A modification of the quasi-Monte Carlo method previously suggested by the authors is discussed. This modification is successfully applied to solve integral equations of the second kind thanks to a number of advantages over the quasi-Monte Carlo method. Thus, solving these equations by the quasi-Monte Carlo method requires estimating the sum of a series whose terms are integrals with infinitely increasing constructive dimension. As is known, this is one of the main factors hindering the application of the quasi-Monte Carlo method. Another difficulty is the dominated convergence condition, which ensures the absolute convergence of the series whose sum is to be estimated. The modification under consideration makes it possible to overcome the first difficulty and relax the dominated convergence condition.
Two families of estimates are suggested, which can be applied in the modified algorithm of the quasi-Monte Carlo method. The integral equation
$\phi (x) = \int {k(x,y)\phi (y)\mu (dy) + f(x)(\bmod \mu ),} $
is considered, where xD ? ? s and f and k are given functions defined on the supports of the measures μ and μ ? μ. The values of ? n (x) = ∫k(x, y)?n - 1(y)μ(dy) + f(x)are estimated step by step. The first group of estimates serves to evaluate ? n at a fixed point x’:
$\xi _1 (x') = \frac{1}{N}\sum\limits_{j = 1}^N {\xi _1^n (y_j )} ,where\xi _1^n (y) = \frac{{k(x',y)\hat \phi _{n - 1} (y)}}{{p_{n - 1} (y)}} + f(x'),$
here, the y j are distributed with density p n?1 and \(\hat \phi _{n - 1} (y)\) is the estimate obtained at the preceding step. The other group of estimates makes it possible to evaluate ? n at random points.
Optimal parameters of the estimates are found and the corresponding theorems are proved. The theory has been verified on the example of a difference analogue of the Navier-Stokes equation; experimental results are presented.  相似文献

We study the Hindmarsh–Rose burster which can be described by the differential system = y-x~3+ bx~2+ I-z,  = 1-5 x2~-y, z = μ(s(x-x_0)-z),where b, I, μ, s, x_0 are parameters. We characterize all its invariant algebraic surfaces and all its exponential factors for all values of the parameters. We also characterize its Darboux integrability in function of the parameters. These characterizations allow to study the global dynamics of the system when such invariant algebraic surfaces exist.  相似文献

We consider a bulk charge potential of the form
$$u(x) = \int\limits_\Omega {g(y)F(x - y)dy,x = ({x_1},{x_2},{x_3}) \in {\mathbb{R}^3},} $$
where Ω is a layer of small thickness h > 0 located around the midsurface Σ, which can be either closed or open, and F(x ? y) is a function with a singularity of the form 1/|x ? y|. We prove that, under certain assumptions on the shape of the surface Σ, the kernel F, and the function g at each point x lying on the midsurface Σ (but not on its boundary), the second derivatives of the function u can be represented as
$$\frac{{{\partial ^2}u(x)}}{{\partial {x_i}\partial {x_j}}} = h\int\limits_\Sigma {g(y)\frac{{{\partial ^2}F(x - y)}}{{\partial {x_i}\partial {x_j}}}} dy - {n_i}(x){n_j}(x)g(x) + {\gamma _{ij}}(x),i,j = 1,2,3,$$
where the function γij(x) does not exceed in absolute value a certain quantity of the order of h2, the surface integral is understood in the sense of Hadamard finite value, and the ni(x), i = 1, 2, 3, are the coordinates of the normal vector on the surface Σ at a point x.

We study positive solutions of the following polyharmonic equation with Hardy weights associated to Navier boundary conditions on a half space:?????(-?)~mu(x)=u~p(x)/|x|~s,in R_+~n,u(x)=-?u(x)=…=(-?)~(m-1)u(x)=0,on ?R_+~n,(0.1)where m is any positive integer satisfying 02mn.We first prove that the positive solutions of(0.1)are super polyharmonic,i.e.,(-?)~iu0,i=0,1,...,m-1.(0.2) For α=2m,applying this important property,we establish the equivalence between (0.1) and the integral equation u(x)=c_n∫R_+~n(1/|x-y|~(n-α)-1/|x~*-y|~(n-α))u~p(y)/|y|~sdy,(0.3) where x~*=(x1,...,x_(n-1),-x_n) is the reflection of the point x about the plane R~(n-1).Then,we use the method of moving planes in integral forms to derive rotational symmetry and monotonicity for the positive solution of(0.3),in whichαcan be any real number between 0 and n.By some Pohozaev type identities in integral forms,we prove a Liouville type theorem—the non-existence of positive solutions for(0.1).  相似文献

We establish conditions under which three-dimensional relaxational systems of the form
$$\dot x = f(x,y,\mu ),\varepsilon \dot y = g(x,y),x = (x_1 ,x_2 ) \in \mathbb{R}^2 ,y \in \mathbb{R},$$
where 0 ≤ ε ? 1, |µ| ? 1, and f, gC , exhibit the so-called blue sky catastrophe [the appearance of a stable relaxational cycle whose period and length tend to infinity as µ tends to some critical value µ*(ε), µ*(0) = 0].

This paper is concerned with the following Kirchhoff-type equations:
$$\begin{aligned} \left\{ \begin{array}{ll} \displaystyle -\big (a+b\int _{\mathbb {R}^{3}}|\nabla u|^{2}\mathrm {d}x\big )\Delta u+ V(x)u+\mu \phi |u|^{p-2}u=f(x, u)+g(x,u), &{} \text{ in } \mathbb {R}^{3},\\ (-\Delta )^{\frac{\alpha }{2}} \phi = \mu |u|^{p}, &{} \text{ in } \mathbb {R}^{3},\\ \end{array} \right. \end{aligned}$$
where \(a>0,~b,~\mu \ge 0\) are constants, \(\alpha \in (0,3)\), \(p\in [2,3+2\alpha )\), the potential V(x) may be unbounded from below and \(\phi |u|^{p-2}u\) is a Hartree-type nonlinearity. Under some mild conditions on V(x), f(xu) and g(xu), we prove that the above system has infinitely many nontrivial solutions. Specially, our results cover the general Schrödinger equations, the Kirchhoff equations and the Schrödinger–Poisson system.

This paper is concerned with the existence of positive solutions of the third-order boundary value problem with full nonlinearity
$$\begin{aligned} \left\{ \begin{array}{lll} u'''(t)&{}=f(t,u(t),u'(t),u''(t)),\quad t\in [0,1],\\ u(0)&{}=u'(1)=u''(1)=0, \end{array}\right. \end{aligned}$$
where \(f:[0,1]\times \mathbb {R}^+\times \mathbb {R}^+\times \mathbb {R}^-\rightarrow \mathbb {R}^+\) is continuous. Under some inequality conditions on f as |(xyz)| small or large enough, the existence results of positive solution are obtained. These inequality conditions allow that f(txyz) may be superlinear, sublinear or asymptotically linear on x, y and z as \(|(x,y,z)|\rightarrow 0\) and \(|(x,y,z)|\rightarrow \infty \). For the superlinear case as \(|(x,y,z)|\rightarrow \infty \), a Nagumo-type growth condition is presented to restrict the growth of f on y and z. Our discussion is based on the fixed point index theory in cones.

We present a variation-of-constants formula for functional differential equations of the form
$$\dot y = \mathcal{L}\left( t \right)y_t + f\left( {y_t,t} \right),\;y_{t_0}= \varphi $$
, where \(\mathcal{L}\) is a bounded linear operator and φ is a regulated function. Unlike the result by G. Shanholt (1972), where the functions involved are continuous, the novelty here is that the application t \(t \mapsto f\left( {y_t,t} \right)\) is Kurzweil integrable with t in an interval of ?, for each regulated function y. This means that t \(t \mapsto f\left( {y_t,t} \right)\) may admit not only many discontinuities, but it can also be highly oscillating and yet, we are able to obtain a variation-of-constants formula. Our main goal is achieved via theory of generalized ordinary differential equations introduced by J.Kurzweil (1957). As a matter of fact, we establish a variation-of-constants formula for general linear generalized ordinary differential equations in Banach spaces where the functions involved are Kurzweil integrable. We start by establishing a relation between the solutions of the Cauchy problem for a linear generalized ODE of type
$$\frac{{dx}}{{d\tau }} = D\left[ {A\left( t \right)x} \right],x\left( {{t_0}} \right) = \tilde x$$
and the solutions of the perturbed Cauchy problem
$$\frac{{dx}}{{d\tau }} = D\left[ {A\left( t \right)x + F\left( {x,t} \right)} \right],x\left( {{t_0}} \right) = \tilde x$$
Then we prove that there exists a one-to-one correspondence between a certain class of linear generalized ODE and the Cauchy problem for a linear functional differential equations of the form
$$\dot y = \mathcal{L}\left( t \right)y_t,\;y_{t_0} = \varphi$$
, where \(\mathcal{L}\) is a bounded linear operator and φ is a regulated function. The main result comes as a consequence of such results. Finally, because of the extent of generalized ODEs, we are also able to describe the variation-of-constants formula for both impulsive FDEs and measure neutral FDEs.

This paper is devoted to a substantial generalization of previous work on the analytic hypoellipticity of sums of squares \(P=\sum _1^4X^2_j\) of real vector fields with real analytic coefficient in three variables. For p(xy) quasi-homogeneous in (xy), consider the vector fields
$$\begin{aligned} X_1 = \frac{\partial }{\partial x}, \quad X_2=-\frac{\partial }{\partial y} + p(x,y)\frac{\partial }{\partial t}, \quad X_3=x^{n_1}\frac{\partial }{\partial t}, \quad X_4=y^{n_2}\frac{\partial }{\partial t}, \end{aligned}$$
\( n_1, n_2 \ne 0\). We show that the operator
$$\begin{aligned} P=\sum _1^4 X_j^2, \end{aligned}$$
well known to be \(C^\infty \)-hypoelliptic, is actually analytic hypoelliptic near the origin in \({\mathcal {R}}^3\).

We consider the Schrödinger operator
$$ \text{-} \frac{d^{2}}{d x^{2}} + V {\text{on an interval}}~~[a,b]~{\text{with Dirichlet boundary conditions}},$$
where V is bounded from below and prove a lower bound on the first eigenvalue λ 1 in terms of sublevel estimates: if w V (y) = |{x ∈ [a, b] : V (x) ≤ y}|, then
$$\lambda_{1} \geq \frac{1}{250} \min\limits_{y > \min V}{\left( \frac{1}{w_{V}(y)^{2}} + y\right)}.$$
The result is sharp up to a universal constant if {x ∈ [a, b] : V(x) ≤ y} is an interval for the value of y solving the minimization problem. An immediate application is as follows: let \({\Omega } \subset \mathbb {R}^{2}\) be a convex domain and let \(u:{\Omega } \rightarrow \mathbb {R}\) be the first eigenfunction of the Laplacian ? Δ on Ω with Dirichlet boundary conditions on ?Ω. We prove
$$\| u \|_{L^{\infty}({\Omega})} \lesssim \frac{1}{\text{inrad}({\Omega})} \left( \frac{\text{inrad}({\Omega})}{\text{diam}({\Omega})} \right)^{1/6} \|u\|_{L^{2}({\Omega})},$$
which answers a question of van den Berg in the special case of two dimensions.

Let L(sym j f,s) be the jth symmetric power L-function attached to a holomorphic Hecke eigencuspform f(z) for the full modular group, and \(\lambda_{\mathrm{sym}^{j}f}(n)\) denote its nth coefficient. In this paper we are able to prove that

In this article, we are concerned with the following fractional Schrödinger–Poisson system:
$$\begin{aligned} \left\{ \begin{array}{ll} (-\Delta )^{s}u+V(x)u+\phi u=f(u)&{} \quad \hbox {in}~\mathbb {R}^{3},\\ (-\Delta )^{t}\phi =u^2&{} \quad \hbox {in}~\mathbb {R}^{3},\\ \end{array} \right. \end{aligned}$$
where \(0<s\le t<1\), \(2s+2t>3\), and \(f\in C(\mathbb {R},\mathbb {R})\). Under more relaxed assumptions on potential V(x) and f(x), we obtain the existence of ground state solutions for the above problem by adopting some new tricks. Our results here extend the existing study.

We suggest a new approach to studying the isochronism of the system
${{dx} \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {{dx} {dt}}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} {dt}} = - y + p_n (x,y),{{dy} \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {{dy} {dt}}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} {dt}} = x + q_n (x,y),$
where p n and q n are homogeneous polynomials of degree n. This approach is based on the normal form
${{dX} \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {{dX} {dt}}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} {dt}} = - Y + XS(X,Y),{{dY} \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {{dY} {dt}}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} {dt}} = X + YS(X,Y)$
and its analog in polar coordinates. We prove a theorem on sufficient conditions for the strong isochronism of a center and a focus for the reduced system and obtain examples of centers with strong isochronism of degrees n = 4, 5. The present paper is the first to give examples of foci with strong isochronism for the system in question.

For any x ?? (0, 1], let the series \( {\sum}_{n=1}^{\infty }1/{d}_n(x) \) be the Sylvester expansion of x, where {d j (x),?j?≥?1} is a sequence of positive integers satisfying d1(x)?≥?2 and dj?+?1(x)?≥?d j (x)(d j (x)???1)?+?1 for j?≥?1. Suppose ? : ? → ?+ is a function satisfying ?(n+1) – ? (n) → ∞ as n → ∞. In this paper, we consider the set
$$ E\left(\phi \right)=\left\{x\kern0.5em \in \left(0,1\right]:\kern0.5em \underset{n\to \infty }{\lim}\frac{\log {d}_n(x)-{\sum}_{j=1}^{n-1}\log {d}_j(x)}{\phi (n)}=1\right\} $$
and quantify the size of the set in the sense of Hausdorff dimension. We consider some class of non-linear systems of the form
$\dot x = A( \cdot )x + \sum\limits_{i = 1}^l {A_i ( \cdot )x(t - \tau _i (t)) + b( \cdot )u} ,$
where A(·) ∈ ? n × n , A i (·) ∈ ? n × n , b(·) ∈ ? n , whose coefficients are arbitrary uniformly bounded functionals.
A special type of the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional is used to synthesize dynamic control described by the equation
$\dot u = \rho ( \cdot )u + (m( \cdot ),x),$
where ρ(·) ∈ ?1, m(·) ∈ ? n , which makes the system globally asymptotically stable. Also, the situation is considered where the control u enters into the system not directly but through a pulse element performing an amplitude-frequency modulation.
