In this paper we prove some theorems of commutativity for prime rings or 3-prime near-rings with a suitably constrained generalized derivation. As a consequence of the results obtained, we prove several commutativity theorems for 3-prime near-rings and prime rings. Also, we prove some other results about the generalized derivation either on a near-ring or on a ring.  相似文献

We study the optimal control problem of minimizing the freezing time in the discrete Hegselmann–Krause (HK) model of opinion dynamics. The underlying model is extended with a set of strategic agents that can freely place their opinion at every time step. Indeed, if suitably coordinated, the strategic agents can significantly lower the freezing time of an instance of the HK model. We give several lower and upper worst-case bounds for the freezing time of a HK system with a given number of strategic agents, while still leaving some gaps for future research.  相似文献

The family of skew-symmetric distributions is a wide set of probability density functions obtained by suitably combining a few components which can be quite freely selected provided some simple requirements are satisfied. Although intense recent work has produced several results for certain sub-families of this construction, much less is known in general terms. The present paper explores some questions within this framework and provides conditions for the above-mentioned components to ensure that the final distribution enjoys specific properties.  相似文献

This paper studies time-delayed switched systems that include both stable and unstable modes. By using multiple Lyapunov-functions technique and a dwell-time approach, several criteria on exponential stability for both linear and nonlinear systems are established. It is shown that by suitably controlling the switching between the stable and unstable modes, exponential stabilization of the switched system can be achieved. Some examples and numerical simulations are provided to illustrate our results.  相似文献

In this paper, we propose several relaxation algorithms for solving the tensor equation arising from the higher‐order Markov chain and the multilinear PageRank. The semi‐symmetrization technique on the original equation is also employed to modify the proposed algorithms. The convergence analysis is given for the proposed algorithms. It is shown that the new algorithms are more efficient than the existing ones by some numerical experiments when relaxation parameters are chosen suitably.  相似文献

A rate-independent model for the quasi-static magneto-elastic evolution of a magnetic shape-memory single crystal is presented. In particular, the purely mechanical Souza–Auricchio model for shape-memory alloys is here combined with classical micro-magnetism by suitably associating magnetization and inelastic strain. By balancing the effect of conservative and dissipative actions, a nonlinear evolution PDE system of rate-independent type is obtained. We prove the existence of so-called energetic solutions to this system. Moreover, we discuss several limits for the model corresponding to parameter asymptotics by means of a rigorous Γ-convergence argument.  相似文献

This paper studies the problem of robust exponential stability and delayed-state-feedback stabilization of uncertain impulsive stochastic systems with time-varying delay. The state variables on the impulses are assumed dependent on the present state variables as well as delayed state variables. Based on the Razumikhin techniques and Lyapunov functions, some robust mean-square exponential stability criteria are derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities. The results show that the system will stable if the impulses’ frequency and amplitude are suitably related to the increase or decrease of the continuous flows. Furthermore, the robust delayed-state-feedback controllers that mean-square exponentially stabilize the uncertain impulsive stochastic systems are proposed. Finally, several numerical examples are given to show the effectiveness of the results.  相似文献

This paper deals with the global dynamical behaviors of the positive solutions for a parabolic type ratio-dependent predator-prey system with a crowding term in the prey equation,where it is assumed that the coefficient of the functional response is less than the coefficient of the intrinsic growth rates of the prey species.We demonstrated some special dynamical behaviors of the positive solutions of this system which the persistence of the coexistence of two species can be obtained when the crowding region in the prey equation only is designed suitably.Furthermore,we can obtain that under some conditions,the unique positive steady state solution of the system is globally asymptotically stable.  相似文献

This report is relevant to the practical forecasting situation in which a decision-maker is faced with several feasible predictors for his variable of interest. If he has a substantial amount of data available on the performance of each of his predictors, then it is well known that a composite forecast can be suitably derived as an optimal forecasting procedure. Alternatively, if only a small amount of evidence is available on the predictors' performance, then there appear to be controversial recommendations upon whether it is still optimal to pursue a policy of synthesis leading to a composite predictor or whether it is better to attempt a selection of the singularly best forecasting model. This report discusses some of the associated issues and provides some experimental evidence on the performance of these two policies.  相似文献

This paper introduces a system with switching multi-model structure which can generate chaos. Sub-models in this structure are fractional-order linear systems with any desired commensurate order less than 1. It shows that this system is capable of demonstrating chaotic behavior if its parameters and switching rule are suitably chosen. The structure of the proposed system is defined in a general form; consequently various chaotic attractors can be created by this system with different choices of order, parameters and switching rule. Numerical simulations illustrate behavior of the introduced system in some different situations.  相似文献

This paper deals with a ratio-dependent predator–prey system with a crowding term in the prey equation, where it is assumed that the coefficient of the functional response is less than the coefficient of the intrinsic growth rates of the prey species. We demonstrate some special behaviors of solutions to the system which the coexistence states of two species can be obtained when the crowding region in the prey equation only is designed suitably. Furthermore, we demonstrate that under some conditions, the positive steady state solution of the predator–prey system with a crowding term in the prey equation is unique and stable. Recently, several authors demonstrated the usefulness of fractional calculus in obtaining particular solutions of a number of such familiar second-order differential equations as those associated with Gauss, Legendre, Jacobi, Chebyshev, Coulomb, Whittaker, Euler, Hermite, and Weber equations. The main object of this paper is to show how some of the latest contributions on the subject by Tu et al. In this paper, we study the large-time behavior of solutions of the Cauchy problem to a one-dimensional Navier-Stokes-Poisson coupled system, modeling the dynamics of a viscous gas in the presence of radiation. When the far field states are suitably given, and the corresponding Riemann problem for the Euler system admits only a contact discontinuity wave solution with the far field states as Riemann initial data. Then, we can define a “viscous contact wave” for such a Navier-Stokes-Poisson coupled system. Based on elementary energy methods and ellipticity of the equation of the radiation flux, we can prove the “viscous contact wave” is stable provided the strength of the contact discontinuity wave and the perturbation of the initial data are suitably small.  相似文献

Optimal estimates on stabilized finite volume methods for the three dimensional Navier–Stokes model are investigated and developed in this paper. Based on the global existence theorem [23], we first prove the global bound for the velocity in the H1‐norm in time of a solution for suitably small data, and uniqueness of a suitably small solution by contradiction. Then, a full set of estimates is then obtained by some classical Galerkin techniques based on the relationship between finite element methods and finite volume methods approximated by the lower order finite elements for the three dimensional Navier–Stokes model.  相似文献

In this article we use the monotone method for the computation of numerical solutions of a nonlinear reaction-diffusion-convection problem with time delay. Three monotone iteration processes for a suitably formulated finite-difference system of the problem are presented. It is shown that the sequence of iteration from each of these iterative schemes converges from either above or below to a unique solution of the finite-difference system without any monotone condition on the nonlinear reaction function. An analytical comparison result among the three processes of iterations is given. In this paper a general time-dependent stochastic model for the analysis of the two-compartment reversible system with non-homogeneous Poisson inputs and arbitrary residence times in each of the compartments is presented. The transition probabilities are suitably modified in order to be useful for estimation purposes of the parameters of the model. Various results are derived in terms of the distributions of the residence times only and are expressed in the form of convolution integrals which are readily evaluated by means of known computational algorithms. Finally, the theoretical results are applied to examples from the literature on manpower planning and some practical implications for the personnel and labour fields are considered.  相似文献
