Let H be a function space on a compact space K. The set of simpliciality of H is the set of all points of K for which there exists a unique maximal representing measure. Properties of this set were studied by M. Ba?ák in the paper Point simpliciality in Choquet representation theory, Illinois J. Math. 53 (2009) 289–302, mainly for K metrizable. We introduce the notion of a local torus action modeled on the standard representation (for simplicity, we call it a local torus action). It is a generalization of a locally standard torus action and also an underlying structure of a locally toric Lagrangian fibration. For a local torus action, we define two invariants called a characteristic pair and an Euler class of the orbit map, and prove that local torus actions are classified topologically by them. As a corollary, we obtain a topological classification of locally standard torus actions, which includes the topological classifications of quasi-toric manifolds by Davis and Januszkiewicz and of effective T2-actions on four-dimensional manifolds without nontrivial finite stabilizers by Orlik and Raymond. We discuss locally toric Lagrangian fibrations from the viewpoint of local torus actions. We also investigate the topology of a manifold equipped with a local torus action when the Euler class of the orbit map vanishes.  相似文献

We develop a theory of existence, uniqueness and regularity for the following porous medium equation with fractional diffusion, with m>m?=(N−1)/N, N?1 and fL1(RN). An L1-contraction semigroup is constructed and the continuous dependence on data and exponent is established. We estimate the linear complexity profile of m-ary sequences in terms of their correlation measure, which was introduced by Mauduit and Sárközy. For prime m this is a direct extension of a result of Brandstätter and the second author. For composite m, we define a new correlation measure for m-ary sequences, relate it to the linear complexity profile and estimate it in terms of the original correlation measure. We apply our results to sequences of discrete logarithms modulo m and to quaternary sequences derived from two Legendre sequences.  相似文献

A W-algebra is an associative algebra constructed from a reductive Lie algebra and its nilpotent element. This paper concentrates on the study of 1-dimensional representations of W-algebras. Under some conditions on a nilpotent element (satisfied by all rigid elements) we obtain a criterium for a finite dimensional module to have dimension 1. It is stated in terms of the Brundan–Goodwin–Kleshchev highest weight theory. This criterium allows to compute highest weights for certain completely prime primitive ideals in universal enveloping algebras. We make an explicit computation in a special case in type E8. Our second principal result is a version of a parabolic induction for W-algebras. In this case, the parabolic induction is an exact functor between the categories of finite dimensional modules for two different W-algebras. The most important feature of the functor is that it preserves dimensions. In particular, it preserves one-dimensional representations. A closely related result was obtained previously by Premet. We also establish some other properties of the parabolic induction functor.  相似文献

We study polynomial functors of degree 2, called quadratic, with values in the category of abelian groups Ab, and whose source category is an arbitrary category C with null object such that all objects are colimits of copies of a generating object E which is small and regular projective; this includes all categories of models V of a pointed theory T. More specifically, we are interested in such quadratic functors F from C to Ab which preserve filtered colimits and suitable coequalizers.A functorial equivalence is established between such functors F:CAb and certain minimal algebraic data which we call quadratic C-modules: these involve the values on E of the cross-effects of F and certain structure maps generalizing the second Hopf invariant and the Whitehead product.Applying this general result to the case where E is a cogroup these data take a particularly simple form. This application extends results of Baues and Pirashvili obtained for C being the category of groups or of modules over some ring; here quadratic C-modules are equivalent with abelian square groups or quadratic R-modules, respectively.  相似文献

We decompose the K-theory space of a Waldhausen category in terms of its Dwyer–Kan simplicial localization. This leads to a criterion for functors to induce equivalences of K-theory spectra that generalizes and explains many of the criteria appearing in the literature. We show that under mild hypotheses, a weakly exact functor that induces an equivalence of homotopy categories induces an equivalence of K-theory spectra.  相似文献

The homotopy limit problem for Karoubi?s Hermitian K-theory (Karoubi, 1980) [26] was posed by Thomason (1983) [44]. There is a canonical map from algebraic Hermitian K-theory to the Z/2-homotopy fixed points of algebraic K-theory. The problem asks, roughly, how close this map is to being an isomorphism, specifically after completion at 2. In this paper, we solve this problem completely for fields of characteristic 0 (Theorems 16, 20). We show that the 2-completed map is an isomorphism for fields F of characteristic 0 which satisfy cd2(F[i])<∞, but not in general.  相似文献

This note is concerned with the quantitative recurrence properties of beta dynamical system ([0,1],Tβ) for general β>1; the size of points with the prescribed recurrence rate is determined. More precisely, Hausdorff dimensions of the sets and are obtained completely, where ψ is a positive function defined on N and f is a positive continuous function on [0,1]. The Ginzburg-Landau theory of superconductivity is examined in the case of a special geometry of the sample, the infinite cylinder. We restrict to axially symmetric solutions and consider models with and without vortices. First putting the Ginzburg-Landau parameter κ formally equal to infinity, the existence of a minimizer of this reduced Ginzburg-Landau energy is proved. Then asymptotic behaviour for large κ of minimizers of the full Ginzburg-Landau energy is analyzed and different convergence results are obtained. Our main result states that, when κ is large, the minimum of the energy is reached when there are about κ vortices at the center of the cylinder. Numerical computations illustrate the various behaviours.  相似文献

We obtain the full classification of invariant symplectic, (almost) complex and Kähler structures, together with their paracomplex analogues, on four-dimensional pseudo-Riemannian generalized symmetric spaces. We also apply these results to build some new examples of five-dimensional homogeneous K-contact, Sasakian, K-paracontact and para-Sasakian manifolds.  相似文献

Given a finite Coxeter system (W,S) and a Coxeter element c, or equivalently an orientation of the Coxeter graph of W, we construct a simple polytope whose outer normal fan is N. Reading's Cambrian fan Fc, settling a conjecture of Reading that this is possible. We call this polytope the c-generalized associahedron. Our approach generalizes Loday's realization of the associahedron (a type A c-generalized associahedron whose outer normal fan is not the cluster fan but a coarsening of the Coxeter fan arising from the Tamari lattice) to any finite Coxeter group. A crucial role in the construction is played by the c-singleton cones, the cones in the c-Cambrian fan which consist of a single maximal cone from the Coxeter fan.Moreover, if W is a Weyl group and the vertices of the permutahedron are chosen in a lattice associated to W, then we show that our realizations have integer coordinates in this lattice.  相似文献

Let F be a fibration on a simply-connected base with symplectic fiber (M,ω). Assume that the fiber is nilpotent and T2k-separable for some integer k or a nilmanifold. Then our main theorem, Theorem 1.8, gives a necessary and sufficient condition for the cohomology class [ω] to extend to a cohomology class of the total space of F. This allows us to describe Thurston?s criterion for a symplectic fibration to admit a compatible symplectic form in terms of the classifying map for the underlying fibration. The obstruction due to Lalond and McDuff for a symplectic bundle to be Hamiltonian is also rephrased in the same vein. Furthermore, with the aid of the main theorem, we discuss a global nature of the set of the homotopy equivalence classes of fibrations with symplectic fiber in which the class [ω] is extendable.  相似文献

We show that in the class T of the triangular maps (x,y)?(f(x),gx(y)) of the square there is a map of type 2 with non-minimal recurrent points which is not DC3. We also show that every DC1 continuous map of a compact metric space has a trajectory which cannot be (weakly) approximated by trajectories of compact periodic sets. These two results make possible to answer some open questions concerning classification of maps in T with zero topological entropy, and contribute to an old problem formulated by A.N. Sharkovsky.  相似文献

In this paper we establish the existence and uniqueness of solutions for nonlinear evolution equations on a Banach space with locally monotone operators, which is a generalization of the classical result for monotone operators. In particular, we show that local monotonicity implies pseudo-monotonicity. The main results are applied to PDE of various types such as porous medium equations, reaction–diffusion equations, the generalized Burgers equation, the Navier–Stokes equation, the 3D Leray-α model and the p-Laplace equation with non-monotone perturbations.  相似文献

We prove that the space of infinitesimal associative deformations of a compact associative submanifold Y with boundary in a coassociative submanifold X is the solution space of an elliptic problem. For a connected boundary ∂Y of genus g, the index is given by Yc1(νX)+1−g, where νX denotes the orthogonal complement of TY in TX|∂Y and c1(νX) the first Chern class of νX with respect to its natural complex structure.
