New infrared spectra are reported for variously labelled trisilylamines. Quantum-chemical (QC) calculations of structure and force field have been made at HF, MP2 and B3LYP levels, each with the 6-31G* and 6-311G** basis sets. At each level, a minimum in the potential surface occurs at the C3h configuration. No evidence was found for a significant variation in SiH bond length with orientation. The appearance of two bands in the infrared spectrum of N(SiH3)3 in the 2nuSiH region is explained by local mode theory in terms of transitions to (200) and (110) levels. In the gas phase, signal averaging appears to occur in the nuSiH region in the infrared spectrum, but not in the Raman. In solid films, both IR and Raman spectra indicate the presence of a range of SiH bond strengths, corresponding to an absence of any site symmetry. Each complete QC calculated force field was fitted to the frequencies observed for N(SiH3)3 and N(SiD3)3, using nine independent scale factors. An interaction force constant between nu(as)NSi3 and delta(s)SiH3 motions required further adjustment. Unobserved frequencies in the d0 and d9 species are predicted. The out-of-plane skeletal bending mode is expected to lie between 170 and 200 cm(-1). Unscaled SiH3 torsional frequencies vary from 64 cm(-1) upwards. The effect of the presence of three internal rotors on the spectra throughout calls for theoretical study.  相似文献

The reaction of (2-SiH3C6H4)2SiH2 with Ni(Et2PCH2CH2PEt2)(PEt3)2 afforded a new silylnickel complex, which, in the solid state, was determined to be a bis(silyl)eta2-(Si-H)nickel complex, the first example of eta2-(Si-H)nickel complex by single-crystal X-ray analysis. Variable-temperature NMR spectroscopy revealed fluxional behavior of the complex in solution; at room temperature, exchange of five hydrogens (two SiH2 and one hydrogen bound to nickel) was observed, while at -80 degrees C the exchange of hydrogens appeared frozen to adopt a tris(silyl)(hydrido)nickel(IV) structure, which was confirmed by theoretical calculation. The latter complex is the first example of hydridonickel(IV) complex.  相似文献

Infrared intensities measured in the gas-phase are reported for CH3SiH3, CH3SiD3, (CH3)2SiH2, (CH3)2SiD2, (SiH3)2CH2, (SiD3)2CH2, Si2H6, SiH2Cl2 and (SiH3)2O. These are compared with theoretical estimates from HF, MP2 and B3LYP calculations with the 6-311G** basis set. Literature values of nuCH intensities per bond from 18 compounds correlate linearly with the values calculated at MP2 and B3LYP levels: the corresponding HF plot is slightly curved. The new HC(Si) data fit these correlations adequately. In similar plots for SiH stretching intensity, the point for SiH2Cl2 is displaced, especially at the HF level. The lack of relation of nuCH or nuSiH intensity to Mulliken atomic charge points to the effect of varying atomic charge flux in the parameter thetamu/thetar. Anomalies associated with nuSiH intensities influenced by chlorine or OR substitution and previously explained by d(pi)-p(pi) bonding are attributed instead to charge flux variation. For silyl groups, deformation band intensities are roughly additive according to the number of such groups. However, this is not the case for the methyl symmetric deformation bands in methyl and dimethyl silanes.  相似文献

Theoretical investigations are carried out on the multiple-channel reactions, CH(3) + SiH(CH(3))(3) → products and CF(3) + SiH(CH(3))(3) → products. The minimum energy paths (MEP) are calculated at the MP2/6-311 + G(d,p) level, and energetic information is further refined by the MC-QCISD (single point) method. The rate constants for major reaction channels are calculated by the canonical variational transition state theory (CVT) with small-curvature tunneling (SCT) correction over the temperature range 200-1500 K. The theoretical rate constants are in good agreement with the available experimental data and are found to be k(1a)(T) = 1.93 × 10(-24) T(3.15) exp(-1214.59/T) and k(2a)(T) = 1.33 × 10(-25) T(4.13) exp(-397.94/T) (in unit of cm(3) molecule(-1) s(-1)). Our calculations indicate that hydrogen abstraction channel from SiH group is the major channel due to the smaller barrier height among five channels considered.  相似文献

A series of stable complexes, (PMe(3))(3)Ru(SiR(3))(2)(H)(2) ((SiR(3))(2) = (SiH(2)Ph)(2), 3a; (SiHPh(2))(2), 3b; (SiMe(2)CH(2)CH(2)SiMe(2)), 3c), has been synthesized by the reaction of hydridosilanes with (PMe(3))(3)Ru(SiMe(3))H(3) or (PMe(3))(4)Ru(SiMe(3))H. Compounds 3a and 3c adopt overall pentagonal bipyramidal geometries in solution and the solid state, with phosphine and silyl ligands defining trigonal bipyramids and ruthenium hydrides arranged in the equatorial plane. Compound 3a exhibits meridional phosphines, with both silyl ligands equatorial, whereas the constraints of the chelate in 3c result in both axial and equatorial silyl environments and facial phosphines. Although there is no evidence for agostic Si-H interactions in 3a and 3b, the equatorial silyl group in 3c is in close contact with one hydride (1.81(4) A) and is moderately close to the other hydride (2.15(3) A) in the solid state and solution (nu(Ru.H.Si) = 1740 cm(-)(1) and nu(RuH) = 1940 cm(-)(1)). The analogous bis(silyl) dihydride, (PMe(3))(3)Ru(SiMe(3))(2)(H)(2) (3d), is not stable at room temperature, but can be generated in situ at low temperature from the 16e(-) complex (PMe(3))(3)Ru(SiMe(3))H (1) and HSiMe(3). Complexes 3b and 3d have been characterized by multinuclear, variable temperature NMR and appear to be isostructural with 3a. All four complexes exhibit dynamic NMR spectra, but the slow exchange limit could not be observed for 3c. Treatment of 1 with HSiMe(3) at room temperature leads to formation of (PMe(3))(3)Ru(SiMe(2)CH(2)SiMe(3))H(3) (4b) via a CH functionalization process critical to catalytic dehydrocoupling of HSiMe(3) at higher temperatures. Closer inspection of this reaction between -110 and -10 degrees C by NMR reveals a plethora of silyl hydride phosphine complexes formed by ligand redistribution prior to CH activation. Above ca. 0 degrees C this mixture converts cleanly via silane dehydrogenation to the very stable tris(phosphine) trihydride carbosilyl complex 4b. The structure of 4b was determined crystallographically and exhibits a tetrahedral P(3)Si environment around the metal with the three hydrides adjacent to silicon and capping the P(2)Si faces. Although strong Si.HRu interactions are not indicated in the structure or by IR, the HSi distances (2.00(4) - 2.09(4) A) and average coupling constant (J(SiH) = 25 Hz) suggest some degree of nonclassical SiH bonding in the RuH(3)Si moiety. The least hindered complex, 3a, reacts with carbon monoxide principally via an H(2) elimination pathway to yield mer-(PMe(3))(3)(CO)Ru(SiH(2)Ph)(2), with SiH elimination as a minor process. However, only SiH elimination and formation of (PMe(3))(3)(CO)Ru(SiR(3))H is observed for 3b-d. The most hindered bis(silyl) complex, 3d, is extremely labile and even in the absence of CO undergoes SiH reductive elimination to generate the 16e(-) species 1 (DeltaH(SiH)(-)(elim) = 11.0 +/- 0.6 kcal x mol(-)(1) and DeltaS(SiH)(-)(elim) = 40 +/- 2 cal x mol(-)(1) x K(-)(1); Delta = 9.2 +/- 0.8 kcal x mol(-)(1) and Delta = 9 +/- 3 cal x mol(-)(1).K(-)(1)). The minimum barrier for the H(2) reductive elimination can be estimated, and is higher than that for silane elimination at temperatures above ca. -50 degrees C. The thermodynamic preferences for oxidative additions to 1 are dominated by entropy contributions and steric effects. Addition of H(2) is by far most favorable, whereas the relative aptitudes for intramolecular silyl CH activation and intermolecular SiH addition are strongly dependent on temperature (DeltaH(SiH)(-)(add) = -11.0 +/- 0.6 kcal x mol(-)(1) and DeltaS(SiH)(-)(add) = -40 +/- 2 cal.mol(-)(1) x K(-)(1); DeltaH(beta)(-CH)(-)(add) = -2.7 +/- 0.3 kcal x mol(-)(1) and DeltaS(beta)(-CH)(-)(add) = -6 +/- 1 cal x mol(-)(1) x K(-)(1)). Kinetic preferences for oxidative additions to 1 - intermolecular SiH and intramolecular CH - have been also quantified: Delta = -1.8 +/- 0.8 kcal x mol(-)(1) and Delta = -31 +/- 3 cal x mol(-)(1).K(-)(1); Delta = 16.4 +/- 0.6 kcal x mol(-)(1) and Delta = -13 +/- 6 cal x mol(-)(1).K(-)(1). The relative enthalpies of activation (-)(1) x K(-)(1)). Kinetic preferences for oxidative additions to 1 - intermolecular SiH and intramolecular CH - have been also quantified: Delta (H)SiH(add) = 1.8 +/- 0.8 kcal x mol(-)(1) and Delta S((SiH-add) =31+/- 3 cal x mol(-)(1) x K(-)(1); Delta S (SiH -add) = 16.4 +/- 0.6 kcal x mol(-)(1) and =Delta S (SiH -CH -add) =13+/- 6 cal x mol(-)(1) x K(-)(1). The relative enthalpies of activation are interpreted in terms of strong SiH sigma-complex formation - and much weaker CH coordination - in the transition state for oxidative addition.  相似文献

IntroductionThe reaction of H with trimethylsilane playsan important role in etching silicon surface.Al-though many investigations of this reaction havebeen reported[1— 5] ,the rate constants obtained cov-er a wide range, which thus makes itdifficultto es-tablish reactivity patterns. This conflict betweenthe results often appears to be associated with thedifferent experimental methods employed.Anotherdeficiency is that the most work has been carriedout only at room temperature. To our knowledg…  相似文献

A theoretical study of SiH(4) activation by Cp(2)LnH complexes for the entire series of lanthanides has been carried out at the DFT-B3PW91 level of theory. The reaction paths corresponding to H/H exchange and silylation, formation of Cp(2)Ln(SiH(3)), have been computed. They both occur via a single-step sigma-bond metathesis mechanism. For the athermal H/H exchange reaction, the calculated activation barrier averages 1.8 kcal.mol(-)(1) relative to the precursor adduct Cp(2)LnH(eta(2)-SiH(4)) for all lanthanide elements. The silylation path is slightly exogenic (DeltaE approximately -6.5 kcal.mol(-1)) with an activation barrier averaging 5.2 kcal.mol(-1) relative to the precursor adduct where SiH(4) is bonded by two Si-H bonds. Both pathways are therefore thermally accessible. The H/H exchange path is calculated to be kinetically more favorable whereas the silylation reaction is thermodynamically preferred. The reactivity of this familly of lanthanide complexes with SiH(4) contrasts strongly with that obtained previously with CH(4). The considerably lower activation barrier for silylation relative to methylation is attributed to the ability of Si to become hypervalent.  相似文献

Torsional frequencies of methyl and silyl groups occurring in a range of molecules have been calculated by HF, B3LYP and MP2 methods using several basis sets. Linear correlations between calculated and observed values are derived and used to predict unobserved or dubious frequencies. The current experimental value for the E torsion in trimethylphosphine is questioned. The relative merits of the B3LYP and MP2 methods are explored. MP2 calculations can show wide variation with respect to basis set. In cases where two or more silyl groups are attached to a common atom, as in disilylsulphide (SiH3)2S, disilylmethane (SiH3)2CH2, trisilylmethane (SiH3)3CH and tetrasilylmethane (SiH3)4C, marked differences occur between B3LYP and MP2 estimates. These may be linked to concomitant differences in conformation or potential barrier restraining internal rotation. In disilylmethane the B3LYP results agree much better with experiment than those from the MP2 method. HF and B3LYP calculations for disilylsulphide and trisilylphosphine give normal C2v and C3v equilibrium structures, respectively, but in MP2 structures the silyl groups are twisted through 6-13 degrees yielding C2 and C3 configurations. It may be possible to distinguish between these structures through the observation of isolated SiH stretching frequencies in the spectra of fully deuterated materials. Dispersion forces could contribute to the twisting calculated by the MP2 method. Further studies of the microwave and vibrational spectra of disilylsulphide and trisilylphosphine isotopomers are needed.  相似文献

The vibrational spectra of SiH2Cl2 have been recorded in the 1000-13,000 cm(-1) region, utilizing the Fourier-transform spectroscopy and Fourier-transform intracavity laser absorption spectroscopy. Totally 61 band centers and intensities are derived from the infrared spectra. An ab initio quartic force field is obtained by applying the second-order Moller-Plesset perturbation theory and correlation-consistent polarized valence triplet-zeta basis sets [J. Chem. Phys. 90, 1007 (1989); 98, 1358 (1993)]. Most observed bands are assigned by the vibration analysis based on the second-order perturbation theory. Reduced-dimensional ab initio dipole moment functions (two dimensional and three dimensional) have also been calculated to investigate the absolute band intensities of the SiH2 chromophore. The calculated values agree reasonably with the observed ones.  相似文献

The infrared and Raman spectra of UO(2)(NH(3))(2)(NO(3))(2) with (14)NH(3)/(15)NH(3) isotopic substitution were measured. The structure was optimized and the vibrational spectrum was calculated by DFT (B3LYP/6-31G(d)) methodology using relativistic effective core potential for U atom. The results for force constant and vibrational frequencies support the experimental assignments and the proposed model, mainly in the far-infrared region, where the metal-ligand bond and lattice vibrations are observed. Based on the theoretical findings and the observed spectra a structure of distorted D(2h) symmetry with the nitrate group acting like bidentate ligands for the UO(2)(NH(3))(2)(NO(3))(2) is proposed.  相似文献

The Raman spectra (3200-30 cm(-1)) of liquid and solid, and infrared spectra of gaseous and solid chloromethyl silyl dichloride, ClCH2SiHCl2, have been recorded. Variable temperature (-105 to -150 degrees C) studies of the infrared spectra of the sample dissolved in liquid krypton have been carried out. From these data, the enthalpy difference was determined to be 363 +/- 40 cm(-1) (4.34 +/- 0.48 kJ mol(-1)), with the more stable form being the gauche conformer, which is consistent with the prediction from ab initio calculations at both the Hartree-Fock level and with full electron correlation by the perturbation method to second order. It is estimated that 92% of the sample is in the gauche form at ambient temperature. A complete vibrational assignment is proposed for the gauche conformer and several of fundamentals of the trans conformer based on infrared band contours, relative intensities, depolarization values, and group frequencies, which is supported by normal coordinate calculations utilizing the force constants from the ab initio MP2/6-31G(d) calculations. The r0 SiH bond distances of 1.476 and 1.472 A have been obtained for the trans and gauche conformers, respectively, from the silicon-hydrogen stretching frequencies. The optimized geometries have also been obtained from ab initio calculations utilizing several different basis sets with full electron correlation by the perturbation method up to MP2/6-311 + G(2d,2p). The results are discussed and compared to some corresponding results for several related molecules.  相似文献

The multiple-channel reactions SiH(3) + SiH(CH(3))(3) --> products are investigated by direct dynamics method. The minimum energy path (MEP) is calculated at the MP2/6-31+G(d,p) level, and energetic information is further refined by the MC-QCISD (single-point) method. The rate constants for individual reaction channels are calculated by the improved canonical variational transition state theory with small-curvature tunneling correction over the temperature range of 200-2400 K. The theoretical three-parameter expression k(T) = 2.44 x 10(-23)T(3.94) exp(-4309.55/T) cm(3)/(molecule s) is given. Our calculations indicate that hydrogen abstraction channel R1 from SiH group is the major channel because of the smaller barrier height among five channels considered.  相似文献

The infrared (3100-40 cm(-1)) and Raman (3100-20 cm(-1)) spectra of gaseous and solid n-propylsilane, CH(3)CH(2)CH(2)SiH(3) and the Si-d(3) isotopomer, CH(3)CH(2)CH(2)SiD(3), have been recorded. Additionally, the Raman spectra of the liquids have been recorded and qualitative depolarization values obtained. Both the anti and gauche conformers have been identified in the fluid phases but only the anti conformer remains in the solid. Variable temperature (-105 to -150 degrees C) studies of the infrared spectra of n-propylsilane dissolved in liquid krypton have been recorded and the enthalpy difference has been determined to be 220+/-22 cm(-1) (2.63+/-0.26 kJ mol(-1)) with the anti conformer the more stable form. A similar value of 234+/-23 cm(-1) (2.80+/-0.28 kJ mol(-1)) was obtained for deltaH for the Si-d(3) isotopomer. At ambient temperature it is estimated that there is 30+/-2% of the gauche conformer present. The potential function governing the conformation interchange has been estimated from the far infrared spectral data, the enthalpy difference, and the dihedral angle of the gauche conformer, which is compared to the one predicted from ab initio MP2/6-31G(d) calculations. The barriers to conformational interchange are: 942, 970 and 716 cm(-1) for the anti to gauche, gauche to gauche, and gauche to anti conformers, respectively. Relatively complete vibrational assignments are proposed for both the n-propylsilane-d(0) and Si-d(3) molecules based on the relative infrared and Raman spectral intensities, infrared band contours, depolarization ratios, and normal coordinate calculations. The geometrical parameters, harmonic force constants, vibrational frequencies, infrared intensities, Raman activities and depolarization ratios, and energy differences have been obtained for the anti and gauche conformers from ab initio MP2/6-31G(d) calculations. Structural parameters and energy differences have also been obtained utilizing the larger 6-311 + G(d,p) and 6-311 + G(2d,2p) basis sets. From the isolated Si-H stretching frequency from the Si-d(2) isotopomer the r(0) distances of 1.484 and 1.485 A have been determined for the SiH(s) and SiH(a) bonds, respectively, for the anti conformer, and 1.486 A for the SiH bond for the gauche conformer. Utilizing previously reported microwave rotational constants for the anti conformer and the determined SiH distances along with ab initio predicted parameters 'adjusted r(0)' parameters have been obtained for the anti conformer. The results are discussed and compared to those obtained for some similar molecules.  相似文献

Laser-ablated group 6 metal atoms react with silane to form inserted SiH 3-MH hydride intermediates, which are identified from M-H and Si-H stretching modes. Following two successive alpha-H-transfers, the HSiMH 3 (M = Mo, W) silylidyne molecules are produced. These silicon-metal triple-bonded species are identified as major products from the strong M-H stretching modes through deuterium substitution and comparison with frequencies and intensities from density functional calculations and from the analogous methylidynes. The silylidynes have calculated C 3 v structures and longer Si-H bonds than silane, but the C 3 v methylidyne analogues have shorter C-H bonds than methane. The SiMo and SiW bonds are polarized differently and have slightly lower effective bond orders than their carbon analogues. In addition, calculations for the group 6 silylidene molecules reveal C s structures with no evidence of agostic distortion, in contrast to the corresponding methylidene molecules.  相似文献

First-principles pseudopotential calculations, within a simple dynamically constrained scheme, have been performed to investigate the reaction of 0.25 ML coverage of SiH4 and Si2H6 with the Si(001)-(2 x 2) surface. The silane molecule (SiH4) is adsorbed on to the surface at a number of different sites (on dimer, interrow, or intrarow) with varying barrier heights. Two distinct structures, which are similar in energy, arise from the initial dissociative reaction SiH4-->SiH3(silyl) + H, where the dissociated species are adsorbed either on the same dimer components or on adjacent dimer components. Several further decays of silyl from SiH4 are presented in two separate regimes of high and low ambient hydrogen coverages. The decomposition of silyl can form two different bridging structures: an on top or an intrarow bridging structure in both of the two hydrogen coverage regimes. The disilane molecule (Si2H6) is also adsorbed upon this surface with varying energy barriers, resulting in a dissociation reaction where two SiH3 species are adsorbed on one dimer or in an adjacent dimer configuration. Plausible energy reaction paths for the above models are presented. The stability of the SiH2 species is also discussed.  相似文献

The infrared spectra (3200-50 cm(-1)) of gaseous and solid and Raman spectra (3200-10 cm(-1)) of the liquid and solid methylvinyl silyl chloride, CH(2)=CHSiH(CH(3))Cl, and the Si-d isotopomer have been recorded. The three expected stable conformers (the three different groups eclipsing the double bond) have been identified in the fluid phase, but it was not possible to obtain an annealed solid with a single conformer. Variable temperature (-105 to -150 degrees C) studies of the infrared spectra of the sample dissolved in liquid krypton has been carried out. From these data the enthalpy differences between the most stable conformer with the hydrogen atom (HE) eclipsing the double bond to that with the chlorine atom (ClE) and the methyl group (ME) eclipsing the double bond have been determined to be 17+/-4 cm(-1) (203+/-48 Jmol(-1)) and 80+/-12 cm(-1) (957+/-144 Jmol(-1)), respectively. However in the liquid state the ME conformer is the most stable form with enthalpy differences of 13+/-4 and 27+/-7 cm(-1) to the HE and ClE rotamers, respectively. It is estimated that there is 39% of the HE conformer, 35% of the ClE conformer, and 26% of the ME conformer present at ambient temperature. A complete vibration assignment is proposed for the HE conformer which is based on infrared band contours and group frequencies, which is supported by normal coordinate calculations utilizing the force constants from ab initio MP2/6-31G(d) calculations. Additionally, several of the fundamentals for the other two conformers have been assigned. The optimal geometries, conformational stabilities, harmonic force fields, infrared intensities, Raman activities, depolarization ratios, and vibrational frequencies are reported for all three conformers from MP2/6-31G(d,p) ab initio calculations with full electron correlation. Optimized geometrical parameters and conformational stabilities have been obtained from MP2/6-311+G(d,p) calculations. At this highest level of calculations, the HE conformer is predicted to be more stable by 62 and 84 cm(-1) than the ME and ClE conformers, respectively. The coefficients from the potential function governing the conformational interchange have been obtained from the MP2/6-31G(d) ab initio calculations. By utilizing the frequency of the SiH stretching mode, the r(0)-H distance has been determined to be 1.481 A for the HE conformer. The ab initio calculated quantities are compared to the experimentally determined values where applicable, as well as to some corresponding results for some similar molecules.  相似文献

Theoretical calculations are performed to study the nature of the hydrogen bonds in complexes HCHO…HNO, HCOOH…HNO, HCHO…NH3, HCOOH…NH3, HCHO…NH2F and HCOOH…NH2F. The geometric structures and vibrational frequencies of these six complexes at the MP2/6-31+G(d,p), MP2/6-311++G(d,p), B3LYP/6-31+G(d,p) and B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p) levels are calculated by standard and counterpoise-corrected methods, respectively. The results indicate that in complexes HCHO…HNO and HCOOH…HNO the N-H bond is strongly contracted and N-H…O blue-shifted hydrogen bonds are observed. While in complexes HCHO…NH3, HCOOH…NH3, HCHO…NH2F and HCOOH…NH2F, the N-H bond is elongated and N-H…O red-shifted hydrogen bonds are found. From the natural bond orbital analysis it can be seen that the X-H bond length in the X-H…Y hydrogen bond is controlled by a balance of four main factors in the opposite directions: hyperconjugation, electron density redistribution, rehybridization and structural reorganization. Among them hyperconjugation has the effect of elongating the X-H bond, and the other three factors belong to the bond shortening effects. In complexes HCHO…HNO and HCOOH…HNO, the shortening effects dominate which lead to the blue shift of the N-H stretching frequencies. In complexes HCHO…NH3, HCOOH…NH3, HCHO…NH2F and HCOOH…NH2F where elongating effects are dominant, the N-H…O hydrogen bonds are red-shifted.  相似文献
