HIRFL-CSR, a new heavy ion cooler-storage-ring system at IMP, had been in commissioning since the beginning of 2006. In the two years of 2006 and 2007 the CSR commissioning was finished, including the stripping injection (STI), electron-cooling with hollow electron beam, C-beam stacking with the combination of STI and e-cooling, the wide energy-range synchrotron ramping from 7 MeV/u to 1000 MeV/u by changing the RF harmonic-number at mid-energy, the multiple multi-turn injection (MMI), the beam accumulation with MMI and e-cooling for heavy-ion beams of Ar, Kr and Xe, the fast extraction from CSRm and single-turn injection to CSRe, beam stacking in CSRe and the RIBs mass-spectrometer test with the isochronous mode in CSRe by using the time-of-flight method.  相似文献

为HIRFL-CSR团簇内靶设计加工了新的供气系统, 拆换了原有的喷嘴, 对氢气和氩气进行了新的实验, 获得了氢气和氩气的稳定团簇束, 解决了困扰团簇靶稳定运行的喷嘴堵塞问题. 获得的氢团簇束密度为1.75×1013 atoms/cm3, 好于德国GSI内靶对氢束所达到的1×1013atoms/cm3. 研究了团簇束的衰减, 测量了氢束和氩束的有效靶厚, 研究了团簇靶系统对这两种工作气体的长期运行稳定性. 对氢和氩两种工作气体, 各级气压呈现了良好的稳定性, 说明在实验的时间范围内, 团簇靶运行稳定.  相似文献

 主要介绍了兰州重离子加速器冷却储存环CSR控制网的建立及测量分析方法,详细说明了激光跟踪仪转站原理和计算机算法。根据一般大地测量采取的建网原则,首先用全站仪建立了初级控制网,在此基础上加密形成了由168个网点构成的主环控制网;然后运用激光跟踪仪及其配套软件测量了主环控制网,其网点的点位精度可达到0.08 mm。应用2005年3月控制网的测量结果对主环磁铁进行了调节,结果显示四极铁横向就位精度达到0.15 mm, 偏转角精度达到0.3 mrad。  相似文献

Active spot-scanning test with heavy ions at HIRFL-CSR   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
An active spot beam delivery system for heavy ion therapy has been developed based on the Cooling Storage Ring at HIRFL-CSR, where the pencil carbon-ion beams were scanned within a target volume transversely by a pair of orthogonal (horizontal and vertical) dipole magnets to paint the slices of the target volume and longitudinally by active energy variation of the synchrotron slice by slice. The unique techniques such as dose shaping via active energy variation and magnetic deflection constitute a promising three-dimensional conformal even intensity-modulated radiotherapy with heavy ions at HIRFL-CSR. In this paper, the verification of active energy variation and the calibration of steerable beam deflection are shown, as the basic functionality components of the active spot-scanning system. Additionally, based on the capability of creating homogeneous irradiation fields with steerable pencil beams, a radiobiological experiment like cell survival measurement has been performed aiming at comparison of the radiobiological effects under active and passive beam deliveries.  相似文献

This is a status report of the project on befalf of the BEPC Ⅱ team.BEPC Ⅱ is a major upgrade radiation(SR)source with its outer ring,or SR ring.As a collider,BEPC Ⅱ operates in the beam energy region of 1-2.3 GeV with design luminosity of 1×1033 cm-2s-1 at 1.89 GeV.As a light source.the SR ring operates at 2.5 GeV and 250 mA.Construction of the project started in the beginning of 2004.Installation of the storage ring components was completed in October 2007.Commissioning is in progress.There are still many issues for further studies before reach to 3×1032 cm-2s-1.  相似文献

Imaging analysis of two-pion interferometry is performed for an evolving particle-emitting source in heavy ion collisions at HIRFL-CSR energy. The source evolution is described by the relativistic hydrodynamics in (2+1) dimensions. The model-independent characteristic quantities of the source are investigated and compared with the interferometry results obtained by the usual Gaussian formula fit. It is found that the first- order source function moments can describe the source sizes. The ratio of the normalized standard deviation σ to the first-order moment R, σ/R, is sensitive to the shape of the source function.  相似文献

丰中子重核区有大量原子核质量未知,迫切需要实验测量。我们建议,利用兰州重离子加速器研究装置HIRFL-CSR上的等时性质谱术,高精度测量204Pt等丰中子重核的质量。CSR质量测量实验中,在目标核产额尽可能高的前提下,需要每次注入都有多个离子同时储存到实验环CSRe中,才能针对逐次注入修正磁场晃动的影响,得到高精度测量结果。但在丰中子核区,当目标核产生截面非常低时,每次注入能储存到环中的离子数目太少。为了解决这个问题,我们提出了一种"混合厚度靶"的方法,在不明显改变目标核产额的情况下,显著增加同时储存在CSRe中的离子数,满足实验要求。模拟计算表明,在CSRe测量丰中子重核质量是可行的,并推荐了实验的设置。  相似文献

A new mode is designed with an emittance of 2.47 nm-rad at 3.0 GeV beam energy, lower than the nominal mode of the Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility (SSRF) storage ring. Details of the linear optics design and the nonlinear optimization are presented in this paper. During Phase I commissioning of the storage ring we tested the new optics mode and some expected results were obtained. After restoring the linear optics by means of the linear optics with closed orbit technique, the main parameters of the real machine agree well with the designed values and the injection efficiency and beam lifetime are acceptable.  相似文献

The charge stripping injection method has been adopted for the accumulation of light heavy ions in HIRFL-CSR. This method has some special requirements for the accelerating particles, and at the same time the structure of the injection orbit has to be changed. In this paper, the design of the orbit has been presented, as well as the calculation of the beam line matching. According to the result of commissioning, stripping injection can accumulate the beam to a higher current.  相似文献

在兰州重离子加速器冷却储存环(HIRFL-CSR)的外靶终端(ETF),设计建造了一套多层CsI(Tl)望远镜探测器,用于对轻质量带电粒子的鉴别。这套探测器由7层CsI(Tl)晶体组成,每一层晶体光输出信号由4个光电倍增管分别在晶体4角读出。由于CsI(Tl)晶体对于重离子的响应是非线性的,且与入射离子的种类有关,这些因素使得对这台探测器的能量刻度需要做专门的研究。利用RIBLL2提供的能量在200 s~300 MeV/u的次级束流对探测器进行了测试,并针对第一片CsI(Tl)晶体的光输出以及所有CsI(Tl)晶体光输出的和的刻度方法分别进行了探索。在此能区下,第一片CsI(Tl)晶体猝灭现象可以近似忽略,即光输出与能量沉积近似呈线性。对于所有晶体光输出的和,利用一个经验公式对其进行刻度,利用这种刻度方法计算得到的光输出的值与实验测量值之间的差别小于5%。A multi-layer CsI(Tl) telescope has been designed and constructed at External Target in Facility (ETF) terminal of the Cooling Storage Ring of Heavy Ion Research Facility in Lanzhou(HIRFL-CSR), and is used for identifying light charged particles. The detector consists of seven layers of CsI(Tl) crystals, and the signals of each crystal are read out by four photomultipliers at the corners. Since the response of the CsI(Tl) crystal to the heavy ions is non-linear and also depends on the species of the incident ions, the energy calibration method of the telescope must be carefully studied. With the help of the secondary beams selected by RIBLL2 in the energy ranges from 200 to 300 MeV/u, the telescope has been tested and the energy calibration method for the first-layer crystal together with the whole telescope has been investigated. In this energy region, the quench effect in the first-layer crystal can be neglected and a linear expression can be used to represent the relation between the light output and the energy deposition in the crystal. To the total light output of the telescope, an empirical formula is used for the energy calibration. The difference between the calculated results and the experiment data is globally less than 5%.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

The ion sources for accelerators devoted to medical applications must provide intense ion beams, with high reproducibility, stability and brightness. AISHa (Advanced Ion Source for Hadron therapy) is a compact ECRIS whose hybrid magnetic system consists of a permanent Halbach-type hexapole magnet and a set of independently energized superconducting coils. These coils will be enclosed in a compact cryostat with two cryocoolers for LHe-free operation. The AISHa ion source has been designed by taking into account the typical requirements of hospital-based facilities, where the minimization of the mean time between failures (MTBF) is a key point together with the maintenance operations which should be fast and easy. It is a multipurpose device, operating at 18?GHz, in order to achieve higher plasma densities able to provide enough versatility for future needs of the hadron therapy, including the ability to run at larger microwave power to produce different species and highly charged ion beams. In this paper, the innovative solutions, used for the plasma containment chamber and for the permanent magnet hexapole holder, are presented to solve the insulation and structural issues. The choice of the different materials used is hereinafter discussed together with all the involved processes (spinning, curing and machining). The glass fibers and carbon fibers are used to reinforce polymer matrices and give rise to structural composites and composites by molding. The paper shows also some results of ion source commissioning along with next developments. Innovative active coupling techniques are planned to be tested to optimize the first pass wave absorption, which plays an important role in the coupling optimization of the new-generation ECRIS.  相似文献

内靶装置是兰州重离子冷却储存环(HIRFL-CSR)实验环的一个重要的插入件,也是世界上第一个嵌入在重离子储存环中的内靶装置,它位于HIRFL-CSR实验环的一个直线段.团簇内靶具有传统外靶所不具备的一些优点,如高亮度、高精度和高灵敏度等.这些优点可使我们在内靶实验平台上进行一些高精度的物理实验.为满足不同物理实验的需求,内靶可以有两种工作模式:非极化靶运行模式和极化靶运行模式,用于为实验环内的物理实验提供厚度为1011~1013atoms/cm2的非极化靶和极化靶.团簇靶是属于非极化靶运行模式,它采用超声喷气和冷凝相结合的方法获得团簇粒子束,并在碰撞靶室中与环内束流相碰撞,未反应的团簇束被收集级抽走.团簇内靶可以提供靶密度约为2×1013atoms/cm2的Ne、Ar、Kr、Xe和N2、CH4等团簇束.目前已完成了团簇靶的现场安装和准直,并进行了真空达标、喷嘴冷却和稳定性等首批测试实验.本文主要介绍团簇靶的工作原理和首批测试实验结果.  相似文献

兰州重离子冷却环CSR是兰州重离子加速器研究装置HRRFL的一项升级工程, 是一个双冷却储存环系统,由主环CSRm和实验环CSRe构成. 从HIRFL回旋加速器系统来的重离子束, 首先注入到主环CSRm中进行累积冷却, 然后加速到较高的能量引出打初级靶产生放射线次级束RIBs或高离化重离子束, 这些次级束再被送到验环CSRe储存起来以开展内靶实验.  相似文献

Nucleus-nucleus collisions at RHIC produce high temperature and high energy density matter which exhibits paxtonic degrees of freedom. We will discuss measurements of nuclear modification factors for light hadrons and non-photonic electrons from heavy quark decays, which reflect the flavor dependence of energy loss of high momentum partons traversing the dense QCD medium. The dense QCD medium responds to energy loss of high momentum patrons in a pattern consistent with that expected from a hydrodynamic fluid. The hadronization of bulk partonic matter exhibits collectivity with effective partonic degrees of freedom. Nuclear collisions at RHIC provide an intriguing environment, where many constituent quark ingredients are readily available for possible formation of exotic particles through quark coalescence or recombinations.  相似文献
