Summary Biacetyldihydrazone (BdH) complexes [M(BdH)3](ClO4)2 (M=CoIIor CuII) and [M(BdH)3](NO3)2,3 (M = NiIIor FeIII) have been prepared and characterized by chemical analysis, conductance measurements, electronic, i.r. and e.p.r. spectral studies and magnetic subsceptibilities measurements. A mononuclear octahedral configuration is proposed for all complexes studied.  相似文献

CrIII, MnII, CoII, NiII, CuII and PdII complexes of the macrocyclic ligand, 2,3,5,8,9,11 hexamethyl-1,4,7,10 tetraaza- cyclododeca-1,3,7,9 tetraene (DADAP), have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance, magnetic susceptibility measurements, i.r., electronic and e.p.r. spectral studies. These spectral studies suggest an octahedral geometry for the CrIII, MnII and CoII, square planar geometry for NiII and PdII and tetragonal geometry for CuII complexes.  相似文献

Four unsymmetrical vic-dioximes: [L1H2] N-(4-butylphenyl)amino-amphi-glyoxime, [L2H2] N-(4-butylphenyl)amino-anti-glyoxime, [L3H2] N-(4-phenylazophenyl)amino-amphi-glyoxime and [L4H2] N-(4-phenylazophenyl)amino-anti-glyoxime have been prepared from amphi-chloroglyoxime, anti-chloroglyoxime, 4-butylaniline and 4-(phenylazo)aniline respectively. The complexes of these vic-dioximes with NiII, CoII, CuII and CdII ions have been investigated. All are insoluble in common solvents. Their i.r. spectra and elemental analyses are given, together with mass and 1H-n.m.r. spectra of the ligands.  相似文献

The CD spectrum of the complexesQ·2CuCl2,Q·2CoCl2,Q·2NiCl2·8H2O,Q·3CrCl3·6H2O,Q·PdCl2·3H2O andQ·2PdCl2·5H2O (whereQ=quinine) inDMF orDMSO solution revealsCotton effects in the d-d absorption range. TheCotton effects are relatively strong in the case of Cu(II) and Pd(II) complexes which implies that only in these complexes the hydroxyl group of the quinine molecule possibly participates in the coordination with these metal ions by formation of a chelate ring. The IR spectra of the complexes of Pd(II) are discussed in this respect.

Zusammenfassung Die CD-Spektren der KomplexeQ·2CuCl2,Q·2CoCl2,Q·2NiCl2·8H2O,Q·3CrCl3·6H2O,Q·PdCl2·3H2O undQ·2PdCl2·5H2O, (Q=Chinin), inDMF-bzw.DMSO-Lösungen zeigenCotton-Effekte im Gebiet der d-d-Elektronenübergänge. DieCotton-Effekte sind relativ stark im Falle der Cu(II)- und Pd(II)-Komplexe, was zu der Annahme führt, daß die Hydroxygruppe des Chininmoleküls in diesen Komplexen wahrscheinlich an der Koordination dieser Metallionen durch Chelatringbildung teilnimmt. Unter diesem Aspekt werden die IR-Spektren der Pd(II)-Komplexe untersucht.

A novel series of thiourea derivatives, namely, N,N-diphenyl-N-(4-phenyl-benzoyl)thiourea (HL1), N,N-diphenyl-N-(4-chloro-benzoyl)thiourea (HL2) and N,N-di-n-propyl-N-(4-chloro-benzoyl)thiourea (HL3), and its metal complexes has been prepared and characterised by elemental analysis, i.r. spectroscopy, 1H-n.m.r. spectroscopy, mass spectrometry and single crystal X-ray diffraction. The ligand coordinates to NiII, CuII and CoII in a bidentate manner yielding essentially neutral complexes of the type cis-[ML2]. N.m.r. spectra and single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis revealed the presence of a distorted tetrahedral coordination ML2 complex.  相似文献

Complexes of sulfamethoxydiazine with Cu(II), Zn(II), Ni(II), Cd(II), Cr(III) and Fe(III) have been synthesized and characterized on the basis of conductivity measurements, elemental analyses, UV, IR, 1H?NMR and thermal studies. It is shown that sulfamethoxydiazine behaves as a bidentate ligand, binding the metal ion through the sulfonyl oxygen and sulfonamide nitrogen. In vitro susceptibility tests of these complexes against Escherichia coli, Bacillus subtilis, Proteus vulgaris and Staphylococcus aureus were carried out. The results show that the antibacterial activities of the complexes of Zn(II), Cu(II), Cr(III) and Fe(III) are, in general, stronger than that of sulfamethoxydiazine, while the complexes of Cd(II) and Ni(II) are less active.  相似文献

A new series of complexes of 2-hydroxy-3,5-dimethyl acetophenone oxime (HDMAOX) with Cu(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Pd(II) have been prepared and characterized by different physical techniques. Infrared spectra of the complexes indicate deprotonation and coordination of the phenolic OH. It also confirms that nitrogen atom of the oximino group contributes to the complexation. Electronic spectra and magnetic susceptibility measurements reveal square planar geometry for Cu(II), Ni(II) and Pd(II) complexes and tetrahedral geometry for Co(II) complex. The elemental analyses and mass spectral data have justified the ML(2) composition of complexes. Kinetic and thermodynamic parameters were computed from the thermal decomposition data using Coats and Redfern method. The geometry of the metal complexes has been optimized with the help of molecular modeling. The free ligand (HDMAOX) and its metal complexes have been tested in vitro against Alternarie alternate, Aspergillus flavus, Aspergillus nidulans and Aspergillus niger fungi and Streptococcus, Staph, Staphylococcus and Escherchia coli bacteria in order to assess their antimicrobial potential. The results indicate that the ligand and its metal complexes possess antimicrobial properties.  相似文献

A series of new β-diketonato complexes have been synthesized from the reactions of iron(III), cobalt(II), nickel(II) and copper(II) Ph3P complexes with β-diketones (acetylacetone, benzoylacetone and dibenzoylmethane). All the complexes have been characterized by elemental analyses, spectral studies (i.r., electronic., magnetic., e.p.r., 1H-n.m.r.) and cyclic voltammetry. The new complexes have been used as catalysts for aromatic coupling and oxidation reactions. Higher catalytic activity has been observed for the nickel(II) complexes compared to the other complexes.  相似文献

A new Schiff base has been synthesized from 4-aminoantipyrine and 3-formylsalicylic acid. The ligand has a dianionic tetradentate compartmental OONO donor system. The cobalt(II), nickel(II), copper(II) and dioxouranium(VI) complexes exist in phenolato-bridged dinuclear species, while palladium(II) gives a mononuclear complex with free –COOH groups. The complexes have been characterized by elemental analyses, i.r., u.v.-vis, thermal and magnetic measurements.  相似文献

Acetylsalicylhydroxamic acid (AcSHA) was prepared and characterized. Its pKa value was determined as 7.78. Solid metal complexes of AcSHA were also prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, electronic and i.r. spectroscopies, and by magnetic moment measurements. The shift of both hydroxamic and acetyl carbonyl vibrations to lower frequencies clearly indicates that AcSHA is bonded through oxygen atoms to the metal ions as a tridentate ligand. On the basis of the experimental data, structures for the complexes are purposed.  相似文献

Azo compounds were prepared by the reaction between benzenediazonium chloride and 4-amino-5-hydroxy-2,7-naphthalenedisulfonic acid monosodium salt under alkaline conditions. Two new azo-linked Schiff base ligands, 4-(3-methoxysalicylidene)-5-hydroxy-6-(2-hydroxyphenylazo)-2,7-naphthalene disulfonic acid disodium salt (H2L) and 4-(3-methoxysalicylidene)-5-hydroxy-6-(2-hydroxy-4-cholorophenylazo)-2,7-naphthalenedisulfonic acid disodium salt (H2L1), have been synthesized. Also, the new CuII, NiII and CoII complexes of the azo-linked Schiff base ligands were prepared and characterized by infrared spectra, UV–Vis, 1H- and 13C-n.m.r., attached proton test (APT) and distortionless enhancement by polarization transfer (DEPT) and atomic absorption spectroscopy, mass spectrocopy, elemental analyses, thermogravimetric analysis, conductivity and magnetic measurements. It was determined that the synthesized ligands were comprised of six-membered rings due to intramolecular hydrogen bonding. The results suggested that condensation of the azo-derivative compounds and o-vanillin in a 1:1 molar ratio produces mononuclear Schiff base ligands with an ONO donor set. Preliminary histological studies were made. Magnetic moment studies showed that all complexes have a tetrahedral configuration.  相似文献

New complexes of Co(II), Ni(II), and Cu(II) nitrates, chlorides, and perchlorates with 4-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-1,2,4-triazole (L) were obtained and examined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, X-ray powder diffraction, and electronic absorption and IR spectroscopy. The cations of all the complexes have linear trinuclear structures. Ligand L is coordinated to the metal ions in a bidentate bridging fashion through the N(1) and N(2) atoms of the heterocycle. The coordination polyhedron of the metal atoms is a distorted octahedron. The molecular and crystal structures of the complexes [Co3L6(H2O)6](ClO4)6 · 3C2H5OH · 3.75H2O and [M3L6(H2O)6](ClO4)6 · 6H2O (M = Cu2+ and Ni2+) were determined.  相似文献

Summary Cobalt(II), nickel(II) and copper(II) complexes of 2-thiouracil and its arylazo derivatives were prepared. The elemental analysis suggest a range of 11, 21 and 13 stoichiometries. New complexes of MnII, CoII, NiII, CuII, and CdII with bis(acetophenone) ethylenediamine and 5-chlorosalicylideneaniline or 5-bromosalicylideneaniline have been prepared and characterized on the basis of elemental analyses, thermogravimetric analyses, magnetic measurements, electronic and i.r. spectra. The antimicrobial activities of the complexes, ligands, control (dimethyl formamide) and metal salts were tested against Salmonella typhi (bacteria), Saccharomyces cerevisae (yeast), and two fungal species Lasiodiplodia theobromae and Fusarium oxysporum. Summary Acetylacetone bis-benzoylhydrazone (PhCONHN=CMe)2 CH2(LH2) and acetylacetone bis-isonicotinoylhydrazone (NC5H4CONHN=CMe)2CH2(LH2) complexes of the types [ML] and [ML] (M = CoII, NiII, CuII or ZnII) have been prepared and characterized. All the complexes are non-electrolytes and the cobalt(II) complexes are lowspin, the nickel(II) complexes are diamagnetic and the copper(II) complexes are paramagnetic. The ligands chelate via two C=N groups and two deprotonated enolate groups. The e.s.r. spectra of the copper(II) complexes indicate a tetragonally distorted dimeric structure. The X-ray diffraction parameters for [CoL] and [NiL] correspond to a tetragonal crystal lattice.  相似文献

An asymmetric bidentate Schiff-base ligand (2-hydroxybenzyl-2-furylmethyl)imine (L–OH) was prepared. Three complexes derived from L–OH were synthesized by treating an ethanolic solution of the appropriate ligand with an equimolar amount of metallic salt. Three complexes, Cu2(L–O?)2Cl2 (1), Ni(L–O?)2 (2) and Co(L–O?)3 (3), have been structurally characterized through elemental analysis, IR, UV spectra and thermogravimetric analysis. Single crystal X-ray diffraction shows metal ions and ligands reacted with different proportions 1?:?1, 1?:?2 and 1?:?3, respectively, so copper(II), nickel(II), and cobalt(III) have different geometries.  相似文献

Summary 2-(2-Pyridyl)-1, 3-propanediol was converted into the diacetate, which was then condensed with phthalimide. The product was hydrolyzed with hydrochloric acid to give 2-(2-pyridyl)-1, 3-diaminopropane. The free amine gave 12 complexes with copper(II), nickel(II), and cobalt(III), which were characterized spectroscopically and magnetically. Features of the amine as a ligand are discussed. New transition metal complexes of Co(II), Cu(II), Ni(II), and Fe(III) of the ligands 6,6′-(1E,1′E)-(4,5-dimethyl-1,2-phenylene)bis(azan-1-yl-1-ylidene)bis(methan-1-yl-1-ylidene)bis(7-hydroxy-5-methoxy-2-methyl-4H-chromen-4-one) H2L1 and 6,6’-(1E,1′E)-cyclohexane-1,2-diylbis(azan-1-yl-1-ylidene)bis(methan-1-yl-1-ylidene)bis(7-hydroxy-5-methoxy-2-methyl-4H-chromen-4-one) H2L2 have been prepared and characterized using physio-chemical and spectroscopic methods. The results obtained for the complexes indicated that the geometries of the metal centres are either square planar or octahedral. Cyclopropanation reactions of unactivated olefins by ethyldiazoacetate (EDA) in the presence of [L1Cu]·H2O, [L2Cu]·2H2O and [L2*Co]·2H2O as catalysts were examined. The results showed that only [L2*Co]·2H2O can act as a catalyst for the cyclopropanation reaction of unactivated olefins with very high selectivity (up to 99% based on EDA).  相似文献
