Complex formation reactions of copper(II) and zinc(II) halides with pyridoxilidene Girard-T hydrazone dihydrate [H3PLGT]Cl2·2H2O and salicylidene Girard-T hydrazone [H2SalGT]Cl ligands are described. The composition of the complexes, determined by customary methods, can be presented by the formulas Cu(HPLGT)X2 (X=Cl and Br ), Zn(HPLGT)Cl2, Cu(HSalGT)Cl2·H2O and Zn(SalGT)Cl·2H2O. The structures of the compounds were compared by powder X-ray diffraction. Thermal stability of the compounds has been examined by TG and DSC. The ligands and the complexes were tested against some gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria and yeast.  相似文献

Cobalt(II), nickel(II), and copper(II) complexes containing 5,12-di(4-bromophenyl)-7,14-dimethyl-1,2,4,8,9,11-hexaazacyclotetradeca-7,14-diene-3,10-dione (H2L1) and 5,12-diphenyl-7,14-dimethyl-1,2,4,8,9,11-hexaazacyclotetradeca-7,14-diene-3,10-dione (H2L2) have been synthesized. All complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, MALDI TOF-MS spectrometry, and electronic absorption spectroscopy. The crystal structures of two compounds, [Cu2(H2L1)Cl4]n and [NiL2], were determined by X-ray powder diffraction. In the polymeric [Cu2(H2L1)Cl4]n, the Cu2Cl4 units and H2L1 molecules are situated on inversion centers. Each Cu(II) has a distorted trigonal-bipyramidal coordination environment formed by N and O from H2L1 [Cu–N 2.340(14)?Å, Cu–O 1.952(11)?Å], two bridging chlorides [Cu–Cl 2.332(5), 2.279(5)?Å] and one terminal chloride [Cu–Cl 2.320(6)?Å]. In the [NiL2] complex, the Ni(II) situated on inversion center has a distorted square-planar coordination environment formed by four nitrogens from L2 [Ni–N 1.860(11), 1.900(11)?Å].  相似文献

The reaction between 3-hydroxy-5-hydroxymethyl-2-methyl-4-pyridinecarboxaldehyde semicarbazone (pyridoxal-semicarbazone or PLSC) and appropriate chloride, sulfate, nitrate or thiocyanate Cu(II) salts in water/alcohol mixtures resulted in the formation of new copper(II) complexes: [Cu(PLSC)Cl2] (1), [Cu(PLSC)(H2O)(SO4)]2·3H2O (2), [Cu2(PLSC)2(NCS)2](NCS)2 (3), [Cu(PLSC)(NO3)2(CH3OH)] (4) and [Cu(PLSC-2H]NH3·H2O (5). The complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, conductometric measurements and IR spectroscopy, while complexes 1, 2, 3 and 4 were further characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction.  相似文献

Mono-and dinuclear ReIV and ReV complexes with 3,5-dimethylpyrazole (Me2pzH) were synthesized. The cis-[Re2O3Cl4(3,5-Me2pzH)4] complex (cis-1) was prepared by the reaction of NH4ReO4 with K[HB(Me2pz)3] in concentrated HCl or by refluxing of [ReCl3(MeCN)(PPh3)2] with Me2pzH in air. The bromide complex trans-[Re2O3Br4(3,5-Me2pzH)4] (trans-2) was synthesized by passing dry HBr through a solution of [Re2O3Br2(μ-3,5-Me2pz)2(3,5-Me2pzH)2] (4) in chloroform. The pyrazolate-bridged complex [Re2O3Cl2(μ-3,5-Me2pz)2(3,5-Me2pzH)2] (3) was prepared from (Et4N)2[ReOCl5] or Cs2[ReOCl5] and Me2pzH. The corresponding bromide and iodide complexes [Re2O3X2(3,5-Me2pz)2(3,5-Me2pzH)2] · C6H6 (X = Br (4) or I (5)) were synthesized by the reactions of (NH4)2[ReBr6] or K2[ReI6], respectively, with Me2pzH. The [ReO(OMe)(3,5-Me2pzH)4]Br2 · · 3,5-Me2pzH · 4H2O complex (6) was obtained as a by-product in the synthesis of complex 4. The reaction of [ReNCl2(PPh3)2] with Me2pzH was accompanied by hydrolytic denitration giving rise to the mixed-ligand complex [Re2O3Cl2(μ-3,5-Me2pz)2(3,5-Me2pzH)(PPh3)] (7). The reaction of (NH4)2[ReBr6] with a Me2pzH melt gave the trans-[ReBr4(3,5-Me2pzH)2] · · Me2CO complex (8). The structures of complexes 2 and 4–8 were established by X-ray diffraction. All compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, electronic absorption spectroscopy, 1H NMR and IR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and cyclic voltammetry. Condensation between 4′-aminobenzo-15-crown-5- and 4-antipyrinecarboxaldehyde yielded the functionalized crown ether (L = 1,5-dimethyl-4-[(2,3,5,6,8,9,11,12-octahydro-1,4,7,10,13-benzopentaoxacyclopentadecin-15-ylimino)methyl]-2-phenyl-1,2-dihydro-3H-pyrazol-3-one). A 1:1 (Na+:L) complex has been prepared. The reaction of Fe(II) and Cu(II) salts with L gave complexes of composition [Fe(L)Cl2] and [Cu(L)2Cl2]. Heteronuclear complexes [Fe(L)Cl2Na]ClO4 and [Cu(L)2Cl2Na]ClO4 have also been synthesized from the reactions of [Fe(L)Cl2] and [Cu(L)2Cl2] with NaClO4. The compounds have been characterized by microanalyses and spectroscopic methods.  相似文献

Some isonicotinoyldithiocarbazate complexes of nickel(II) and copper(II), of general formulae M(IN-Dtcz)2, [M(IN-DtczH)2]Cl2, and [M(IN-DtczH-Sal)2]Cl2 (M?=?Ni(II), Cu(II); INDtcz?=?isonicotinoyldithiocarbazate; IN-DtczH?=?isonicotinoyldithiocarbazic acid; IN-DtczH-Sal?=?salicylaldehyde Schiff base of isonicotinoyldithiocarbazic acid), have been synthesized. These complexes have been investigated by elemental analyses, mass, room temperature infrared and electronic spectra, and variable temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements. The three nickel(II) dithiocarbazates and [Cu(IN-DtczH-Sal)2]Cl2 exhibit NS linkage of the ligands, while Cu(IN-Dtcz)2 and [Cu(IN-DtczH)2]Cl2 have ONS binding of the ligands. The nickel(II) dithiocarbazates have [NiN2S2] chromophore. Magnetic and solution electronic absorption spectral data reveal square-planar geometry for Ni(IN-Dtcz)2 and the existence of square-planar–tetrahedral equilibrium for [Ni(IN-DtczH)2]Cl2 and [Ni(IN-DtczH-Sal)2]Cl2. Copper(II) dithiocarbazates, namely Cu(IN-Dtcz)2, [Cu(IN-DtczH)2]Cl2, with ONS ligands having dimeric or polymeric octahedral structures, and [Cu(IN-DtczH-Sal)2]Cl2, with NS binding having dimeric square-planar structure, exhibit antiferromagnetism. Superexchange pathway involving the bridging nitrogen and sulfur of the isonicotinoyldithiocarbazate ligands rather than direct metal–metal exchange is suggested for antiferromagnetic interactions. The spin exchange parameter, ?2J?=?202.14 and 29.26?cm?1, has been evaluated for [Cu(IN-DtczH)2]Cl2 and [Cu(IN-DtczH-Sal)2]Cl2, respectively, while it could not be evaluated for Cu(IN-Dtcz)2 because the slope was negative due to the non-variation of its magnetic moment with temperature. The difference in antiferromagnetic behavior and inconsistency of 2J for [Cu(IN-DtczH-Sal)2]Cl2 has been attributed to different electronic and steric factors of the three ligands, that is, isonicotinoyldithiocarbazate, its acid, and salicylaldehyde Schiff-base derivative.  相似文献

Two copper(II) complexes, [Cu(L)(N3)2]·MeOH and [Cu(L)(NCS)2]·MeOH, were prepared and characterized by spectroscopic, analytical, and quantum chemical studies, where L is 2,6-bis(1-butylbenzimidazol-2-yl)pyridine. X-ray quality crystals of [Cu(L)(N3)2]·MeOH were obtained by slow evaporation of MeOH solution of the complex. Molecular structure of [Cu(L)(N3)2]·MeOH was determined by X-ray crystallography. The asymmetric unit contains one [Cu(L)(N3)2] and one MeOH molecule. Cu(II) in [Cu(L)(N3)2]·MeOH is five-coordinate, bonded to five nitrogens (three from L and two from two azide anions). Coordination geometry around Cu(II) center is distorted square-pyramidal with τ value of 0.065. Optimized geometries, IR spectra, and non-linear optical properties of the complexes were obtained by computational studies based on density functional theory (DFT) with M062X method. NLO properties of these complexes were investigated computationally and both complexes exhibit better NLO properties than urea.  相似文献

Tetrahedrally distorted copper(II) sparteine pseudohalide complexes having a CuN4 chromophore were prepared and characterized by various spectroscopic techniques and X-ray crystallography. Among them, the crystal structures of copper(II) isothiocyanate complexes with two sparteine epimers, (−)-l-sparteine (Sp) and (−)-α-isosparteine (α-Sp), were determined. The NSp–Cu–NSp plane in copper(II) (−)-l-sparteine isothiocyanate [Cu(Sp)(NCS)2] and copper(II) (−)-α-isosparteine isothiocyanate [Cu(α-Sp)(NCS)2] is twisted by 58.2(6)° and 52.2(9)°, respectively, from the NNCS–Cu–NNCS plane. Based on the values of the dihedral angles and tilted distances of these two complexes, the geometry around Cu(II) in Cu(α-Sp)(NCS)2 is more distorted from the perfect tetrahedron than that in Cu(Sp)(NCS)2. For copper(II) sparteine pseudohalide (NCS and N3) complexes having a CuN4 chromophore, the EPR and the optical spectral data were collected. The results of X-ray crystallography and ESR spectroscopy are in a good agreement with the assumption that the degree of distortion from planarity to tetrahedron will reduce the A|| value of four-coordinate copper(II) sparteine pseudohalide complexes.  相似文献

Four new complexes of Au(III), Pd(II), Ni(II), and Cu(II) ions were synthesized, derived from a novel heterocyclic ligand (L) that has both triazole and tetrazole rings. The ligand synthesis was through successive steps to achieve both heterocyclic rings. The synthesized compounds were characterized using conventional techniques like infrared, ultra violet—visible and proton/carbon nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, metal and thermal analyses, and molar conductivity. All complexes were suggested to have square planar geometry, gold, nickel, and palladium complexes were salts while copper neutral complexes have the chemical formulas; [AuL2]Cl.2H2O, [PdL2]Cl2.2H2O, [NiL2]Cl2.2H2O, and [CuL2]. The cytotoxic effect was studied on breast cancer cell line (MCF‐7 cell line) at different concentrations by using the 3‐(4,5‐dimethylthiazol‐2‐yl)‐2,5‐diphenyltetrazolium bromide assay method, for the ligand (L) and complexes. The results showed that gold(III) and nickel(II) complexes have the highest cytotoxicity among all compounds against cancer cell lines.  相似文献

Pyridine-2-carbonitrile (2-CNpy) undergoes Cu(II) or Co(II)-promoted hydrolysis to pyridine-2-carboxamide (piaH) and/or pyridine-2-carboxylic acid (pycH). The pathway of pycH formation depends on the presence of 2-amino-2-hydroxymethyl-1,3-propanediol (AL1) and on the central atom. In the absence of AL1, Co(II) or Cu(II) ions mediate piaH formation under mild reaction conditions in the first hydrolytic step. Cu(II) ions assist in piaH transformation to pycH by subsequent reflux. In the presence of AL1 and Co(II), a Co(II) complex containing pyoxaL1 (2-(2-pyridinyl)-4,4-bis(hydroxymethyl)-2-oxazoline) is formed in the first stage; subsequent decomposition of pyoxaL1 under the reflux yields pycH. Under similar conditions, no solid Cu(II) complex with pyoxaL1 can be isolated, but a Cu(II) complex with coordinated pyc anions precipitates from the reaction mixture. The synthesis, spectral and magnetic properties of the complexes [Co(H2O)2 (piaH)2]Cl2, [Co(H2O)2(pyc)2] · 2H2O, [Cu(H2O)2(piaH)2]Cl2, [Cu(pyc)2] and [Cu(pyc)2] · 2H2O, including the structure determination of the latter one, are described.  相似文献

A novel route for the synthesis of Cu(II)‐triazolophthalazine complexes using the Cu(II)‐promoted cyclization dehydrogenation reactions of hydrazonophthalazines under reflux was presented. Two hydrazonophthalazines were cyclized to the corresponding triazolophthalazine ligands, 3‐pyridin‐2‐yl‐3,10b‐dihydro‐[1,2,4]triazolo[3,4‐a]phthalazine ( TPP ) and 3‐(3,10b‐dihydro‐[1,2,4]triazolo[3,4‐a]phthalazin‐3‐yl)‐benzoic acid ( TP3COOH ), followed by in situ complexation with Cu(II) yielding six novel Cu(II)‐triazolophthalazine complexes depending on the reaction conditions. The molecular and supramolecular structures of the Cu(II)‐triazolophthalazine complexes were discussed. The metal sites have rectangular pyramidal geometry in the [Cu(TPP)Cl2]2; 1 and [Cu(TP3COOEt)Cl2(H2O)]2; 4 dinuclear complexes, distorted square planar in [Cu(TP3COOMe)2Cl2]; 3 , [Cu(TP3COOH)2Cl2]; 5 and [Cu(TP3COOH)2Cl2]·H2O; 6 and a distorted octahedral in [Cu(TPP)(H2O)2(NO3)2]; 2 . Hirshfeld analysis showed that the O…H, C…H, Cl…H (except TP3COOH and 2 ), N…H and π‐π stacking interactions are the most important intermolecular contacts. The π‐π stacking interactions are the maximum for TP3COOH and complex 6 with net C…C/C…N contacts of 19.4% and 15.4%, respectively. The orbital–orbital interaction energies of the Cu‐N/Cu‐Cl bonds correlated inversely with the corresponding Cu‐N/Cu‐Cl distances, respectively. The charge transfer processes between Cu(II) and ligand groups were also discussed. The charge densities of the Cu(II) centers are reduced to 0.663–0.995 e due to the interactions with the ligand groups coordinating it.  相似文献

Four copper(II) coordination polymers, {[Cu(pz(COO)2)(H2O)]4·HBr}n (1), {[Cu(pz(COO)2)(NH3)2]·H2O}n (2), {[Cu3H2(pz(COO)2)4(H2O)3]·2H2O}n (3) and {[Cu2(pz(COO)2)2(NH3)2(H2O)3][Cu(pz(COO)2)(NH3)(H2O)2][Cu(pz(COO)2)(NH3)(H2O)]·2H2O}n (4) were synthesized using pyrazine-2,3-dicarboxylic acid, CuBr2, 2-(2-aminoethylamino)ethanol/triethanol amine/ammonia in a methanol:water (1:1) solution, and the mixed ligand complexes were characterized by spectroscopic methods, thermal and elemental analysis, and magnetic susceptibility. Complexes 2 and 4 were also characterized by means of single crystal X-ray crystallography. The characterizations show that the complexes have polynuclear molecular structures, except for complex 2, and all of the complex structures form polymeric chains. Complex 4 has a pseudo-merohedral twin structure.  相似文献

Mono- and binuclear copper(II) complexes derived from substituted aroylhydrazoneoximes of the general formulae [Cu(H2LR)Cl2nH2O, [Cu(HLR)Cl], [{Cu(HLR)}2]·2NO3·nH2O and [{Cu(LR)}2nH2O have been prepared and characterized, where H2LR, HLR and LR refer, respectively, to the neutral, monoanionic and dianionic ONN tridentate aroylhydrazoneoxime ligands. Electrospray ionization (ESI) mass spectra revealed the formation of tri- and tetranuclear copper(II) complexes in dimethylformamide (DMF) or dimethysulphoxide (DMSO) solutions. The effect of substitution in the aroylhydrazone residue on the degree of deprotonation of the ligand and the energies of d–d transitions of the copper(II) complexes have been studied. Tuning of the antiferromagnetic exchange coupling by different substituents in [{Cu(HLR)}2]·2NO3·nH2O and [{Cu(LR)}2nH2O complexes have been discussed.  相似文献

The reaction of [M(L)]Cl2 · 2H2O (M = Ni2+ and Cu2+, L = 3,14-dimethyl-2,6,13,17-tetraazatricyclo[14,4,01.18,07.12]docosane) with 1,1-cyclobutanedicarboxylic acid (H2-cbdc) generates 1D and 2D hydrogen-bonded infinite chains [Ni(L)(H-cbdc)2] (1) and [Cu(L)(H-cbdc)2] (2). (H-cbdc = cyclobutane-1-carboxylic acid-1-carboxylate). These complexes have been characterized by X-ray crystallography, spectroscopy, and cyclic voltammetry. The crystal structure of 1 shows a distorted octahedral coordination geometry around the nickel(II) ion, with four secondary amines and two oxygen atoms of the H-cbdc ligand at the trans position. In 2, the coordination environment around the central copper(II) ion shows a Jahn–Teller distorted octahedron with four Cu–N bonds and two long Cu–O distances. The cyclic voltammogram of the complexes undergoes two one-electron waves corresponding to MII/MIII and MII/MI processes. The electronic spectra and electrochemical behavior of the complexes are significantly affected by the nature of the axial H-cbdc ligand.  相似文献

The crystal structures of [Cu(dpyam)2(NCS)2][Cu(dpyam)2(NCS)](BF4) (1) and [Cu(dpyam)2(NCS)1.14I0.86][Cu(dpyam)2(NCS)0.77I0.23]I (2) (dpyam?=?di-2-pyridylamine) have been determined by single-crystal X-ray methods. Species 1 and 2 consist of two crystallographically independent Cu-bearing complexes, one being centrosymmetric and octahedrally elongated, and the other close to square pyramidal. The structures of both complexes and their EPR and electronic reflectance spectra are discussed and compared with those of related complexes.  相似文献

Summary A series of cobalt(II), nickel(II) and copper(II) complexes of 2-picolinamineN-oxide, HA, has been prepared. Solids of formula [M(HA)3](BF4)2 (M=cobalt(II) or nickel(II); [Cu(HA)2]X2 (X=BF 4 , NO 3 ); [Co(HA)2X2] (X=Cl or Br); [Ni(HA)2Cl2] and [Cu(HA)X2] (X=Cl or Br] have been isolated and characterized by partial elemental analyses, molar conductivities, magnetic susceptibilities, DSC-TGA, and spectral methods. All complexes were found to be monomeric, and their spectral parameters are compared with those of the metal ion complexes ofN-alkyl-2-picolinamineN-oxides, 2-dialkylaminopyridineN-oxides and 2-picolinamine. The cobalt(II) and nickel(II) halide complexes spectrally show a mixture of octahedral and tetrahedral centres.  相似文献

Abstract Two new square planar Cu(II) and Ni(II) complexes, [CuL1(NCO)] (1) and [NiL2(N3)] (2) have been synthesized with two different tridentate N2O donor Schiff base ligands L 1 H (1:1 condensation product of benzoylacetone and 2-diethylaminoethylamine) and L 2 H (1:1 condensation product of benzoylacetone and 2-dimethylaminoethylamine), respectively. Both the complexes 1 and 2 have been characterized by elemental analysis, IR, UV-Vis spectroscopy, room temperature magnetic susceptibility measurement, electrochemical, thermal, and single crystal X-ray diffraction studies. Structural studies reveal that in both the complexes metal centers have square planar environment with N2O donor set of Schiff base ligands and terminal pseudohalide anions (isocyanate for 1 and azide for 2) at four coordination sites of square plane. A yellow compound which was crystallised from a solution of (6,8,8,14,16,16-hexamethyl-1,5,9,13-tetraazacyclohexadeca-5,13-diene)bis(isothiocyanato)nickel(II) in aqueous zinc(II) chloride has cations with singlet ground state nickel(II) in square-planar coordination by the nitrogen atoms of the macrocycle. The asymmetric unit has two similar cations. The N4 group of one cation is near coplanar (r.m.s. displacements ±0.009(1) Å, with Ni displaced by 0.048(1) Å from this plane) while the other cation has significant tetrahedral twisting of the N4 group (r.m.s. displacements of N atoms ±0.126(2) Å, with Ni displaced by 0.027(2) Å from this plane). The mean Ni–N distances are Ni–Namine = 1.950(6) and Ni–Nimine = 1.897(6) Å. Both cations have N-meso configurations with saddle conformations, with the substituted chelate rings in boat conformations tilted to one side of the NiN4 ‘plane’ and the unsubstituted chelate rings tilted to the other side, one in a boat conformation and the other with the central methylene group disordered, the components forming boat {s.o.f. 0.70(1) and 0.74(1) for the two cations} and chair conformation chelate rings. The counter-ions have tetrahedrally coordinated zinc(II) ions, one as [ZnCl2(NCS)2]2− ions and the other with one ligand site with disordered Cl {s.o.f. 0.78(1)} and NCS ligands, i.e. with disordered [ZnCl2(NCS)2]2− and [ZnCl(NCS)3]2− ions, with an overall composition of [Ni(trans-Me6[16]diene)][ZnCl1.9(NCS)2.1].  相似文献

An N3O Schiff base (L), 1?:?1 condensate of benzil monohydrazone and 4-pyridine carboxaldehyde, and its Zn(II), Cd(II), and Ag(I) complexes were synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses and various spectroscopic techniques. The crystal structures of [ZnL2Br2] (1), [CdL2I2]·CH2Cl2, (2)·CH2Cl2, and [Ag(L)2]ClO4 (3) have been determined using X-ray crystallography. The Zn(II) and Cd(II) complexes show a tetrahedral configuration whereas in the asymmetric unit of 3, two independent coordination units of Ag(I) are present. Carbonyl–silver interaction, weak C–H?O interaction, and also π–π interaction are present in 3 in the solid state. The synthesized complexes have antibacterial activity against Klebsiella pneumoniae 114, Escherichia coli K88, Salmonella typhi ATCC 34, Bacillus subtilis UC564, and Staphylococcus aureus ATCC25923. The results showed that in some cases the antibacterial activities of the complexes were comparable to standard antibiotics Tetracycline and Streptomycin. The antifungal activities of the complexes were also studied for Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus oryzae, Penicillium notatum, and Saccharomyces cerevisiae. MIC values of 1, 2·CH2Cl2, and 3 are less than the Nystatin standard.  相似文献
