We improve the Monte-Carlo based QCD sum rules by introducing the rigorous H¨older-inequalitydetermined sum rule window and a Breit-Wigner type parametrization for the phenomenological spectral function.In this improved sum rule analysis methodology, the sum rule analysis window can be determined without any assumptions on OPE convergence or the QCD continuum. Therefore, an unbiased prediction can be obtained for the phenomenological parameters(the hadronic mass and width etc.). We test the new approach in the ρ meson channel with re-examination and inclusion of α_s corrections to dimension-4 condensates in the OPE. We obtain results highly consistent with experimental values. We also discuss the possible extension of this method to some other channels.  相似文献

There exist model calculations showing the modification of the hadronic parameters of ρ meson in the nuclear environment. From these parameters, we extract the ρ-meson-nucleus optical potential and show the medium effect due to this potential on the ρ-meson mass distribution spectra in the photonuclear reactions. The calculated results reproduced reasonably the measured e + e invariant mass, i.e., ρ-meson mass, distribution spectra in γ, ρ 0e + e reactions on nuclei.

We study the κ meson in 2+1 flavor QCD with sufficiently light u/d quarks. Using numerical simulations, we measure the point-to-point κ correlators in the "Asqtad" improved staggered fermion formulation. We then analyze these correlators using rooted staggered chiral perturbation theory (rSχPT), with particular attention paid to bubble contribution. After chiral extrapolation, we obtain the physical κ mass with 828±97 MeV, which is within the recent experimental value of 800-900 MeV. These numerical simulations are carried out with MILC 2+1 flavor gauge configurations at a lattice spacing of a ≈ 0.12 fm.  相似文献

The correlation functions of vector and pseudoscalar currents have been calculated in the external strong magnetic field in SU(2) lattice gluodynamics. The masses of the neutral ρ meson with different spin projections s = 0, ±1 to the axis parallel to the external magnetic field B have been calculated. The ρ meson mass with zero spin s = 0 decreases with the growth of the magnetic field and the ρ meson masses with s = ±1 increase with the magnetic field.  相似文献

The ratios of the cross sections for ?-meson production induced by 2.83-GeV protons on Cu, Ag, and Au nuclei to the respective cross section for C nuclei were measured at the ANKE-COSY facility in the momentum range of 0.6?C1.6 GeV/c and the angular range of 0°?C8°. The product ? mesons were identified by their decay ? ?? K + K ?. The procedure used to separate kaon pairs was described in detail, and all sources of the background and their contribution to the resulting error in the values found for the above cross-section ratios were analyzed. The A dependence of the cross section for ?-meson production was shown to obey the A 0.56±0.03 law. The total width of the ? meson at a normal nuclear density was extracted from a comparison of the measured cross-section ratios with the results of calculations based on two theoretical models. The resulting width value exceeds substantially both the vacuum width and the width expected in the absence of the nuclear-matter effect on the properties of the ? meson.  相似文献

We propose a strategy to access the qq component of the p resonance in lattice QCD. Through a mixed action formalism(overlap valence on domain wall sea), the energy of the qq component is derived at different valence quark masses, and shows a linear dependence on m_π~2. The slope is determined to be c_1 =0.505(3)GeV~(-1), from which the valence πρ sigma term is extracted to be σ_(πρ)~(val)= 9.82(6) MeV using the Feynman-Hellman theorem. At the physical pion mass, the mass of the qq component is interpolated to be m_ρ = 775.9±6.0±1.8 MeV, which is close to the p resonance mass. We also obtain the leptonic decay constant of the qq component to be f_ρ-=208.5±5.5±0.9 MeV, which can be compared with the experimental value f_ρ~(exp)≈221 MeV through the relation f_ρ~(exp)=(1/2)Zf_ρ±, with Z_ρ≈1.13 being the on-shell wavefunction renormalization of p owing to the ρ-π interaction. We emphasize that m_ρand f_ρ of the qq component, which are obtained for the first time from QCD, can be taken as the input parameters of p in effective field theory studies where p acts as a fundamental degree of freedom.  相似文献

In the qq quark model, the states π(1300), η(1295) and η(1475) are assigned as the 2^1S0 meson nonet. The mass of the isodoublet remains interesting and needs further confirmation in experiments. This paper employs the phenomenological trajectory on the (N, M^2)-plot and meson meson mixing methods to calculate the mass of this state, the calculated results are 1341 MeV and 1311.58 ± 59 MeV respectively. Using all experimentally measured charmless B → PP, PV decay modes, where P(V) denotes a light pseudoscalar(vector) meson, we extract the CKM angle γ by a global fit. All hadronic parameters are determined from the experimental data, such that the approach is least model dependent. The contributions of the various decay modes are classified by the topological weak Feynman diagram amplitudes, which are determined by the global fit.To improve the precision of the approach, we consider the flavor SU(3) breaking effects of the topological diagram amplitudes of the decay modes by including the form factors and decay constants. The fit result for the CKM angle γ is( 69.8 ± 2.1 ± 0.9)°. It is consistent with the current world average values but has a smaller uncertainty.  相似文献

In the framework of the relativistic mean field theory, the effects of the δ meson on the direct Urca (DURCA) processes are investigated. In a neutron star, the DURCA processes involving nucleons, Λ and Ξ- can take place while the process involving the Ξ0 can not. With the inclusion of the δ meson, the threshold densities for the DURCA processes become lower. With the δ included, the threshold neutron star mass for the DURCA process among nucleons and electrons becomes smaller while the threshold masses for the processes involving hyperons become larger. When the δ meson is included, the total neutrino emissivity remarkably increases in the density range of 0.32--0.41 fm-3. The total neutrino luminosity increases with the neutron star mass first and then decreases. The neutrino luminosity gets larger with the inclusion of the δ meson. The cooling of the EXO0748-676 is sensitive to the isovector scalar interaction.  相似文献

The results of the measurements of radiative decays of ρ and ω mesons with the Neutral Detector at thee + e ? collider VEPP-2M are presented. The branching ratio of the decay ω→π 0γ was measured with higher than in previous experiments accuracy: $${\rm B}(\omega \to \pi ^0 \gamma ) = 0.0888 \pm 0.0062$$ . The ρ0π 0 γ branching ratio was measured for the first time: $$B(\rho ^0 \to \pi ^0 \gamma ) = (7.9 \pm 2.0) \cdot 10^{ - 4} $$ . The decays ρ, ω→ηγ were studied. Their branching ratios with the assumption of constructive ρ?ω interference are: $$\begin{gathered} B(\omega \to \eta \gamma ) = (7.3 \pm 2.9) \cdot 10^{ - 4} , \hfill \\ B(\rho \to \eta \gamma ) = (4.0 \pm 1.1) \cdot 10^{ - 4} \hfill \\ \end{gathered} $$ . The branching ratios of ρ, ω→ηγ and ω→e + e ? decays were also measured: $$\begin{gathered} B(\omega \to \pi ^ + \pi ^ - \pi ^0 ) = 0.8942 \pm 0.0062, \hfill \\ B(\omega \to e^ + e^ - ) = (7.14 \pm 0.36) \cdot 10^{ - 5} \hfill \\ \end{gathered} $$ . The upper limit for the ω→π 0 π 0 γ branching ratio was placed: B(ωπ 0 π 0 γ)<4·10?4 at 90% confidence level.  相似文献

The separation of background and resonance contributions in pion–nucleon scattering is an often discussed issue. We investigate to what extent the background can be separated from the pole contribution. For illustration we use results from an analytic model for the meson–baryon interaction derived from meson exchange. We focus on the two distinct cases of an elastic and a highly inelastic resonance, namely the Δ(1232)Δ(1232) and the Δ(1700)Δ(1700). Our results are also relevant for studies of dynamically generated resonances and attempts to extract bare quantities from hadronic models to be compared to quark model results.  相似文献

We fit the CKM-matrix to all recent data with the following free parameters: three mixing angles, the CP-violating angle in the Maiani parametrisation, the top quark massm t, and the productf B B0 1/2 , wheref B is theB-meson decay parameter and B 0 is the bag parameter. Our fits span a contiguous region in the (f B B0 1/2 , cos )-plane. The parametersf B B0 1/2 and cos are strongly positively correlated.  相似文献

In this study, we systematically investigate the ? meson and nucleus interaction by analyzing and fitting the cross sections of \begin{document}$ \gamma N $\end{document}\begin{document}$ \rightarrow \phi $\end{document}N reactions near the threshold, where N represents the nucleus. Using the vector meson dominant model, the distribution of the ?-N scattering length is presented as a function of energy, and the results show that there is a slight increase in scattering length with increasing energy. Based on this, the average scattering length of a ?-proton is obtained as\begin{document}$ 0.10\pm0.01 $\end{document} fm by combining experimental data and theoretical models. Moreover, the average scattering length of the ?-deuteron interaction is derived to be \begin{document}$ 0.014\pm0.002 $\end{document} fm for the first time. Furthermore, the effect of the momentum transfer \begin{document}$|t_{{\rm min}}|$\end{document} on the ?-N scattering length at the threshold is discussed. The obtained results not only provide important theoretical information for a more comprehensive and accurate study of the ?-N scattering length, but also a basis for future experimental measurements of ? meson production.  相似文献

A model is explored in which the fragmentation region is populated by the hadronization of a string which stretches from a fast forward quark to a quark in the backward hemisphere of the p collision. This model is a part of more complicated models which have been studied elsewhere. It successfully fits observed inclusive production of 0-mesons, 0-mesons and -mesons, and agrees with the result that their production in p collisions is harder than in electron-position annihilation if: (a) the forward quark has an initial momentum which is at least 0·9 of that of the 0-mesons (b) gluon radiation is weaker than in electron-positron annihilation.  相似文献
