We introduce a generalized intermediate entangled state representation |β〉Λ to study the energy spectrum of an electron in a uniform magnetic field and a harmonic potential through algebraic calculatiOn. We find that the degeneracy of the energy levels is disappeared due to the existence of the additional potential. We make it clear that the eigenfunction is just the expression of eigenvector, defined in n Fock space, in |β〉Λ representation.  相似文献

According to the present knowledge, the non-proportionality of the light yield of scintillators appears to be the fundamental limitation of energy resolution and it is related to the intrinsic properties of the crystals. However, several observations collected in the last 10 years suggest more complex processes in the scintillators. First, the study of undoped NaI and CsI crystals showed that the non-proportionality and energy resolution are very sensitive to the accidental traces of impurities. For some crystals, like CsI(Tl), ZnSe(Te), undoped NaI at liquid nitrogen temperature and finally for NaI(Tl) at temperatures reduced below 0 °C, an influence of slow components of the light pulses on energy resolution and non-proportionality is observed. A common conclusion of these observations is the fact that the highest energy resolution, and particularly the intrinsic resolution measured with scintillators, characterized by two components of the light pulse decay, is obtainable when the spectrometry equipment integrates the whole light of both components. In the limiting case, the afterglow could be considered also as a very slow component destroying the energy resolution. The aim of this work is to summarize all above observations looking for their origin.  相似文献

Using the preliminary data on BdB̄d mixing from ARGUS, and the standard model with three families, we infer a lower bound on the top quark mass of 50–70 GeV; also, BsB̄s mixing has to be close to maximal. Bistable nonlinear oscillators can transform slow sinusoidal excitations into higher frequency periodic or quasi-periodic oscillations. This behaviour can be exploited to efficiently convert mechanical oscillations into electrical power, but being nonlinear, their dynamical behaviour is relatively complicated. In order to better understand the dynamics of bistable oscillators, an approximate bilinear analytical model, which is valid for narrow potential barriers, is developed. This model is expanded to the case of wider potential with experimental verification. Indeed, the model is verified by numerical simulations and a suitable Poincaré section that the analytical model captures most of bifurcations for large amplitude vibrations and can be used to optimize the harvested power of such devices. The method of Shaw and Holmes [1] is enhanced by exploiting symmetry to obtain closed form expressions of the Poincaré section and mapping.  相似文献

The electronic transport properties of pure MgS nanotube based molecular devices, Mn-substituted nanotubes and Se-substituted nanotubes are investigated using density functional theory. The state of the art of this work is to study the transport properties of MgS nanotubes with substitution impurities across electrodes. The electronic transport properties are discussed in terms of device density of states and transmission spectrum of MgS nanotubes. The effects of Mn substitution and Se substitution in nanotubes are studied. The major contribution to density of states arises only from p orbitals in MgS nanotubes. The substitution effect and bias voltages also have influence in the density of states. The transmission spectrum provides information about the transmission of electrons along the nanotube. The information provided in this work gives a clear vision to fine-tune MgS nanostructures with improved transport property in nanoelectronic device fabrication.  相似文献

Inexpensive production and characteristic magnetoconductance fluctuation of Ge-supported stable graphene/graphene oxide layers are being reported. The changeover from graphite to graphene oxide structure during synthesis was evident from X-ray diffraction patterns whereas development of mono and bilayer graphene/graphene oxide was confirmed by electron microscopy studies. Responding to applied magnetic fields (up to 0.3 T), the Ge-supported graphene layers are shown to exhibit prominent magnetoconductance steps and are attributed to the alteration of Landau levels across the Fermi surface. While low-cost fabrication process is attractive for large scale production, the advantage of short synthesis time and understanding magneto-transport mechanism would find relevance in graphene-based nanodevices and circuits.  相似文献

This paper describes a new multi-layer complex liquid-cooled Si mirror with 3 cooling ducts in Archimedes spirals. Utilizing the ANSYS program, the structure of the mirror is optimized and the thermal deformation model of the mirror is simulated. The simulation results show that the mirror has the following advantages: very small amount of surface deformation, uniform distribution of temperature and surface deformation, and fast surface shape restoration. The results of the experiments of thermal deformation and the surface restoration are accurately mapped to the simulation results.  相似文献

Graphene and other two-dimensional materials have recently emerged as promising candidates for next-generation,high-performance photonics. In this paper, the progress of research into photodetectors and other electro-optical devices based on graphene integrated silicon photonics is briefly reviewed. We discuss the performance metrics, photo-response mechanisms, and experimental results of the latest graphene photodetectors integrated with silicon photonics. We also lay out the unavoidable performance trade-offs in meeting the requirements of various applications. In addition, we describe other opto-electronic devices based on this idea. Integrating two-dimensional materials with a silicon platform provides new opportunities in advanced integrated photonics.  相似文献

A comprehensive understanding of the organic semiconductor material pentacene is meaningful for organic fieldeffect transistors (OFETs). Thin films of pentacene are the most mobile molecular films known to date. This paper reported that the pentacene sample was successfully synthesized. The purity of pentacene is up to 95%. The results of a joint experimental investigation based on a combination of infrared absorption spectra, mass spectra (MS), element analysis, x-ray diffraction (XRD) and atom force microscopy (AFM). The authors fabricated OFET with the synthesized pentacene. Its field effect mobility is about 1.23 cm^2/(V·s) and on-off ratio is above 10^6.  相似文献

Plant–soil interactions are recognized to play a crucial role in the ecosystem response to climate change. We developed a facility to disentangle the complex interactions behind the plant–soil C feedback mechanisms. The MICE (‘Multi-Isotope labelling in a Controlled Environment’) facility consists of two climate chambers with independent control of the atmospheric conditions (light, CO2, temperature, humidity) and the soil environment (temperature, moisture). Each chamber holds 15 plant–soil systems with hermetical separation of the shared above ground (shoots) from the individual belowground compartments (roots, rhizosphere, soil). Stable isotopes (e.g. 13C, 15N, 2H, 18O) can be added to either compartment and traced within the whole system. The soil CO2 efflux rate is monitored, and plant material, leached soil water and gas samples are taken frequently. The facility is a powerful tool to improve our mechanistic understanding of plant–soil interactions that drive the C cycle feedback to climate change.  相似文献
