Photocatalysts of TiO2 and La-doped TiO2 were prepared by calcining the pure TiO2 sols and the sols mixed with La(NO3)3⋅6H2O at 873 K, respectively. These photocatalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and N2 adsorption-desorption isotherms measurement. As results, the BET surface area, pore diameter, mesopore volume and micropore volume slightly increased, while the crystallite size and the phase structure were little affected by lanthanum doping. The equilibrium adsorption of methylene blue (MB) on the photocatalysts were measured in a dark room. The adsorption isotherms were confirmed to fit to the Langmuir theory. Photocatalytic activities of the photocatalysts were studied by employing the photocatalytic degradation of MB in water and degradation of acetaldehyde in air under UV-irradiation using a black light. Kinetic analysis revealed that the rate controlling steps could be the surface reaction of the adsorbed MB on the catalyst surface for MB degradation and the reaction of adsorbed acetaldehyde with the gaseous acetaldehyde for degradation of acetaldehyde, respectively.  相似文献

The SEM and AFM images of three TiO2 nano-films prepared at different conditions were obtained and transformed into digital format.The multifractal analyses for three films were made using height from a depth of thickness of film B and q from 55 to -55.The scaleinvariance is very good for all inΧq(ε)-lnε plots and τ(q)-q plots at least close to three orders of magnitude.But the multifractal spectra f(a) of the films are quite distinct due to their different height distribution.  相似文献

Nano-composite TiO2?CZrO2 materials were prepared via sol?Cgel processes by hydrolysis of mixtures of titanium- and zirconium-containing alkoxides with TiO2:ZrO2 ratios of 1:2, 1:1, 2:1, and 10:1. Precipitated powders were dried at room temperature and annealed in ambient air at temperatures between 350 and 500?°C for 4?h. Pure TiO2 and ZrO2 powders were synthesized for comparison. Samples were characterized with X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray absorption near edge fine structure (XANES). The detailed analysis of those data provides the crystalline and amorphous phase composition as well as the crystallite particle size. According to XRD and XANES analysis, only the two pure oxide samples and one of the composite samples with a composition TiO2:ZrO2?=?10:1, crystallized. Both titania containing powders, the pure TiO2 and the TiO2:ZrO2?=?10:1 composite, were found to crystallize in the anatase structure. ZrO2 was found to stay amorphous in the composites but crystalline in the pure oxide. In the crystallized composite TiO2:ZrO2?=?10:1 sample, the concentration of the amorphous phase remains larger than in pure TiO2 samples, but the crystallite size was found to be nearly constant with increasing annealing temperature in contrast to the increasing particle size of pure TiO2-samples. Pure TiO2 precipitates are amorphous directly after preparation, however they crystallize after 6?month storage at ambient conditions by aging. Such an aging was not observed for the TiO2:ZrO2 composites.  相似文献

Nanoporous TiO2 photocatalysts were prepared by use of controlled drying method with surfactants. The surface area and porous properties are dependent on the chain length of incorporated surfactant cation. The TiO2 materials prepared in the presence of surfactant molecules during the gel formation exhibit much higher photocatalytic activity than that prepared in the absence of surfactants.  相似文献

A thermodynamic model was established to determine ion-exchange conditions for the synthesis of potassium hexatitanate (K2O·6TiO2) and titanium dioxide (TiO2) from potassium tetratitanate (K2O·4TiO2) fiber. In the proposed model equilibrium species in the solid phase and corresponding ion-exchange equilibrium constants at 298.15 K were determined from the experimental data of Sasaki et al. [Inorg. Chem. 24 (1985) 2265]. In order to verify the proposed model, prediction results were compared with experimental data determined in literature and those measured in this work. The comparison shows a good agreement. Based on this, the proposed model was also used to predict more extensive suitable conditions for the synthesis of K2O·6TiO2 and TiO2.  相似文献

Electrolytic fixation of CO2 was investigated by electrocarboxylation of organic halides (RX), and four esters Ⅰ,Ⅱ Ⅲ, Ⅳ) were obtained in moderate yields. Electrochemical reduction esterifications of RX in the presence of CO2 were carried out on nanocry‘stalline TiO2-Pt electrode. Sol–gel dip-coating technique can be used to fabricate SiO2–TiO2 composite film with self-cleaning and anti-reflectance properties from low-cost SiO2 colloid solution and Ti(OC4H9)4. The physical and structural properties have been investigated by UV–visible spectrophotometer, contact angle meter, XRD, FT-IR, FESEM. UV–vis spectra and methyl orange photodegradation experiments showed that the SiO2–TiO2 composite film had high light transmittance and photocatalytic activity.  相似文献

The nano-ZnFe2O4/TiO2 films possess the functions of desulfurization and degradation for organic pollutants. The sols of ZnFe2O4/TiO2 were prepared by sol-gel method and coated on glass and porous ceramic by vertical coating and dipping-lift processes, respectively, and the samples were obtained after drying and sintering. The composition, appearance, absorption spectrum of the films, and the influence of the film on porous ceramic performances were analyzed using SEM, AFM, UV-Vis spectrometer, and mercury porosimeter, respectively, to determine the operation parameters of the multifunction porous ceramic elements for gas-purification.  相似文献

This paper reviews acid–base bifunctional catalysis and surface properties (morphology, composition, specific area, acidity/basicity, site density) on TiO2–ZrO2 (abbreviated as TZ) mixed oxides. The phase change from crystalline single oxides (TiO2 and ZrO2) to amorphous TZ mixed oxide results in decreasing grain size and site density, increasing surface area, acid/base amount and strength, and better activity/selectivity. Different acid–base bifunctional mechanisms (concerted, go-together, stepwise) were proposed to interpret the reaction behavior of various reactions (esterification, dehydration, dehydrogenation, isomerization, dehydrocyclization) over the acid–base bifunctional TZ catalysts.  相似文献

The oxidation of phenol on the RuO2–TiO2/Ti electrode has been studied by cyclic voltammetry, polarization measurements, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and potentiostatic transients in H2SO4 and NaCl aqueous solutions. A reaction path with polymerization as the main reaction and side reactions after the initial step, similar to the reaction path on other electrode materials, is suggested. The formation of a phenoxy radical in a diffusion-controlled irreversible process is the initial step. The polymerization of phenoxy radicals leads to the formation of porous polyoxyphenylene film, strongly adherent to the electrode surface. The cyclic voltammetry measurements indicate side products, which could be, according to the literature, of quinone-like structure. Polyoxyphenylene film inhibits further oxidation of phenol, although complete electrode passivation was not observed. The presence of polyoxyphenylene film does not influence the pseudocapacitive behaviour of the electrode to a great extent, since the polyoxyphenylene film covers dominantly the coating surface, while active sites placed within coating cracks remain uncovered. The film seems to be permeable for hydrogen ions and water molecules.  相似文献

The photodegradation reaction rate of CHCl3 in TiO2 particulate suspension was imperoved significantly by HCl-treatment.The effect of HCl-treatment on the photocatalytic activity of TiO2 was strdied in a PEC cell by using Intensity-Modulated Photocurrent Spectroscopy(IMPS).The magntude of photocurrent response and the characteristic frequencies of the upper and lower semicircles in the complex plane of IMPS response were analyzed,and the ccathodic and anodic reaction processes of photogenerated holes and electrons were discussed.The increases in the cathodic and anodic photocurrent response and in the time constants of both cathodic and anodic reaction processes of photogenerated holes and electrons were discussed.The increases in the cathodic and anodic photocurrent response and in the time constants of both cathodic and anodic reaction processes indicate that HCl-treatment leads to the improvement of the photocatalytic activity of TiO2 and a change of the photocatalytic kinetic mechanism.  相似文献

Cathodic electrodeposition was used to prepare thin films of WO3 and TiO2 on F-doped SnO2 glass substrates. A new pulsed deposition technique was developed to prepare WO3–TiO2 composite films over a wide compositional range. Such composite films containing comparable amounts of WO3 and TiO2 showed superior photoelectrochemical performance in 0.1 M Na2SO4 relative to the component oxides themselves.  相似文献

Photocatalysts with well-designed compositions and structures are desirable for achieving highly efficient solar-to-chemical energy conversion. Heterostructured semiconductor photocatalysts with advanced hollow structures possess beneficial features for promoting the activity towards photocatalytic reactions. Here we develop a facile synthetic strategy for the fabrication of Fe2TiO5–TiO2 nanocages (NCs) as anode materials in photoelectrochemical (PEC) water splitting cells. A hydrothermal reaction is performed to transform MIL-125(Ti) nanodisks (NDs) to Ti–Fe–O NCs, which are further converted to Fe2TiO5–TiO2 NCs through a post annealing process. Owing to the compositional and structural advantages, the heterostructured Fe2TiO5–TiO2 NCs show enhanced performance for PEC water oxidation compared with TiO2 NDs, Fe2TiO5 nanoparticles (NPs) and Fe2TiO5–TiO2 NPs.  相似文献

The rheology of mixtures of hydrated aluminum oxide and hydrated titanium dioxide sols was investigated. It was shown that flow curves depend on the mixture composition, the age of initial sols, the contact time of components, and the temperature. At low deformation rates, particles are aligned with the flow; this effect is partially reversible. At high shear rates, a discontinuity appears in the system; the effect depends on the age of initial sols.  相似文献

Amorphous SiO2, TiO2 and xSiO2–(1–x)TiO2 ceramic materials with selected values of x 0.5, 0.7 and 0.9, have been prepared via sol-gel process using silicon tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) and titanium tetraisopropoxide Ti(OPri)4. By means of the combined use of differential thermal analysis (DTA),thermogravimetry (TG), X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and X-ray induced Auger electron spectroscopy(XAES), the surface microchemical structure and morphology of the sol-gel materials have been studied as a function of thermal treatments carried out in air up to 1200°C. In the range of temperature from 50 to 450°C, DTA-TG results evidence a remarkable mass loss due to the evaporation of organic solvents entrapped in the sol-gel materials and of the remnant organic components of the precursor metal alkoxides. In the range of temperature from 400 to about 1000°C, by means of the combined use of DTA, XRD, XPS and XAES techniques as a function of temperature and of chemical composition, it is possible to evidence the formation of crystalline phases such as quartz, anatase and rutile. Furthermore, line shape analysis of O1s XPS peak allows to distinguish between single O–Ti and O–Si bonds and also to disclose the presence of cross linking Si–O–Ti bonds, that act as bridges between SiO2and TiO2 moieties. As a function of temperature, Si–O–Ti bonds are broken and the formation of new Ti–O and Si–O bonds as in TiO2 and SiO2takes place as well as a silica segregation phenomenon.
