搭建了基于反射型体光栅和半导体可饱和吸收镜的线型腔全正色散掺镱光纤激光器,室温下实现了稳定的波长可连续调谐的连续被动锁模脉冲输出.重复频率16.42 MHz,锁模脉冲中心波长1030 nm时,脉冲光潜带宽0.32 nm,最大平均输出功率10.2 mW,单脉冲能量0.63 nJ.转动体光栅角度,利用其分光谱和选波长的特性,可使锁模脉冲的中心波长在约1011.9一1050.6 nm的范围内调谐,调谐范围约38.7 nm.实验中亦可观察到调Q锁模、二次谐波锁模、双波长和三波长输出现象.输出单波长锁模脉冲时,由于其波长可调谐的特性,该激光器可用作波分复用/光时分复用通信系统的光源和光学相干层析的调谐光源. 相似文献

We present the first operation of a distributed feedback solid state dye laser with a dynamic, pump-induced grating. Broadly
tunable, narrow band operation in the region of 616 nm (604–649 nm) has been demonstrated with perylene red laser dye doped
in poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA), when pumped with a frequency doubled Nd:YAG laser. Conversion efficiencies of 20%, corresponding
to 35% optical-to-optical efficiency, have been measured. The laser bandwidth was between 0.01 and 0.04 nm, and smooth tuning
over more than 200 GHz has been demonstrated.

We demonstrate a passively Q-switched tunable erbium-doped fiber laser(EDFL)based on graphene as a saturable absorber(SA).A three-port optical circulator(OC)and a strain-induced tunable fiber Bragg grating(TFBG)are used as the two end mirrors in an all-fiber linear cavity.The Q-switched EDFL has a low pump threshold of 23.8 mW.The pulse repetition rate of the fiber laser can be widely changed from 9.3 kHz to 69.7 kHz by increasing the pump power from23.8 mW to 219.9 mW.The minimum pulse duration is 1.7μs and the highest pulse energy is 25.4 nJ.The emission wavelength of the laser can be tuned from 1560.43 nm to 1566.27 nm by changing the central wavelength of the straininduced TFBG. 相似文献

In this paper, passively mode-locked erbium-doped fiber lasers based on saturable absorber (SA) have been theoretically studied. The energetics and pulse properties for different fiber laser cavity configurations have been investigated and the effects of each component (active fiber, passive fiber, and SA) in the laser cavity have been studied. This numerical study takes into account the temporal change in the saturable absorption (dq/dt).The presented simulations could be highly useful for understanding, optimizing, and improving passively mode-locked fiber lasers with SA. 相似文献

We experimentally demonstrate a passively mode-locked fiber laser employing a fiber-based semiconductor saturable absorber (SSA) operating in transmission. Polarization rotation locked vector solitons are observed in the laser. Due to the intrinsic dynamic feature of the laser, period-doubling of these vector solitons has also been observed. Furthermore, extra spectral sidebands are formed on the optical spectrum, caused by the energy exchange between the two orthogonal polarization components of the vector solitons. By careful reduction of the pump power together with fine adjustment to the cavity birefringence, period-one state can further be obtained. Additionally, the phase noise properties of the vector soliton fiber laser have also been characterized experimentally and analytically. 相似文献

ABSTRACTWe demonstrate the generation of Q-switching pulse train in thulium-doped fiber laser (TDFL) cavity by employing titanium-based saturable absorber (Ti-SA). The Ti-SA was fabricated by depositing titanium particles molecules using electron beam evaporation on the surface of a polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) film. Subsequently, stable Q-switched pulses were obtained within the 1,552 nm pump power range from 272.1 to 467 mW, with repetition rate tuned from 21.8 to 39.1 kHz. At the maximum pump power, the TDFL showed that the pulse duration of 2.22 μs and the maximum pulse energy of 124 nJ. 相似文献

We report on the generation of conventional and dissipative solitons in erbium-doped fiber lasers by the evanescent field interaction between the propagating light and a multilayer molybdenum disulfide(MoS_2) thin film. The MoS_2 film is fabricated by depositing the MoS_2 water–ethanol mixture on a D-shape-fiber(DF) repetitively. The measured nonsaturable loss, saturable optical intensity, and the modulation depth of this device are 13.3%, 110 MW/cm~2, and 3.4% respectively.Owing to the very low nonsaturable loss, the laser threshold of conventional soliton is as low as 4.8 mW. The further increase of net cavity dispersion to normal regime, stable dissipation soliton pulse trains with a spectral bandwidth of 11.7 nm and pulse duration of 116 ps are successfully generated. Our experiment demonstrates that the MoS_2-DF device can indeed be used as a high performance saturable absorber for further applications in ultrafast photonics. 相似文献

A general theoretical model for passively mode-locked lasers is presented, in which both the self-frequency shift and either a fast or a slow saturable absorber response are taken into account. An exact soliton-like solution and condition for its existence are obtained under a definite compatible condition. The stability of the solution is analyzed by using a variational method, and a parameter region, in which the solution is linearly stable, is acquired theoretically. To verify the theoretical predictions, a typical example is given for stable pulse propagation over a long distance. The numerical results show that the soliton-like solution is stable under some perturbations within the linearly stable region and an arbitrary Gaussian pulse converges to the exact soliton-like solution after evolution in a distance. 相似文献

Dynamic process of self-started self-mode-locked Ti : sapphire laser with a semiconductor saturable absorber mirror (SESAM) was investigated and two mode-locking starting processes were found in which one is fast and the other is slow. In the fast starting process, a mode-locking build-up time of about 400 μs was needed during which pure passive mode-locking process was caused by the SESAM and Kerr-lens mode-locking process arose from the nonlinearity of the Ti : sapphire gain medium. In the slow starting process, a build-up time of about several minutes was found in which temperature effect of the SESAM dominates the dynamic process. 相似文献

光纤激光器作为推动各领域发展的基础硬件,在轨道交通、光纤通信、新材料制造、动力电池加工、军事国防和医疗等领域都有广泛的应用价值.光纤激光器被动锁模技术的核心器件是可饱和吸收体,它对光纤激光器实现高能量、窄脉宽、大功率的激光输出起决定性作用.依托传统材料和传统结构的可饱和吸收体,由于无散热机制,光作用到材料上的光斑大小与光纤出射直径几乎相同,容易超过可饱和吸收体的损伤阈值从而造成损坏.因此,调整可饱和吸收体制备工艺和结构,对于提高可饱和吸收体的损伤阈值,实现性能优良、稳定性高的脉冲激光具有重要意义.本文综述了高损伤阈值可饱和吸收体国内外研究现状,指出了高损伤阈值可饱和吸收体可能的发展方向. 相似文献

We demonstrate the characteristics of relatively low saturation intensity using co-doped Nd, Cr:YAG as saturable absorber for passively mode locking the Nd:YAG laser. The difference of the saturation intensity between Q-switched and mode-locked operation in co-doped Nd, Cr:YAG was only one to two orders of magnitude, while Cr:YAG was generally reported at a difference of five orders of magnitude. More than 80% mode locking modulation depth was achieved at an incident pump power of 4.4W, corresponding to an intracavity intensity of 6×10^4W/cm^2, using a 68cm long plano-concave cavity. 相似文献

基于半导体可饱和吸收镜(SESAM)的负克尔效应,对含SESAM的五镜腔进行了理论计算和分析.结果表明,由于SESAM的负克尔效应,与没有SESAM的相比,锁模激光器的稳区在上稳区的内边缘有明显扩展,这使得激光器锁模启动的工作点更加靠近直流运转时的稳区边缘,从而获得更大的非线性因子.这说明SESAM的可饱和吸收机理具有锁模自启动效应外,其负克尔效应也有助于锁模的自启动.
