First we establish some necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of exponential attractors by using ωω-limit compactness and a measure of non-compactness. Then we provide a new method for proving the existence of exponential attractors. We prove the existence of solutions for a Navier-Stokes model in two dimensions with an external force containing infinite delay effects in the weighted space Cγ(H). Then, under additional suitable assumptions, we prove the existence and uniqueness of a stationary solution and the exponential decay of the solutions of the evolutionary problem to this stationary solution. Finally, we study the existence of pullback attractors for the dynamical system associated to the problem under more general assumptions.  相似文献

We study a two-phase Stefan problem with kinetics. Here we prove existence of a finite-dimensional attractor for the problem without heat losses. Fot the most part we use a more elegant technique of energetic type estimates in appropriately defined weighted Sobolev spaces as opposite to the parabolic potentials of [9]. We demonstrate existence of compact attractors in the Sobolev spaces and prove that the attractor consists of sufficiently regular functions. This allows us to show that the Hausdorff dimension of the attractor is finite.  相似文献

In this paper we consider non-autonomous reaction–diffusion systems with impulsive effects at fixed moments of time from the point of view of the theory of global attractors. For a translation-compact nonlinear term which does not provide the uniqueness of the Cauchy problem, and for different classes of non-damped multivalued impulse perturbations, we construct a multivalued non-autonomous dynamical system and prove for it the existence of a compact global attractor.  相似文献

We study a reaction-diffusion system of two parabolic differential equations describing the behavior of a nuclear reactor. We provide existence results for nontrivial periodic solutions, nonexistence results for stationary solutions and we prove that, depending on the value of the parameters, either the system admits a compact global attractor, or the solutions are unbounded.  相似文献

This paper investigates the pullback asymptotic behaviors for the non-autonomous micropolar fluid flows in 2D bounded domains. We use the energy method, combining with some important properties of the generated processes, to prove the existence of pullback exponential attractors and global pullback attractors and show that they both with finite fractal dimension. Further, we give the relationship between global pullback attractors and pullback exponential attractors.  相似文献

We consider monotone semigroups in ordered spaces and give general results concerning the existence of extremal equilibria and global attractors. We then show some applications of the abstract scheme to various evolutionary problems, from ODEs and retarded functional differential equations to parabolic and hyperbolic PDEs. In particular, we exhibit the dynamical properties of semigroups defined by semilinear parabolic equations in RN with nonlinearities depending on the gradient of the solution. We consider as well systems of reaction-diffusion equations in RN and provide some results concerning extremal equilibria of the semigroups corresponding to damped wave problems in bounded domains or in RN. We further discuss some nonlocal and quasilinear problems, as well as the fourth order Cahn-Hilliard equation.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with maximization and minimization problems of the energy integral associated to p-Laplace equations depending on functions that belong to a class of rearrangements. We prove existence and uniqueness results, and present some features of optimal solutions. The radial case is discussed in detail. In this article, using a result of Pata and Zelik (2007) [45], we derive a general result on the existence of pullback attractors for closed cocycles acting on a Banach space, where the strong continuity is replaced by a much weaker requirement that the cocycle be a closed map. As application, we prove the existence of the pullback attractor of a cocycle associated with the z-weak solutions of a non-autonomous two-dimensional primitive equations of the ocean.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to proving some asymptotic regularity, for both reaction-diffusion equation with a polynomially growing nonlinearity of arbitrary order and strongly damped wave equation with critical nonlinearity, which excel the sharp regularity allowed by the corresponding stationary equations (equilibrium points). This paper deals with a nonclassical initial boundary value problem for a two dimensional parabolic equation with Bessel operator. We prove the existence and uniqueness of the weak solution of the given nonlinear problem. We start by solving the associated linear problem. After writing this latter in its operator form, we establish an a priori bound from which we deduce the uniqueness of the strong solution. For the solvability of the associated linear problem, we prove that the range of the operator generated by the considered problem is dense. On the basis of the obtained results of the linear problem, we apply an iterative process to establish the existence and uniqueness of the nonlinear problem.  相似文献

Here we consider a singular perturbation of the Hodgkin-Huxley system which is derived from the Lieberstein's model. We study the associated dynamical system on a suitable bounded phase space, when the perturbation parameter ε (i.e., the axon specific inductance) is sufficiently small. We prove the existence of bounded absorbing sets as well as of smooth attracting sets. We deduce the existence of a smooth global attractor Aε. Finally we prove the main result, that is, the existence of a family of exponential attractors {Eε} which is Hölder continuous with respect to ε.  相似文献

Global asymptotic dynamics of a representative cubic-autocatalytic reaction-diffusion system, the reversible Selkov equations, are investigated. This system features two pairs of oppositely signed nonlinear terms so that the asymptotic dissipative condition is not satisfied, which causes substantial difficulties in an attempt to attest that the longtime dynamics are asymptotically dissipative. An L2 to H1 global attractor of finite fractal dimension is shown to exist for the semiflow of the weak solutions of the reversible Selkov equations with the Dirichlet boundary condition on a bounded domain of dimension n≤3. A new method of rescaling and grouping estimation is used to prove the absorbing property and the asymptotical compactness. Importantly, the upper semicontinuity (robustness) in the H1 product space of the global attractors for the family of solution semiflows with respect to the reverse reaction rate as it tends to zero is proved through a new approach of transformative decomposition to overcome the barrier of the perturbed singularity between the reversible and non-reversible systems by showing the uniform dissipativity and the uniformly bounded evolution of the union of global attractors under the bundle of reversible and non-reversible semiflows.  相似文献

We determine the critical blow-up exponent for a Keller-Segel-type chemotaxis model, where the chemotactic sensitivity equals some nonlinear function of the particle density. Assuming some growth conditions for the chemotactic sensitivity function we establish an a priori estimate for the solution of the problem considered and conclude the global existence and boundedness of the solution. Furthermore, we prove the existence of solutions that become unbounded in finite or infinite time in that situation where this a priori estimate fails.  相似文献

We consider phase-field systems of Caginalp type on a three-dimensional bounded domain. The order parameter fulfills a dynamic boundary condition, while the (relative) temperature is subject to a homogeneous boundary condition of Dirichlet, Neumann or Robin type. Moreover, the two equations are nonlinearly coupled through a quadratic growth function. Here we extend several results which have been proven by some of the authors for the linear coupling. More precisely, we demonstrate the existence and uniqueness of global solutions. Then we analyze the associated dynamical system and we establish the existence of global as well as exponential attractors. We also discuss the convergence of given solutions to a single equilibrium.  相似文献
