Bo?ek(1980) has introduced a class of solvable Lie groups Gnwith arbitrary odd dimension to construct irreducible generalized symmetric Riemannian space such that the identity component of its full isometry group is solvable. In this article, the authors provide the set of all left-invariant minimal unit vector fields on the solvable Lie group Gn,and give the relationships between the minimal unit vector fields and the geodesic vector fields, the strongly normal unit vectors respectively.  相似文献

This paper deals with representations of groups by "affine" automorphisms of compact,convex spaces,with special focus on "irreducible" representations:equivalently "minimal" actions.When the group in question is PSL(2,R),the authors exhibit a oneone correspondence between bounded harmonic functions on the upper half-plane and a certain class of irreducible representations.This analysis shows that,surprisingly,all these representations are equivalent.In fact,it is found that all irreducible affine representations of this group are equivalent.The key to this is a property called "linear Stone-Weierstrass"for group actions on compact spaces.If it holds for the "universal strongly proximal space"of the group (to be defined),then the induced action on the space of probability measures on this space is the unique irreducible affine representation of the group.  相似文献

Let H be an extension of a finite group Q by a finite group G. Inspired by the results of duality theorems for tale gerbes on orbifolds, the authors describe the number of conjugacy classes of H that map to the same conjugacy class of Q. Using a strong version of the Curve Selection Lemma for real semianalytic sets, we prove that for an arbitrary connected Lie group G, each connected component of the set E_n(G)of all elements of order n in G is a conjugacy class in G. In particular, all conjugacy classes of finite order in G are closed. Some properties of connected components of E_n(G) are also given.  相似文献

By using the idea of Wakimoto's free field,we construct a class of representations for the Lie superalgebra D(2,1;α) on the tensor product of a polynomial algebra and an exterior algebra involving one parameter λ.Then we obtain the necessary and sufficient condition for the representations to be irreducible.In fact,the representation is irreducible if and only if the parameter λ satisfies(λ + m)(λ-(1+α)/αm) = 0 for any m∈Z_+.  相似文献

In this paper, a bridge between near-homogeneous and homogeneous vector fields in R 3 is found. By the relationship between homogeneous vector fields and the induced tangent vector fields of two-dimensional manifold S 2 , we prove the existence of at least 5 isolated closed orbits for a class of n + 1 (n ≥ 2) systems in R 3 , which are located on the five invariant closed cones of the system.  相似文献

Let Uε(g) be the simply connected quantized enveloping algebra at roots of one associated to a finite dimensional complex simple Lie algebra g. The De Concini-Kac-Procesi conjecture on the dimension of the irreducible representations of Uε(g) is proved for the representations corresponding to the spherical conjugacy classes of the simply connected algebraic group G with Lie algebra g. We offer a method for constructing invariants of the coadjoint representation of Lie groups that reduces this problem to known problems of linear algebra. This method is based on passing to symplectic coordinates on the coadjoint representation orbits, which play the role of local coordinates on those orbits. The corresponding transition functions are their parametric equations. Eliminating the symplectic coordinates from the transition functions, we can obtain the complete set of invariants. The proposed method allows solving the problem of constructing invariants of the coadjoint representation for Lie groups with an arbitrary dimension and structure.  相似文献

Completely integrable KdV systems are described on coadjoint orbits, which are isospectral classes of periodic regular difference operators. We consider equations on Lie groups and classical and quantum Hamiltonian systems on coadjoint representation orbits. We show that the transition to canonical coordinates on orbits of the coadjoint representation allows constructing semiclassical solutions and the corresponding spectra of quantum equations such that all the symmetries of the original problem are preserved. We define the (second) Adler-Gelfand-Dickey Poisson structure on differential operators over an elliptic curve and classify symplectic leaves of this structure. This problem leads to the problem of classification of coadjoint orbits for double loop algebras, conjugacy classes in loop groups, and holomorphic vector bundles over the elliptic curve. We show that symplectic leaves have a finite but (unlike the traditional case of operators on the circle) arbitrarily large codimension, and compute it explicitly.  相似文献

For certain nilpotent real Lie groups constructed as semidirect products, algebras of invariant differential operators on some coadjoint orbits are used in the study of boundedness properties of the Weyl–Pedersen calculus of their corresponding unitary irreducible representations. Our main result is applicable to all unitary irreducible representations of arbitrary 3-step nilpotent Lie groups.  相似文献
