In models with colored particle \(\mathcal {Q}\) that can decay into a dark matter candidate X, the relevant collider process \(pp\rightarrow \mathcal {Q}\bar{\mathcal {Q}}\rightarrow X\bar{X}\,+\,\)jets gives rise to events with significant transverse momentum imbalance. When the masses of \(\mathcal {Q}\) and X are very close, the relevant signature becomes monojet-like, and Large Hadron Collider (LHC) search limits become much less constraining. In this paper, we study the current and anticipated experimental sensitivity to such particles at the High-Luminosity LHC at \(\sqrt{s}=14\) TeV with \(\mathcal {L}=3\) ab\(^{-1}\) of data and the proposed High-Energy LHC at \(\sqrt{s}=27\) TeV with \(\mathcal {L}=15\) ab\(^{-1}\) of data. We estimate the reach for various Lorentz and QCD color representations of \(\mathcal {Q}\). Identifying the nature of \(\mathcal {Q}\) is very important to understanding the physics behind the monojet signature. Therefore, we also study the dependence of the observables built from the \(pp\rightarrow \mathcal {Q}\bar{\mathcal {Q}} + j \) process on \(\mathcal {Q}\) itself. Using the state-of-the-art Monte Carlo suites MadGraph5_aMC@NLO+Pythia8 and Sherpa, we find that when these observables are calculated at NLO in QCD with parton shower matching and multijet merging, the residual theoretical uncertainties are comparable to differences observed when varying the quantum numbers of \(\mathcal {Q}\) itself. We find, however, that the precision achievable with NNLO calculations, where available, can resolve this dilemma.  相似文献

Let \(\mathcal {M}\) be a von Neumann algebra of operators on a Hilbert space \(\mathcal {H}\), τ be a faithful normal semifinite trace on \(\mathcal {M}\). We obtain some new inequalities for rearrangements of τ-measurable operators products. We also establish some sufficient τ-compactness conditions for products of selfadjoint τ-measurable operators. Next we obtain a τ-compactness criterion for product of a nonnegative τ-measurable operator with an arbitrary τ-measurable operator. We construct an example that shows importance of nonnegativity for one of the factors. The similar results are obtained also for elementary operators from \(\mathcal {M}\). We apply our results to symmetric spaces on \((\mathcal {M}, \tau )\). The results are new even for the *-algebra \(\mathcal {B}(\mathcal {H})\) of all linear bounded operators on \(\mathcal {H}\) endowed with the canonical trace τ = tr.  相似文献

We show in the present paper that pseudo-Hermitian Hamiltonian systems with even \(\mathcal {P}\mathcal {T}\)-symmetry \((\mathcal {P}^{2}=1,\mathcal {T}^{2}=1)\) admit a degeneracy structure. This kind of degeneracy is expected traditionally in the odd \(\mathcal {P}\mathcal {T}\)-symmetric systems \((\mathcal {P}^{2}=1,\mathcal {T}^{2}=-1)\) which is appropriate to the fermions (Scolarici and Solombrino, Phys. Lett. A 303, 239 2002; Jones-Smith and Mathur, Phys. Rev. A 82, 042101 2010). We establish that the pseudo-Hermitian Hamiltonians with even \(\mathcal {P}\mathcal {T}\)-symmetry admit a degeneracy structure if the operator \(\mathcal {PT}\) anticommutes with the metric operator η σ which is necessarily indefinite. We also show that the Krein space formulation of the Hilbert space is the convenient framework for the implementation of unbroken \(\mathcal {P}\mathcal {T}\)-symmetry. These general results are illustrated with great details for four-level pseudo-Hermitian Hamiltonian with even \(\mathcal {P}\mathcal {T}\) -symmetry.  相似文献

By including the interference effect between the QCD and the QED diagrams, we carry out a complete analysis on the exclusive productions of \(e^+e^- \rightarrow J/\psi +\chi _{cJ}\) (\(J=0,1,2\)) at the B factories with \(\sqrt{s}=10.6\) GeV at the next-to-leading-order (NLO) level in \(\alpha _s\), within the nonrelativistic QCD framework. It is found that the \({\mathcal {O}} (\alpha ^3\alpha _s)\)-order terms that represent the tree-level interference are comparable with the usual NLO QCD corrections, especially for the \(\chi _{c1}\) and \(\chi _{c2}\) cases. To explore the effect of the higher-order terms, namely \({\mathcal {O}} (\alpha ^3\alpha _s^2)\), we perform the QCD corrections to these \({\mathcal {O}} (\alpha ^3\alpha _s)\)-order terms for the first time, which are found to be able to significantly influence the \({\mathcal {O}} (\alpha ^3\alpha _s)\)-order results. In particular, in the case of \(\chi _{c1}\) and \(\chi _{c2}\), the newly calculated \({\mathcal {O}} (\alpha ^3\alpha _s^2)\)-order terms can to a large extent counteract the \({\mathcal {O}} (\alpha ^3\alpha _s)\) contributions, evidently indicating the indispensability of the corrections. In addition, we find that, as the collision energy rises, the percentage of the interference effect in the total cross section will increase rapidly, especially for the \(\chi _{c1}\) case.  相似文献

The \(B\rightarrow D\) transition form factor (TFF) \(f^{B\rightarrow D}_+(q^2)\) is determined mainly by the D-meson leading-twist distribution amplitude (DA) , \(\phi _{2;D}\), if the proper chiral current correlation function is adopted within the light-cone QCD sum rules. It is therefore significant to make a comprehensive study of DA \(\phi _{2;D}\) and its impact on \(f^{B\rightarrow D}_+(q^2)\). In this paper, we calculate the moments of \(\phi _{2;D}\) with the QCD sum rules under the framework of the background field theory. New sum rules for the leading-twist DA moments \(\left\langle \xi ^n\right\rangle _D\) up to fourth order and up to dimension-six condensates are presented. At the scale \(\mu = 2 \,\mathrm{GeV}\), the values of the first four moments are: \(\left\langle \xi ^1\right\rangle _D = -0.418^{+0.021}_{-0.022}\), \(\left\langle \xi ^2\right\rangle _D = 0.289^{+0.023}_{-0.022}\), \(\left\langle \xi ^3\right\rangle _D = -0.178 \pm 0.010\) and \(\left\langle \xi ^4\right\rangle _D = 0.142^{+0.013}_{-0.012}\). Basing on the values of \(\left\langle \xi ^n\right\rangle _D(n=1,2,3,4)\), a better model of \(\phi _{2;D}\) is constructed. Applying this model for the TFF \(f^{B\rightarrow D}_+(q^2)\) under the light cone sum rules, we obtain \(f^{B\rightarrow D}_+(0) = 0.673^{+0.038}_{-0.041}\) and \(f^{B\rightarrow D}_+(q^2_{\mathrm{max}}) = 1.117^{+0.051}_{-0.054}\). The uncertainty of \(f^{B\rightarrow D}_+(q^2)\) from \(\phi _{2;D}\) is estimated and we find its impact should be taken into account, especially in low and central energy region. The branching ratio \(\mathcal {B}(B\rightarrow Dl\bar{\nu }_l)\) is calculated, which is consistent with experimental data.  相似文献

If \(\mathcal{F}\) is a set of subgraphs F of a finite graph E we define a graph-counting polynomial \(p_\mathcal{F}(z)=\sum _{F\in \mathcal{F}}z^{|F|}\) In the present note we consider oriented graphs and discuss some cases where \(\mathcal{F}\) consists of unbranched subgraphs E. We find several situations where something can be said about the location of the zeros of \(p_\mathcal{F}\).  相似文献

We study frame properties of a matrix-valued wave packet system in the matrix-valued function space \(L^{2}(\mathbb {R}^{d}, \mathbb {C}^{s\times r})\), where the lower frame condition is controlled by a bounded linear operator \(\mathcal {K}\) on \(L^{2}(\mathbb {R}^{d}, \mathbb {C}^{s\times r})\) (lower \(\mathcal {K}\)-frame condition, in short). There are many differences between ordinary frames and \(\mathcal {K}\)-frames. The lower \(\mathcal {K}\)-frame condition for matrix-valued wave packet Bessel sequences in \(L^{2}(\mathbb {R}^{d},\mathbb {C}^{s\times r})\) in terms of operators; a trace functional associated with a bounded linear operator on \(L^{2}(\mathbb {R}^{d}, \mathbb {C}^{s\times r})\); and a series associated with a matrix-valued Bessel sequence is presented. It is shown that matrix-valued wave packet frames are stable under small perturbation with respect to wave packet window functions.  相似文献

The parafermionic cosets \(\mathsf {C}_{k} = {\text {Com}} ( \mathsf {H} , \mathsf {L}_{k}(\mathfrak {sl}_{2}) )\) are studied for negative admissible levels k, as are certain infinite-order simple current extensions \(\mathsf {B}_{k}\) of \(\mathsf {C}_{k}\). Under the assumption that the tensor theory considerations of Huang, Lepowsky and Zhang apply to \(\mathsf {C}_{k}\), irreducible \(\mathsf {C}_{k}\)- and \(\mathsf {B}_{k}\)-modules are obtained from those of \(\mathsf {L}_{k}(\mathfrak {sl}_{2})\). Assuming the validity of a certain Verlinde-type formula likewise gives the Grothendieck fusion rules of these irreducible modules. Notably, there are only finitely many irreducible \(\mathsf {B}_{k}\)-modules. The irreducible \(\mathsf {C}_{k}\)- and \(\mathsf {B}_{k}\)-characters are computed and the latter are shown, when supplemented by pseudotraces, to carry a finite-dimensional representation of the modular group. The natural conjecture then is that the \(\mathsf {B}_{k}\) are \(C_2\)-cofinite vertex operator algebras.  相似文献

We explore the breaking effects of the SU(3) flavor symmetry in the singly Cabibbo-suppressed anti-triplet charmed baryon decays of \(\mathbf{B}_c\rightarrow \mathbf{B}_n M\), with \(\mathbf{B}_c=(\Xi _c^0,\Xi _c^+,\Lambda _c^+)\) and \(\mathbf{B}_n(M)\) the baryon (pseudo-scalar) octets. We find that these breaking effects can be used to account for the experimental data on the decay branching ratios of \({\mathcal {B}}(\Lambda _c^+\rightarrow \Sigma ^{0} K^{+},\Lambda ^{0} K^{+})\) and \(R'_{K/\pi }={\mathcal {B}}(\Xi ^0_c \rightarrow \Xi ^- K^+)\)/\({\mathcal {B}}(\Xi ^0_c \rightarrow \Xi ^- \pi ^+)\). In addition, we obtain that \({\mathcal {B}}(\Xi _{c}^{0} \rightarrow \Xi ^{-} K^{+},\Sigma ^{-} \pi ^{+})=(4.6 \pm 1.7,12.8 \pm 3.1)\times 10^{-4}\), \({\mathcal {B}}(\Xi _c^0\rightarrow pK^-,\Sigma ^+\pi ^-)=(3.0 \pm 1.0, 5.2 \pm 1.6)\times 10^{-4}\) and \({\mathcal {B}}(\Xi _c^+\rightarrow \Sigma ^{0(+)} \pi ^{+(0)})=(10.3 \pm 1.7)\times 10^{-4}\), which all receive significant contributions from the breaking effects, and can be tested by the BESIII and LHCb experiments.  相似文献

We present a new scale \(\mathcal {U}^{t,s}_p\) (\(s<-t<0\) and \(1\le p <\infty \)) of anisotropic Banach spaces, defined via Paley–Littlewood, on which the transfer operator \(\mathcal {L}_g \varphi = (g \cdot \varphi ) \circ T^{-1}\) associated to a hyperbolic dynamical system T has good spectral properties. When \(p=1\) and t is an integer, the spaces are analogous to the “geometric” spaces \(\mathcal {B}^{t,|s+t|}\) considered by Gouëzel and Liverani (Ergod Theory Dyn Syst 26:189–217, 2006). When \(p>1\) and \(-1+1/p<s<-t<0<t<1/p\), the spaces are somewhat analogous to the geometric spaces considered by Demers and Liverani (Trans Am Math Soc 360:4777–4814, 2008). In addition, just like for the “microlocal” spaces defined by Baladi and Tsujii (Ann Inst Fourier 57:127–154, 2007) (or Faure–Roy–Sjöstrand in Open Math J 1:35–81, 2008), the transfer operator acting on \(\mathcal {U}^{t,s}_p\) can be decomposed into \(\mathcal {L}_{g,b}+\mathcal {L}_{g,c}\), where \(\mathcal {L}_{g,b}\) has a controlled norm while a suitable power of \(\mathcal {L}_{g,c}\) is nuclear. This “nuclear power decomposition” enhances the Lasota–Yorke bounds and makes the spaces \(\mathcal {U}^{t,s}_p\) amenable to the kneading approach of Milnor–Thurson (Dynamical Systems (Maryland 1986–1987), Springer, Berlin, 1988) (as revisited by Baladi–Ruelle, Baladi in Dynamical Zeta Functions and Dynamical Determinants for Hyperbolic Maps, Monograph, 2016; Baladi and Ruelle in Ergod Theory Dyn Syst 14:621–632, 1994; Baladi and Ruelle in Invent Math 123:553–574, 1996) to study dynamical determinants and zeta functions.  相似文献

The first-principle density functional theory (DFT) calculations were employed to investigate the electronic structures, magnetic properties and half-metallicity of \(\text {Ti}_{2}\text {IrZ}\) (Z \(=\) B, Al, Ga, and In) Heusler alloys with \(\text {AlCu}_{2}\text {Mn}\)- and \(\text {CuHg}_{2}\text {Ti}\)-type structures within local density approximation and generalised gradient approximation for the exchange correlation potential. It was found that \(\text {CuHg}_{2}\text {Ti}\)-type structure in ferromagnetic state was energetically more favourable than \(\text {AlCu}_{2}\text {Mn}\)-type structure in all compounds except \(\text {Ti}_{2}\text {IrB}\) which was stable in \(\text {AlCu}_{2}\text {Mn}\)-type structure in non-magnetic state. \(\text {Ti}_{2}\text {IrZ}\) (Z \(=\) B, Al, Ga, and In) alloys in \(\text {CuHg}_{2}\text {Ti}\)-type structure were half-metallic ferromagnets at their equilibrium lattice constants. Half-metallic band gaps were respectively equal to 0.87, 0.79, 0.75, and 0.73 eV for \(\text {Ti}_{2}\text {IrB}\), \(\text {Ti}_{2}\text {IrAl}\), \(\text {Ti}_{2}\text {IrGa}\), and \(\text {Ti}_{2}\text {IrIn}\). The origin of half-metallicity was discussed for \(\text {Ti}_{2}\text {IrGa}\) using the energy band structure. The total magnetic moments of \(\text {Ti}_{2}\text {IrZ}\) (Z \(=\) B, Al, Ga, and In) compounds in \(\text {CuHg}_{2}\text {Ti}\)-type structure were obtained as \(2\mu _{\mathrm{B}}\) per formula unit, which were in agreement with Slater–Pauling rule (\(M_{\mathrm{tot}} =Z_{\mathrm{tot}}-\)18). All the four compounds were half-metals in a wide range of lattice constants indicating that they may be suitable and promising materials for future spintronic applications.  相似文献

Consider the following coverage model on \(\mathbb {N}\), for each site \(i \in \mathbb {N}\) associate a pair \((\xi _i, R_i)\) where \((\xi _i)_{i \ge 0}\) is a 1-dimensional undelayed discrete renewal point process and \((R_i)_{i \ge 0}\) is an i.i.d. sequence of \(\mathbb {N}\)-valued random variables. At each site where \(\xi _i=1\) start an interval of length \(R_i\). Coverage occurs if every site of \(\mathbb {N}\) is covered by some interval. We obtain sharp conditions for both, positive and null probability of coverage. As corollaries, we extend results of the literature of rumor processes and discrete one-dimensional Boolean percolation.  相似文献

The CUPID-0 experiment searches for double beta decay using cryogenic calorimeters with double (heat and light) read-out. The detector, consisting of 24 ZnSe crystals 95\(\%\) enriched in \(^{82}\)Se and two natural ZnSe crystals, started data-taking in 2017 at Laboratori Nazionali del Gran Sasso. We present the search for the neutrino-less double beta decay of \(^{82}\)Se into the 0\(_1^+\), 2\(_1^+\) and 2\(_2^+\) excited states of \(^{82}\)Kr with an exposure of 5.74 kg\(\cdot \)yr (2.24\(\times \)10\(^{25}\) emitters\(\cdot \)yr). We found no evidence of the decays and set the most stringent limits on the widths of these processes: \(\varGamma \)(\(^{82}\)Se \(\rightarrow ^{82}\)Kr\(_{0_1^+}\))8.55\(\times \)10\(^{-24}\) yr\(^{-1}\), \(\varGamma \) (\(^{82}\) Se \(\rightarrow ^{82}\) Kr \(_{2_1^+}\))\(\,{<}\,6.25 \,{\times }\,10^{-24}\) yr\(^{-1}\), \(\varGamma \)(\(^{82}\)Se \(\rightarrow ^{82}\)Kr\(_{2_2^+}\))8.25\(\times \)10\(^{-24}\) yr\(^{-1}\) (90\(\%\) credible interval).  相似文献

Starting from the pseudo-\({\mathcal {B}}_0\) gauge solution for marginal deformations in OSFT, we analytically compute the relation between the perturbative deformation parameter \(\tilde{\lambda }\) in the solution and the BCFT marginal parameter \(\lambda \), up to fifth order, by evaluating the Ellwood invariants. We observe that the microscopic reason why \(\tilde{\lambda }\) and \(\lambda \) are different is that the OSFT propagator renormalizes contact-term divergences differently from the contour deformation used in BCFT.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the thermodynamics and Hawking radiation of Schwarzschild black hole with quintessence-like matter and deficit solid angle. From the metric of the black hole, we derive the expressions of temperature and specific heat using the laws of black hole thermodynamics. Using the null geodesics method and Parikh–Wilczeck tunneling method, we derive the expressions of Boltzmann factor and the change of Bekenstein–Hawking entropy for the black hole. The behaviors of the temperature, specific heat, Boltzmann factor and the change of Bekenstein entropy versus the deficit solid angle (\(\epsilon ^{2}\)) and the density of static spherically symmetric quintessence-like matter (\(\rho _{0}\)) were explicitly plotted. The results show that, when the deficit solid angle (\(\epsilon ^{2}\)) and the density of static spherically symmetric quintessence-like matter at \(r=1\) (\(\rho _{0}\)) vanish \((\rho _{0}=\epsilon =0)\), these four thermodynamics quantities are reduced to those obtained for the simple case of Schwarzschild black hole. For low entropies, the presence of quintessence-like matter induces a first order phase transition of the black hole and for the higher values of the entropies, we observe the second order phase transition. When increasing \(\rho _{0}\), the transition points are shifted to lower entropies. The same thing is observed when increasing \(\epsilon ^{2}\). In the absence of quintessence-like matter (\(\rho _{0}=0\)), these transition phenomena disappear. Moreover the rate of radiation decreases when increasing \(\rho _{0}\) or \((\epsilon ^2)\).  相似文献

We computed the leading order Wilson coefficients relevant to all the exclusive \(b\rightarrow s\ell ^+\ell ^-\) decays in the framework of the two Higgs doublet model (2HDM) with a softly broken \(\mathbb {Z}_2\) symmetry by including the \(\mathcal {O}(m_b)\) corrections. We elucidate the issue of appropriate matching between the full and the effective theory when dealing with the (pseudo-)scalar operators for which keeping the external momenta different from zero is necessary. We then make a phenomenological analysis by using the measured \({\mathcal {B}}(B_s\rightarrow \mu ^+\mu ^-)\) and \({\mathcal {B}}(B\rightarrow K \mu ^+\mu ^-)_{\mathrm {high}-q^2}\), for which the hadronic uncertainties are well controlled, and we discuss their impact on various types of 2HDM. A brief discussion of the decays with \(\tau \)-leptons in the final state is provided too.  相似文献

In 2002, two neutrino mixing ansatze having trimaximally mixed middle (\(\nu _2\)) columns, namely tri-chi-maximal mixing (\(\text {T}\chi \text {M}\)) and tri-phi-maximal mixing (\(\text {T}\phi \text {M}\)), were proposed. In 2012, it was shown that \(\text {T}\chi \text {M}\) with \(\chi =\pm \,\frac{\pi }{16}\) as well as \(\text {T}\phi \text {M}\) with \(\phi = \pm \,\frac{\pi }{16}\) leads to the solution, \(\sin ^2 \theta _{13} = \frac{2}{3} \sin ^2 \frac{\pi }{16}\), consistent with the latest measurements of the reactor mixing angle, \(\theta _{13}\). To obtain \(\text {T}\chi \text {M}_{(\chi =\pm \,\frac{\pi }{16})}\) and \(\text {T}\phi \text {M}_{(\phi =\pm \,\frac{\pi }{16})}\), the type I see-saw framework with fully constrained Majorana neutrino mass matrices was utilised. These mass matrices also resulted in the neutrino mass ratios, \(m_1:m_2:m_3=\frac{\left( 2+\sqrt{2}\right) }{1+\sqrt{2(2+\sqrt{2})}}:1:\frac{\left( 2+\sqrt{2}\right) }{-1+\sqrt{2(2+\sqrt{2})}}\). In this paper we construct a flavour model based on the discrete group \(\varSigma (72\times 3)\) and obtain the aforementioned results. A Majorana neutrino mass matrix (a symmetric \(3\times 3\) matrix with six complex degrees of freedom) is conveniently mapped into a flavon field transforming as the complex six-dimensional representation of \(\varSigma (72\times 3)\). Specific vacuum alignments of the flavons are used to arrive at the desired mass matrices.  相似文献

Photoreflectance spectra have been measured on the chalcopyrite semiconductor silver indium disulfide (\(\hbox {AgInS}_{2}\)) for light polarization \({\varvec{E}}\) perpendicular (\({\varvec{E}} \bot {c}\)) and parallel to the c-axis (\({\varvec{E}} \vert \vert {c}\)) at temperature between 10 and 300 K. The measured photoreflectance spectra revealed distinct structures at 1.8–2.1 eV. The lowest bandgap energies \(E_{0A}\), \(E_{0B}\), and \(E_{0C}\) of \(\hbox {AgInS}_{2}\) show unusual temperature dependence at low temperatures (\(\le\)140 K). The \(E_{0\alpha }\) (\(\alpha =A, B, C\)) is found to increase with increasing temperature from 10 to \(\sim\)140 K and decreases with a further increase in temperature. This result has been successfully explained by taking into account the effects of thermal expansion and electron–phonon interaction. The spin–orbit and crystal-field splitting parameters of \(\hbox {AgInS}_{2}\) are determined to be \(\Delta _{{\mathrm{so}}}=38\) meV and \(\Delta _{{\mathrm{cr}}}=-168\) meV at T = 10 K, respectively, and are discussed from an aspect of the electronic energy band structure consequences. The temperature dependence of spin–orbit and crystal-field splitting parameters of \(\hbox {AgInS}_{2}\) was also presented.  相似文献
