Two kinds of aromatic, unsymmetrical diamines with ether-ketone group, 3-amino-4′-(4-amino-2-trifluoromethylphenoxy)-benzophenone and 4-amino-4′-(4-amino-2-trifluoromethylphenoxy)-benzophenone, were successfully synthesized with two different synthetic routes. Then, they were polymerized with 4,4′-oxydiphthalic anhydride, 3,3′,4,4′-benzophenone tetracarboxylic dianhydride, and 2,2′-bis(3,4-dicarboxyphenyl)-hexafluoropropane dianhydride to form a series of fluorinated polyimides via a conventional two-step thermal or chemical imidization method. The resulting polyimides were characterized by measuring their solubility, viscosity, mechanical properties, IR-FT, and thermal analysis. The results showed that the polyimides had inherent viscosities of 0.48-0.68 dl/g and were easily dissolved in bipolarity solvents and common, low-boiling point solvents. Meanwhile, the resulting strong and flexible polyimide films exhibited excellent thermal stability, e.g., decomposition temperatures (at 10% weight loss) are above 575 °C and glass-transition temperatures in the range of 218-242 °C. The polymer films also showed outstanding mechanical properties, such as tensile strengths of 86.5-132.8 MPa, elongations at break of 8-14%, and initial moduli of 1.32-1.97 GPa. These outstanding combined features ensure that the polymers are desirable candidate materials for advanced applications.  相似文献

A new aromatic unsymmetrical diamine monomer, 1,4-(2′,4″-diaminodiphenoxy)benzene (OAPB), was successfully synthesized in three steps using hydroquinone as starting material and polymerized with various aromatic tetracarboxylic acid dianhydrides, including 4,4′-oxydiphthalic anhydride (ODPA), 3,3′,4,4′-benzophenone tetracarboxylic dianhydride (BTDA), 2,2′-bis(3,4-dicarboxyphenyl)-hexafluoropropane dianhydride (6FDA) and pyromellitic dianhydride (PMDA) via the conventional two-step thermal or chemical imidization method to produce a series of the unsymmetrical aromatic polyimides. The polyimides were characterized by solubility tests, viscosity measurements, IR, 1H NMR, and 13C NMR spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction studies, and thermogravimetric analysis. The polyimides obtained had inherent viscosities ranged of 0.38-0.58 dL/g, and were easily dissolved in common organic solvents. The resulting strong and flexible PI films exhibited excellent thermal stability with the decomposition temperature (at 5% weight loss) of above 505 °C and the glass transition temperature in the range of 230-299 °C. Moreover, the polymer films showed outstanding mechanical properties with the tensile strengths of 41.4-108.5 MPa, elongation at breaks of 5-9% and initial moduli of 1.15-1.68 GPa.  相似文献

A new kind of pyridine-bridged aromatic dianhydride monomer, 4-phenyl-2,6-bis[4-(3,4-dicarboxyphenoxy)phenyl]-pyridine dianhydride (PPDA), was successfully synthesized by modified Chichibabin reaction of benzaldehyde and substituted acetophenone, 4-(3,4-dicyanophenoxy)-acetophenone (DCAP), followed by acidic hydrolysis of the intermediate tetranitrile and cyclodehydration of the resulting tetraacid. The pyridine-bridged aromatic dianhydride was employed to synthesized a series of new pyridine-containing polyimides by polycondensation with various aromatic diamines in N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) via the conventional two-step method, i.e. ring-opening polycondensation forming the poly(amic acid)s and further thermal or chemical imidization forming polyimides. The inherent viscosities of the resulting polyimides were in the range of 0.49-0.63 dL/g, and most of them were soluble in aprotic amide solvents and cresols, such as N,N-dimethylacetamide (DMAc), NMP, and m-cresol, etc. Meanwhile, strong and flexible polyimide films were obtained, which have good thermal stability with the glass transition temperatures (Tg) of 223-256 °C, the temperature at 5% weight loss of 523-569 °C, and the residue at 700 °C of 52.1-62.7% in nitrogen, as well as have outstanding mechanical properties with the tensile strengths of 70.7-97.6 MPa and elongations at breakage of 7.9-9.7%. Wide-angle X-ray diffraction measurements revealed that these polyimides were predominantly amorphous.  相似文献

A new kind of pyridine-containing aromatic diamine monomer, 4-phenyl-2, 6-bis [3-(4-aminophenoxy)phenyl]-pyridine(m-PAPP),was synthesized by a modified Chichibabin reaction of benzaldehyde and a substituted acetophenone, 3-(4-nitrophenoxy)-acetophenone(m-NPAP), and a reduction of the resulting dinitro compound 4-phenyl-2, 6-bis[3-(4-nitrophenoxy)phenyl]-pyridine (m-PNPP) with Pd/C and hydrazine monohydrate, successively. A series of novel aromatic polyimides were prepared from the diamine with various aromatic dianhydrides via a conventional two-step thermal or chemical imidization method. The inherent viscosities of the resulting poly (amic acid) precursors were 1.37-1.56 dL/g, and these polymers could be cast and thermally converted into transparent, flexible, and tough polyimide films. The polyimides displayed higher solubility in polar solvents such as NMP, DMSO and m-cresol. The glass transition temperatures of these polymers were recorded at 180-264 °C. All of these novel polyimides held 10% weight loss at the temperature above 430 °C and left more than 50% residue even at 800 °C in air, as well as have outstanding mechanical properties with the tensile strengths of 91.6-114.1 MPa and elongations at breakage of 10.1-15.7%. Wide-angle X-ray diffraction measurements revealed that these polyimides were predominantly amorphous.  相似文献

A series of novel and soluble polyimides containing fluorine were synthesized by the polycondensation of fluorine-containing aromatic dianhydride TFDA with substitutional diaminetriphenylmethanes TDPT, FTDPT and 3FTDPT. The composition, structure and properties of the resulting polyimides were studied by means of FT-IR, DSC, TGA and elemental analysis methods, as well as general characterization methods that test solubility or viscosity. The results show that all the novel polyimides were obtained in quantitative yields with inherent viscosities of 0.70-0.76 dL/g, and showed excellent solubility in common organic solvents, such as NMP, DMAc, DMF, DMSO, THF, m-cresol, chloroform and 4-butyrolactone. Meanwhile, their Tg values from DSC are in the range of 265-293 °C, the temperature of 5 and 10% weight loss from TGA are in the range of 460-465 and 513-524 °C in N2, respectively.  相似文献

A new diamine monomer containing fluorene unit, 3,5‐diamino‐N‐(9H‐fluoren‐2‐yl)benzamide was successfully synthesized via the condensation of 2‐aminofluorene and 3,5‐dinitrobenzoyl chloride and subsequent reduction of the dinitro compound. A series of novel aromatic polyimides having pendent fluorenamide moieties were prepared from the reaction of the diamine monomer and various tetracarboxylic dianhydrides by a conventional two‐step polymerization process. The polyimides were obtained in quantitative yields with inherent viscosities of 0.33–0.44 dl/g. The resulting polymers dissolved in N‐methyl‐2‐pyrrolidinone, N,N‐dimethylacetamide, N,N‐dimethylformamide, and dimethyl sulfoxide. The glass transition temperature of these polymers was in the range of 261–289°C. They were fairly stable up to a temperature around 450°C and lost 10% weight in the range of 498–556°C in nitrogen. The UV–vis absorption spectra showed that all of the polymers had absorption maxima around 320 nm. Cyclic voltammograms of the polyimides revealed an oxidation wave with a peak around 1.3 V. A new kind of 1,2,3‐triazole‐containing aromatic diamines were synthesized by the Cu(I)‐catalyzed 1,3‐dipolar cycloaddition reaction. These diamines were employed to synthesize a series of novel polytriazoleimides (PTAIs) by polycondensation with various aromatic dianhydrides in N,N‐dimethylacetamide (DMAc) via the conventional two‐step method. The obtained polyimides were characterized by Fourier transform infrared, hydrogen‐1 nuclear magnetic resonance, X‐ray diffraction, differential scanning calorimetry, and thermogravimetric analysis techniques. The results show that the PTAIs are soluble in most of strong polar solvents and have inherent viscosity values of 0.47–0.68 dl/g (DMAc). PTAI films have tensile strengths of 60.6–102.6 MPa and elongations at breakage of 3.0–4.1%, glass transition temperatures (Tg) of 208–262°C, and decomposition temperatures (at 5% weight loss) of 368–401°C in N2 atmosphere, which depend on the structure of the polymers. The PTAIs also exhibit good adhesion to copper and gas separation properties. Copyright © 2011 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

A series of aromatic diamines were polymerized with two aromatic dianhydrides, pyromellitic dianhydride and 3,3,4,4-biphenyltetracarboxylic dianhydride, and the resulting poly(amic acid)s were thermally cyclodehydrated to aromatic polyimides. The polyimides were characterized by determining the glass transition temperatures (Tg), thermal stability, coefficients of thermal expansion, and wide-angle X-ray diffraction. Structure-property relationships are elucidated and discussed in terms of the structural fragments in the polymer chain. The PMDA-based polyimides generally revealed a higher Tg than the corresponding BPDA-based analogues. Generally, the dilution of the imide content by the insertion of oxyphenylene segments into the diamines significantly reduced the Tg. The introduction of m- or o-phenylene units into the polymer backbone usually resulted in a decrease in Tg. The attachment of pendant groups on the backbone may lead to decreased or increased Tgs, depending on the structure of pendant groups. As evidenced by X-ray diffraction, the polyimides derived from rigid, rod-like diamines or the diamines having two or three p-oxyphenylene showed a higher crystalline tendency. The presence of aliphatic pendant groups slightly reduced the thermal stability of the polyimides. The other structural changes did not show a dramatic influence on the thermal stability. Some polyimides obtained from p- or m-phenylenediamine had low thermal expansion coefficients below 2×10−5°C−1.  相似文献

The novel diamine, 1,7-bis(4-aminophenoxy)naphthalene (1,7-BAPON), was synthesized and used to prepared polyimides. 1,7-BAPON was synthesized through the nucleophilic displacement of 1,7-dihydroxynaphthalene with p-fluoronitrobenzene in the presence of K2CO3 followed by catalytic-reduction. Polyimides were prepared from 1,7-BAPON and various aromatic tetracarboxylic dianhydrides by the usual two-step procedure that included ring-opening polyaddition to give poly(amic acid)s, followed by cyclodehydration to polyimides. The poly(amic acid)s had inherent viscosities of 0.74-2.48 dL/g. Most of the polyimides formed tough, creasible films. These polyimides had glass transition temperatures between 247–278°C and their 10% weight loss temperatures were recorded in the range of 515–575°C in nitrogen atmosphere. © 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

Novel aromatic polyimides containing bis(phenoxy)naphthalene units were synthesized from 1,5-bis(4-aminophenoxy)naphthalene (APN) and various aromatic tetracarboxylic dianhydrides by the usual two-step procedure that included ring-opening polyaddition in a polar solvent such as N,N-dimethylacetamide (DMAc) to give poly(amic acid)s, followed by cyclodehydration to polyimides. The poly(amic acid)s had inherent viscosities between 0.72 and 1.94 dL/g, depending on the tetracarboxylic dianhydrides used. Excepting the polyimide IVb obtained from 3,3′,4,4′-biphenyltetracarboxylic dianhydride (BPDA), all other polyimides formed brown, flexible, and tough films by casting from the poly(amic acid) solutions. The polyimide synthesized from BPDA was characterized as semicrystalline, whereas the other polyimides showed amorphous patterns as shown by the x-ray diffraction studies. Tensile strength, initial moduli, and elongation at break of the APN-based polyimide films ranged from 105–135 MPa, 1.92–2.50 GPa, and 6–7%, respectively. These polyimides had glass transition temperatures between 228 and 317°C. Thermal analyses indicated that these polymers were fairly stable, and the 10% weight loss temperatures by TGA were recorded in the range of 543–574°C in nitrogen and 540–566°C in air atmosphere, respectively. © 1993 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

Optically active 2,2′-bis(2-trifluoro-4-aminophenoxy)-1,1′-binaphthyl and its corresponding racemate were prepared by a nucleophilic substitution reaction of 1,1′-bi-2-naphthol with 2-chloro-5-nitrotrifluorotoluene and subsequently by the reduction of the resulting dinitro compounds. A series of optically active and optically inactive aromatic polyimides also were prepared therefrom. These polymers readily were soluble in common organic solvents such as pyridine, N,N′-dimethylacetamide, and m-cresol and had glass-transition temperatures of 256 ∼ 278 °C. The specific rotations of the chiral polymers ranged from 167 ∼ 258°, and their chiroptical properties also were studied. © 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Novel fluorinated polyimides (PIs) were prepared from 9,9-bis(4-amino-3,5-difluorophenyl)fluorene with three aromatic dianhydrides via a one-step high-temperature polycondensation procedure. These obtained PIs showed excellent solubility and could be readily soluble in a variety of organic solvents such as NMP, DMAc, DMF, CHCl3, CH2Cl2 and THF. All the PIs could afford flexible and strong films with low dielectric constants (2.62-2.79 at 1 MHz) and low moisture absorptions (0.18-0.41%). Thin films of these PIs exhibited high optical transparency and light color, with the cutoff wavelength at 341-355 nm and transmittance higher than 80% at 450 nm. Meanwhile, these PIs possessed eminent thermal stability, with decomposition temperatures (Td) above 570 °C in both air and nitrogen atmospheres and glass transition temperatures (Tg) beyond 376 °C. Moreover, these fluorinated PI films showed low surface free energy and hydro-oleophobic character. The contact angles on the films for water and glycerol were in the range of 102.3-107.9° and 94.0-100.3°, respectively. In comparison with the analogous PI non-containing fluorine group, these fluorinated PIs showed better solubility, higher optical transparency, lower dielectric constants and lower surface free energy.  相似文献

We prepared new semiaromatic polyimides from alicyclic dianhydrides and aromatic diamines containing adamantyl and biadamantyl units. Polycondensations were performed in 1‐methyl‐2‐pyrrolidinone at room temperature for 7 h and then 80 °C for 23 h, giving poly(amic acid)s with inherent viscosities up to 0.58 dL/g. Poly(amic acid)s were converted to corresponding poly(imide)s by thermal treatment. Poly(imide)s showed relatively high thermal stability (5% weight loss around 450 °C) and low dielectric constants (2.69–2.79). © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 1,3-Diaminoadamantane (I) was used as a monomer with various aromatic dicarboxylic acyl chlorides and dianhydrides to synthesize polyamides and polyimides, respectively. Polyamides having inherent viscosities of 0.10–0.27 dL/g were prepared by low-temperature solution polycondensation. The polyamides were soluble in a variety of solvents such as N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF), N,N-dimethylacetamide (DMAc), N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP), pyridine, dioxane, and nitrobenzene. These polyamides had glass transition temperatures in the 179–187°C range and 5% weight loss temperatures occurred at up to 354°C. Polyimides based on diamine I and various aromatic dianhydrides were synthesized by the two-stage procedure that included ring-opening to form polyamic acids, followed by thermal conversion to polyimides. The polyamic acids had inherent viscosities of 0.14–0.38 dL/g. The glass transition temperature of these polyimides were in the 245–303°C range and showed almost no weight loss up to 350°C under air and nitrogen atmosphere. © 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

A novel kind of aromatic diamine,N-(4-(4-(2,6-diphenyl pyridine-4-yl)phenoxy)phenyl)-3,5-diaminobezamide (DPDAB),was synthesized via aromatic nucleophilic substitution of 3,5-dinitrobenzoylchloride with 4-(4-(2,6- diphenylpyridine-4-yl)phenoxy)aniline(DPPA),followed by palladium-catalyzed hydrazine reduction. This monomer was used to prepare polyimides(PIs)based on reaction with several commerically avaiable tetracarboxylic dianhydrides such as pyromellatic dianhydride(PMDA),benzophenone tetracarboxylic acide dianhydride(BTDA)and bicycle[2.2.2]oct-7-enc- 2,3,5,6-tetracarboxylic dianhydride(BCDA).These PIs had inherent viscosity in the range of 0.34-0.76 dL/g and showed good solubility in various aprotic polar solvents. The glass-transition tempratures(T_gs)of the PIs were in the range of 184-302℃,and showed high thermal stability with 10%weight loss in the temperature range of 360-500℃under nitrogen atmosphere.  相似文献

New photosensitive polymides containing photosensitive disilane unit were synthesised from 1,2-bis(4-aminophenyl)tetramethyldisilane and various aromatic tetracarboxylic dianhydrides by the usual two-step procedure that includes ring-opening polyaddition to yield the precursor polyamic acids, followed by cyclodehydration giving the respective polyimides. The polymaic acids had inherent viscosities between 0.63 and 0.85 dL/g depending on the tetracarboxylic dianhydride used. Excepting the polyimide obtained from pyromellitic dianhydride, all other polyimides were soluble in N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, m-cresol, and pyridine. While the polyimide containing diphenyl sulfone unit was amorphous, the other polyimides were semi-crystalline polymers based on their x-ray diffractograms. The polyimides had glass transition temperatures between 235 and 304°C. They were thermally stable up to 380°C in both air and nitrogen atmospheres. All the polyamic acids showed a drastic decrease in the inherent viscosity upon UV light irradiation, implying the inherent photosensitivity of the polymers containing the disilane moiety.  相似文献

New aromatic polyimides containing triphenylamine unit were prepared by two different methods, i.e., a conventional two-step method starting from 4,4′-diaminotriphenylamine and aromatic tetracarboxylic dianhydrides and the one-step thioanhydride method starting from the aromatic diamine and aromatic tetracarboxylic dithioanhydrides. Both procedures yielded high-molecular-weight polyimides with inherent viscosities of 0.47–1.17 dL/g. Some of these polymers were soluble in organic solvents such as N,N-dimethylacetamide, N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, m-cresol, and pyridine. All the polyimides afforded transparent, flexible, and tough films, and the color varied from pale yellow to dark red, depending markedly on the tetracarboxylic acid components. The glass transition temperatures (Tgs) of these polyimides were in the range of 287–331°C and the 10% weight loss temperatures were above 520°C in air. The polyimides prepared by the one-step method exhibited better solubility in organic solvents and had somewhat lower Tgs than the polymers prepared by a conventional two-step method.  相似文献

A new structurally asymmetric diamine monomer containing flexible ether linkages and bulky trifluoromethyl substituents, namely 1,3-bis(4-amino-2-trifluoromethylphenoxy)naphthalene, was prepared from 1,3-dihydroxynaphthalene and 2-chloro-5-nitrobenzotrifluoride. New series of fluorinated polyimides were synthesized from the diamine with six commercially available aromatic tetracarboxylic dianhydrides using a conventional two-stage process with thermal or chemical imidization. The resulting polyimides were highly soluble in a variety of organic solvents and could afford transparent and tough films via solution casting. These polyimides exhibited moderately high glass-transition temperatures (by DSC) of 236-268 °C and softening temperatures (by thermomechanical analysis) of 231-250 °C, and they did not show significant decomposition before 500 °C under either nitrogen or air atmosphere. Also, they revealed low moisture absorptions (0.32-0.78%), low dielectric constants (2.81-3.24 at 10 kHz), and high optical transparency (ultraviolet-visible absorption cutoff wavelengths of 377-426 nm).  相似文献

A series of organo-soluble polyimides were prepared from a novel fluorinated diamine monomer, 4-phenyl-2,6-bis[4-(4′-amino-2′-trifluoromethylphenoxy)phenyl]pyridine and various commercial aromatic dianhydrides. These polyimides had good solubility in common organic solvents. The obtained strong and flexible PI films exhibited excellent thermal stability with the decomposition temperature (at 5% weight loss) of above 561 °C and the glass transition temperature in the range of 258-312 °C. Moreover, the polymer films showed good electrical insulating property, low dielectric constant and low water uptake due to the introduction of fluorinated substitutes in the polymer backbone. The remarkable combined features ensure these polymers to be ideal candidate materials for advanced microelectronic industry and other related applications.  相似文献
