A maximum principle for the open-loop optimal control of a vibrating system relative to a given convex index of performance is investigated. Though maximum principles have been studied by many people (see, e.g., Refs. 1–5), the principle derived in this paper is of particular use for control problems involving mechanical structures. The state variable satisfies general initial conditions as well as a self-adjoint system of partial differential equations together with a homogeneous system of boundary conditions. The mass matrix is diagonal, constant, and singular, and the viscous damping matrix is diagonal. The maximum principle relates the optimal control with the solution of the homogeneous adjoint equation in which terminal conditions are prescribed in terms of the terminal values of the optimal state variable. An application of this theory to a structural vibrating system is given in a companion paper (Ref. 6).  相似文献

The optimal control problem with state constraints is examined. An alternative to the available approaches to the study of this problem is proposed. The maximum principle and second-order necessary conditions are proved.  相似文献

A nonlinear optimal impulsive control problem with trajectories of bounded variation subject to intermediate state constraints at a finite number on nonfixed instants of time is considered. Features of this problem are discussed from the viewpoint of the extension of the classical optimal control problem with the corresponding state constraints. A necessary optimality condition is formulated in the form of a smooth maximum principle; thorough comments are given, a short proof is presented, and examples are discussed.  相似文献

A maximum principle for optimal control problems with mixed constraints   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Necessary conditions in the form of maximum principles are derivedfor optimal control problems with mixed control and state constraints.Traditionally, necessary condtions for problems with mixed constraintshave been proved under hypothesis which include the requirementthat the Jacobian of the mixed constraint functional, with respectto the control variable, have full rank. We show that it canbe replaced by a weaker ‘interiority’ hypothesis. This refinement broadens the scope of the optimality conditions,to cover some optimal control problems involving differentialalgebraic constraints, with index greater than unity.  相似文献

The aim of this work is to obtain the existence of optimal solution and maximum principle for optimal control problem with pointwise type state constraint governed by semilinear parabolic systems with certain polynomial-like nonlinearity. Application to optimal control problems of the phase transition system is given.  相似文献

Consideration is given to continuous-time, parameter-dependent optimal control problems with state-variable jump discontinuities atN variable interior times. A maximum principle involving known costate jump conditions is stated and is proved by transforming the problem into a standard Mayer control problem. An illustrative example for fisheries management is included. This work was partially supported by a grant from Control Data. The authors are grateful to Professor T. L. A control system described by a nonlinear equation of parabolic type is considered in the situation where there may be no global solution. A particular optimal control problem subject to state constraints is studied. A proof of the existence of an optimal control is presented. The penalty method is used to obtain necessary conditions for optimal control. A proof of the convergence of this method is given. The successive approximation method is used to obtain an approximate solution for the conditions derived. Translated fromMatematicheskie Zametki, Vol. 60, No. 4, pp. 511–518, October, 1996.  相似文献

In the present work, optimal control problems with mixed constraints are investigated. A novel weakening of the conventional regularity assumptions on mixed constraints is introduced. A maximum principle is derived in which the maximum condition is of nonstandard type: the maximum is taken over the closure of the set of regular points, but not over the whole feasible set.  相似文献

This paper presents a method for discrete-time control and estimation of flexible structures in the presence of actuator and sensor noise. The approach consists of complete decoupling of the modal equations and estimator dynamics based on the independent modal-space control technique and modal spatial filtering of the system output. The solution for the Kalman filter gains reduces to that of independent second-order modal estimators, thus permitting real-time digital control of distributed-parameter systems in a noisy environment. The method can be used to control and estimate any number of modes without computational restraints and is theoretically free of observation spillover. Two examples, the first using nonlinear, quantized control and the second using linear, state feedback control are presented. This work was supported by the National Science Foundation, Grant No. PFR-80-20623.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to deal with optimal control problems of semilinear hyperbolic equations with pointwise state constraints and mixed control‐state constraints. We obtain necessary optimality conditions in the form of a Pontryagin's minimum principle. Our approach is based on modern methods of variational analysis. This paper is concerned with necessary conditions for a general optimal control problem developed by Russak and Tan. It is shown that, in most cases, a further relation between the multipliers holds. This result is of interest in particular for the investigation of perturbations of the state constraint.  相似文献

The sufficient optimality conditions of Zeidan for optimal control problems (Refs. 1 and 2) are generalized such that they are applicable to problems with pure state-variable inequality constraints. We derive conditions which neither assume the concavity of the Hamiltonian nor the quasiconcavity of the constraints. Global as well as local optimality conditions are presented.  相似文献

Necessary conditions are derived for optimal control problems subject to isoperimetric constraints and for optimal control problems with inequality constraints at the terminal time. The conditions are derived by transforming the problem into the standard form of optimal control problems and then using Pontryagin's principle.  相似文献

In this paper state constrained optimal control problems governed by parabolic evolution equations are studied. Our purpose is to obtain a (first-order) decoupled optimality system (that ensures the Lagrange multipliers existence). In a first step we are led to Slater-like assumptions and we are then allowed to extend the application field of the decoupled system we obtain. With a weaker assumption the existence of Lagrange multipliers (that are measures) for nonqualified problems may be established.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the linear-quadratic control problem (LQCP) for systems defined by evolution operators with an inequality constraint on the state. It is shown that, under suitable assumptions, the optimal control exists, is unique, and has a closedloop structure. The synthesis of the feedback control requires one to solve two Riccati integral equations.  相似文献

This paper considers optimal control problems involving the minimization of a functional subject to differential constraints, terminal constraints, and a state inequality constraint. The state inequality constraint is of a special type, namely, it is linear in some or all of the components of the state vector.A transformation technique is introduced, by means of which the inequality-constrained problem is converted into an equality-constrained problem involving differential constraints, terminal constraints, and a control equality constraint. The transformation technique takes advantage of the partial linearity of the state inequality constraint so as to yield a transformed problem characterized by a new state vector of minimal size. This concept is important computationally, in that the computer time per iteration increases with the square of the dimension of the state vector. In order to illustrate the advantages of the new transformation technique, several numerical examples are solved by means of the sequential gradient-restoration algorithm for optimal control problems involving nondifferential constraints. The examples show the substantial savings in computer time for convergence, which are associated with the new transformation technique. This research was supported by the Office of Scientific Research, Office of Aerospace Research, United States Air Force, Grant No. AF-AFOSR-76-3075, and by the National Science Foundation, Grant No. MCS-76-21657.  相似文献

Schmitendorf's formulation of the terminal conditions is shown to be a special case of Hestenes' formulation, despite his claim to the contrary. Imaginative use of Hestenes' control parameters enables the application of Hestenes' theorem to a wide variety of problems. Schmitendorf's rank condition on the terminal constraints can be dispensed with. The authors acknowledge with thanks comments by N. Vousden and W. Schmitendorf.  相似文献

A method of region analysis is developed for solving a class of optimal control problems with one state and one control variable, including state and control constraints. The performance index is strictly convex with respect to the control variable, while this variable appears only linearly in the state equation. The convexity or linearity assumption of the performance index or the state equation with respect to the state variable is not required. The author would like to express his sincere gratitude to Prof. R.
