New mononuclear Fe (III), Cu (II), Ag (I), ZrO ( IV) and UO2(VI) complexes were synthesized by the reaction of metal ions with (E)-3-(2-(5, 6- diphenyl-1,2,4- triazin-3- yl)hydrazono)butan-2- one oxime. The structures of the metal complexes were characterized using analytical, spectral (infrared, electronic, 1H NMR, electron spin resonance (ESR), and mass), magnetic moment, molar conductance, thermal gravimetric analysis, and powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) measurements. All complexes have octahedral geometries except the Cu (II) complex, which has square planar geometry, and the UO2(VI) complex, in which the coordination number is seven. The ligand acts as a (neutral, monoanionic or dianionic) tridentate with N2O coordinating sites: N-azomethine, N-triazine, and O-oxime. Fluorescence spectral studies were carried out in solid state and in dimethylformamide (DMF). The kinetic parameters of the thermal decomposition stages were calculated using Coats–Redfern equations. The morphological structures of the ligand and some complexes were determined using XRD. The molecular orbital calculations were carried out for the ligand and metal complexes using the Hyperchem 7.52 program on the basis of the PM3 level. The antimicrobial activities of the ligand and its complexes were investigated towards the microorganisms S. aureus and B. subtilis as Gram-positive bacteria, S. typhimurium and E. coli as Gram-negative bacteria, C. albicans, and A. fumigatus. The ligand and its complexes showed antitumor activity against Hep G-2 cell lines, where Cu (II) and Ag (I) complexes seem to be promising as they showed IC50 values that are lower than and comparable to that of the antitumor drug doxorubicin.  相似文献

We describe the synthesis and characterization of two new zinc (II) and cadmium (II) complexes of the tetradentate dissymmetric Schiff base ligand 2-((E)-(2-(2-(pyridine-2-yl)ethylthio)ethylimino)methyl)-4-bromophenol (PytBrsalH), prepared from 1-(2-pyridyl)-3-thia-5-aminopentane (pyta) and 5-bromosalicylaldehyde. The complexes were synthesized by treating an ethanolic solution of the ligand with equimolar amounts of appropriate metal salts in 1 M methanolic solution of NaOH or alternatively, by a more direct route in which the two reactants are added to a solution of the ligand immediately after formation of the latter and prior to any isolation. The complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, FTIR, (1)H-NMR, electronic spectra and molar conductivity. According to obtained data, the probable coordination geometries of zinc and cadmium in these complexes with mixed N, S and O donor atoms are tetrahedral- and octahedral-like,respectively. Both complexes were found to be 1:1 electrolyte systems in acetonitrile.  相似文献

Manganese(II), iron(II), cobalt(II), nickel(II), copper(II), and chromium(III) complexes of (E)-2-(2-(2-hydroxybenzylidene)hydrazinyl)-2-oxo-N-phenylacetamide were synthesized and characterized by elemental and thermal (TG and DTA) analyses, IR, UV-vis and (1)H NMR spectra as well as magnetic moment. Mononuclear complexes are obtained with 1:1 molar ratio except [Mn(HOS)(2)(H(2)O)(2)] and [Co(OS)(2)](H(2)O)(2) complexes which are obtained with 1:2 molar ratios. The IR spectra of ligand and metal complexes reveal various modes of chelation. The ligand behaves as a monobasic bidentate one and coordination occurs via the enolic oxygen atom and azomethine nitrogen atom. The ligand behaves also as a monobasic tridentate one and coordination occurs through the carbonyl oxygen atom, azomethine nitrogen atom and the hydroxyl oxygen. Moreover, the ligand behaves as a dibasic tridentate and coordination occurs via the enolic oxygen, azomethine nitrogen and the hydroxyl oxygen atoms. The electronic spectra and magnetic moment measurements reveal that all complexes possess octahedral geometry except the copper complexes possesses a square planar geometry. From the modeling studies, the bond length, bond angle, HOMO, LUMO and dipole moment had been calculated to confirm the geometry of the ligands and their investigated complexes. The thermal studies showed the type of water molecules involved in metal complexes as well as the thermal decomposition of some metal complexes. The protonation constant of the ligand and the stability constant of metal complexes were determined pH-metrically in 50% (v/v) dioxane-water mixture at 298 K and found to be consistent with Irving-Williams order. Moreover, the minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) of these compounds against Staphylococcus aureus, Escherechia coli and Candida albicans were determined.  相似文献

The series of 2-(1-(2,4-dibenzhydrylnaphthylimino)ethyl)-6-(1-(arylimino)ethyl)pyridine derivatives and their cobalt chlorides(Co1.Co5) were synthesized and fully characterized. The representative complexes Co2 and Co3 were confirmed by single crystal X-ray diffraction analyses, indicating pseudo-square-pyramidal geometry around the cobalt centre. All cobalt complexes,activated with either methylaluminoxane(MAO) or modified methylaluminoxane(MMAO), exhibited high activities towards ethylene polymerization, and produced polyethylenes with high molecular weight and highly linear feature as well as unimodal distribution.  相似文献

The dissociation constants of 4-(4-chlorophenylazo)-3-methyl-1-[2-hydroxy-3-morphilinopropane-1-yl]-2-pyrazolin-5-one (CAMP) has been determined potentiometrically in 0.1 M KCl and 40% (v/v) ethanol-water mixture. The stepwise stability constants of the formed complexes of Mn2+, Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, Zn2+, La3+, Ce3+ and UO(2)2+, with CAMP have been determined. The stability of the formed complexes were found as follows: UO(2)2+ > Ce3+ > La3+ > Mn2+ < Co2+ < Ni2+ < Cu+ > Zn2+. The thermodynamic parameters (deltaG, deltaH and deltaS) for CAMP and its complexes were evaluated and discussed. The dissociation process is non-spontaneous, endothermic and entropically unfavourable. The formation of the complexes have been found to be spontaneous, exothermic or endothermic (depending on the metal) and entropically favourable. The stoichiometries of these complexes were determined spectrophotometrically and conductometrically and indicated the formation of 1:1 and 1:2 (metal:ligand) complexes.  相似文献

N-{2-[5-(2-Hydroxyphenylmethyleneamino)-1-alkylbenzimidazol-2-yl]phenyl}-4-methyl-benzenesulfamides (H2L) and their zinc complexes Zn2L2 were synthesized. The structure of the ligands and complexes was studied by IR, UV, 1Н NMR, X-ray absorption spectroscopy, and X-ray diffraction analysis. A series of 2-(methyl-substituted-1H-benzoimidazol-2-yl)-6-(1-aryliminoethyl)pyridines (L1–L6) were synthesized and used as N^N^N tridentate ligands for their nickel complexes (C1–C12). All ligands were fully characterized by elemental, NMR and IR spectroscopic analyses, while their nickel complexes were characterized by elemental and IR spectroscopic analyses. The single-crystal X-ray diffraction reveals that the complexes C1, C3 and C9 have distorted octahedral geometry around the Ni center. All nickel complexes, activated with Et2AlCl, exhibit good catalytic activities toward ethylene oligomerization with major dimerization.  相似文献

Novel disilene-iron complexes [(E)- (1E) and (Z)-(eta2-R3SiClSi=SiClSiR3)Fe(CO)4 (1Z), SiR3 = tBu2MeSi] were synthesized by the reaction of the corresponding tetrachlorodisilane with an excess amount of K2Fe(CO)4, and the structures of 1E and 1Z were determined by X-ray crystallography. These complexes constitute not only the first transition-metal complexes with E,Z-isomerism but also the first complexes with halogen-substituted disilene ligands. The initial formation of 1Z during the synthetic reaction and the slow one-way isomerization of 1Z to 1E are rationalized by the intervention of the corresponding silylene complex (R3SiCl2Si)(R3Si)Si=Fe(CO)4.  相似文献

The physico-chemical properties and thermal stability in air of light lanthanide 2,3-, 2,4- and 3,4-dimethoxybenzoates were compared and the influence of -OCH3 substituent on their thermal stability was investigated. The complexes of these series are crystalline, hydrated or anhydrous salts with colours typical of Ln3+ ions. The carboxylate group is a bidentate, chelating (2,4- and 3,4-dimethoxybenzoates) or tridentate chelating and bridging ligand (2,3- dimethoxybenzoates). The thermal stability of 2,4- , 3,4- and 2,3- dimethoxybenzoates of light lanthanides was studied in the temperature range 273-1173 K. The positions of methoxy groups in benzene ring influence the thermal properties of the complexes and their decomposition mechanism. The stereochemical configurations of the complexes were deduced using spectral and magnetic properties. The preparation and characterization of 2-(2-benzimidazolylazo)-4-acetamidophenol (BIAAP) complexes are reported. Different physico-chemical methods like IR, Magnetic, solid reflectance spectra and molar conductance, were used to investigate the structure of BIAAP complexes. In particular, the thermal decomposition of Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) complexes of BIAAP is studied in nitrogen atmosphere. All the complexes do not contain coordinated water molecules but contain (2-4) water molecules of crystallization. The water molecules were removed in a single step. The complexes of Co(II) and Ni(II) ions exhibited a phase transition and the decomposition or combustion of BIAAP occurred in the second and subsequent steps. The final decomposition products were identified by mass spectrometry as the corresponding metal oxides or carbonate. The activation thermodynamic parameters, such as, energy of activation, enthalpy, entropy and free energy change of the complexes were evaluated and the stabilities of the thermal decomposition of the complexes are discussed. From the kinetic point of view, it is found that the thermal stability of the complexes follows the order Ni(II) > Cu(II) > Zn(II) > Fe(III) > Co(II) > Cd(II).  相似文献

A comparative study has been made of the complexation of uranium(VI) by 2-(2-thiazolyl)-4-methoxyphenol (TAMH) and 2-(2-thiazolylazo)-5-methoxyphenol(TAMR). The complexes are less stable and have lower molar absorptivities than the PAR and TAR complexes but are still useful for determination of uranium. The TAMH chelate can be extracted into isobutyl methyl ketone. Both complexes are 1:1 metal :ligand. For the TAMH complex log beta(1) = 8.8, = 1.4 x 10(4) at 610 mmu; for the TAMR complex log beta(1) = 8.1, = 2.0 x 10(4) at 530 mmu.  相似文献

The two macrocycles 1-(2-aminoethyl)- and 1-[2-(dimethylamino)ethyl]-4, 8, 11-trimethyl-1, 4, 8, 11-tetraazacyclotetradecane, 1 and 2 , respectively, and their metal complexes with Co2+, Ni2+ and Cu2+ were prepared. The different spectral properties of the complexes with these two ligands can be rationalized by assuming that, in the case of 1 , the amino group of the pendant arm is axially coordinated to the metal ion giving a pentacoordinate structure, whereas the dimethylamino group of 2 cannot bind because of sterical hindrance. This is also corroborated by the observation that the complexes of 2 react with unidentate ligands such as N and SCN? to give ternary species MLX+, whereas those of 1 do not. This indicates that the complexes of 1 have no free coordination site, their coordination sphere being completely saturated by the five N-atoms of the macrocycle, whereas the complexes of 2 having a vacant site still can add an unidentate ligand.  相似文献

(Z)-4-(4-Methoxyphenoxy)-4-oxobut-2-enoic acid and its solid rare earth complexes LnL3.2H2O (Ln=La, Eu, Tb) were synthesized and characterized by means of MS, elemental analysis, FTIR, 13C NMR and TG-DTA. The IR and 13C NMR results show that the carboxylic groups in the complexes coordinated to the rare earth ions in the form of a bidentate ligand, but the ester carboxylic groups have not taken part in the coordination. The luminescence spectra of Eu(III) and Tb(III) complexes in solid state were also studied. The strong luminescence emitting peaks at 616nm for Eu(III) and 547nm for Tb(III) can be observed, which could be attributed to the ligand has an enhanced effect to the luminescence intensity of the Eu and Tb.  相似文献

The multipodal ligand 3,3,7,7-tetra[N-benzyl-N-phenyl(acetamide)-2-oxymethyl]-5-oxanonane (L) and its europium and terbium nitrate complexes were synthesized. The complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, IR, fluorescence spectroscopy and conductivity. The lanthanide atoms are coordinated by 0 atoms from CO, COC. With the difference of the solvent, the fluorescence properties of solvent effect for the complexes were investigated.
