A novel anode material for lithium-ion batteries, tin nanoparticles coated with carbon embedded in graphene (Sn@C/graphene), was fabricated by hydrothermal synthesis and subsequent annealing. The structure and morphology of the nanocomposite were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and transmission electron microscopy. The size of the Sn@C nanoparticles is about 50-200 nm. The reversible specific capacity of the nanocomposite is ∼662 mAh g−1 at a specific current of 100 mA g−1 after 100 cycles, even ∼417 mAh g−1 at the high current of 1000 mA g−1. These results indicate that Sn@C/graphene possesses superior cycle performance and high rate capability. The enhanced electrochemical performances can be ascribed to the characteristic structure of the nanocomposite with both of the graphene and carbon shells, which buffer the volume change of the metallic tin and prevent the detachment and agglomeration of pulverized tin.  相似文献

Silicon is being investigated extensively as an anodic material for next-generation lithium ion batteries for portable energy storage and electric vehicles. However, the large changes in volume during cycling lead to the breakdown of the conductive network in Si anodes and the formation of an unstable solid-electrolyte interface, resulting in capacity fading. Here,we demonstrate nanoparticles with a Si@Mn_(22.6)Si_(5.4)C_4@C double-shell structure and the formation of self-organized Si-Mn-C nanocomposite anodes during the lithiation/delithiation process. The anode consists of amorphous Si particles less than 10 nm in diameter and separated by an interconnected conductive/buffer network, which exhibits excellent charge transfer kinetics and charge/discharge performances.A stable specific capacity of 1100 mAh·g~(-1) at 100 mA·g~(-1) and a coulombic efficiency of 99.2%after 30 cycles are achieved.Additionally,a rate capacity of 343 mAh·g~(-1) and a coulombic efficiency of 99.4%at 12000 mA·g~(-1) are also attainable.Owing to its simplicity and applicability, this strategy for improving electrode performance paves a way for the development of high-performance Si-based anodic materials for lithium ion batteries.  相似文献

Mesophase pitch (MP)/exfoliated graphite nanoplatelets (GNPs) nanocomposite has been prepared by an efficient method with an initiation of graphite intercalation compounds (GIC). X-ray diffraction, optical microscopy, high-resolution transmission electron microscopy and scanning electron microscopy analysis techniques are used to characterize the samples. It is observed that GIC has exfoliated completely into GNPs during the formation of MP/GNPs nanocomposite and the GNPs are distributed uniformly in MP matrix, which represent a conductive path for a movement of electrons throughout the composites. Electrochemical tests demonstrate that the carbonized MP/GNPs nanocomposite displays higher capacity and better cycle performance in comparison with the pure carbonized MP. It is concluded that such a large improvement of electrochemical performance within the nanocomposite may in general be related to the enhanced electronic conductivity, which is achieved by good dispersion of GNPs within MP matrix and formation of a 3D network of GNPs.  相似文献

Nanosized anatase titanium dioxide loaded porous carbon nanofibers (TiO2/PCNFs) were prepared from electrospun TiO(OAc)2/PAN/PMMA composite precursor fibers with different amount of PMMA porogen, which were sequentially heat-treated in different environments. Electrochemical measurement results show that these as-prepared TiO2/PCNFs present higher cyclic reversible capacity than the TiO2/CNFs counterpart (without PMMA porogen in its precursor fibers). Among the as-prepared TiO2/PCNFs samples, the representative TiO2/PCNFs (the mass ratio of PAN to PMMA is 3:1) exhibits the best high-rate performance with a high stable capacity retention about 200 mAhg− 1 at a current density as high as 800 mAg− 1. This novel TiO2/PCNFs composite material opens up a promising application in high-power lithium-ion batteries.  相似文献

In this work, porous NiO microspheres interconnected by carbon nanotubes (NiO/CNTs) were successfully fabricated by the pyrolysis of nickel metal-organic framework precursors with CNTs and evaluated as anode materials for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs). The structures, morphologies, and electrochemical performances of the samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction, N2 adsorption-desorption, field emission scanning electron microscopy, cyclic voltammetry, galvanostatic charge/discharge tests, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, respectively. The results show that the introduction of CNTs can improve the lithium-ion storage performance of NiO/CNT composites. Especially, NiO/CNTs-10 exhibits the highest reversible capacity of 812 mAh g?1 at 100 mA g?1 after 100 cycles. Even cycled at 2 A g?1, it still maintains a stable capacity of 502 mAh g?1 after 300 cycles. The excellent electrochemical performance of NiO/CNT composites should be attributed to the formation of 3D conductive network structure with porous NiO microspheres linked by CNTs, which benefits the electron transfer ability and the buffering of the volume expansion during the cycling process.  相似文献

A novel Cu-SnO2 anode material derived from Cu6Sn5 alloy, retaining high conductivity of Cu and high theoretical capacity of SnO2 with a facile synthesizing process by oxidation and reduction method. The novel Cu structure penetrates in the composite particles inducing high conductivity and spaceconfined SnO2, which restrict the pulverization of SnO2 during lithiation/delithiation process.  相似文献

A novel anode material, LiNb3O8, whose theoretical capacity is 389 mAh/g assuming two-electron transfers (Nb5+ → Nb3+), was prepared by a solid state reaction. It was found that only 3.8 Li per unit formula can be inserted into the as-prepared micro-sized sample. However, when the sample was ball-milled with acetylene black to form a mixed conducting network, 5.4 Li can be inserted in the same voltage range and 2.8 Li (180 mAh/g) can be reversibly extracted after 50 cycles.  相似文献

A three-dimensional few-layer reduced graphene oxide-wrapped mesoporous Li4Ti5O12 (m-LTO@FLRGO) electrode is produced using a simple solution fabrication process. When tested as an anode for Liion batteries, the m-LTO@FL-RGO composite exhibits excellent rate capability and superior cycle life. The capacity of m-LTO@FL-RGO reaches 165.4 mA h g-1 after 100 cycles between 1 and 2.5 V at a rate of 1 C. Even at a rate of 30 C, a high discharge capacity of 115.1 mA h g-1 is still obtained, which is three times higher than the pristine mesoporous Li4Ti5O12 (m-LTO). The graphene nanosheets are incorporated into the m-LTO microspheres homogenously, which provide a high conductive network for electron transportation.  相似文献

An in situ chemical synthesis approach has been developed to prepare SnO2–graphene nanocomposite. Field emission scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy observation revealed the homogeneous distribution of SnO2 nanoparticles (4–6 nm in size) on graphene matrix. The electrochemical reactivities of the SnO2–graphene nanocomposite as anode material were measured by cyclic voltammetry and galvanostatic charge/discharge cycling. The as-synthesized SnO2–graphene nanocomposite exhibited a reversible lithium storage capacity of 765 mAh/g in the first cycle and an enhanced cyclability, which can be ascribed to 3D architecture of the SnO2–graphene nanocomposite.  相似文献

A facile and straightforward method was adopted to synthesize ZnCo2O4/graphene nanocomposite anode. In the first step, pure ZnCo2O4 nanoparticles were synthesized using urea-assisted auto-combustion synthesis followed by annealing at a low temperature of 400 °C. In the second step, in order to synthesize ZnCo2O4/graphene nanocomposite, the obtained pure ZnCo2O4 nanoparticles were milled with 10 wt% reduced graphene nanosheets using high energy spex mill for 30 s. The ZnCo2O4 nanoparticles, with particle sizes of 25–50 nm, were uniformly dispersed and anchored on the reduced graphene nanosheets. Compared with pure ZnCo2O4 nanoparticles anode, significant improvements in the electrochemical performance of the nanocomposite anode were obtained. The resulting nanocomposite delivered a reversible capacity of 1124.8 mAh g−1 at 0.1 C after 90 cycles with 98% Coulombic efficiency and high rate capability of 515.9 mAh g−1 at 4.5 C, thus exhibiting one of the best lithium storage properties among the reported ZnCo2O4 anodes. The significant enhancement of the electrochemical performance of the nanocomposite anode could be credited to the strong synergy between ZnCo2O4 and graphene nanosheets, which maintain excellent electronic contact and accommodate the large volume changes during the lithiation/delithiation process.  相似文献

Fe-based compounds with good environmental friendliness and high reversible capacity have attracted considerable attention as anode for lithium-ion batteries. But,similar to other transition metal oxides(TMOs),it is also affected by large volume changes and inferior kinetics during redox reactions, resulting in the destruction of the crystal structure and poor electrochemical performance.Here,Fe_3O_4/C nanospheres anchored on the two-dimensional graphene oxide as precursors are phosphated and sintered to build the multiphasic nanocomposite.XRD results confirmed the multiphasic nanocomposite composed of Fe_2O_3,Fe_3O_4 and Fe_3PO_7,which will facilitate the Li~+ diffusion. And the carbonaceous matrix will buffer the volume changes and enhance electron conduction.Consequently, the multiphasic Febased anode delivers a large specific capacity of 1086 mAh/g with a high initial Coulombic efficiency of 87% at 0.1 C.It also has excellent cycling stability and rate property, maintaining a capacity retention of~87% after 300 cycles and a high reversible capacity of 632 mAh/g at 10 C.The proposed multiphasic structure offers a new insight into improving the electrochemical properties of TMO-based anodes for advanced alkali-ion batteries.  相似文献

Transition metal oxides with high capacity are considered a promising electrode material for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs). Nevertheless, the huge volume expansion and poor conductivity severely hamper their practical application. In this work, a carbon riveting method is reported to address the above issues by designing multilayered N-doped carbon (N-carbon) enveloped Fe3O4/graphene nanosheets. When evaluated as a negative electrode, the N-carbon/Fe3O4/graphene nanocomposites demonstrate greatly enhanced electrochemical properties compared with Fe3O4/graphene. The N-carbon/Fe3O4/graphene presents a superior reversible capacity (807 mAh/g) over Fe3O4/graphene (540 mAh/g). Furthermore, it affords a considerable capacity of 550 mAh/g at 1 A/g over 700 cycles, indicating superb cycling stability. The structure-property correlation studies reveal that the carbon riveting layer is essential for enhancing the lithium diffusion kinetics. The good electrochemical properties and effective structure design make the carbon riveting strategy quite general and reliable to manipulate high performance electrodes for future LIBs.  相似文献

The research of borate materials as sodium-ion batteries (SIBs) anode is still in the early stages, but the boron polyoxoanions are attracting intense interest due to their low atomic weight and high electronegative features. In this work, FeBO3 was prepared with low-cost raw materials and evaluated as SIBs anode. The FeBO3 shows a high reversible capacity of 328 mAh/g at the current density of 0.4 A/g. In addition, the electrochemical performance of FeBO3 can be improved by carbon coating. The prepared carbon-coated FeBO3 composite has a reversible capacity of 426 mAh/g (at 0.4 A/g) and an outstanding rate capability of 272 mAh/g (at 1.6 A/g). Furthermore, the sodium storage mechanism of FeBO3 was studied by in-situ XRD and ex-situ XPS.  相似文献

A cobalt-poor or iron rich bicomponent mixture of Co0.9Fe2.1O4/Fe2O3 and Co0.8Fe2.2O4/Fe2O3 anode materials have been successfully prepared using simple, cost-effective, and scalable urea-assisted auto-combustion synthesis. The threshold limit of lower cobalt stoichiometry in CoFe2O4 that leads to impressive electrochemical performance was identified. The electrochemical performance shows that the Co0.9Fe2.1O4/Fe2O3 electrode exhibits high capacity and rate capability in comparison to a Co0.8Fe2.2O4/Fe2O3 electrode, and the obtained data is comparable with that reported for cobalt-rich CoFe2O4. The better rate performance of the Co0.9Fe2.1O4/Fe2O3 electrode is ascribed to its unique stoichiometry, which intimately prefers the combination of Fe2O3 with Co1−xFe2+xO4 and the high electrical conductivity. Further, the high reversible capacity in Co0.9Fe2.1O4/Fe2O3 and Co0.8Fe2.2O4/Fe2O3 electrodes is most likely attributed to the synergistic electrochemical activity of both the nanostructured materials (Co1−xFe2+xO4 and Fe2O3), reaching beyond the well-established mechanisms of charge storage in these two phases.  相似文献
