CeO2-γ-Al2O3 mixed oxides have been prepared by using both co-precipitation and impregnation methods followed by calcination at 650°C and investigated by 27Al MAS NMR, powder X-ray diffraction and temperature programmed reduction techniques to understand the nature of chemical interaction existing between CeO2 and γ-Al2O3. The 27Al NMR spectra of CeO2-containing samples showed an additional peak placed at 40 ppm along with the two peaks at 68 and 6 ppm which originate from the tetrahedrally and octahedrally coordinated Al3+ ions present in γ-Al2O3. As the concentration of CeO2 in the mixed oxide increased, the intensity of the 40 ppm peak increased and this was the prominent peak for CeO2-rich mixed oxide samples. The origin of this 40 ppm peak is discussed and it is inferred that this peak is due to Al3+ ions, which are present in CeO2 lattice, forming a solid solution.  相似文献

Single crystals of SrAl2Si2 were synthesized by reaction of the elements in an aluminum flux at 1000 °C. SrAl2Si2 is isostructural to CaAl2Si2 and crystallizes in the hexagonal space group P-3m1 (90 K, a=4.1834 (2), c=7.4104 (2) Å, Z=1, R1=0.0156, wR2=0.0308). Thermal analysis shows that the compound melts at ∼1020 °C. Low-temperature resistivity on single crystals along the c-axis shows metallic behavior with room temperature resistivity value of ∼7.5 mΩ cm. High-temperature Seebeck, resistivity, and thermal conductivity measurements were made on hot-pressed pellets. The Seebeck coefficient shows negative values in entire temperature range decreasing from ∼−78 μV K−1 at room temperature to −34 μV K−1 at 1173 K. Seebeck coefficients are negative indicating n-type behavior; however, the temperature dependence is consistent with contribution from minority p-type carriers as well. The lattice contribution to the thermal conductivity is higher than for clathrate structures containing Al and Si, approximately 50 mW cm−1 K, and contributes to the overall low zT for this compound.  相似文献

High-temperature crystal structure of the layered cuprates Ln2CuO4, Ln=Pr, Nd and Sm with tetragonal T′-structure was refined using X-ray powder diffraction data. Substantial anisotropy of the thermal expansion behavior was observed in their crystal structures with thermal expansion coefficients (TEC) along a- and c-axis changing from TEC(a)/TEC(c)≈1.37 (Pr) to 0.89 (Nd) and 0.72 (Sm). Temperature dependence of the interatomic distances in Ln2CuO4 shows significantly lower expansion rate of the chemical bond between Pr and oxygen atoms (O1) belonging to CuO2-planes (TEC(Pr-O1)=11.7 ppm K−1) in comparison with other cuprates: TEC (Nd-O1)=15.2 ppm K−1 and TEC (Sm-O1)=15.1 ppm K−1. High-temperature electrical conductivity of Pr2CuO4 is the highest one in the whole studied temperature range (298-1173 K): 0.1-108 S/cm for Pr2CuO4, 0.07-23 S/cm for Nd2CuO4 and 2×10−4-9 S/cm for Sm2CuO4. The trace diffusion coefficient (DT) of oxygen for Pr2CuO4 determined by isotopic exchange depth profile (IEDP) technique using secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS) varies in the range 7.2×10−13 cm2/s (973 K) and 3.8×10−10 cm2/s (1173 K) which are in between those observed for the manganese and cobalt-based perovskites.  相似文献

The collisional broadening and shift rate coefficients of the “forbidden“ 6p2 3P0 → 6p2 3P1 transition in lead were determined by diode laser absorption measurements performed simultaneously in two resistively heated hot-pipes. One hot-pipe contained Pb vapor and noble gas (Ar or He) at low pressure, while the other was filled with Pb and noble gas at variable pressure. The measurements were performed at temperatures of 1220 K and 1290 K, i.e., lead number densities of 4.8 × 1015 cm− 3 and 1.2 × 1016 cm− 3. The broadening rates were obtained by fitting the experimental collisionally broadened absorption line shapes to theoretical Voigt profiles. The shift rates were determined by measuring the difference between the peak absorption positions in the spectra measured simultaneously in the heat pipe filled with noble gas at reference pressure and the one with noble gas at variable pressure. The following data for the broadening and shift rate coefficients due to collisions with Ar and He were obtained: γBAr = (3.4 ± 0.1) × 10− 10 cm3 s− 1, γBHe = (3.8 ± 0.1) × 10− 10 cm3 s− 1, γSAr = (− 7.3 ± 0.8) × 10− 11 cm3 s− 1, γSHe = (− 6.5 ± 0.7) × 10− 11 cm3 s− 1.  相似文献

Single crystals of aluminum diboride (space group P6/mmm, No. 191) a=3.0050(1) Å, c=3.2537 (8)  Å; Z=1) were prepared by the aluminum flux method. Crystal structure refinement shows defects at the aluminum site and resulted in composition Al0.894(9)B2≈Al0.9B2. The defect structure model is confirmed by the measured mass density ρexp=2.9(1) g/cm3 in comparison with a calculated value ρx=3.17 g/cm3 for full occupancy of the aluminum position. The results of 11B NMR measurements support the defect model and are in agreement with the structure obtained by X-ray diffraction methods. Electrical resistivity measured on a single crystal parallel to its hexagonal basal plane with ρ(300 K)−ρ(2 K)=2.35 μΩ cm shows temperature dependence like a typical metal. Charge is dominantly carried by holes (Hall-coefficient R=+2×10−11 m/C). Respective, p-type conductivity is confirmed by theoretical calculations. Chemical bonding in aluminum diboride is discussed using the electron localization function.  相似文献

The influence of titanium oxide on the surface interactions of MO (M=Cu and Ni)/γ-Al2O3 catalysts has been studied by using XRD, LRS and XPS. For the catalysts with titania loadings lower than 0.56 mmol Ti4+/100 m2 Al2O3 (i.e., the dispersion capacity), the dispersion of MO oxides on the surface of γ-Al2O3 support is significantly suppressed by the dispersed Ti4+ ions. The inhibiting effect is dependent on the properties of MO oxides. When titania loadings are considerably higher than the dispersion capacity, MO oxides exhibit a rather stronger interaction with the formed TiO2 particles than the γ-Al2O3 support, and some of the dispersed M2+ ions might be accommodated by the vacant sites on TiO2. Therefore, the catalysts can be considered as the compositions of MO/TiO2 and MO/TiO2/γ-Al2O3 (dispersed titania). TPR results show that either dispersed titania or formed TiO2 particles can promote the reduction of copper oxide species, but the latter to a greater extent. Based on the consideration of the incorporation model, it is proposed that the surface structure of the support plays an important role in surface interactions.  相似文献

Heat capacity and enthalpy increments of ternary bismuth tantalum oxides Bi4Ta2O11, Bi7Ta3O18 and Bi3TaO7 were measured by the relaxation time method (2-280 K), DSC (265-353 K) and drop calorimetry (622-1322 K). Temperature dependencies of the molar heat capacity in the form Cpm=445.8+0.005451T−7.489×106/T2 J K−1 mol−1, Cpm=699.0+0.05276T−9.956×106/T2 J K−1 mol−1 and Cpm=251.6+0.06705T−3.237×106/T2 J K−1 mol−1 for Bi3TaO7, Bi4Ta2O11 and for Bi7Ta3O18, respectively, were derived by the least-squares method from the experimental data. The molar entropies at 298.15 K, S°m(298.15 K)=449.6±2.3 J K−1 mol−1 for Bi4Ta2O11, S°m(298.15 K)=743.0±3.8 J K−1 mol−1 for Bi7Ta3O18 and S°m(298.15 K)=304.3±1.6 J K−1 mol−1 for Bi3TaO7, were evaluated from the low-temperature heat capacity measurements.  相似文献

Specific heat capacities (Cp) of polycrystalline samples of BaCeO3 and BaZrO3 have been measured from about 1.6 K up to room temperature by means of adiabatic calorimetry. We provide corrected experimental data for the heat capacity of BaCeO3 in the range T < 10 K and, for the first time, contribute experimental data below 53 K for BaZrO3. Applying Debye's T3-law for T → 0 K, thermodynamic functions as molar entropy and enthalpy are derived by integration. We obtain Cp = 114.8 (±1.0) J mol−1 K−1, S° = 145.8 (±0.7) J mol−1 K−1 for BaCeO3 and Cp = 107.0 (±1.0) J mol−1 K−1, S° = 125.5 (±0.6) J mol−1 K−1 for BaZrO3 at 298.15 K. These results are in overall agreement with previously reported studies but slightly deviating, in both cases. Evaluations of Cp(T) yield Debye temperatures and identify deviations from the simple Debye-theory due to extra vibrational modes as well as anharmonicity. The anharmonicity turns out to be more pronounced at elevated temperatures for BaCeO3. The characteristic Debye temperatures determined at T = 0 K are Θ0 = 365 (±6) K for BaCeO3 and Θ0 = 402 (±9) K for BaZrO3.  相似文献

Natural dolomite powders obtained from caves which give unusual high resistance building materials, have been decomposed in a Knudsen cell at high CO2 pressures in the temperature range of 913-973 K. XRD traces for the final solid products, after the first half thermal decomposition, have shown, that beside the XRD patterns for the calcite and MgO, the existence of a new structure with major peaks at 2θ equal to 38.5 and 65°. This finding has been ascribed to a solid solution of MgO in calcite. The kinetic analysis of the TG curves yield a total apparent enthalpy (ΔH) for the decomposition equal to 440±10 kJ mol−1 for a range of fraction decomposed (α) varying between 0.2 and 0.7. This value is much closer to the theoretical expected at 950 K value ΔH=486 kJ mol−1 for the dolomite decomposition in CO2 environment, where CaO, MgO and oxides of solid solution can be the solid reaction products. The rate determining step is the transport of CO2 across the reacting interface through an high activated thermal process due to solid state diffusion of CO32− in the bulk and/or the grain boundaries phases of CaCO3 and/or of the solid solution. The microstructure evolution of the solid products follows a shear-transformation mechanism. At temperatures below 943 K, porous product particles are characterized by a monomodal narrow pore size distribution around 0.05 μm. At higher temperatures, a critical level of tensions inside the particles is reached and a bimodal pore size distribution around 1 and 0.05 μm is formed.  相似文献

The heat capacity of LuPO4 was measured in the temperature range 6.51-318.03 K. Smoothed experimental values of the heat capacity were used to calculate the entropy, enthalpy and Gibbs free energy from 0 to 320 K. Under standard conditions these thermodynamic values are: (298.15 K) = 100.0 ± 0.1 J K−1 mol−1, S0(298.15 K) = 99.74 ± 0.32 J K−1 mol−1, H0(298.15 K) − H0(0) = 16.43 ± 0.02 kJ mol−1, −[G0(298.15 K) − H0(0)]/T = 44.62 ± 0.33 J K−1 mol−1. The standard Gibbs free energy of formation of LuPO4 from elements ΔfG0(298.15 K) = −1835.4 ± 4.2 kJ mol−1 was calculated based on obtained and literature data.  相似文献

The germanate compound Cu2Sc2Ge4O13 has been synthesized by solid-state ceramic sintering techniques between 1173 and 1423 K. The structure was solved from single-crystal data by Patterson methods. The title compound is monoclinic, a=12.336(2) Å, b=8.7034(9) Å, c=4.8883(8) Å, β=95.74(2), space group P21/m, Z=4. The compound is isotypic with Cu2Fe2Ge4O13, described very recently. The structure consists of crankshaft-like chains of edge-sharing ScO6 octahedra running parallel to the crystallographic b-axis. These chains are linked laterally by [Cu2O6]8− dimers forming a sheet of metal-oxygen-polyhedra within the a-b plane. These sheets are separated along the c-axis by [Ge4O13]10− units. Cooling to 100 K does not alter the crystallographic symmetry of Cu2Sc2Ge4O13. While the b, c lattice parameter and the unit cell volume show a positive linear thermal expansion (α=6.4(2)×10−6, 5.0(2)×10−6 and 8.3(2)×10−6 K−1 respectively), the a lattice parameter exhibits a negative thermal expansion (α=−3.0(2)×10−6 K−1) for the complete T-range investigated. This negative thermal expansion of a is mainly due to the increase of the Cu-Cu interatomic distance, which is along the a-axis. Average bond lengths remain almost constant between 100 and 298 K, whereas individual ones partly show both significant shortages and lengthening.  相似文献

Oriented films of cellulose prepared from algal cellulose were hydrothermally treated to convert them into highly crystalline cellulose Iβ. The lateral thermal expansion behavior of the prepared cellulose Iβ films was investigated using X-ray diffraction at temperatures from 20 to 300 °C. Cellulose Iβ was transformed into the high-temperature phase when the temperature was above 230 °C, allowing the lateral thermal expansion coefficient of cellulose Iβ and its high-temperature phase to be measured. For cellulose Iβ, the thermal expansion coefficients (TECs) of the a- and b-axes were αa = 9.8 × 10−5 °C−1 and αb = 1.2 × 10−5 °C−1, respectively. This anisotropic thermal expansion behavior in the lateral direction is ascribed to the crystal structure and to the hydrogen-bonding system of cellulose Iβ. For the high-temperature phase, the anisotropy was more conspicuous, and the TECs of the a- and b-axes were αa = 19.8 × 10−5 °C−1 and αb = −1.6 × 10−5 °C−1, respectively. Synchrotron X-ray fiber diffraction diagrams of the high-temperature phase were also recorded at 250 °C. The cellulose high-temperature phase is composed of a two-chain monoclinic unit cell, a = 0.819 nm, b = 0.818 nm, c (fiber repeat) = 1.037 nm, and γ = 96.4°, with space group = P21. The volume of this cell is 4.6% larger than that of cellulose Iβ at 30 °C.  相似文献

A natural smectite clay sample from Serra de Maicuru, Pará State, Brazil, had aluminum and zirconium polyoxycations inserted within the interlayer space. The precursor and pillarized smectites were organofunctionalized with the silyating agent 3-mercaptopropyltrimethoxysilane. The basal spacing of 1.47 nm for natural clay increased to 2.58 and 2.63 nm, for pillared aluminum, SAl/SH, and zirconium, SZr/SH, and increases in the surface area from 44 to 583 and 585 m2 g−1, respectively. These chemically immobilized clay samples adsorb divalent copper and cobalt cations from aqueous solutions of pH 5.0 at 298±1 K. The Langmuir, Redlich-Peterson and Toth adsorption isotherm models have been applied to fit the experimental data with a nonlinear approach. From the cation/basic center interactions for each smectite at the solid-liquid interface, by using van’t Hoff methodology, the equilibrium constant and exothermic thermal effects were calculated. By considering the net interactive number of moles for each cation and the equilibrium constant, the enthalpy, ΔintH0 (−9.2±0.2 to −10.2±0.2 kJ mol−1) and negative Gibbs free energy, ΔintG0 (−23.9±0.1 to −28.7±0.1 kJ mol−1) were calculated. These values enabled the positive entropy, ΔintS0 (51.3±0.3 to 55.0±0.3 JK−1 mol−1) determination. The cation-sulfur interactive process is spontaneous in nature, reflecting the favorable enthalpic and entropic results. The kinetics of adsorption demonstrated that the fit is in agreement with a second-order model reaction with rate constant k2, varying from 4.8×10−2 to 15.0×10−2 and 3.9×10−2 to 12.2×10−2 mmol−1 min−1 for copper and cobalt, respectively.  相似文献

χ-, κ- and α-alumina phases formed by dehydration of micro-grained gibbsite between 773 and 1573 K are studied using infrared spectroscopy (IR). The structural transitions evidenced by X-ray diffraction (XRD) were interpreted by comparing IR measurements with ab initio simulations (except for the χ form whose complexity does not allow a reliable simulation). For each phase, IR spectrum presents specific bands corresponding to transverse optical (TO) modes of Al-O stretching and bending under 900 cm−1. The very complex χ phase, obtained at 773 K, provides a distinctive XRD pattern in contrast with the IR absorbance appearing as a broad structure extending between 200 and 900 cm−1 resembling the equivalent spectra for γ-alumina phase. κ-alumina is forming at 1173 K and its rich IR spectrum is in good qualitative agreement with ab initio simulations. This complexity reflects the large number of atoms in the κ-alumina unit cell and the wide range of internuclear distances as well as the various coordinances of both Al and O atoms. Ab initio simulations suggest that this form of transition alumina demonstrates a strong departure from the simple pattern observed for other transition alumina. At 1573 K, the stable α-Αl2Ο3 develops. Its IR spectra extends in a narrower energy range as compared to transition alumina and presents characteristics features similar to model α-Αl2Ο3Ab initio calculations show again a very good general agreement with the observed IR spectra for this phase. In addition, for both κ- and α-Αl2Ο3, extra modes, measured at high energy (above 790 cm−1 for κ and above 650 cm−1 for α), can originate from either remnant χ-alumina or from surface modes.  相似文献

Endo-Tricyclo[5.2.1.02,6]decane (CAS 6004-38-2) is an important intermediate compound for synthesizing diamantane. The lack of data on the thermodynamic properties of the compound limits its development and application. In this study, endo-Tricyclo[5.2.1.02,6]decane was synthesized and the low temperature heat capacities were measured with a high-precision adiabatic calorimeter in the temperature range from (80 to 360) K. Two phase transitions were observed: the solid-solid phase transition in the temperature range from (198.79 to 210.27) K, with peak temperature 204.33 K; the solid-liquid phase transition in the temperature range from 333.76 K to 350.97 K, with peak temperature 345.28 K. The molar enthalpy increments, ΔHm, and entropy increments, ΔSm, of these phase transitions are ΔHm=2.57 kJ · mol−1 and ΔSm=12.57 J · K−1 · mol−1 for the solid-solid phase transition at 204.33 K, and, ΔfusHm=3.07 kJ · mol−1 and ΔfusSm=8.89 J · K−1 · mol−1 for the solid-liquid phase transition at 345.28 K. The thermal stability of the compound was investigated by thermogravimetric analysis. TG result shows that endo-Tricyclo[5.2.1.02,6]decane starts to sublime at 300 K and completely changes into vapor when the temperature reaches 423 K, reaching the maximal rate of weight loss at 408 K.  相似文献

The thermal conductivity and heat capacity of high-purity single crystals of yttrium titanate, Y2Ti2O7, have been determined over the temperature range 2 K?T?300 K. The experimental heat capacity is in very good agreement with an analysis based on three acoustic modes per unit cell (with the Debye characteristic temperature, θD, of ca. 970 K) and an assignment of the remaining 63 optic modes, as well as a correction for CpCv. From the integrated heat capacity data, the enthalpy and entropy relative to absolute zero, are, respectively, H(T=298.15 K)−H0=34.69 kJ mol−1 and S(T=298.15 K)−S0=211.2 J K−1 mol−1. The thermal conductivity shows a peak at ca. θD/50, characteristic of a highly purified crystal in which the phonon mean free path is about 10 μm in the defect/boundary low-temperature limit. The room-temperature thermal conductivity of Y2Ti2O7 is 2.8 W m−1 K−1, close to the calculated theoretical thermal conductivity, κmin, for fully coupled phonons at high temperatures.  相似文献

We have been able to prepare nanoparticles (∼4 nm diameter) of cubic γ-Mo2N by a simple procedure involving the reaction of MoCl5 with urea at 873 K. The nanoparticles show a superconducting transition around 6.5 K. The γ-Mo2N nanoparticles are readily transformed to nanoparticles of δ-MoN with a slightly larger diameter on heating in a NH3 atmosphere at 573 K. Phase-pure δ-MoN obtained by this means shows a superconducting transition around 5 K.  相似文献

A series of N-alkyl-N-methylpyrrolidinium (RMPyr+, where R = E: ethyl, B: butyl, and H: hexyl) and N-butylpyridinium (BPy+) salts based on the fluorocomplex anions, BF4, PF6, SbF6, NbF6, TaF6, and WF7, have been synthesized and their thermal behavior has been investigated. The melting points of the RMPyr+ salts are above room temperature with the trend; BMPyrAF6 < HMPyrAF6 < EMPyrAF6 for the hexafluorocomplex salts. Some of the salts containing BMPyr+ and HMPyr+ exhibit phase transitions in the solid states. Similar melting points of BPy+ salts of PF6, SbF6, NbF6, TaF6, and WF7 are observed at around 350 K. Ionic conductivity and viscosity for BMPyrNbF6 (3.0 mS cm−1 and 164 cP at 328 K) are similar to those for BMPyrTaF6 (3.0 mS cm−1 and 165 cP at 328 K), resulting from the similarity of the anions in size. The activation energies of ionic conductivity for the NbF6 and TaF6 salts are 18 and 20 kJ mol−1, and those for viscosity are 23 and 25 kJ mol−1, respectively calculated by Arrhenius equation in the temperature range between 328 and 348 K. Electrochemical windows of BMPyrNbF6, BMPyrTaF6, and BMPyrWF7 are about 4.0, 5.0 and 3.1 V, respectively.  相似文献

Two new quaternary delafossite type oxides with the general formula Ag(Li1/3M2/3)O2, M=Rh, Ir, have been synthesized, and their structures characterized. Based on X-ray and electron diffraction analyses the structural similarity with AgRhO2 delafossite, has been evidenced. The real structures of the quaternary delafossites have been revealed, which has allowed to fully explain the diffuse scattering as observed in X-ray powder diffraction. AgRhO2 is thermally stable up to 1173 K, the behavior of the two quaternary compounds AgLi1/3Rh2/3O2 and AgLi1/3Ir2/3O2 is comparable, and they decompose above 950 and 800 K, respectively. AgRhO2 shows temperature independent paramagnetism, while for the other two an effective magnetic moment of 1.77μB for Ir, and 1.70μB for Rh were determined, applying the Curie-Weiss law. All compounds are semiconducting with activation energies of 4.97 kJ mol−1 (AgLi1/3Rh2/3O2), 11.42 kJ mol−1 (AgLi1/3Ir2/3O2) and 17.58 kJ mol−1 (AgRhO2).  相似文献

Simple, easy to use and selective method of Al(III) sorption-spectroscopic (SS) determination was proposed. For this purpose, silica modified with tridecyloctadecylammonium chloride(SGII) using adsorption technique and glass slide modified with thin silica-poly(dimethyldiallyl-ammonium chloride) (SGI) composite film obtained by sol-gel technique were worked out. It was shown that lumogallion (LG) easily absorbs on SGI and SGII. Obtained sorbents SGIII and SGIV, respectively, were used for aluminum(III) determination by diffuse reflectance and spectrophotometric methods. The ranges of determination were (mg L−1): (0.08-0.54), sr ≤ 0.13, n = 4 for SGIII and (0.05-2.0), sr ≤ 0.11, n = 4 for SGIV. The detection limits (blank + 3σ) for aluminum were 70 and 30 μg L−1 using SGIII and SGIV, respectively, where σ is the standard deviation of blank estimation. The accuracy of the developed spectrophotometric method was examined by the determination of standard addition of aluminum in alcohol-free beverages. The relative error did not exceed 9%. SGIII can be regenerated by 0.05 M EDTANa2H2 solution and reused. SGIV was shown to be perspective for determination of aluminum in solution in the range of 0.01-0.13 mg L−1 by solid phase luminescent technique.  相似文献
