This paper assumes the organization as a distributed decision network. It proposes an approach based on application and extension of information theory concepts, in order to analyze informational complexity in a decision network, due to interdependence between decision centers.Based on this approach, new quantitative concepts and definitions are proposed in order to measure the information in a decision center, based on Shannon entropy and its complement in possibility theory, U uncertainty. This approach also measures the quantity of interdependence between decision centers and informational complexity of decision networks.The paper presents an agent-based model of organization as a graph composed of decision centers. The application of the proposed approach is in analyzing and assessing a measure to the organization structure efficiency, based on informational communication view. The structure improvement, analysis of information flow in organization and grouping algorithms are investigated in this paper. The results obtained from this model in different systems as distributed decision networks, clarifies the importance of structure and information distribution sources effect’s on network efficiency.  相似文献

We study a second-order quasilinear ultraparabolic equation whose matrix of the coefficients of the second derivatives is nonnegative, depends on the time and spatial variables, and can change rank in the case when it is diagonal and the coefficients of the first derivatives can be discontinuous. We prove that if the equation is a priori known to enjoy the maximum principle and satisfies the additional “genuine nonlinearity” condition then the Cauchy problem with arbitrary bounded initial data has at least one entropy solution and every uniformly bounded set of entropy solutions is relatively compact in L loc 1 . The proofs are based on introduction and systematic study of the kinetic formulation of the equation in question and application of the modification of the Tartar H-measures proposed by E. Yu. Analog missions are real-life, Earth-based science missions whose purpose is to help understand the operations, techniques, and technologies required to perform similar tasks during future human spaceflight missions. The goal of performing an analog mission is to prepare crewmembers and support teams for future space missions in a low risk, low-cost environment. Vehicle, habitat, and surface terrain simulators are used to test hardware, operations, and tasks repeatedly for analog missions. This study presents a multi-criteria decision making model that was developed for the Integrated Human Exploration Mission Simulation Facility project at Johnson Space Center to assess the priority of a set of human spaceflight mission simulators. The proposed framework integrates subjective judgments derived from the analytic hierarchy process with entropy data into a preference model to prioritize five mission simulators for the human exploration of Mars.  相似文献

The paper considers a discrete stochastic multiple criteria decision making problem. This problem is defined by a finite set of actions A, a set of attributes X and a set of evaluations of actions with respect to attributes E. In stochastic case the evaluation of each action with respect to each attribute takes form of a probability distribution. Thus, the comparison of two actions leads to the comparison of two vectors of probability distributions. In the paper a new procedure for solving this problem is proposed. It is based on three concepts: stochastic dominance, interactive approach, and preference threshold. The idea of the procedure comes from the interactive multiple objective goal programming approach. The set of actions is progressively reduced as the decision maker specifies additional requirements. At the beginning the decision maker is asked to define preference threshold for each attribute. Next, at each iteration the decision maker is confronted with the set of considered actions. If the decision maker is able to make a final choice then the procedure ends, otherwise he/she is asked to specify aspiration level. A didactical example is presented to illustrate the proposed technique.  相似文献

Within the multicriteria aggregation–disaggregation framework, ordinal regression aims at inducing the parameters of a decision model, for example those of a utility function, which have to represent some holistic preference comparisons of a Decision Maker (DM). Usually, among the many utility functions representing the DM’s preference information, only one utility function is selected. Since such a choice is arbitrary to some extent, recently robust ordinal regression has been proposed with the purpose of taking into account all the sets of parameters compatible with the DM’s preference information. Until now, robust ordinal regression has been implemented to additive utility functions under the assumption of criteria independence. In this paper we propose a non-additive robust ordinal regression on a set of alternatives A, whose utility is evaluated in terms of the Choquet integral which permits to represent the interaction among criteria, modelled by the fuzzy measures, parameterizing our approach.  相似文献

The theory of intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IFSs) is well suitable to deal with vagueness and hesitancy. In the present communication, a new parametric (R,S)-norm intuitionistic fuzzy entropy is proposed with the proof of validity and some of its properties also discussed. The intuitionistic fuzzy entropy is useful to represent the decision information in decision making process since it is characterized by the degree of satisfiability, degree of non-satisfiability and hesitancy degree. Based on this proposed IF entropy, a new multiple attribute decision making (MADM) method is introduced and compared with an existing method. In case of attributes weight, two cases (one with completely unknown attributes weight and other with partially known attributes weight) are discussed with the help of examples. In the end, a case study of insurance companies on the basis of service qualitities is given.  相似文献

We consider a hyperbolic conservation law posed on an (N+1)-dimensional spacetime, whose flux is a field of differential forms of degree N. Generalizing the classical Kuznetsov’s method, we derive an L1 error estimate which applies to a large class of approximate solutions. In particular, we apply our main theorem and deal with two entropy solutions associated with distinct flux fields, as well as with an entropy solution and an approximate solution. Our framework encompasses, for instance, equations posed on a globally hyperbolic Lorentzian manifold.  相似文献

The level dependent Choquet integral has been proposed to handle decision making problems in which the importance and the interaction of criteria may depend on the level of the alternatives’ evaluations. This integral is based on a level dependent capacity, which is a family of single capacities associated to each level of evaluation for the considered criteria. We present two possible formulations of the level dependent capacity where importance and interaction of criteria are constant inside each one of the subintervals in which the interval of evaluations for considered criteria is split or vary with continuity inside the whole interval of evaluations. Since, in general, there is not only one but many level dependent capacities compatible with the preference information provided by the Decision Maker, we propose to take into account all of them by using the Robust Ordinal Regression (ROR) and the Stochastic Multicriteria Acceptability Analysis (SMAA). On one hand, ROR defines a necessary preference relation (if an alternative a is at least as good as an alternative b for all compatible level dependent capacities), and a possible preference relation (if a is at least as good as b for at least one compatible level dependent capacity). On the other hand, considering a random sampling of compatible level dependent capacities, SMAA gives the probability that each alternative reaches a certain ranking position as well as the probability that an alternative is preferred to another. A real-world decision problem on rankings of universities is provided to illustrate the proposed methodology.  相似文献

We propose a new fuzzy rough set approach which, differently from most known fuzzy set extensions of rough set theory, does not use any fuzzy logical connectives (t-norm, t-conorm, fuzzy implication). As there is no rationale for a particular choice of these connectives, avoiding this choice permits to reduce the part of arbitrary in the fuzzy rough approximation. Another advantage of the new approach is that it is based on the ordinal properties of fuzzy membership degrees only. The concepts of fuzzy lower and upper approximations are thus proposed, creating a base for induction of fuzzy decision rules having syntax and semantics of gradual rules. The proposed approach to rule induction is also interesting from the viewpoint of philosophy supporting data mining and knowledge discovery, because it is concordant with the method of concomitant variations by John Stuart Mill. The decision rules are induced from lower and upper approximations defined for positive and negative relationships between credibility degrees of multiple premises, on one hand, and conclusion, on the other hand.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the newsvendor model under partial information, i.e., where the demand distribution D is partly unknown. We focus on the classical case where the retailer only knows the expectation and variance of D. The standard approach is then to determine the order quantity using conservative rules such as minimax regret or Scarf’s rule. We compute instead the most likely demand distribution in the sense of maximum entropy. We then compare the performance of the maximum entropy approach with minimax regret and Scarf’s rule on large samples of randomly drawn demand distributions. We show that the average performance of the maximum entropy approach is considerably better than either alternative, and more surprisingly, that it is in most cases a better hedge against bad results.  相似文献

Recently Lewis Bowen introduced a notion of entropy for measure-preserving actions of a countable sofic group on a standard probability space admitting a generating partition with finite entropy. By applying an operator algebra perspective we develop a more general approach to sofic entropy which produces both measure and topological dynamical invariants, and we establish the variational principle in this context. In the case of residually finite groups we use the variational principle to compute the topological entropy of principal algebraic actions whose defining group ring element is invertible in the full group C -algebra.  相似文献

针对属性信息为区间Pythagorean模糊集且属性权重和专家权重均未知的一类群决策问题, 结合信息熵理论, 提出了一种区间Pythagorean模糊VIKOR多属性群决策方法。首先定义一种新的区间Pythagorean模糊距离测度, 并讨论其性质。其次基于该距离测度定义了区间Pythagorean模糊相对距离指数, 并基于相对距离指数构建了一种熵权模型确定专家权重和属性权重。然后提出一种区间Pythagorean模糊VIKOR多属性群决策方法。最后通过企业生产方案选择案例说明了提出新方法的可行性与有效性。  相似文献

An interactive approach for solving a multiple objective linear programming (MOLP) problem is presented. This approach assumes that the decision maker (in contrast to the analyst) can establish a (preferential) partial order Pv on the decision variables and a partial order Po on the objective functions. The solution approach presented in this paper requires minimal additional information in its interactive stage. Results are presented for a number of tests: both conceptual development and applicability in solving specific problems have been successfully tested.  相似文献

Multiple criteria decision making is a well established field encompassing aspects of search for solutions and selection of solutions in presence of more than one conflicting objectives. In this paper, we discuss an approach aimed towards the latter. The decision maker is presented with a limited number of Pareto optimal outcomes and is required to identify regions of interest for further investigation. The inherent sparsity of the given Pareto optimal outcomes in high dimensional space makes it an arduous task for the decision maker. To address this problem, an existing line of thought in literature is to generate a set of approximated Pareto optimal outcomes using piecewise linear interpolation. We present an approach within this paradigm, but one that delivers a comprehensive linearly interpolated set as opposed to its subset delivered by existing methods. We illustrate the advantage in doing so in comparison to stricter non-dominance conditions imposed in existing PAreto INTerpolation method. The interpolated set of outcomes delivered by the proposed approach are non-dominated with respect to the given Pareto optimal outcomes, and additionally the interpolated outcomes along uniformly distributed reference directions are presented to the decision maker. The errors in the given interpolations are also estimated in order to further aid decision making by establishing confidence in achieving true Pareto outcomes in their vicinity. The proposed approach for interpolation is computationally less demanding (for higher number of objectives) and also further amenable to parallelization. We illustrate the performance of the approach using six well established tri-objective test problems and two real-life examples. The problems span different types of fronts, such as convex, concave, mixed, degenerate, highlighting the wide applicability of the approach.  相似文献

Researchers have emphasized that different factors have to be considered when discussing the flexibility of a single machine and that of a group of machines. The present research focuses on proposing methods for measuring machine-group flexibility, which is an extension of the model for measuring single machine flexibility. The measurement of machine-group flexibility needs to take into account at least the following three attributes, namely efficiency, versatility and redundancy. Measurement models for each of these three attributes are demonstrated, and a combined measurement approach for machine-group flexibility is suggested. The entropy approach, which states that the greater the number of available options, the larger the entropy value, is applied to the measurement of versatility and redundancy. Finally, an example illustrates the application of the flexibility measurement models developed in this research.  相似文献

Nonlinear geometric optics with various frequencies for entropy solutions only in L of multidimensional scalar conservation laws is analyzed. A new approach to validate nonlinear geometric optics is developed via entropy dissipation through scaling, compactness, homogenization, and L1-stability. New multidimensional features are recognized, especially including nonlinear propagations of oscillations with high frequencies. The validity of nonlinear geometric optics for entropy solutions in L of multidimensional scalar conservation laws is justified.  相似文献

A generalized entropy functional was introduced in [T.-P. Liu, T. Yang, A new entropy functional for scalar conservation laws, Comm. Pure Appl. Math. 52 (1999) 1427-1442] for the scalar hyperbolic conservation laws with convex flux function. This functional was crucially used in the functional approach to the L1 stability study on the system of hyperbolic conservation laws when each characteristic field is either genuinely nonlinear or linearly degenerate. However, how to construct the generalized entropy functional for scalar conservation laws with general flux, and then how to apply the functional approach to the L1 study on general systems are still open. In this paper, we construct a new nonlinear functional which gives some partial answer to this question and we expect the analysis will shed some light on the future investigation in this direction.  相似文献

This paper addresses the adaptive synchronization problem of the drive–driven type chaotic systems via a scalar transmitted signal. Given certain structural conditions of chaotic systems, an adaptive observer-based driven system is constructed to synchronize the drive system whose dynamics are subjected to the system’s disturbances and/or some unknown parameters. By appropriately selecting the observer gains, the synchronization and stability of the overall systems can be guaranteed by the Lyapunov approach. Two well-known chaotic systems: Rössler-like and Chua’s circuit are considered as illustrative examples to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme. Moreover, as an application, the proposed scheme is then applied to a secure communication system whose process consists of two phases: the adaptation phase in which the chaotic transmitter’s disturbances are estimated; and the communication phase in which the information signal is transmitted and then recovered on the basis of the estimated parameters. Simulation results verify the proposed scheme’s success in the communication application.  相似文献
