In goal programming problem, the general equilibrium and optimization are often two conflicting factors. This paper proposes a generalized varying-domain optimization method for fuzzy goal programming (FGP) incorporating multiple priorities. According to the three possible styles of the objective function, the varying-domain optimization method and its generalization are proposed. This method can generate the results consistent with the decision-maker (DM)’s expectation, that the goal with higher priority may have higher level of satisfaction. Using this new method, it is a simple process to balance between the equilibrium and optimization, and the result is the consequence of a synthetic decision between them. In contrast to the previous method, the proposed method can make that the higher priority achieving the higher satisfactory degree. To get the global solution of the nonlinear nonconvex programming problem resulting from the original problem and the varying-domain optimization method, the co-evolutionary genetic algorithms (GAs), called GENOCOPIII, is used instead of the SQP method. In this way the DM can get the optimum of the optimization problem. We demonstrate the power of this proposed method by illustrative examples.  相似文献

In this paper, two new algorithms are presented to solve multi-level multi-objective linear programming (ML-MOLP) problems through the fuzzy goal programming (FGP) approach. The membership functions for the defined fuzzy goals of all objective functions at all levels are developed in the model formulation of the problem; so also are the membership functions for vectors of fuzzy goals of the decision variables, controlled by decision makers at the top levels. Then the fuzzy goal programming approach is used to achieve the highest degree of each of the membership goals by minimizing their deviational variables and thereby obtain the most satisfactory solution for all decision makers.  相似文献

A note on chance constrained programming with fuzzy coefficients   总被引:17,自引:0,他引:17
This paper deals with nonlinear chance constrained programming as well as multiobjective case and goal programming with fuzzy coefficients occurring in not only constraints but also objectives. We also present a fuzzy simulation technique for handling fuzzy objective constraints and fuzzy goal constraints. Finally, a fuzzy simulation based genetic algorithm is employed to solve a numerical example.  相似文献

Manpower scheduling is an intricate problem in production and service environments with the purpose of generating fair schedules that consider employers’ objectives and employees’ preferences as much as possible. However, sometimes, vagueness of information related to employers’ objectives and employees’ preferences leads to the fuzzy nature of the problem. This paper presents a multi-objective manpower scheduling model regarding the lack of clarity on the target values of employers’ objectives and employees’ preferences. Hence, a fuzzy goal programming model is developed for the presented model. Afterwards, two fuzzy solution approaches are used to convert the fuzzy goal programming model to two single-objective models. Finally, the results obtained by both single-objective models are compared with each other to select the solution that has the greatest degree of the satisfaction level of employers’ objectives and employees’ preferences.  相似文献

This paper extended the concept of the technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) to develop a methodology for solving multi-level non-linear multi-objective decision-making (MLN-MODM) problems of maximization-type. Also, two new interactive algorithms are presented for the proposed TOPSIS approach for solving these types of mathematical programming problems. The first proposed interactive TOPSIS algorithm includes the membership functions of the decision variables for each level except the lower level of the multi-level problem. These satisfactory decisions are evaluated separately by solving the corresponding single-level MODM problems. The second proposed interactive TOPSIS algorithm lexicographically solves the MODM problems of the MLN-MOLP problem by taking into consideration the decisions of the MODM problems for the upper levels. To demonstrate the proposed algorithms, a numerical example is solved and compared the solutions of proposed algorithms with the solution of the interactive algorithm of Osman et al. (2003) [4]. Also, an example of an application is presented to clarify the applicability of the proposed TOPSIS algorithms in solving real world multi-level multi-objective decision-making problems.  相似文献

By uncertain programming we mean the optimization theory in generally uncertain (random, fuzzy, fuzzy random, grey, etc.) environments. Three broad classes of uncertain programming are expected value models and chance-constrained programming as well as dependent-chance programming. In order to solve general uncertain programming models, a simulation-based genetic algorithm is also documented. Finally, some applications and further research problems appearing in this area are posed.  相似文献

The concern about environmental impact of business activities has spurred an interest in designing environmentally conscious supply chains. This paper proposes a multi-objective fuzzy mathematical programming model for designing an environmental supply chain under inherent uncertainty of input data in such problem. The proposed model is able to consider the minimization of multiple environmental impacts beside the traditional cost minimization objective to make a fair balance between them. A life cycle assessment-based (LCA-based) method is applied to assess and quantify the environmental impact of different options for supply chain network configuration. Also, to solve the proposed multi-objective fuzzy optimization model, an interactive fuzzy solution approach is developed. A real industrial case is used to demonstrate the significance and applicability of the developed fuzzy optimization model as well as the usefulness of the proposed solution approach.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to solve a supplier selection problem under multi-price level and multi-product using interactive two-phase fuzzy multi-objective linear programming (FMOLP) model. The proposed model attempts to simultaneously minimize total purchasing and ordering costs, a number of defective units, and late delivered units ordered from suppliers. The piecewise linear membership functions are applied to represent the decision maker’s fuzzy goals for the supplier selection and order allocation problem, and can be resulted in more flexibility via an interactive decision-making process. To demonstrate effectiveness of the proposed model, results of applying the proposed model are shown by a numerical example. The analytical results show that the proposed approach is effective in uncertain environments and provide a reliable decision tool for integrated multi-objective supplier selection problems.  相似文献

The non-dominate sorting genetic algorithmic-II (NSGA-II) is an effective algorithm for finding Pareto-optimal front for multi-objective optimization problems. To further enhance the advantage of the NSGA-II, this study proposes an evaluative-NSGA-II (E-NSGA-II) in which a novel gene-therapy method incorporates into the crossover operation to retain superior schema patterns in evolutionary population and enhance its solution capability. The merit of each select gene in a crossover chromosome is estimated by exchanging the therapeutic genes in both mating chromosomes and observing their fitness differentiation. Hence, the evaluative crossover operation can generate effective genomes based on the gene merit without explicitly analyzing the solution space. Experiments for nine unconstrained multi-objective benchmarks and four constrained problems show that E-NSGA-II can find Pareto-optimal solutions in all test cases with better convergence and diversity qualities than several existing algorithms.  相似文献

This paper describes a new multiobjective interactive memetic algorithm applied to dynamic location problems. The memetic algorithm integrates genetic procedures and local search. It is able to solve capacitated and uncapacitated multi-objective single or multi-level dynamic location problems. These problems are characterized by explicitly considering the possibility of a facility being open, closed and reopen more than once during the planning horizon. It is possible to distinguish the opening and reopening periods, assigning them different coefficient values in the objective functions. The algorithm is part of an interactive procedure that asks the decision maker to define interesting search areas by establishing limits to the objective function values or by indicating reference points. The procedure will be applied to some illustrative location problems.  相似文献

A learning process for fuzzy control rules using genetic algorithms   总被引:10,自引:0,他引:10
The purpose of this paper is to present a genetic learning process for learning fuzzy control rules from examples. It is developed in three stages: the first one is a fuzzy rule genetic generating process based on a rule learning iterative approach, the second one combines two kinds of rules, experts rules if there are and the previously generated fuzzy control rules, removing the redundant fuzzy rules, and the thrid one is a tuning process for adjusting the membership functions of the fuzzy rules. The three components of the learning process are developed formulating suitable genetic algorithms.  相似文献

This paper presents a new procedure that extends genetic algorithms from their traditional domain of optimization to fuzzy ranking strategy for selecting efficient portfolios of restricted cardinality. The uncertainty of the returns on a given portfolio is modeled using fuzzy quantities and a downside risk function is used to describe the investor's aversion to risk. The fitness functions are based both on the value and the ambiguity of the trapezoidal fuzzy number which represents the uncertainty on the return. The soft-computing approach allows us to consider uncertainty and vagueness in databases and also to incorporate subjective characteristics into the portfolio selection problem. We use a data set from the Spanish stock market to illustrate the performance of our approach to the portfolio selection problem.  相似文献

This paper covers an investigation on the effects of diversity control in the search performances of single-objective and multi-objective genetic algorithms. The diversity control is achieved by means of eliminating duplicated individuals in the population and dictating the survival of non-elite individuals via either a deterministic or a stochastic selection scheme. In the case of single-objective genetic algorithm, onemax and royal road R 1 functions are used during benchmarking. In contrast, various multi-objective benchmark problems with specific characteristics are utilised in the case of multi-objective genetic algorithm. The results indicate that the use of diversity control with a correct parameter setting helps to prevent premature convergence in single-objective optimisation. Furthermore, the use of diversity control also promotes the emergence of multi-objective solutions that are close to the true Pareto optimal solutions while maintaining a uniform solution distribution along the Pareto front.  相似文献

Fuzzy linear programming with trapezoidal fuzzy numbers (TrFNs) is considered and a new method is developed to solve it. In this method, TrFNs are used to capture imprecise or uncertain information for the imprecise objective coefficients and/or the imprecise technological coefficients and/or available resources. The auxiliary multi-objective programming is constructed to solve the corresponding possibility linear programming with TrFNs. The auxiliary multi-objective programming involves four objectives: minimizing the left spread, maximizing the right spread, maximizing the left endpoint of the mode and maximizing the middle point of the mode. Three approaches are proposed to solve the constructed auxiliary multi-objective programming, including optimistic approach, pessimistic approach and linear sum approach based on membership function. An investment example and a transportation problem are presented to demonstrate the implementation process of this method. The comparison analysis shows that the fuzzy linear programming with TrFNs developed in this paper generalizes the possibility linear programming with triangular fuzzy numbers.  相似文献

Real engineering design problems are generally characterized by the presence of many often conflicting and incommensurable objectives. Naturally, these objectives involve many parameters whose possible values may be assigned by the experts. The aim of this paper is to introduce a hybrid approach combining three optimization techniques, dynamic programming (DP), genetic algorithms and particle swarm optimization (PSO). Our approach integrates the merits of both DP and artificial optimization techniques and it has two characteristic features. Firstly, the proposed algorithm converts fuzzy multiobjective optimization problem to a sequence of a crisp nonlinear programming problems. Secondly, the proposed algorithm uses H-SOA for solving nonlinear programming problem. In which, any complex problem under certain structure can be solved and there is no need for the existence of some properties rather than traditional methods that need some features of the problem such as differentiability and continuity. Finally, with different degree of α we get different α-Pareto optimal solution of the problem. A numerical example is given to illustrate the results developed in this paper.  相似文献

This paper proposes an enhanced interactive satisficing method via alternative tolerance for fuzzy goal programming with progressive preference. The alternative tolerances of the fuzzy objectives with three types of fuzzy relations are used to model progressive preference of decision maker. In order to improve the dissatisficing objectives, the relaxed satisficing objectives are sacrificed by modifying their tolerant limits. By means of attainable reference point, the auxiliary programming is designed to generate the tolerances of the dissatisficing objectives for ensuring feasibility. Correspondingly, the membership functions are updated or the objective constraints are added. The Max–Min goal programming model (or the revised one) and the test model of the M-Pareto optimality are solved lexicographically. By our method, the dissatisficing objectives are improved iteratively till the preferred result is acquired. Illustrative examples show its power.  相似文献

In this paper we first recall some definitions and results of fuzzy plane geometry, and then introduce some definitions in the geometry of two-dimensional fuzzy linear programming (FLP). After defining the optimal solution based on these definitions, we use the geometric approach for obtaining optimal solution(s) and show that the algebraic solutions obtained by Zimmermann method (ZM) and our geometric solutions are the same. Finally, numerical examples are solved by these two methods.  相似文献

Bilevel programming involves two optimization problems where the constraint region of the first level problem is implicitly determined by another optimization problem. This paper develops a genetic algorithm for the linear bilevel problem in which both objective functions are linear and the common constraint region is a polyhedron. Taking into account the existence of an extreme point of the polyhedron which solves the problem, the algorithm aims to combine classical extreme point enumeration techniques with genetic search methods by associating chromosomes with extreme points of the polyhedron. The numerical results show the efficiency of the proposed algorithm. In addition, this genetic algorithm can also be used for solving quasiconcave bilevel problems provided that the second level objective function is linear.  相似文献

Multiplicative programming problems (MPPs) are global optimization problems known to be NP-hard. In this paper, we employ algorithms developed to compute the entire set of nondominated points of multi-objective linear programmes (MOLPs) to solve linear MPPs. First, we improve our own objective space cut and bound algorithm for convex MPPs in the special case of linear MPPs by only solving one linear programme in each iteration, instead of two as the previous version indicates. We call this algorithm, which is based on Benson’s outer approximation algorithm for MOLPs, the primal objective space algorithm. Then, based on the dual variant of Benson’s algorithm, we propose a dual objective space algorithm for solving linear MPPs. The dual algorithm also requires solving only one linear programme in each iteration. We prove the correctness of the dual algorithm and use computational experiments comparing our algorithms to a recent global optimization algorithm for linear MPPs from the literature as well as two general global optimization solvers to demonstrate the superiority of the new algorithms in terms of computation time. Thus, we demonstrate that the use of multi-objective optimization techniques can be beneficial to solve difficult single objective global optimization problems.  相似文献

Narasimhan incorporated fuzzy set theory within goal programming formulation in 1980. Since then numerous research has been carried out in this field. One of the well-known models for solving fuzzy goal programming problems was proposed by Hannan in 1981. In this paper the conventional MINMAX approach in goal programming is applied to solve fuzzy goal programming problems. It is proved that the proposed model is an extension to Hannan model that deals with unbalanced triangular linear membership functions. In addition, it is shown that the new model is equivalent to a model proposed in 1991 by Yang et al. Moreover, a weighted model of the new approach is introduced and is compared with Kim and Whang’s model presented in 1998. A numerical example is given to demonstrate the validity and strengths of the new models.  相似文献
