We have examined the effect of Nb addition on the thermal stability of the supercooled liquid before crystallization, the glass-forming ability and magnetic properties for the amorphous alloy series Fe73NbxAl5-xGe2P10C6B4 and Fe63Co7NbxZr10-xB20. The supercooled liquid regions (ΔTx=Tx-Tg) have maximum values of 66 and 79K, respectively, for Fe73Nb1Al4Ge2P10C6B4 and Fe63Co7Nb4Zr6B20 alloys. The saturation magnetization σs of the Fe73NbxAl5-xGe2P10C6B4 alloy system is much higher than that of the Fe63Co7NbxZr10-xB20 alloy system, and is almost unchanged with an increasing Nb content from 0 to 3 at%. But the σs of the Fe63Co7NbxZr10-xB20 alloys decreases linearly with increasing Nb content. The coercive force Hc of the two alloy series can have a minimum value of 31A/m for Fe73Nb1Al4Ge2P10C6B4 and 37A/m for Fe63Co7Nb4Zr6B20. All these values are for the ribbons annealed at 773 and 873K for 15min in vacuum.  相似文献

Over the last years several works have been published in which magnetic and structural properties of soft magnetic nanocrystalline alloys were reported. Among these, there are a series of articles where the nanocrystals composition of FINEMET-type alloys with Ge addition was obtained by Mössbauer spectroscopy (MS) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). By considering a linear relationship between the magnetic moments of the nanocrystals and the composition of various elements in these crystallites, the magnetic moment of the nanocrystals was calculated. This paper reviews results obtained by different authors since 1980 and they are compared with ours. In turn, we revised some elements not previously considered for the calculus of the nanocrystals composition that allowed us to obtain the magnetic moment of the crystallites in the alloy. In particular, we analyzed FINEMET-type alloys with replacement of B for Ge: Fe73.5Si13.5Ge2B7Nb3Cu1 and Fe73.5Si13.5Ge4B5Nb3Cu1. The nanocrystalline structure was obtained by isothermal annealing of melt-spun ribbons at 823 K for 1 h. From MS and XRD we obtained the atomic composition of the nanocrystals in the magnetic material. The magnetic contribution of the nanocrystals to the alloy was calculated using a linear model and the results were compared with experimental measurements of the samples.  相似文献

Magnetic and structural properties of a Finemet type alloy (Fe73.5Ge15.5Nb3B7Cu1) without Si and high Ge content were studied. Amorphous material was obtained by the melt spinning technique and was heat treated at different temperatures for 1 h under high vacuum to induce the nanocrystallization of the sample. The softest magnetic properties were obtained between 673 and 873 K. The role of Ge on the ferromagnetic paramagnetic transition of the as-quenched alloys and its influence on the crystallization process were studied using a calorimetric technique. Mössbauer spectroscopy was employed in the nanocrystallized alloy annealed at 823 K to obtain the composition of the nanocrystals and the amorphous phase fraction. Using this data and magnetic measurements of the as-quenched alloy, the magnetic contribution of nanocrystals to the alloy annealed at 823 K was estimated via a linear model.  相似文献

The results obtained by partially substituting Ge for B and Si in the FINEMET alloy for the purpose of improving its magnetic properties at high temperatures are presented in this work. Nanocrystalline ribbons were obtained from controlled crystallization of amorphous material made employing the melt spinning technique. The studied compositions were: Fe73.5Si13.5Ge2Nb3B7Cu1 and Fe73.5Si13.5Ge4Nb3B5Cu1. The structural evolution of these alloys was studied using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and these results were correlated with their magnetic properties at different annealing temperatures. The coercivity obtained for both alloys was below 1 A/m at anneling temperatures between 773 and 823 K. The amorphous saturation magnetization was satisfactory, almost 137 emu/g, comparable with that obtained for FINEMET alloys. The nanocrystallization and the Curie temperatures are dependent on Ge concentration.  相似文献

The crystallization behaviour of the Fe?B amorphous alloy powders prepared by the chemical reduction method has been investigated by Mössbauer spectroscopy. In comparison to amorphous ribbons prepared by melt-spinning, a different crystallization behaviour has been observed. After annealing the amorphous samples entirely crystallized into three crystalline phases: α-Fe, Fe3B, and Fe2B. In the case of Fe80B20 amorphous alloy ribbons produced by melt-spinning technique eutectic crystallization is commonly observed and results in the crystalline phases: α-Fe and Fe3B. This kind of crystallization was not observed in the chemically prepared samples. The metastable tetragonal Fe3B phase transformed completely into α-Fe and Fe2B after annealing at 973 K for one hour.  相似文献

The dynamic magnetization processes of nanocrystalline Fe80Ge3Nb10B7 alloys after annealing at different temperatures are studied through the permeability spectroscopy. Three steps of crystallization are found when amorphous Fe80Ge3Nb10B7 alloys are heated from 300to 1200 K. The dominant magnetization process varies with different annealing temperatures. Domain wall bulging is the main magnetization mechanism under weak applied field. When the applied field exceeds pinning field Hp, the depinning-involved domain wall displacement occurs. Different annealing temperature results in different Hp. The lower value of μ′ and high relaxation frequency after heating at 923 and 973 K are due to the strengthened domain wall pinning and the increase of magnetocrystalline anisotropy.  相似文献

The microstructure and magnetic properties of Finemet-type Fe72.5Cu1M2V2Si13.5B9 (M=Nb, Mo, (NbMo), (MoW)) alloys have been systematically studied. Results show that the nanocrystalline alloy with M=NbMo has the smallest grain size of about 8 nm. The order of the effect of Nb, Mo and W additions in decreasing the α-Fe grain size in nanocrystalline alloys is Nb>Mo>W. The best DC soft magnetic properties are obtained in the alloy with M=Nb. In the case of AC soft magnetic properties, the Nb alloy also exhibits a very low core loss comparing with typical Finemet alloy. Therefore, the Nb alloy is suitable for use as a transformer core material. In addition, it is shown that a narrow grain size distribution and a uniform dispersion of α-Fe grains in the amorphous matrix are very crucial for the development of new Finemet-type nanocrystalline alloys with good soft magnetic properties.  相似文献

The local environment of Cu atoms in Fe73.5Cu1Nb3Si13.5B9 alloy was investigated by extended X-ray absorption fine structure(EXAFS).Cu clusters began to order when the annealing temperature was around 733 K from the results of the Fourier transform curves.The fitting results showed that the first shell of the near fcc(face-centered cubic)Cu clusters only contained Cu atoms.The coordination number increased with the annealing temperature.Subsequently,the occupancy rate increased from 33.3%(annealed at 733 K)to 100% (annealed at 853 K).This local structural change of Cu atoms could probably affect the distribution of the bcc(body-centered cubic)α-Fe in Fe73.5Cu1Nb3Si13.5B9 alloy.  相似文献

The rf collapse and sideband effects are used to study the microstructure of the Fe73.5Cu1Nb3Si13.5B9 alloy in the amorphous and nanocrystalline state. Nanocrystalline grains of -Fe(Si) are formed as a result of annealing of the amorphous alloy at 520–570 °C. The results show that the complete rf collapse of magnetic hfs in the Mössbauer spectra occurs only in the amorphous phase. The rf collapse is strongly affected by the onset of the nanocrystalline phase and is suppressed when the Fe3B and Fe2B phases are formed. Partial collapse allows us to follow the remaining crystalline fractions during the crystalline process. The rf sidebands disappear due to the formation of nanocrystals because of the vanishing magnetostriction.  相似文献

Nd8Fe86???x Nb x B6 (x = 0, 1, 2, 3) nanocomposite magnet has been studied by Mössbauer spectroscopy and nanostructure observation. It was found that intergranular phase formed between α-Fe and Nd2Fe14B phase in NdFeNbB alloys plays a significant role on the magnetic properties. By the addition of Nb into Nd8Fe86B6 composition, coercivity was found to increase by 25% due to the grain refinement of both the soft and hard magnetic phases which was decreased from 50 nm of virgin Nd8Fe86B6 to 25 nm in Nd8Fe85Nb1B6 alloys. The role of Nb addition was confirmed to stabilize the Nd2Fe14B lattice preventing from thermal vibration of the corresponding sites at where Fe atoms are substituted by Nb in the Nd2Fe14B lattice. The enhanced coercivity was originated from the exchange hardening of soft and amorphous phases surrounding the hard magnetic Nd2Fe14B crystal.  相似文献

Ultrafine Fe?B amorphous alloy powders were prepared by reducing Fe2+ ions using KBH4 and NaBH4 in aqueous solution. Adjusting technological factors, the amorphous powders around the composition of Fe65B35 can be easily obtained, but in the vicinity of eutectic point (Fe80B20) a certain amount of α-Fe often appears in the samples. From the Mössbauer spectrum, the crystallization products of the Fe63B37 amorphous powder are α-Fe and Fe2B phases. The measurement of11B spin echo nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) at 8K showed that Fe2B-like and Fe3B-like short range orders (SRO) exist in the amorphous powder of Fe76B24.  相似文献

Fully dense nanocomposite magnets containing hard R2Fe14B and soft α-Fe phases were produced from both melt-spun and mechanically milled alloys by hot pressing and subsequent die upsetting. Although R-lean R–Fe–B alloys that do not contain the grain-boundary R-rich phase are known not to be susceptible to texture development by means of die upsetting, we found that small additions of Cu make the texturing possible. The resulting microstructure of oriented platelet grains is similar to that of the R-rich die-upset magnets. Properties of the Cu-containing R2Fe14B/α-Fe die-upset magnets can be further improved by adding Ga. The anisotropic Pr12Fe80Cu1Ga1B6 magnet made from mechanically milled alloy and containing 17.2 wt% α-Fe had a remanence of 13 kG and a maximum energy product of 23.4 MG Oe. The Pr11.25Fe80.75Cu1Ga1B6 magnet made from melt-spun alloy and containing 16.2 wt% α-Fe had a maximum energy product of 19.9 MG Oe. The low coercivity of 3–4 kOe typical for the Cu-containing R2Fe14B/α-Fe die-upset magnets is due to the relatively coarse α-Fe grains. The latter grains are too large for intergranular exchange interaction, but, nevertheless, they are well coupled with the R2Fe14B grains by a long-range magnetostatic interaction.  相似文献

Rapidly quenched microwires with a nominal composition of Fe39Co39Si8B14 (#AO), Fe37Co37Nb4Si8B14 (#AN) and Fe36Co36Nb4Cr2Si8B14 (#ANC) have been investigated. Devitrification of as-quenched microwires showed that crystallization temperatures increased with simultaneous incorporation of Nb and Cr as in #ANC alloy. Addition of these elements also contributed to an increase in activation energy in #AN and #ANC alloys. Nb addition reduced the particle size, which became much finer in the case of the Cr-containing alloy. Although Nb addition did not have much effect on lowering the Curie temperature TC of the amorphous phase, Cr substitution lowered TC to 698 K from high values of 785 K and 787 K observed in the #AO and #ANC alloys, respectively. However, the Cr addition revealed a better Giant magneto-impedance (GMI) response compared to the other alloys. Such improved GMI properties in the Cr-containing alloy are attributed to lower values of the coercivity and magnetostriction in the alloy containing both Nb and Cr.  相似文献

The magnetic properties of nanocrystalline Fe74Cu0.8Nb2.7Si15.5B7 alloy, which were rapidly solidified and then annealed at various temperatures between 475 and 650°C for different holding time, have been studied. Grain size, silicon content and the lattice parameter of α-Fe(Si) nanograins at the annealing temperatures were determined. Curie temperature of the amorphous phase was determined from the temperature dependence of permeability. For higher annealing temperatures and times, some Si diffused out of the α-Fe(Si) phase and formed an ordered DO3 phase of Fe3Si. This changed the overall magnetostriction and average anisotropy of the matrix, which deteriorated the magnetic softness of the material at higher annealing temperatures. Ultra-soft magnetic properties were achieved by averaging the random anisotropy via exchange interaction. Hysteresis loops for samples in as-cast and annealed conditions have also been studied.  相似文献
