We give infinitely many examples in which the moduli space of rank 2 H-stable sheaves on a K3 surface S endowed by a polarization H of degree 2g – 2, with Chern classes c1 = H and c2 = g – 1, is birationally equivalent to the Hilbert scheme S[g – 4] of zero dimensional subschemes of S of length g – 4. We get in this way a partial generalization of results from [5] and [1].  相似文献

We give necessary and sufficient conditions for a big and nef line bundle L of any degree on a K3 surface or on an Enriques surface S to be k-very ample and k-spanned. Furthermore, we give necessary and sufficient conditions for a spanned and big line bundle on a K3 surface S to be birationally k-very ample and birationally k-spanned (our definition), and relate these concepts to the Clifford index and gonality of smooth curves in |L| and the existence of a particular type of rank 2 bundles on S. We investigate closed surfaces in Euclidean 3-space satisfying certain functional relations κ = F(λ) between the principal curvatures κ, λ. In particular we find analytic closed surfaces of genus zero where F is a quadratic polynomial or F(λ) = cλ2n+1. This generalizes results by H. Hopf on the case where F is linear and the case of ellipsoids of revolution where F(λ) = cλ3.  相似文献

For Kolmogorovs strong law of large numbers an alternative short proof is given which weakens Etemadis condition of pairwise independence. The argument uses the known – and elementary – equivalence of (Cesàro) C1- and C2-summability for one-sided bounded sequences. Let a,b be given, multiplicatively independent positive integers and let >0. In a recent paper jointly with Y. Bugeaud we proved the upper bound exp(n) for g.c.d.(an–1, bn–1); shortly afterwards we generalized this to the estimate g.c.d.(u–1,v–1)v) for multiplicatively independent S-units u,vZ. In a subsequent analysis of those results it turned out that a perhaps better formulation of them may be obtained in terms of the language of heights of algebraic numbers. In fact, the purposes of the present paper are: to generalize the upper bound for the g.c.d. to pairs of rational functions other than {u–1,v–1} and to extend the results to the realm of algebraic numbers, giving at the same time a new formulation of the bounds in terms of height functions and algebraic subgroups of Gm2.  相似文献

In this work we deal with universal Taylor series in the open unit disk, in the sense of Nestoridis; see [12]. Such series are not (C,k) summable at every boundary point for every k; see [7], [11]. In the opposite direction, using approximation theorems of Arakeljan and Nersesjan we prove that universal Taylor series can be Abel summable at some points of the unit circle; these points can form any closed nowhere dense subset of the unit circle.  相似文献

We construct a family of diffusions P α = {P x} on the d-dimensional Sierpinski carpet F^. The parameter α ranges over d H < α < ∞, where d H = log(3 d − 1)/log 3 is the Hausdorff dimension of the d-dimensional Sierpinski carpet F^. These diffusions P α are reversible with invariant measures μ = μ[α]. Here, μ are Radon measures whose topological supports are equal to F^ and satisfy self-similarity in the sense that μ(3A) = 3α·μ(A) for all A∈ℬ(F^). In addition, the diffusion is self-similar and invariant under local weak translations (cell translations) of the Sierpinski carpet. The transition density p = p(t, x, y) is locally uniformly positive and satisfies a global Gaussian upper bound. In spite of these well-behaved properties, the diffusions are different from Barlow-Bass' Brownian motions on the Sierpinski carpet. For fixed k3, let It is known that the asymptotic formula holds for some constant ck. Let Ek(x)=Rk(x)–ckx2/k. We cannot improve the exponent 1/k at present if we do not have further knowledge about the distribution of the zeros of the Riemann Zeta function (s). In this paper, we shall prove that if the Riemann Hypothesis (RH) is true, then Ek(x)=O(x4/15+), which improves the earlier exponent 5/18 due to Nowak. A mean square estimate of Ek(x) for k6 is also obtained, which implies that Ek(x)=(x1/k–1/k2) for k6 under RH.  相似文献

These relations will form the basis for a martingale characterization of (Bt)t ≥ 0 in terms of generalized heat polynomials. This characterization generalizes a corresponding result for the Brownian motion on in terms of Hermite polynomials due to J. We consider the problem of whether a given hyperbolic surface occurs as the totally geodesic boundary of a compact hyperbolic 3-manifold (as some or as the only boundary component). We discuss some explicit examples of hyperbolic surfaces, in particular the surface associated to the small stellated dodecahedron (one of the four Kepler-Poinsot polyhedra) which is the boundary of a hyperbolic icosahedral 3-manifold.  相似文献
