Four novel ILs functionalized β-cyclodextrins (β-CDs) were prepared by treating 6-tosyl-β-cyclodextrin with 1,2-dimethylimidazole or 1-amino-1,2,3-triazole, and bonded to silica gel to obtain chiral stationary phases (CSPs) to be used in high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The separation performances of these CSPs were examined with 16 chiral aromatic alcohol derivatives and 2 racemic drugs in acetonitrile-based polar-organic mobile phase. Excellent enantioseparations were achieved for most of the analytes. The highest value of resolution factor calculated is 6.868. Comparison of the performance of 8a, 8b, 8c and 8d suggests that the positively charged imidazole group provides electrostatic interactions probably through strong H-bonding with the analytes, whereas the cationic triazole, which forms a weaker ion pair with its counter ion, is more capable of participating in ion-pairing interactions with acidic analytes. However, for compounds 12 and 13, which have larger molecular volumes than the other analytes, the interactions between analytes and both cationic imidazole and its counter ion of the selectors play an important role in the chiral resolution. Moreover, the high resolutions were found to depend on the properties of the cations and anions on the selectors in combination with the chiral recognition sites on the rim of the CD. The ionic strength in mobile phase affects the relative interactions between analytes and the chiral selector as well as between analytes and solvents.  相似文献

Summary 2,6-Di-O-pentyl-3-O-propionyl--cyclodextrin has been synthesized and used for enantiomer separation in capillary gas chromatography. Experimental results showed that the stationary phase has good enantiomer selectivity toward amino acids, amines, alcohols, diols, epoxides, and lactones,etc. 2,6-Di-O-pentyl-3-O-propionyl--cyclodextrin has good thermal stability: the highest recommended temperature isca 170°C.  相似文献

On the basis of impregnation method, several stationary phases were prepared using γ-Al2O3 with the solution of transition metal salts and the breakthrough curves of gas chromatograph for H2 isotopes were analyzed under the temperature of liquid nitrogen. The effects of carrier gas, flow rate and doping concentration on the separation performance for H2 and D2 were systematically investigated. The overall results showed that the surface areas and adsorptive capacities of modified γ-Al2O3 were slightly lower than unmodified one while the separation performance and symmetry of chromatographic peaks of the former were more excellent. In addition, the chromatographic peaks of ortho- and para-H2 were no longer separated and the retention time shortened to half on columns of modified γ-Al2O3. All the magnetic transition metal ions modified γ-Al2O3 did very well for the separation of H2/D2 under the conditions of neon as carrier gas with a flow rate of 60 mL/min and column lengths of 1.0 m and injection amounts of 0.1 mL. Especially, the MnCl2 modified γ-Al2O3 exhibited the best performance for separating H2/D2 with an optimum doping concentration of 20 wt%.  相似文献

The application of ionic liquids (ILs) as nonderivatizing solvents for the pretreatment and regeneration of cellulose is a growing area of research. Here we report the development of a rapid and simple method for the determination of residual ethanol content in two hydrophilic ILs, 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride and 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium acetate. The method utilizes headspace solid-phase microextraction coupled with gas chromatography at elevated extraction temperatures, resulting in rapid equilibration times. The effect of IL water content on the ethanol extraction efficiency is presented. Recovery experiments carried out in real samples gave recoveries ranging from 96.8 to 98.2%.  相似文献

Summary Affinity chromatography with α1-acid glycoprotein (AGP) and human serum albumin (HSA) stationary phases was applied to screen and analyze the biologically active components ofRhizoma chuanxiong. Five major peaks and a number of small peaks were resolved based on their affinity for AGP and HSA, respectively, and three of them, identified as ferulic acid, chuanxiongzine and ligustilide via standard compounds, are regarded as effective components. The effects of acetonitrile concentration, pH, inorganic salt concentration and temperature on the retention behaviors of five major components on the two stationary phases were also investigated. It was observed that hydrophobicity is the major contributor to retention on both stationary phases, and ferulic acid has a weak electrostatic interaction with HSA. It demonstrated that the chromatograms ofRhizoma chuanxiong on the two stationary phases have concise and different fingerprinting characteristics. The amount of ferulic acid, chuanxiongzine and ligustilide inRhizoma chuanxiong determined using the AGP column are as much as 0.064%, 0.021% and 2.00% by weight.  相似文献

Packed column supercritical fluid chromatography (pSFC) is an attractive technique in drug discovery related analysis because it offers several advantages over the more commonly used high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) technique. The environmental-friendly CO2 mobile phase, the high-throughput capacity, the increased efficiency and the lower operational costs give SFC additional benefits over HPLC in analysis related to drug development. The latter technique is well established and has been used for decades in the pharmaceutical industry. On the other hand, SFC is still in its infancy, even though the technique has been known for decades and researchers are still discovering the possibilities and limitations of this technique.  相似文献

Chromatographic behavior of some amino acids in aqueous–organic and aqueous modified micellar mobile phases is studied by thin-layer liquid chromatography. Intrinsic basic laws, features, possibilities, and limitations are revealed. It is shown that the efficiency of the chromatographic separation of amino acids in the presence of electrolytes is significantly improved in micellar mobile phases.  相似文献

This paper reports the study of poly(oxyethylene) as a solvent for heptakis(2,3,6-tri-O-methyl)-β-cyclodextrin (PM-β-CD) and the potential of these mixtures for constructing enantioselective gas chromatography columns. Enantioseparations of volatile racemic mixtures using capillaries coated with 10–50% PM-β-CD diluted in Carbowax 20M were evaluated. The influence of the polymer type on retention, separation and reproducibility over a period of time is critically discussed. The poly(oxyethylene)-based columns were also compared to columns prepared by dilution of PM-β-CD in two polysiloxanes, SE-30 and SE-54, at several temperatures. Finally, we evaluated a new stationary phase prepared by crosslinking the chiral selector to the poly(oxyethylene) matrix.  相似文献

Two new chiral stationary phases (CSP) were successfully prepared through bonding β-cyclodextrin (CD) derivatives modified by R-configuration groups (R-CPGCD, R-HMPGCD) to silica gel. Nineteen chiral nitro aromatic alcohol derivatives were separated under the polar organic and the reversed phase modes. Better enantioseparation was obtained in the reversed phase mode. The resolution values of the analytes ranged from 1.98 to 7.57 and from 2.19 to 8.14 on R-CPGCD and R-HMPGCD CSPs, respectively, using a mobile phase composed of methanol/water (v/v, 40/60). Better enantioseparation was obtained on R-HMPGCD CSP than on R-CPGCD CSP because of stronger hydrogen bonding and π-π interactions between the substituents on the cyclodextrin derivatives and the analytes. For different analytes, the increasing electronic density of the benzene ring was found to be favorable to the enantioseparation of the test analytes. The thermodynamic parameters showed that the enantioseparation of analytes was enthalpy-controlled and a lower temperature aided the enantiomeric separation of the solutes on the two CSPs. MD simulations were used to investigate the recognition mechanism between the chiral selectors and the analyte using R-, S-2-naphthalenemethanol and R-CPGCD and R-HMPGCD complexes as examples. S-2-naphthalenemethanol had the stronger interactions with R-CPGCD and R-HMPGCD than the R-isomer. The substituent derivatized on R-CPGCD and the cyclodextrin cavity contributed to the discrimination of the S-isomer, but only the derivatized group on R-HMPGCD was found to play a major role in separating prosess. In addition, the larger free energy deviation of the R- and S-isomers in the R-HMPGCD system brought about a higher resolution value (Rs = 8.14).  相似文献

In order to study the effect of the nature and the length of the spacer, three mixed 10-undecenoate/phenylcarbamate derivatives of β-cyclodextrin have been prepared and linked to allylsilica gel by means of a radical reaction. The chiral recognition ability of the resulting materials, when used as liquid chromatography chiral stationary phases (CSPs), was evaluated using heptane and either 2-propanol or chloroform as organic mobile-phase modifiers. A large variety of racemic compounds have been separated successfully on these CSPs (mainly pharmaceuticals and herbicides). Optimization of these separations was discussed in terms of mobile-phase composition and structural patterns of the injected analytes. The efficiencies of the three prepared materials were compared to those of previously described perphenylated-β-cyclodextrin column and to analogous cellulose derivative-based CSPs. The highly complex matrix of activated sludge in sewage treatment plants (STPs) makes it difficult to detect endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) which are usually present at low concentration levels. To date, no literature has reported the concentrations of steroid estrogens in activated sludge in China and very limited data are available worldwide. In this work, a highly selective and sensitive analytical method was developed for simultaneous determination of two classes of EDCs, including estrone (E1), 17β-estradiol (E2), estriol (E3), 17α-ethynylestradiol (EE2), 4-nonylphenol (NP) and bisphenol A (BPA), in the liquid and solid phases of activated sludge. The procedures for sample preparation, extracts derivatization, and gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC–MS) quantification were all optimized to effectively determine target EDCs while minimizing matrix interference. The developed method showed good calibration linearity, recovery, precision, and a low limit of quantification (LOQ) for all selected EDCs in both liquid and solid phases of activated sludge. It was successfully applied to determine the concentrations of EDCs in activated sludge samples from two STPs located in Beijing and Shanghai of China, respectively.  相似文献

Different substituent groups were introduced onto the rim of β-cyclodextrin through rigid CN bonds to form a series of imino-modified β-cyclodextrin derivatives: mono(6-deoxy-phenylimino)-β-cyclodextrin (BCD), mono(6-deoxy-isopropylimino)-β-cyclodextrin (YBCD), mono(6-deoxy-N-1-phenylethylimino)-β-cyclodextrin (R-,S-BYCD), mono[6-deoxy-N-1-(2-hydroxyl)-phenylethylimino]-β-cyclodextrin (R-,S-PGCD), heptakis(2,6-o-diamyl-6-deoxy-phenylimino)-β-cyclodextrin (WBCD), heptakis(2,6-o-diamyl-6-deoxyisopropylimino)-β-cyclodextrin (WYBCD) and heptakis[2,6-o-diamyl-6-deoxy-R-(-)-N-1-phenylethylimino)-β-cyclodextrin (WRBYCD). The obtained derivatives were then bonded to silica gel and used in high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) as chiral stationary phases (CSPs). The separation performance of these CSPs was examined by separating disubstituted benzenes, amino acids, ferrocene derivatives andchiral aromatic alcohol compounds. Satisfactory separation results were obtained for most of the compounds. The values for selectivity factors can reach up to 8.50 and 8.16 for separating positional isomers and ferrocene derivatives, respectively, and the best resolution was 6.89 for aromatic alcohol derivative separations. Molecular dynamics (MD) simulations were carried out for chiral discrimination of rac-N-benzoyl-phenylglycinol on S-PGCD CSP to study the recognition mechanism. MD simulation results show that the average free-energy of interaction is −1304.83 kcal/mol for the l-enantiomer and S-PGCD and −1324.23 kcal/mol for the d-enantiomer and S-PGCD. In the recognition stage, the l-enantiomer moves along the exterior of the cyclodextrin cavity from the wider edge to the narrower edge of cyclodextrin whereas the d-enantiomer moves slightly towards the cavity. The l-enantiomer thus is separated first due to weaker interaction with S-PGCD.  相似文献

The selection of column packing during the development of high-performance liquid chromatography method is a crucial step to achieve sufficient chromatographic resolution of analyzed species in complex mixtures. Various stationary phases are tested in this paper for the analysis of complex mixture of triacylglycerols (TGs) in blackcurrant oil using non-aqueous reversed-phase (NARP) system with acetonitrile–2-propanol mobile phase. Conventional C18 column in the total length of 45 cm is used for the separation of TGs according to their equivalent carbon number, the number and positions of double bonds and acyl chain lengths. The separation of TGs and their more polar hydrolysis products after the partial enzymatic hydrolysis of blackcurrant oil in one chromatographic run is achieved using conventional C18 column. Retention times of TGs are reduced almost 10 times without the loss of the chromatographic resolution using ultra high-performance liquid chromatography with 1.7 μm C18 particles. The separation in NARP system on C30 column shows an unusual phenomenon, because the retention order of TGs changes depending on the column temperature, which is reported for the first time. The commercial monolithic column modified with C18 is used for the fast analysis of TGs to increase the sample throughput but at cost of low resolution.  相似文献

A computer-assisted method is presented for simultaneous optimization of three-factor of temperature programming (initial temperature, temperature rising rate and carrier gas flow rate) for the separation of eleven compounds in capillary gas chromatography. The optimization of the separation over the experimental region is based on a special polynomial from fifteen preliminary experiments using the resolution as the selection criterion. Computer scanning technique was used for optimum selection on three dimensions. Excellent agreement was found between the predicted data and the experimental results.  相似文献

The thermodynamic characteristics of sorption of 24 organic compounds of various classes from the gas phase on the binary stationary phase based on polyethylene glycol 400 and permethylated β-cyclodextrin were determined. The influence of geometrical structure and optical activity of organic compounds on the possibility of forming sorbate–macrocycle complexes was examined. It was found that the studied stationary phase shows the enantioselectivity towards low-polar terpenes under the conditions of gas chromatography.  相似文献
