezoelectric–composite shells is developed and solved numerically using an explicit time integration scheme. The active impact control problem of adaptive cylindrical shells with distributed curved piezoelectric actuators is addressed. The cases of optimized state feedback controllers and output feedback controllers using piezoelectric sensors are analyzed. Numerical results quantify the impact response of cylindrical shells of various curvatures including the signal of curved piezoelectric sensors. Additional numerical studies quantify the impact response of adaptive cylindrical panels and investigate the feasibility of actively reducing the impact force.  相似文献

由于非凡的物理性能,石墨烯纳米片(GPL)被认为是最有吸引力的复合材料增强材料之一.GPL增强材料可以明显提高聚偏氟乙烯(PVDF)压电性能和力学性能.在力电载荷作用下,对含均匀石墨烯薄片增强(GSR)智能压电复合材料层合梁层间应力预测至关重要.若对受到力电耦合作用且层与层之间材料性能突变的压电层合梁层间剪切变形预测有误,则其层间应力过大可能导致层间失效.因此,论文提出一种适于分析此类问题且满足层与层之间相容性条件的有效力电耦合模型,用于含GSR致动器的复合材料层合梁层间应力分析.应用Reissner混合变分原理(RMVT),可以提高考虑力电耦合效应的横向剪应力预测精度.三维(3D)弹性理论和所选模型计算结果将用于评估所提梁模型性能.此外,还从力电载荷、压电层厚度、石墨烯体积分数和长厚比等方面对含GSR致动器复合材料层合梁力学响应特性进行了系统的研究.  相似文献

本文基于von Karman薄板非线性理论,压电基本方程和经典层合板理论,对上,下表面粘有压电传感膜层的圆薄板压力传感器的力-电耦合特性进行了定理分析。首先,针对压电层合圆板传感器件建立了考虑几何非线性变形的力-意耦合模型。给出了压电薄膜层感应电量的计算公式;然后,采用级数解法进行了求解,得到了非线性静力耦合问题的幂级数精确解,给出了传感器静态测量过程中所关心的压力-电量特征曲线和中心挠度,电量特征曲线;同时,定量讨论了压电二次效应对感应电量和层合结构中心挠度的影响。通过所得结果,在压电式压力传感器设计中,为采用电信号直接输出有关结构的变形和外界载荷等待测参量提供了依据。  相似文献

After the Hamilton principle for thermo-mechanical–electric coupling problem is derived, the third-order shear deformation theory is extended to encompass piezothermoelastic laminated plates. Based on the velocity feedback control, a model for the active vibration control of laminated plates with piezothermoelastic sensor/actuator is established. An analytical solution is obtained for the case of general forces acting on a simply supported piezothermoelastic laminated plate. Numerical results are presented. In this work, two-phase parallel fiber-reinforced periodic piezoelectric composites are considered wherein the constituents exhibit transverse isotropy and the cells have different configurations. Mechanical imperfect contact at the interface of the piezoelectric composites is studied via linear spring model. The statement of the problem for two-phase piezoelectric composites with mechanical imperfect contact is given. The local problems are formulated by means of the asymptotic homogenization method, and their solutions are found using complex variable theory. Analytical formulae are obtained for the effective properties of the composites with spring imperfect type of contact and different rhombic cells. Using the concept of a representative volume element (RVE), a finite element model is created, which combines the angular distribution of fibers and imperfect contact conditions (spring type) between the phases. Periodic boundary conditions are applied to the RVE, so that effective material properties can be derived. The fibers are distributed in such a way that the microstructure is characterized by a rhombic cell. The presented numerical homogenization technique is validated by comparing results with theoretical approach reported in the literature. Some studies of particular cases, numerical examples, and comparisons between the two aforementioned methods with other theoretical results illustrate that the model is efficient for the analysis of composites with presence of rhombic cells and the aforementioned imperfect contact.  相似文献

A general approach, based on shearable shell theory, to predict the influence of geometric non-linearities on the natural frequencies of an elastic anisotropic laminated cylindrical shell incorporating large displacements and rotations is presented in this paper. The effects of shear deformations and rotary inertia are taken into account in the equations of motion. The hybrid finite element approach and shearable shell theory are used to determine the shape function matrix. The analytical solution is divided into two parts. In part one, the displacement functions are obtained by the exact solution of the equilibrium equations of a cylindrical shell based on shearable shell theory instead of the usually used and more arbitrary interpolating polynomials. The mass and linear stiffness matrices are derived by exact analytical integration. In part two, the modal coefficients are obtained, using Green's exact strain-displacement relations, for these displacement functions. The second- and third-order non-linear stiffness matrices are then calculated by precise analytical integration and superimposed on the linear part of equations to establish the non-linear modal equations.
