This paper studies the singular limit of the non-isentropic Navier-Stokes equations with zero thermal coefficient in a two-dimensional bounded domain as the Mach number goes to zero. A uniform existence result is obtained in a time interval independent of the Mach number, provided that the initial data satisfy the “bounded derivative conditions”, that is, the time derivatives up to order two are bounded initially, and Navier?s slip boundary condition is imposed.  相似文献

The low Mach number limit for classical solutions of the compressible magnetohydrodynamic equations without thermal conductivity is, here, studied. A uniform existence result for the Cauchy problem in is proved under the assumption that the initial data are uniformly bounded with respect to the Mach number in and are well‐prepared in . We study the asymptotic behaviors of the regular solutions to the compressible Navier-Stokes equations for “well-prepared” initial data for all time as the Mach number tends to zero, by deriving a differential inequality with certain decay property. The estimates obtained in this paper are uniform both in time and Mach number.  相似文献

The low Mach number limit of inviscid Hookean elastodynamic equations is rigorously proved in bounded domain, whole space and periodic domain, respectively. The uniform existence of smooth solutions and convergence results as the Mach number tends to zero are obtained in three different domains.  相似文献

We are concerned with the existence and uniqueness of local or global solutions for slightly compressible viscous fluids in the whole space. In [6] and [7], we proved local and global well-posedness results for initial data in critical spaces very close to the one used by H. Fujita and T. Kato for incompressible flows (see [14]). In the present paper, we address the question of convergence to the incompressible model (for ill-prepared initial data) when the Mach number goes to zero. When the initial data are small in a critical space, we get global existence and convergence. For large initial data and a bit of additional regularity, the slightly compressible solution is shown to exist as long as the corresponding incompressible solution does. As a corollary, we get global existence (and uniqueness) for slightly compressible two-dimensional fluids.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with a one-dimensional nonisentropic compressible planar magnetohydrodynamic flow with general initial data, whose behaviors at far fields x→± are different. The low Mach limit for the system is rigorously justified. The limit relies on the uniform estimates including weighted time derivatives and an extended convergence lemma.  相似文献

A relaxation system based on a Lattice-Boltzmann type discrete velocity model is considered in the low Mach number limit. A third order relaxation scheme is developed working uniformly for all ranges of the mean free path and Mach number. In the incompressible Navier-Stokes limit the scheme reduces to an explicit high order finite difference scheme for the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations based on nonoscillatory upwind discretization. Numerical results and comparisons with other approaches are presented for several test cases in one and two space dimensions.

It is showed that, as the Mach number goes to zero, the weak solution of the compressible Navier-Stokes equations in the whole space with general initial data converges to the strong solution of the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations as long as the later exists. The proof of the result relies on the new modulated energy functional and the Strichartz's estimate of linear wave equation.  相似文献

In this paper, we develop a continuation principle for general hyperbolic singular limit problems in more general Besov spaces, which covers the cases of usual Sobolev spaces with higher regularity in and the critical Besov space. As an application, we give a simple justification for the low Mach number limit of compressible magnetohydrodynamics equations. More precisely, for the Mach number sufficiently small, the smooth compressible flows exist on the (finite) time interval where the incompressible magnetohydrodynamics equations have smooth solutions, and the definite convergence orders are also obtained. In this paper, we study the zero dissipation limit problem for the one-dimensional compressible Navier-Stokes equations. We prove that if the solution of the inviscid Euler equations is piecewise constants with a contact discontinuity, then there exist smooth solutions to the Navier-Stokes equations which converge to the inviscid solution away from the contact discontinuity at a rate of as the heat-conductivity coefficient κ tends to zero, provided that the viscosity μ is of higher order than the heat-conductivity κ. Without loss of generality, we set μ≡0. Here we have no need to restrict the strength of the contact discontinuity to be small.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the axisymmetric Navier-Stokes equations, and provide a refined a priori estimate for the swirl component of the vorticity. This extends Theorem 2 of [D. Chae, J. Lee, On the regularity of the axisymmetric solutions of the Navier-Stokes equations, Math. Z., 239 (2002), 645--671].  相似文献

The connection between the compressible viscous quantum magnetohydrodynamic model with low Mach number and the ideal incompressible magnetohydrodynamic equations is studied in a periodic domain. More precisely, for well‐prepared initial data, we prove the convergence of classical solutions of the compressible viscous quantum magnetohydrodynamic model to the classical solutions of the incompressible ideal magnetohydrodynamic equations with a convergence rate when the Mach number, viscosity coefficient, and magnetic diffusion coefficient simultaneously tend to zero.  相似文献

In this paper we study the asymptotic limiting behavior of the solutions to the initial boundary value problem for linearized one-dimensional compressible Navier-Stokes equations. We consider the characteristic boundary conditions, that is we assume that an eigenvalue of the associated inviscid Euler system vanishes uniformly on the boundary. The aim of this paper is to understand the evolution of the boundary layer, to construct the asymptotic ansatz which is uniformly valid up to the boundary, and to obtain rigorously the uniform convergence to the solution of the Euler equations without the weakness assumption on the boundary layer.  相似文献

We give a refinement of Lemma 2.2 in [D. Hoff, J.A. Smoller, Non-formation of vacuum states for compressible Navier-Stokes equations, Comm. Math. Phys. 216 (2001) 255-276] and complete the proof of non-formation of vacuum states for one-dimensional compressible Navier-Stokes equation given there.  相似文献

We consider the regularity problem for 3D Navier-Stokes equations in a bounded domain with smooth boundary. A new sufficient condition which guarantees the regularity of weak solutions on the quotient p/(1+|u|δ1+|u|δ2) for the Navier-Stokes equations is established.  相似文献

This note presents a short and elementary justification of the classical zero Mach number limit for isentropic compressible Euler equations with prepared initial data. We also show the existence of smooth compressible flows, with the Mach number sufficiently small, on the (finite) time interval where the incompressible Euler equations have smooth solutions.
