提出了一种新的宽带激光谐波转换理论,指出实际宽带激光谐波转换不能简单应用倍频理论,提出同时存在不同波长之间满足和频相位匹配情况,因而宽带谐波转换应该是一个倍频加和频的混合转换过程.在合理设计下,不同波长之间的和频效应可以在整个谐波转换中占主导地位,突破了传统允许波长的限制,这种理论和方法不仅适合二倍频,同时适合三倍频等高次谐波转换 关键词: 宽带激光 谐波转换 混频  相似文献

A novel distributed window for output radiation from a high power 110 GHz gyrotron is made of thin slats of sapphire interleaved and brazed to hollow metal vanes. We report the results of electromagnetic theory and cold test of this distributed window. We calculate the frequency dependence of the reflectivity of a Gaussian beam from the window. The theory indicates a significant frequency shift of the minimum reflectivity with temperature rise of the sapphire slab. This effect is of great importance for high power operation. In cold test, the distributed window reflectivity was measured while the window was heated. The cold test results are in good agreement with the theory.  相似文献

A theory of real-time dependence of Raman scattering for a pulse-mode laser is developed within second-order perturbation theory and using the wavepacket terminology.We apply the theory to continuum Raman scattering for short and long pulses and varying pulse carrier frequency,For an initial ground virational state,it is shown that the rate of Raman emission as a funcition of time and pulse carrier frequency is structureless for all pulses,and for pulses that are longer than the dissociation time the rate also decays with the pulses.This is contrary to recently reported resonance fluorescence type structures at long times (M.Shapiro,J.Chem.Phys.99,2453(1993),We explain why such structures are unphysical for continuum Raman scattering.  相似文献

We have performed electron spin resonance measurements over a wide frequency and magnetic field range on a single crystal of the S=1 quasi-one-dimensional Heisenberg antiferromagnet Ni(C5H14N2)2N3(PF6). We observed gapped excitation branches above the critical field H(c) where the Haldane gap closes. These branches are analyzed by a phenomenological field theory using the complex-field phi(4) model. A satisfactory agreement between experiment and theory is obtained.  相似文献

We consider the two-dimensional quantum field theory of a scalar field self-interacting via two periodic terms of frequencies α and β. Looking at the theory as a perturbed sine-Gordon model, we use form factor perturbation theory to analyse the evolution of the spectrum of particle excitations. We show how, within this formalism, the non-locality of the perturbation with respect to the solitons is responsible for their confinement in the perturbed theory. The effects of the frequency ratio α/β being a rational or irrational number and the occurrence of massless flows from the gaussian to the Ising fixed point are also discussed. A generalisation of the Ashkin-Teller model and the massive Schwinger model are presented as examples of application of the formalism.  相似文献

We present a first-principles study of the structural,dielectric,and lattice dynamical properties for chalcopyrite semiconductor ZnSnP_2.The structural properties are calculated using a plane-wave pseudopotential method of densityfunctional theory.A linear response theory is used to derive Born effective charge tensors for each atom,dielectric constants in low and high frequency limits,and phonon frequencies.We calculate all zone-center phonon modes,identify Raman and infrared active modes,and report LO-TO splitting of the infrared modes.The results show an excellent agreement with experiment and propose several predictive behaviors.  相似文献

A technique is presented for generating optical frequency combs centered at arbitrary wavelengths by use of cross-phase modulation (XPM) between a femtosecond pulse train and a cw laser beam by copropagating these signals through an optical fiber. We report results from use of this method to place a 90-MHz frequency comb on an iodine-stabilized Nd:YAG laser at 1064 nm and on a frequency-doubled Nd:YVO(4) laser at 532 nm. XPM is verified to be the comb-generating process, and the width of the frequency comb is measured and compared with theory. The spacing of the frequency comb is compared with the femtosecond source, and a frequency measurement with this comb is demonstrated.  相似文献

We develop a theory for the trajectory of an x ray in the presence of a crystal deformation. A set of equations of motion for an x-ray wave packet including the dynamical diffraction is derived, taking into account the Berry phase as a correction to geometrical optics. The trajectory of the wave packet has a shift of the center position due to a crystal deformation. Remarkably, in the vicinity of the Bragg condition, the shift is enhanced by a factor omega/deltaomega (omega: frequency of an x ray, deltaomega: gap frequency induced by the Bragg reflection). Comparison with the conventional dynamical diffraction theory is also made.  相似文献

在有弱相对论性电子时,在电子迴旋频率Ωe附近存在快x模的不稳定性。从这一事实出发,我们用准线性理论分析了具有粒子数倒转的分布函数引起的不稳定性最后达到饱和的物理机制。进行了一些近似的计算,求出了电磁迴旋不稳定性的饱和时间和饱和能量及垂直、平行分布函数随时间的演化过程。发现用此理论算出的饱和能级与观察到的AKR结果是一致的。 关键词:  相似文献

We show that the resonance fluorescence spectrum of a quantum dot excited by a strong optical pulse contains multiple peaks beyond those of the Mollow triplet. We show that as the area of the optical pulse is increased, new side peaks split off the central peak and shift in frequency. A simple analytical theory has been derived, which quantitatively accounts for the appearance and position of the peaks. This theory explains the physics responsible for the multiple peaks. By considering the time-dependent spectrum we demonstrate a time ordering of the side peaks, which is further evidence for the suggested physical explanation.  相似文献

We report the first experimental demonstration to our knowledge of a microwave frequency upshifting system based on phase modulation. A sequence of flat-top optical and RF pulses at a repetition rate of 18.22 GHz, each with a FWHM time width of approximately 25 ps, is generated from a sinusoidal RF tone of only 3.680 GHz, in good agreement with our analytical and numerical calculations. A simple explanation of this technique based on Talbot effect theory is provided. The practical limitations and capabilities of the phase-modulation-based frequency upshifting approach for ultrabroadband RF waveform generation are also discussed.  相似文献

The experimentally measured vibrational spectrum of glasses strongly deviates from that expected in Debye’s elasticity theory: The density of states deviates from Debye’s ω2 law (“boson peak”), the sound velocity shows a negative dispersion in the boson-peak frequency regime, and there is a strong increase in the sound attenuation near the boson-peak frequency. A generalized elasticity theory is presented, based on the model assumption that the shear modulus of the disordered medium fluctuates randomly in space. The fluctuations are assumed to be uncorrelated and have a certain distribution (Gaussian or otherwise). Using field-theoretical techniques one is able to derive mean-field theories for the vibrational spectrum of a disordered system. The theory based on a Gaussian distribution uses a self-consistent Born approximation (SCBA),while the theory for non-Gaussian distributions is based on a coherent-potential approximation (CPA). Both approximate theories appear to be saddle-point approximations of effective replica field theories. The theory gives a satisfactory explanation of the vibrational anomalies in glasses. Excellent agreement of the SCBA theory with simulation data on a soft-sphere glass is reached. Since the SCBA is based on a Gaussian distribution of local shear moduli, including negative values, this theory describes a shear instability as a function of the variance of shear fluctuations. In the vicinity of this instability, a fractal frequency dependence of the density of states and the sound attenuation ∝ ω1+a is predicted with a ? 1/2. Such a frequency dependence is indeed observed both in simulations and in experimental data. We argue that the observed frequency dependence stems from marginally stable regions in a glass and discuss these findings in terms of rigidity percolation.  相似文献

We investigate a mechanical system (forced nonlinear torsion pendulum). The state diagram is given as function of both the external driving frequency and the damping parameter. A microscopic theory for rare-earth ferromagnetic hexaborides, such as Eu1-xCaxB6, is proposed on the basis of the double-exchange Hamiltonian. In these systems, the reduced carrier concentrations place the Fermi level near the mobility edge, introduced in the spectral density by the disordered spin background. We show that the transport properties such as the Hall effect, magnetoresistance, frequency dependent conductivity, and dc resistivity can be quantitatively described within the model. We also make specific predictions for the behavior of the Curie temperature T(C) as a function of the plasma frequency omega(p).  相似文献

A method for transforming fast solitons into slow ones in bandgap fibers is proposed. The approach is based on the deceleration of the solitons by intrapulse Raman scattering, which can be achieved for fiber modes having a cutoff frequency. We develop a comprehensive theory for the soliton slowdown and elucidate how the fiber losses introduce a fundamental minimum for the soliton velocity.  相似文献

Experimental results have shown that in the megahertz frequency range the relationship between the acoustic attenuation coefficient in soft tissues and frequency is nearly linear. The classical continuum mechanics (CCM), which assumes that the materiaJ is uniform and continuous, faJls to explain this relationship particularly in the high megahertz range. Doublet mechanics (DM) is a new elastic theory which takes the discrete nature of material into account. The current DM theory however does not consider the loss. We revise the doublet mechanics (DM) theory by including the loss term, and cMculate the attenuation of a soft tissue as a function of frequency using the modified the DM theory (MDM). The MDM can now well explain the nearly linear relationship between the acoustic attenuation coefficient in soft tissues and frequency.  相似文献

We report on initial studies of a quantum field theory defined on a lattice with multi-ladder geometry and the dilation group as a local gauge symmetry. The model is relevant in the cross-disciplinary area of econophysics. A corresponding proposal by Ilinski aimed at gauge modeling in non-equilibrium pricing is implemented in a numerical simulation. We arrive at a probability distribution of relative gains which matches the high frequency historical data of the NASDAQ stock exchange index.  相似文献

The frequency redshift in the optical-field-induced Freedericksz transition in a nematic liquid crystal film is investigated, We derive a theoretical expression for the frequency shift, and then measure the temporal evolution of the frequency shift and the light-intensity de-pendence of the maximum frequency shift. We present results for the dynamics of evolution of non-linear state plasmas in a d.c. electric field which causes ion-acoustic turbulence (IAT). We look at (1) the time variation of the drift electron velocity and of the effective collision frequency, (2) features of the redistribution and heating of resonance ions, (3) the evolution of the spectral and angular distribution of turbulent pulsations, (4) processes of heating of the bulk of the particles. The results of an analytical IAT theory are compared with computer simulations.Special attention is paid to the theory of inhomogeneous plasmas with IAT. A self-consistent theory of anomalous transport is presented. We discuss the anisotropy of anomalous transport and the influence of non-Maxwellian particle velocity distributions on the transport processes. The electromagnetic properties, self-organization and hydrodynamic instability of plasmas with IAT are discussed.  相似文献

A consistent theory of the Heisenberg quantum antiferromagnet in the disordered phase with short-range antiferromagnetic order was developed on the basis of the path integral for the spin coherent states. We presented the Lagrangian of the theory in the form that is explicitly invariant under rotations and found natural variables in terms of which one can construct a perturbation theory. The short-wavelength spin fluctuations are similar to the ones in spin-wave theory, and the long-wavelength spin fluctuations are governed by the nonlinear sigma model. We also demonstrated that the short-wavelength spin fluctuations should be considered accurately in the framework of the discrete version in time of the path integral. In the framework of our approach, we obtained the response function for the spin fluctuations for the whole region of the frequency ω and the wave vector k and calculated the free energy of the system.  相似文献
