Two new N-acyl-glycosphingosines (cerebrosides) named longifoside-A {6'-tetracosenamide, N-[3,4-dihydroxy-1-(hydroxymethyl)-2-(beta-D-glucopyranosyl) heptadecyl]-(6'E)} and B {6'-tetracosenamide, N-[3-hydroxy-1-(hydroxymethyl)-2-(beta-D-glucopyranosyl)-4Z-heptadecenyl]-(6'E)} have been obtained from the methanolic extract of Mentha longifolia belonging to the family Lamiaceae. Both the cerebrosides were purified as their acetate-derivatives: 6'-tetracosenamide, N-[3,4-diacetoxy-1-(acetoxymethyl)-2-(tetraacetoxy-beta-D-glucopyranosyl) heptadecyl]-(6'E) and 6'-tetracosenamide, N-[3-acetoxy-1-(acetoxymethyl)-2-(tetraacetoxy-beta-D-glucopyranosyl)-4Z-heptadecenyl]-(6'E). Two new strigolactone-like metabolites, named peagol and peagoldione, with germinative activity for root parasitic plants, were isolated from pea root exudates and were characterized by spectroscopic methods. Peagol was more active on Orobanche foetida and Phelipanche aegyptiaca seeds, while peagoldione was active on P. aegyptiaca only. Low activity was found on Orobanche crenata and Orobanche minor. Stimulatory activity of peagol on O. foetida seeds is most relevant as this species does not respond to the synthetic strigolactone analogue GR24, usually used as Orobanche germination standard. 相似文献

Bioassay-directed fractionation of an ethanolic extract of stems of Vernonia cinerea has resulted in the isolation of two novel sesquiterpene lactones, vernolide-A and -B. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic analysis. Biological evaluation showed that vernolide-A demonstrated potent cytotoxicity against human KB, DLD-1, NCI-661, and Hela tumor cell lines (ED(50)=0.02, 0.05, 0.53, 0.04 microg/ml for KB, DLD-1, NCI-661, and Hela, respectively); vernolide-B had marginal cytoxicity (ED(50)=3.78, 5.88, 6.42 microg/ml for KB, NCI-661, and Hela, respectively). 相似文献

Five sesquiterpenes, dehydrocostus lactone (1), santamarine (5), beta-cyclocostunolide (6), 4alpha-hydroxy-4beta-methyldihydrocostol (7) and 10alpha-hydroxyl-artemisinic acid (9), along with four other compounds, beta-sitosterol (2), daucosterol (3), 5-hydroxymethyl-furaldehyde (4), and trans-syingin (8), were isolated and identified from the roots of Saussurea lappa (Compositae). Based on previous reports and our study, sesquiterpene derivatives are common and characteristic constituents of the genus Saussurea. Among the nine compounds obtained, 9 is a new sesquiterpene. It is an artemisinic acid derivative, whose structural skeleton has not been reported for Saussurea species before, but artemisinic acid is a common compound in another Compositae species, Artemisia annua. Dehydrocostus lactone (1) is present in high-content and is a possible bioprecursor of 10alpha-hydroxyartemisinic acid (9). 相似文献
