Differential spectral interferometry (DSI), a novel method of biomedical imaging that combines the high dynamic range of optical coherence tomography (OCT) with inherently parallel low-bandwidth image acquisition of spectral interferometry (SI), is described. DSI efficiently removes the deleterious dc background inherent in SI measurements while maintaining the parallel nature of SI. We demonstrate DSI on both synthetic and biological samples. Because DSI preserves the low-bandwidth, parallel nature of SI, it is competitive with OCT for biomedical applications in terms of image quality and acquisition rate.  相似文献

单耳通信时,周边噪声对语言可懂度产生影响。针对信号侧语音信号强度70dB时,研究3种不同类型噪声下,干扰侧不同强度噪声和信号侧不同信噪比情况的语言可懂度。实验结果表明:当信号侧信噪比大于某一阈值时,干扰侧噪声对可懂度不产生显著影响,该阈值同噪声类型有关;而在信号侧低信噪比的情形下,干扰侧适当强度噪声可提高信号侧语言可懂度,最佳干扰噪声级为78—82dB,过大的干扰侧噪声级导致可懂度下降。基于心理声学和生理学的初步机理发现:噪声环境下的语音识别中,对侧耳中耳肌肉伸缩对噪声感知的抑制提高了信号侧语言可懂度。   相似文献

This paper presents a mixed framework based on an efficient intra key frame coding and an improved side information (SI) generation scheme in transform domain Wyner–Ziv (WZ) video coding. The performance of the WZ video coding strongly depends on the quality of the SI. The SI can be generated from the decoded key frames resulted from intra key frame video coding. The better the decoded key frames are the better would be the SI generation. In this paper, a Burrows–Wheeler transform (BWT) based intra-frame video coding is proposed to generate improved decoded key frames. Furthermore, an improved SI generation scheme with multilayer perceptron (MLP) is proposed. Comparative analysis with other standard techniques of WZ video coding reveals that the proposed scheme has better standing as compared to its counterparts in terms of both coding efficiency and improved perceptual quality.  相似文献

It has previously been observed that during isometric dorsiflexion exercise, the time course of T2-weighted signal intensity (SI) changes is spatially heterogeneous. The purpose of this study was to test the hypothesis that this spatial heterogeneity would increase at higher contraction intensities. Eight subjects performed 90-s isometric dorsiflexion contractions at 30% and 60% of maximum voluntary contraction (MVC) while T2-weighted (repetition time/echo time=4000/35 ms) images were acquired. SI was measured before, during and after the contractions in regions of interest (ROIs) in the extensor digitorum longus (EDL) muscle and the deep and superficial compartments of the tibialis anterior (D-TA and S-TA, respectively). For all ROIs at 30% MVC, SI changes were similar. The maximum postcontraction SI was greater than the SI during exercise. At 60% MVC, SI changes during contraction were greater in the S-TA than in the D-TA and EDL. For the EDL and D-TA, the maximum postcontraction SI was greater than those during exercise. For the S-TA, the maximum postcontraction change was greater than the changes at t=8, 20 and 56 s but not the end-exercise value. We conclude that spatial heterogeneity increases during more intense dorsiflexion contractions, possibly reflecting regional differences in perfusion or neural activation of the muscle.  相似文献

Shannon information (SI) and its special case, divergence, are defined for a DNA sequence in terms of probabilities of chemical words in the sequence and are computed for a set of complete genomes highly diverse in length and composition. We find the following: SI (but not divergence) is inversely proportional to sequence length for a random sequence but is length independent for genomes; the genomic SI is always greater and, for shorter words and longer sequences, hundreds to thousands times greater than the SI in a random sequence whose length and composition match those of the genome; genomic SIs appear to have word-length dependent universal values. The universality is inferred to be an evolution footprint of a universal mode for genome growth.  相似文献

We introduce the similarity index (SI) for the classification of the sea floor from acoustic profiling data. The essential part of our approach is the singular value decomposition of the data to extract a signal coherent trace-to-trace using the Karhunen-Loeve transform. SI is defined as the percentage of the energy of the coherent part contained in the bottom return signals. Important aspects of SI are that it is easily computed and that it represents the textural roughness of the sea floor as a function of grain size, hardness, and a degree of sediment sorting. In a real data example, we classified a section of the sea floor off Cheju Island south of the Korean Peninsula and compared the result with the sedimentology defined from direct sediment sampling and side scan sonar records. The comparison shows that SI can efficiently discriminate the bottom properties by delineating sediment-type boundaries and transition zones in more detail. Therefore, we propose that SI is an effective parameter for geoacoustic modeling.  相似文献

The dynamics of the skew information (SI) is investigated for a single Cooper Pair Box (CPB) interacting with a single cavity field. By suitably choosing the system parameters and precisely controlling the dynamics, novel connection is found between the SI and entanglement generation. It is shown that SI can be increased and reach its maximum value either by increasing the number of photons inside the cavity or considering the far off-resonant case.The number of oscillations of SI is increased by decreasing this ratio between the Josephson junction capacity and the gate capacity. This leads to significant improvement of the travelling time between the maximum and minimum values.  相似文献

分布式视频编码中边信息的质量决定了系统的率失真性能,边信息质量越高,则率失真性能越好。针对视频序列中对象运动的不均匀特性,结合MCTI技术,本文提出了一种新的边信息生成算法。其基本思想是在编码端利用多块模式算法对帧中宏块进行划分,将宏块分为运动缓慢块和运动剧烈块;在解码端,对运动缓慢块直接由MCTI算法生成边信息,而运动剧烈块的边信息要经过后处理进行优化得到。仿真实验表明与直接由MCTI生成边信息方法相比,本文算法可以使生成边信息的峰值信噪比(PSNR)比原有的算法提高0.8dB-1.2dB左右,有效提高了边信息的质量。  相似文献

INTRODUCTION: Inhomogeneity of magnetic fields, both B(0) and B(1), has been a major challenge in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Field inhomogeneity leads to image artifacts and unreliability of signal intensity (SI) measurements. This work proposes and shows the feasibility of generating equilibrium signal intensity (SI(Eq)) maps that can be utilized either to speed up relaxation-rate measurement or to enhance image quality and relaxation-rate-based weighting in various applications. METHODS: A 1.5-T MRI scanner was used. In canines (n=4), myocardial infarction was induced, and 48 h after the administration of 0.05 mmol kg(-1) Gd(ABE-DTTA), a contrast agent with slow tissue kinetics, in vivo R(1) mapping was carried out using an inversion recovery (IR)-prepared, fast gradient-echo sequence with varying inversion times (TIs). To test the SI(Eq) mapping method without the confounding effects of motion and blood flow, we carried out ex vivo R(1) mapping after the administration of 0.2 mmol kg(-1) Gd(DTPA) using an IR-prepared, fast spin-echo sequence in another group of dogs (n=2). R(1,full) maps and SI(Eq) maps were generated from the data from both sequences by three-parameter nonlinear curve fitting of the SI versus TI dependence. R(1,full) maps served as the reference standard. Raw IR images were then divided by the SI(Eq) maps, yielding corrected SI maps (COSIMs). Additionally, R(1) values were calculated from each single-TI image separately, using the SI(Eq) value and a one-parameter curve-fitting procedure (R(1,single)). Voxelwise correlation analysis was carried out for the COSIMs and the R(1,single) maps, both versus the standard R(1,full) maps. Deviations of R(1,single) from R(1,full) were statistically evaluated. RESULTS: In vivo, COSIM versus R(1,full) showed significantly (P<.05) better correlation [correlation coefficient (CC)=0.95] than SI versus R(1,full) with a TI=700-800 ms, which is 200-300 ms longer than the tau(null) (500 ms) of viable myocardium. With such TIs, SI versus R(1,full) yielded CCs of 0.86-0.88. R(1,single) versus R(1,full) yielded a peak CC of 0.96 at TI=700-900 ms. Mean deviations of R(1,single) from R(1,full) were below 5% for TIs between 500 and 1000 ms. Ex vivo, where tau(null) was 300 ms, the advantage of correction with SI(Eq) was not in the improvement of linear correlation but more in the reduction of scatter. Peak CCs for SI versus R(1,full) and COSIM versus R(1,full) at TI=500 ms were 0.96 for both. The ex vivo CC for R(1,single) versus R(1,full) at TI=500 ms was 0.98. Mean deviations of R(1,single) from R(1,full) were below 5% for TIs between 400 and 700 ms. CONCLUSIONS: Once the corresponding SI(Eq) map is obtained from a control stack, R(1) can be obtained accurately, using only a single IR image and without the need for a stack of TI-varied images. This approach could be applied in various dynamic MRI studies where short measurement time, once the dynamics has started, is of essence. When using this method with IR-prepared T(1)-weighted images, it is essential that the single TI be chosen such that the longitudinal relaxation in all voxels of interest would have passed tau(null). SI(Eq) maps are also useful in eliminating confounders from MR images to allow obtaining SI values that reflect more faithfully the relaxation parameter (R(1)) sought.  相似文献

This article expounds the significance of the revision of the international system of units, the SI, approved by the General Conference on Weights and Measures (CGPM) in 2018. The revised SI implements a construct of a system of units based on fixing the numerical values of constants of nature, the “defining constants.” This fundamental development in the SI is not only elegant and infinitely sustainable, but moreover will drive future technological innovation. This article provides an historical overview and discusses the underlying principles and consequences of the revised SI: from the history of Planck's proposal for creating a system of units “valid for all times and civilizations,” to the scientific and technological motivations for the revision and the expected resulting innovations.  相似文献

The carrier-concentration-driven superconductor-to-insulator (SI) transition as well as transport properties in underdoped YBa2Cu3O(y) twinned crystals is studied. The SI transition takes place at y approximately 6.3, carrier concentration n(SI)H approximately 3x10(20) cm(-3), anisotropy rho(c)/rho(ab) approximately 10(3), and the threshold resistivity rho(SI)ab approximately 0.8 mOmega cm which corresponds to a critical sheet resistance h/4e2 approximately 6.5 kOmega per CuO2 bilayer. The evolution of a carrier, nH infiniti y - 6.2, is clearly observed in the underdoped region. The resistivity and Hall coefficient abruptly acquire strong temperature dependence at y approximately 6.5 indicating a radical change in the electronic state.  相似文献

This study demonstrates a new possibility of estimating intelligibility of speech in informational maskers. The temporal and spectral properties of sound maskers are investigated to achieve acoustic privacy in public spaces. Speech intelligibility (SI) tests were conducted using Japanese sentences in daily use for energy (white noise) or informational (reversed speech) maskers. We found that the masking effects including informational masking on SI might not be estimated by analyzing the narrow-band temporal envelopes, which is a common way of predicting SI under noisy conditions. The masking effects might instead be visualized by spectral auto-correlation analysis on a frame-by-frame basis, for the series of dominant-spectral peaks of the masked target in the frequency domain. Consequently, we found that dissimilarity in frame-based spectral-auto-correlation sequences between the original and masked targets was the key to evaluating maskers including informational masking effects on SI.  相似文献

Amorphous FeCoSiB films were deposited on the flexible polyimide substrates (Kapton type (VN)) by DC magnetron sputtering. Stress impedance (SI) effects of the flexible amorphous FeCoSiB magnetoelastic films were investigated in details. The results show that a large stress impedance effect can be observed in the flexible amorphous FeCoSiB magnetoelastic films. And the results also show a bias magnetic field plays an important role in the stress impedance of FeCoSiB films. Applied a bias magnetic field during depositing can induce obvious in-plane anisotropy in the FeCoSiB films, and a larger SI effect can be obtained with a stronger anisotropy in FeCoSiB films. Argon pressure has a significant effect on the SI effect of the FeCoSiB films. The SI of the FeCoSiB films reaches a maximum of 7.6% at argon pressure of 1.5 Pa, which can be explained by the change of residual stress in FeCoSiB films.  相似文献

The tissue concentration of an extravascularly distributed MRI contrast agent required to achieve a 20% change in the MRI signal intensity (SI) of skeletal muscle was determined using radiolabeled gadoteridol administered to nephrectomized mice. This minimal change in the quantified SI was reliably detected qualitatively in the MR muscle images. MR images of muscle were acquired following each intravenous injection of six sequential doses of 0.8 micromol of 153Gd-labeled gadoteridol. A 2.0 T imaging spectrometer and a T1-weighted spin-echo pulse sequence were used to acquire the MR images. After imaging, the injected 153Gd in muscle was measured, and the 153Gd assay results were used to determine the gadoteridol concentration in muscle following each injection. The muscle concentrations of gadoteridol were then correlated to the quantified enhanced MR SI of muscle. Using the 20% factor, it was concluded that the amount of gadoteridol necessary to achieve a reliable change in the SI of muscle was 33+/-10 nmol/g-skeletal muscle.  相似文献

针对汽油机稀燃条件下循环变动大,燃料燃烧不充分的问题,本文在一台加装了电控氢气喷射系统的四缸汽油机上就混氢对改善汽油机稀燃条件下燃烧与排放性能的作用进行了试验研究。在发动机1400r/min,进气道绝对压力为61.5 kPa的条件下,就1%与3%两种进气混氢体积分数对稀燃汽油机燃烧与排放特性的影响进行了研究。试验结果表明,稀燃时发动机制动热效率随混氢分数增加而提高;滞燃期与速燃期随混氢分数增加而缩短;发动机稀燃极限所对应的过量空气系数由原机的1.45提高至混氢1%与3%时的1.55和1.96。混氢后发动机HC与CO排放降低,但NO_x排放有所升高。  相似文献

In this paper we present the current status of modelling the time evolution of the transient conductivity of photoexcited semi-insulating (SI) 4H–SiC taking into account the properties of defect centres. A comprehensive model that includes the presence of six, the most significant, point defects occurring in SI 4H–SiC crystals is presented. The defect centres are attributed to the two kinds of nitrogen-related shallow donors, a boron-related shallow acceptor, deep electron and hole traps, and the Z1/2 recombination centre. We present the results of the state-of-the-art numerical simulations showing how the photoconductivity transients change in time and how these changes are affected by the properties of defect centres. The properties of defect centres assumed for modelling are compared with the results of experimental studies of deep-level defects in high purity (HP) SI 4H–SiC wafers performed by the high-resolution photoinduced transient spectroscopy (HRPITS). The simulated photoconductivity transients are also compared with the experimental photocurrent transients for the HP SI 4H–SiC wafers with different deep-level defects. It is shown that a high-temperature annealing producing the C-rich material enables the fast photocurrent transients to be achieved. The presented analysis can be useful for technology of SI 4H–SiC high-power photoconductive switches with suitable characteristics.  相似文献

In this work we investigate methods of statistical processing and background fitting of atomic resolution electron energy loss spectrum image (SI) data. Application of principal component analysis to SI data has been analyzed in terms of the spectral signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and was found to improve both the spectral SNR and its standard deviation over the SI, though only the latter was found to improve significantly and consistently across all data sets analyzed. The influence of the number of principal components used in the reconstructed data set on the SNR and resultant elemental maps has been analyzed and the experimental results are compared to theoretical calculations.  相似文献

The structural evolutions of high‐energy (50 MeV) lithium ion (Li3+) irradiated undoped semi‐insulating GaAs (SI‐GaAs) and chromium‐doped SI‐GaAs (GaAs:Cr) were investigated by Raman measurements. It is shown that high‐energy Li3+ irradiation causes amorphization beyond a fluence of 3 × 1013 ions/cm2 in undoped SI‐GaAs. Interestingly, the same fluence of ions does not seem to affect the crystallinity in GaAs:Cr appreciably. The effect of ion irradiation on the change in lattice ordering and anharmonicity of the phonon modes of undoped SI‐GaAs and GaAs:Cr is also compared.
