Summary Binuclear metal complexes of the type [M(HDDB)-(H2O)2]2: where HDDB=1-hydroxy-2,3-dimethyl-4-(3-methyl-4-amino-5-mercapto-1, 2, 4-triazole)-1,4-diaza-1, 3-butadiene and M=manganese(II), cobalt(II), nickel(II) and copper(II), have been prepared and characterised by elemental and thermal analyses, magnetic measurements, electronic and i.r. spectra. Octahedral geometry around the metal(II) ions is proposed and the crystal field parameters of the cobalt(II) and nickel(II) complexes are also calculated. Fungicidal screening of the complexes has been made aginstHelminthosporium oryzae andFusarium oxysporium.  相似文献

Summary Cobalt(II), nickel(II) and copper(II) complexes of 3, 5-dimethyl-1-(4, 6-dimethyl-2-pyrimidyl)pyrazole (DPymPz) have been synthesized and characterized. Magnetic and electronic spectral features show that both [M(DPymPz)2X2nH2O [M=cobalt(II) or nickel(II), X=Cl, Br, I, SCN, NO3, ClO4 or BF4 andn=0 or 2] and [Cu(DPymPz)X2(H2O)2] (X=Cl, Br or SCN) are essentially octahedral species. The i.r. spectra indicate that DPymPz is a neutral bidentate ligand being the pyrazolyl and one pyrimidyl ring nitrogen. The X is bonded to the central metal ion in a majority of the complexes.Part 5: N. Saha and D. Mukherjee,Polyhedron,5, 1317 (1986).  相似文献

Summary Nickel(II), palladium(II), cobalt(II) and copper(II) complexes of the ligandN,N-1,2-propane-bis(methyl 2-amino-cyclopent-1-ene-dithiocarboxylate) (H2L1),N,N-1,3-propane-bis(methyl 2-aminocyclopent-1-ene-dithiocarboxylate) (H2L2) andN,N-[bis(methyl 2-aminocyclopent-1-ene-dithiocarboxylate)] diethylenetriamine (H2L3) have been synthesised. Both H2L1 and H2L2 form complexes of the type ML, and all but the copper(II) complexes, are square planar. In the copper(II) complexes tetrahedral distortion is significantly more with CuL2. From H2L3 square planar complexes of the type [M(HL3)X] (M=Ni, X=Cl, Br, I or SCN; M=Pd, X=Cl or Br) have been obtained in which the donor unit involved is N2SX. The composition of the cobalt(II) and copper(II) complexes is [M(H2L3)X2] (X=Cl or Br) which contain the chromophore [MN3X2].  相似文献

Summary Acetylacetone bis-benzoylhydrazone (PhCONHN=CMe)2 CH2(LH2) and acetylacetone bis-isonicotinoylhydrazone (NC5H4CONHN=CMe)2CH2(LH2) complexes of the types [ML] and [ML] (M = CoII, NiII, CuII or ZnII) have been prepared and characterized. All the complexes are non-electrolytes and the cobalt(II) complexes are lowspin, the nickel(II) complexes are diamagnetic and the copper(II) complexes are paramagnetic. The ligands chelate via two C=N groups and two deprotonated enolate groups. The e.s.r. spectra of the copper(II) complexes indicate a tetragonally distorted dimeric structure. The X-ray diffraction parameters for [CoL] and [NiL] correspond to a tetragonal crystal lattice.  相似文献

Summary Complexes of nickel(II), palladium(II), copper(II), cobalt(II), and cobalt(III) with methyl-2-(-salicylaldiminoethyl)-cyclopent-1-en-dithiocarboxylate (H2L1) and methyl-2-(-salicylaldiminoisopropyl)cyclopent-1-en-dithiocarboxylate (H2L2) have been prepared. They contain the donor sites ONNS. The metal(II) ions from neutral, monomeric square planar chelate complexes. The cobalt(III) complexes [CoL1-(H2O)2]X (X=Cl or ClO4) appear to betrans-diaqua-species. All compounds have been characterized by a number of physico-chemical methods.  相似文献

Summary The synthesis, characterization and voltammetric and magnetic behaviour of a series of dinuclear complexes -(2,5-DPP)[M(hfacac)2]2, in which hfacac is hexafluoro-acetylacetonate, 2,5-DPP is 2,5-bis(2-pyridyl)pyrazine and M = copper(II), nickel(II) and cobalt(II), are described. As with the dinuclear complexes derived from 2,3-bis(2-pyridyl)-pyrazine (2,3-DPP) and analogous ligands, magnetic measurements show that these systems are not coupled. On the basis of magnetic data, we propose that, in contrast to related ligands such as 2,2-bipyridyl, the coordinated 2,5-DPP cannot be planar.  相似文献

Summary During interaction of ethanol-triethyl orthoformate solutions of nicotinic or isonicotinic acidN-oxides (LH and LH, respectively) with MCl2 (M = Mn, Co, Ni), only one true adduct, of the Ni(LH)3Cl2 · 2 H2O type was obtained. In all other cases, partial substitution of Cl ions with the corresponding pyridinecarboxylateN-oxide anionic ligands (L or L) occurred. As a result, mixed ligands (LH-L or LH-L) were precipitated, as follows: Mn(LH)2LCl, Co(LH)LCl, Mn(LH)LCl · 4H2O, Co(LH)LCl · H2O and Ni2(LH)LCl3 · 6 H2O. The insolubility of the new complexes in all common solvents, combined with the pronounced tendency of the 3- and 4-pyridinecarboxylates and theirN-oxides to function as bidentate bridging ligands, favours bi- or polynuclear structures. Spectral data suggest that Ni(LH)3Cl2 · 2 H2O is hexacoordinate, and the rest of the new complexes pentacoordinate. Bi- or polynuclear structures, involving double -M-(L)2-M- or-M-(LH)2-M- and single -M-(L)-M- or-M(L)-M-(LH)-M- bridges, were proposed on the basis of the overall evidence; additional features of the proposed structural types are: exclusively coordinated chloro ligands, in all cases; aqua ligands [Co(LH)LCl · H2O]; lattice water [Ni(LH)2Cl2 · 2H2O]; both lattice and coordinated H2O [Mn(LH)LCl · 4H2O, and Ni2(LH)LCl3 · 6H2O]; and, with the exception of Ni2(LH)LCl3 · 6 H2O, terminal, unidentate, N-O oxygen-bonded LH or LH ligands.Abstracted in part from the Ph.D. Thesis (in preparation) of L. Summary Studies on the chelates of cobalt(II) with the bidentate ligands 1,4-diphenyl(2,3-dimethyl-1,4-diazabutadiene) (PMB) and 1,4-di(p-methoxyphenyl)-2,3-dimethyl-1,4-diazabutadiene (MPMB) have been carried out. On the basis of elemental analyses, the complexes are [Co(PMB)Cl2], [Co(PMB)2(C1O4)2], [Co(MPMB)Cl2] and [Co(MPMB)2(ClO4)2].Both ligands are bidentatevia nitrogen atoms in all the complexes. The magnetic susceptibility and i.r. and u.v.-visible spectra are reported and discussed. The chloro-compounds involving two chlorine ligands and, in the perchlorate compounds, the ClO 4 groups are bound to the cobalt(II) centre.  相似文献

Summary Reactions of 4, 6-diamine-1, 2-dihydro-2-thiopyrimidine (HDATP) with cobalt(II), nickel(II) and copper(II) ions in 12 metal:ligand ratio in aqueous media at 25°C and 0.1 M ionic strength (KNO3), lead to the formation of both [M(DATP)]+ and [M(DATP)2] species, whose stability constants were obtained. On the other hand, in aqueous or ethanolic media, solid complexes with 11, 12, or 13 stoichiometries were isolated. These have been characterized by analytical, i.r. and electronic spectral and magnetic measurement studies, and tentative structures are proposed.  相似文献

Summary The pentadentate macrocycle 1,4,7,10,13-penta-azacyclo-hexadecane [16]aneN5=(3)=L} has been prepared and a variety of copper(II), nickel(II) and cobalt(III) complexes of the ligand characterised. The copper complex [CuL](ClO4)2, on the basis of its d-d spectrum, appears to be square pyramidal, while [NiL(H2O)](ClO4)2 is octahedral. The copper(II) and nickel(II) complexes dissociate readily in acidic solution and these reactions have been studied kinetically. For the copper(II) complex, rate=kH[complex][H+]2 with kH =4.8 dm6 mol–2s–1 at 25 °C and I=1.0 mol dm–3 (NaClO4) with H=43 kJ mol–1 and S 298 =–89 JK–1 mol–1. Dissociation rates of the copper(II) complexes increase with ring size in the order: [15]aneN5 < [16]aneN5 < [17]aneN5. For the dissociation of the nickel(II) complex, rate=kH[Complex][H+] with kH=9.4×10–3 dm3mol–1 s–1 at 25 °C and I =1.0 mol dm–3 (NaClO4) with H=71 kJ mol–1 and S 298 =–47 JK–1mol–1.The cobalt(III) complexes, [CoLCl](ClO4)2, [CoL(H2O)]-(ClO4)3, [CoL(NO2)](ClO4)2, [CoL(DMF)](ClO4)3 (DMF=dimethylformamide) and [CoL(O2CH)](ClO4)2 have been characterised. The chloropentamine [CoCl([16]aneN5)]2+ undergoes rapid base hydrolysis with kOH=1.1× 105dm3 mol–1s–1 at 25°C and I=0.1 mol dm–3 (H=73 kJ mol–1 and S 298 =98 JK–1 mol–1). Rapid base hydrolysis of [CoL(NO2)]2+ is also observed and the origins of these effects are considered in detail.  相似文献

Summary Preparation of cobalt(II) halide complexes with neutral bidentate ligands, including 2-pyridyl alkyl ketones, is reported. 2-Pyridyl alkyl ketones act as monodentate or bidentate ligands depending on the reaction solvent used. Tetrahedral complexes are isolated for all potential -donating neutral ligands.trans-Octahedral complexes are formed only if the neutral ligands are strong -donors and -acceptors. The stereochemistry of cobalt(II) halide complexes is discussed in relation to the nature of the neutral ligands.  相似文献

The synthesis of benzidine diacetyloxime (H2L) and its cobalt(II), nickel(II) and copper(II) complexes is described. The complexes were characterized by elemental analyses, molar conductivities, magnetic moments, i.r., u.v.–vis. spectra, t.g.a. and e.s.r. measurements. I.r. spectra show that H2L behaves as a neutral or dinegative ligand depending on the nature of the metal salts. The molar conductances of the complexes in DMF are commensurate with their non-ionic character. The e.s.r. spectrum of the solid copper(II) complex (7) at room temperature shows broad signal, indicating spin-exchange interactions between copper(II) ions. However, in TMHF solution at 77 K, it shows an axial type ground state with mixed ionic-covalent bond character.  相似文献

A new series of hexacoordinate cobalt(II), nickel(II) and copper(II) complexes of 5-(2-carboxyphenylazo)-2-thiohydantoin HL having formulae [LM(OAc)(H2O)2] · nH2O (M = CoII, CuII and NiII), [LMCl(H2O)2] · nH2O (M = CoII and NiII), [LCuCl(H2O)]2 · 2H2O, [LCu(H2O)3](ClO4) and [LCu(HSO4)(H2O)2] were isolated and characterized by elemental analyses, molar conductivities and magnetic susceptibilities, and by i.r., electronic and e.s.r. spectral measurements, as well as by thermal (t.g. and d.t.g.) analyses. The i.r. spectra indicate that the ligand HL behaves as a monobasic tridentate towards the three divalent metal ions via an azo-N, carboxylate-O and thiohydantoin-O atom. The magnetic moments and electronic spectral data suggest an octahedral geometry for CoII complexes, distorted octahedral geometry for both NiII and CuII complexes with a dimeric structure for [LCuCl(H2O)]2 · 2H2O through bridged chloro ligands. The X-band e.s.r. spectra reveal an axial symmetry for the copper(II) complexes with unsymmetrical Ms = ± 1 signal and G-parameter less than four for the dimeric [LCuCl(H2O)]2 · 2H2O. The thermogravimetry (t.g. and d.t.g.) of some complexes were studied; the order and kinetic parameters of their thermal degradation were determined by applying Coats–Redfern method and discussed.  相似文献

Four transition-metal carboxylate-like complexes have been synthesized from the reaction of the tertiary phosphine betaine triphenylphosphoniopropionate, Ph3P+(CH2)2CO 2 , with Co(ClO4)2· 6H2O, Cu(ClO4)2·6H2O, Cu(BF4)2·xH2O, and AgClO4, respectively, and fully characterized by single-crystal X-ray analysis. [CoPh3P(CH2)2CO2 4(H2O)2](ClO4)2·2H2O, 1, space groupP¯ l witha=9.195(2),b=13.000(2),c=18.795(3) Å,=102.52(1),=90.12(1),=109.28(2)° andZ=1; [CuPh3P(CH2)2CO2 4][Cu2 -Ph3P(CH2)2CO2 -O,O 4(H2O)2] (ClO4)6· 4H2O, 2, space groupP2l/c witha=14.225(3),b=24.624(6),c=24.297(5) Å,=94.18(1)°, andZ=2; [CuPh3,P(CH2)2CO2Me2N(CH2)2NMe2(H2O)2](BF4)2,3, space groupP2l/c witha=17.668(2),b=13.454(3),c=15.876(2) Å,=116.45(1)°, andZ=4; [Ag2Ph3P(CH2)2CO2 2(ClO4)]2(ClO4)2,4, space groupP¯ l witha=10.925(2),b=13.110(3),c=18.795(3) Å,=82.93(3),=87.45(3),=67.49(3)°, andZ=2. In complex1, the cobalt(II) atom is located in an inversion center and coordinated by four unidentate betaine ligands and a pair oftrans aqua ligands, and strong hydrogen bonds are formed between the aqua ligands and the pendant oxygen atoms of the betaine ligands. In complex2, mononuclear and dinuclear cations coexist in the asymmetric unit. In the mixed-ligand complex3 the betaine ligand acts in the unidentate coordination mode andN,N,N,N-tetramethylethylenediamine (tmen) in the chelate mode. Complex4 contains a discrete centrosymmetric tetranuclear cations in which one pair of betaine ligands act in the bidentate bridging mode and the other in both bidentate and one-atom bridging modes.  相似文献

Summary Metal(II) bis-chelates of the type ML2nB [M=CoII, NiII, and CuII, L=1-hydroxy-2-naphthyl(4-X-styryl)ketone, (X=H, Me, Cl, MeO), B=H2O, Py; n=0, 2] have been prepared and characterised by element analyses, i.r., ligand field spectra, magnetic moments and thermal studies. The copper(II) chelates are anhydrous monomers oftrans-square-planar configuration. The cobalt(II) and nickel(II) chelates, obtained as dihydrates, possess a high-spintrans-octahedral structure. Their anhydrides are polymeric. All the pyridine adducts have high-spintrans-octahedral geometry. The (M–O), order, namely Cu >Ni>Co, parallels the Irving-Williams order. The weak ligand field strength of 1-hydroxy-2-naphthyl(4-X-styryl)ketones is ascribed to inhibition of extensive conjugation arising from deviation of the naphthoyl group from planarity.  相似文献

The thermal decompositions of cobalt(II), nickel(II) and copper(II) complexes of4-(3'-sulfonylazido-6'-methoxyphenylazo)-1-phenyl-3-methyl-2-pyrazolin-5-one H(D1–SO2N3) and 4-(4'-sulfonylazido phenylazo)-3-phenyl-3-methyl-2-pyrazolin-5-one H(D2–SO2N3) were studied by thermogravimetry. The decomposition in all cases takes place along two stages. The first stage is due to the elimination of water and nitrogen molecules with the formation of tetracoordinate complexes containing nitrene reactive species[M(DSO2N:)2]. The second stage represents the decomposition of the material to the metal oxide. The kinetics of the decomposition were examined by using Coats–Redfern, the decomposition in all complexes was found to be first order for the first and second stages. The activation energies and other activation parameters (H* and S* and G*) were computed and related to the bonding and stereochemistry of the complexes. This revised version was published online in November 2005 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

Summary New complexes of tin(II), silver([) and iron(II) withpara- andmeta-substituted benzeneseleninic acids are reported and studied by chemical analyses, spectroscopic methods, conductivity and magnetic measurements. The complexes, of the type Sn(XC6H4SeO2)2, Ag(XC6H4SeO2) and Fe(H2O)2(XC6H4SeO2)2, were obtained by reaction of SnCl2, · 2 H2O. AgNO3 and Fe(NH4)2(SO4)2·6 H2O with the sodium benzeneseleninates, XC6H4SeO2Na (X = H.p-Cl,m-Cl,p-Br,m-Br orp-Me). The i.r. spectral data suggest that the silver and iron complexes contain RSeO 2 ligands which act as bidentates in O,O-seleninato complexes. All the iron complexes have a distorted octahedralD 4h symmetry. The number of bands in the i.r. spectra of the tin derivatives indicates that there is no equivalence in the manner in which the two seleninato ligands are bonded. We could suggest that the tin atoms are intermolecularly O.O-bonded via one RSeO 2 group, whereas the second ligand is coordinated to the metal via one oxygen atom forming polymeric -tetrahedral derivatives.  相似文献

New nickel(II) and cobalt(II) complexes of a symmetric acyclic mixed O,N,S-donor ligand, S,S-bis(8-quinolyl)-4-oxo-1,7-dithiaheptane (OESQ), with quinoline as the terminal group, [M(OESQ)(H2O)](NO3)2 [M = NiII (1) and CoII (2)], have been prepared and characterized by elemental analyses, u.v.–vis. and i.r. spectra, and by magnetic susceptibility measurement. Single X-ray diffraction analyses show that (1) and (2) are isomorphous. The nickel (or cobalt) ion in (1) [or (2)] is hexa-coordinated and the complex cation exhibits a slightly distorted-octahedral geometry defined by all five donor atoms of the ON2S2 of OESQ and a water, molecule with N2S2 in equatorial and two oxygens in axial position.  相似文献
