The differential cross section for the elastic scattering of protons from 4He has been measured at 200, 350, and 500 MeV over an angular range from 3.5° to 15° in the lab system. In addition, the analyzing power was measured in the same angular range at 350 and 500 MeV. The experiment makes use of a tenuous gas target in which the recoil -energy is measured with solid-state detectors. The proton scattering angle is measured outside the target by a system of multi-wire proportional counters. The differential cross sections have a nearly exponential dependence on momentum transfer in this kinematic range and grow with increasing energy. The analyzing power shows strong positive asymmetry.  相似文献

The differential cross sections for the elastic and inelastic scattering of protons on deuterium have been measured for scattering angles less than 14° at 198.5, 297.6 and 456.6 MeV. These quantities were determined relative to dσ / dΩ for pp elastic scattering with a precision of typically 2%. The range of excitation energies for the (p, p') reaction was chosen to emphasize the region near the np threshold dominated by the final-state interaction in the 1S0 channel. Particular attention was given to the dependence on excitation energy of the spectra at 198.5 MeV to examine the sensitivity to the 1S0 scattering length, anp In this paper all data are compared with a new, detailed formulation of a simple model of the reaction mechanism based on the impulse approximation. The experimental results differ from the predictions by typically 10% and the differential cross sections exhibit a sensitivity to the intermediate-energy nucleon-nucleon amplitudes. If the impulse approximation is used to estimate anp from the data at 198.5 MeV a value of − 24.7 ± 0.4 fm is obtained.  相似文献

The polarization of protons from the 9Be(d, p)10Be reaction has been measured for deuteron energies between 1 and 6 MeV. Angular distributions of the polarization for the ground state proton group (Q=4.59 MeV) have been measured for laboratory angles 10° and 135° at 2.5, 4.0 and 5.5 MeV. The polarization at a laboratory angle of 30° was measured in 0.2 MeV steps between 1 and 6 MeV. In addition the polarization of protons leaving 10Be in its first excited state (Q=1.22 MeV) was measured between 10° and 90° for a deuteron bombarding energy of 5.5 MeV. Measurements were made by conventional double-scattering techniques using elastic scattering from helium at 45° as the analyser. The results show a strong energy dependence contrary to what one might expect on the basis of the lack of structure in the cross section. The maximum polarization observed at each energy is about 0.35.  相似文献

Differential cross sections of the np charge exchange scattering between 190 MeV and 590 MeV have been measured by detecting the scattered protons in an angular range of 0° θlab 18°. The cross section at 0° as well as the logarithmic slope of the angular distribution are found to be almost energy independent, in contrast to previous experiments, but in agreement with recent LAMPF data.  相似文献

The reaction 56Fe(d, p)57Fe is investigated at 12 MeV using the Aldermaston multi-channel magnetic spectrograph. The angular distributions of protons leading to various states in 57Fe upto an excitation of 6.7 MeV are measured over an angular range 5°–175°. The data are analysed with the distorted wave Born approximation calculations; a satisfactory agreement is found in most cases upto about 100°. Spin, parity and the spectroscopic factors for various states are obtained and the positions of the single-quasiparticle energies determined. The results are compared with those for the isotonic nuclei 55Cr and 59Ni and with the pairing theory.  相似文献

Using the high-resolution spectrometer SPES-I, the angular distribution of 1.047 GeV protons scattered from 58Ni, 60Ni, 62Ni, 64Ni have been measured in the angular range 4–18°, up to 4.8 MeV excitation energy. The data are analyzed within the framework of Glauber multiple scattering theory using a spin-dependent NN scattering amplitude. The parameters of the neutron density distributions have been determined by a χ2 analysis of elastic scattering. The inelastic data corresponding to the first 2+ and 3 states are analyzed with the collective model and an attempt has been made to extract information about the corresponding neutron transition densities.  相似文献

Inclusive cross sections for production of protons, deuterons and tritons by neutrons in the energy range of 300–580 MeV on copper and bismuth have been measured at five angles between 54° and 164°. The systematic dependence of the invariant cross sections on incident energy and emission angle are evaluated. For the study of the mass-number dependence earlier data on carbon are included. The results are discussed on the basis of different models, like quasi-two-body sealing or moving-source model.  相似文献

A stack of annular detectors made of high-purity germanium was used to measure simultaneously pd → 3H π+ and pd → 3He π0 differential cross sections at beam momenta of 750 MeV/c, 800 MeV/c, and 850 MeV/c over a large angular range. The extracted total cross sections for the pd → 3He π0 reactions bridge a gap between near threshold data and those in the resonance region. The ratio of the cross sections for the two reaction channels taken at the same η=pcmπ/mπ yields 2.11±0.08 indicating that a deviation from isospin symmetry is very small.  相似文献

States in 16O op to an excitation energy of 16.9 MeV were observed from the 13C(6Li, t)16O reaction at 20 MeV. Differential cross sections were obtained from θlab = 15° to 105° for the triton groups corresponding to the states in 16O at 6.13, 6.92, 7.12, 8.87, 9.85, 10.35 and 11.09 MeV.  相似文献

Excitation functions of the differential cross sections dσ/dgw, analyzing powers AN and spin correlation parameters ANN, ASS and ASL have been measured with internal targets at the Cooler Synchrotron COSY. Data were taken continously during the acceleration and deceleration of the internal beam for kinetic energies between 450 and 2500 MeV and scattering angles 30° σcm 90°. Details of the experimental method are presented. The results provide excitation functions and angular distributions of high precision and internal consistency. No evidence for narrow structures are found. Upper limits on the coupling of narrow resonances to elastic scattering in the mass range √s = 2.2…2.8 GeV are deduced. The data have significant impact on phase shift solutions.  相似文献

The low-lying levels of 18O with even parity form a rotational band. Longitudinal and transverse cross sections are calculated for all levels up to 7 MeV excitation energy. The deformed state is a system of two protons and two neutrons in the deformed s, d orbitals above the core 14C. Also matrix elements between spherical states are calculated using an effective charge n = 0.4 for neutrons and 1.4 for protons. The effective charge is determined by fitting theoretical and experimental quadrupole moments of 17O in the ground state. The effective charge in the calculation of the matrix elements between deformed states takes into account the 14C core deformation. As in ref. 11), too low transitions probabilities are found in comparison with experimental data.  相似文献

Differential cross sections for the reactions 16O(γ, ππ+−)16F16F to the sum of the four lowest lying states in 16F and 16N have been measured as a function of angle for pions with a kinetic energy of 30 MeV. The extracted ratios R = σ(γ, π)/σ(γ, π+), the first ones to discrete final states as a function of angle, are in fair agreement with results obtained for the nucleon. For positive pions the energy dependence of the cross section has been measured at the angles of 45° and 90°. Distorted wave impulse approximation calculations fail to describe the energy dependence.  相似文献

近年来,越来越多的实验表明,很多轻奇特核结构中都有核心激发成分。本研究以丰中子晕核11Be为例,介绍核心激发成分的实验和理论研究进展,重点阐述核心激发成分对直接核反应微分截面的影响。实验上,1n移除反应及11Be(p,d)和10Be(d,p)转移反应是测量11Be核心激发成分比例的典型实验类型。理论上,发展了能够包括11Be核心激发成分的Faddeev AGS方法,XDWBA方法以及XCDCC方法。加入核心激发成分后,这些模型的计算结果可以更加合理地描述11Be在各种靶上的弹性散射和碎裂微分截面。通过对比是否包含核心激发成分的计算结果,发现其影响主要体现在弹散微分截面的大质心系角度,以及(p,d)转移反应角分布的小质心系角度。另外,对Ex=0:5s3 MeV的激发能区的碎裂反应,核心激发的影响不可忽略;对Ex=3s5:5 MeV的碎裂反应,核心激发的贡献非常重要。It was found that many light exotic nuclei have the core-excitation components. In this paper, taking one-neutron halo nucleus 11Be for example, the experimental and theoretical research progress, as well as the influences on the direct nuclear reaction differential cross sections of this exotic component were reviewed. The 1n removal, 11Be(p, d) and 10Be(d, p) transfer reactions are typical experimental methods to investigate this component. The Faddeev AGS, the XDWBA, and the XCDCC methods are developed to include this constituent in various theoretical models. With the core-excitation component, the calculated results can more reasonably describe the elastic scattering and breakup differential cross sections of 11Be impinging on various targets. Comparing the full XCDCC calculation with that omitting core-excitation effect, we found that this component mainly affects the elastic scattering differential cross sections at large center-of-mass angles, and the (p, d) transfer reaction angular distributions at small center-of-mass angles. In addition, its effect is non-negligible for the breakup reaction within the excitation energy interval of Ex = 0:5~3 MeV, and is remarkable for Ex =3 5:5 MeV.  相似文献

Measurements of the inelastic scattering of 30 MeV protons from 138Ba and 144Sm have been carried out with 7–10 keV energy resolution. Differential cross sections were measured for levels up through 3.4 MeV excitation energy. For most of these states Jπ assignments are suggested on the basis of angular distributions distinctly characteristic of angular momentum transfer L = 2, 3, 4,or 6.  相似文献

An analysis is made of the measurements of the elastic and inelastic scattering of 46 MeV protons by 3Be and 12C. The optical and collective models are used. There is considerable ambiguity in the optical parameters, and it was not found possible to obtain good fits to cross sections and polarizations simultaneously. Large quadrupole deformations were found for both 12C (β2 ≈ 0.6) and 9Be(β2 ≈ 1). The inelastic scattering from 12C agrees best with deformation of both real and imaginary parts of the optical potential, while 9Be shows a preference for real coupling. The 14.1 MeV level in 12C is interpreted as the 4+ rotational state, while the angular distribution for the 7.6 MeV 0+ level is well described by double quadrupole excitation via the lowest 2+. Interpretations are suggested for other inelastic transitions, including the excitation of spin and isospin oscillations.  相似文献

The total cross sections and the differential cross sections of π+-4He elastic and inelastic reactions at Eπ=120, 145 and 165 MeV have been measured using a 38 cm diffusion cloud chamber in a magnetic field exposed to the Frascati Laboratories' pion beam. Total π+ track lengths of (2141 ± 10) × 103 cm, (3435 ± 10) × 103 cm and (2413 ± 10) × 103 cm were measured at the three considered energies, respectively. The elastic cross-section data are in good agreement with the results of the Dubna-Torino collaboration. The total inelastic cross sections have been obtained taking into account the contributions from all the inelastic channels. The analysis of the various inelastic processes has allowed us to distinguish five main reaction mechanisms, which compare reasonably with the existing data and with the models for pion-light-nuclei interactions.  相似文献

Angular correlations and angular distributions of the fission fragments produced in the bombardment of a 232Th target with protons, deuterons and α-particles in the energy range between 35 and 1000 MeV/nucleon have been measured. From these measurements, the distributions of linear momentum imparted to fissioning nuclei have been deduced in the various energy regimes; dominating reaction mechanisms are classified according to the fraction of the available incident momentum transferred to the target. The experimental results are compared to the predictions of intra-nuclear cascade calculations. An optimum excitation energy supported by the fissioning nuclei could be the dominant limitation to momentum transfer at high incident energies. The angular distributions of the fission fragments were used to extract fission cross sections and upper limits of the angular momentum imparted to the fissioning nuclei.  相似文献

Cross sections have been measured for the transitions to the ground state and first excited state of 8Be and to the two 2+ levels at 16.63 MeV and 16.93 MeV excitation in the reaction 10B(p, 3He) at Ep = 49.5 MeV. Differential cross sections for Compton scattering by the proton have been measured in the energy interval between 200 and 500 MeV at scattering angles of θcms = 75° and θcms = 90° using the CATS, the CATS/TRAJAN, and the COPP setups with the Glasgow Tagger at MAMI (Mainz). The data are compared with predictions from dispersion theory using photo-meson amplitudes from the recent VPI solution SM95. The experiment and the theoretical procedure are described in detail. It is found that the experiment and predictions are in agreement as far as the energy dependence of the differential cross sections in the Δ-range is concerned. However, there is evidence that a scaling down of the resonance part of the M1+3/2 photo-meson amplitude by (2.8 ± 0.9)% is required in comparison with the VPI analysis. The deduced value of the M1+3/2-photoproduction amplitude at the resonance energy of 320 MeV is: |M1+3/2| = (39.6 ± 0.4) × 10−3 mπ+−1.  相似文献
