In this paper we obtain lower bound estimates for the blow-up rate of finite time blow-up solutions to the Cauchy problem for the Zakharov system in a nonhomogeneous medium in two space dimensions. By introducing suitable scale transformations of space and time, and the use of compactness arguments, we derive an optimal lower bound estimate in the energy space H2(R2L2(R2H1(R2) for the blow-up rate for t near the finite blow-up time T. Also we give an application to the virial identity for the Zakharov system under study.  相似文献

We consider the Cauchy problem of the Ostrovsky equation. We first prove the time local well-posedness in the anisotropic Sobolev space Hs,a with s>−a/2−3/4 and 0?a?−1 by the Fourier restriction norm method. This result include the time local well-posedness in Hs with s>−3/4 for both positive and negative dissipation, namely for both βγ>0 and βγ<0. We next consider the weak rotation limit. We prove that the solution of the Ostrovsky equation converges to the solution of the KdV equation when the rotation parameter γ goes to 0 and the initial data of the KdV equation is in L2. To show this result, we prove a bilinear estimate which is uniform with respect to γ.  相似文献

We show that the Cauchy problem for a higher order modification of the Camassa-Holm equation is locally well posed for initial data in the Sobolev space Hs(R) for s>s, where 1/4?s<1/2 and the value of s depends on the order of equation. Employing harmonic analysis methods we derive the corresponding bilinear estimate and then use a contraction mapping argument to prove existence and uniqueness of solutions.  相似文献

In this paper, we study blow-up solutions of virial type to the Zakharov system with magnetic field in a cold plasma in RN (N=2,3). After obtaining some a priori estimates on those terms generated by the magnetic field, we obtain a virial type blow-up result to the system under consideration. The result suggests that the magnetic field in a cold plasma doesn?t affect the virial type blow-up character of the Zakharov system.  相似文献

We consider a system of Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equations coupled through nonlinear terms, called the Hirota-Satsuma system. We study the initial value problem (IVP) associated to this system in the periodic case, for given data in Sobolev spaces Hs×Hs+1 with regularity below the one given by the conservation laws. Using the Fourier transform restriction norm method, we prove local well-posedness whenever s>−1/2. Also, with some restriction on the parameters of the system, we use the recent technique introduced by Colliander et al., called I-method and almost conserved quantities, to prove global well-posedness for s>−3/14.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the local and global regularity properties of the Zakharov system on the half line with rough initial data. These properties include local and global wellposedness results, local and global smoothing results, and the behavior of higher order Sobolev norms of the solutions. Smoothing means that the nonlinear part of the solution on the half line is smoother than the initial data. The gain in regularity coincides with the gain that was observed for the periodic Zakharov and the Zakharov on the real line. Uniqueness is proved in the class of smooth solutions. When the boundary value of the Schrödinger part of the solution is zero, uniqueness can be extended to the full range of local solutions. Under the same assumptions on the initial data, we also prove global-in-time existence and uniqueness of energy solutions. For more regular data, we prove that all higher Sobolev norms grow at most polynomially-in-time.  相似文献

A fully discrete finite difference scheme for dissipative Zakharov equations is analyzed. On the basis of a series of the time-uniform priori estimates of the difference solutions, the stability of the difference scheme and the error bounds of optimal order of the difference solutions are obtained in L2×H1×H2 over a finite time interval (0, T]. Finally, the existence of a global attractor is proved for a discrete dynamical system associated with the fully discrete finite difference scheme.  相似文献

Considered herein is a two-component Camassa-Holm system modeling shallow water waves moving over a linear shear flow. A wave-breaking criterion for strong solutions is determined in the lowest Sobolev space Hs, by using the localization analysis in the transport equation theory. Moreover, an improved result of global solutions with only a nonzero initial profile of the free surface component of the system is established in this Sobolev space Hs.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to study the Cauchy problem for certain incompressible magnetohydrodynamics‐α model. In the Sobolev space with fractional index s>1, we proved the local solutions for any initial data, and global solutions for small initial data. Furthermore, we also prove that as α→0, the MHD‐α model reduces to the MHD equations, and the solutions of the MHD‐α model converge to a pair of solutions for the MHD equations. We consider the asymptotic behavior of solutions of an infinite lattice dynamical system of dissipative Zakharov equation. By introducing new weight inner product and norm in the space and establishing uniform estimate on "Tail End" of solutions, we overcome some difficulties caused by the lack of Sobolev compact embedding under infinite lattice system, and prove the existence of the global attractor; then by using element decomposition and the covering property of a polyhedron in the finite-dimensional space, we obtain an upper bound for the Kolmogorov ε-entropy of the global attractor; finally, we present the upper semicontinuity of the global attractor.  相似文献

This paper deals with blowing up of solutions to the Cauchy problem for a class of general- ized Zakharov system with combined power-type nonlinearities in two and three space dimensions. On the one hand, for c0 = +∞ we obtain two finite time blow-up results of solutions to the aforementioned system. One is obtained under the condition α≥ 0 and 1 + 4/N ≤ p N +2/N-2 or α 0 and 1 p 1 + 4/N (N = 2, 3); the other is established under the condition N = 3, 1 p N +2/N-2 and α(p-3) ≥ 0. On the other hand, for c0 +∞ and α(p-3) ≥ 0, we prove a blow-up result for solutions with negative energy to the Zakharov system under study.  相似文献

We prove that the Cauchy problem for the Schrödinger-Korteweg-de Vries system is locally well-posed for the initial data belonging to the Sobolev spaces L2(RH−3/4(R), and Hs(RH−3/4(R) (s>−1/16) for the resonant case. The new ingredient is that we use the -type space, introduced by the first author in Guo (2009) [10], to deal with the KdV part of the system and the coupling terms. In order to overcome the difficulty caused by the lack of scaling invariance, we prove uniform estimates for the multiplier. This result improves the previous one by Corcho and Linares (2007) [6].  相似文献

We prove that the Schrödinger equation is approximately controllable in Sobolev spaces HsHs, s>0s>0, generically with respect to the potential. We give two applications of this result. First, in the case of one space dimension, combining our result with a local exact controllability property, we get the global exact controllability of the system in higher Sobolev spaces. Then we prove that the Schrödinger equation with a potential which has a random time-dependent amplitude admits at most one stationary measure on the unit sphere S   in L2L2.  相似文献

We consider a periodic magnetic Schrödinger operator Hh, depending on the semiclassical parameter h>0, on a noncompact Riemannian manifold M such that H1(M,R)=0 endowed with a properly discontinuous cocompact isometric action of a discrete group. We assume that there is no electric field and that the magnetic field has a periodic set of compact magnetic wells. We suppose that the magnetic field vanishes regularly on a hypersurface S. First, we prove upper and lower estimates for the bottom λ0(Hh) of the spectrum of the operator Hh in L2(M). Then, assuming the existence of non-degenerate miniwells for the reduced spectral problem on S, we prove the existence of an arbitrarily large number of spectral gaps for the operator Hh in the region close to λ0(Hh), as h→0. In this case, we also obtain upper estimates for the eigenvalues of the one-well problem.  相似文献

We consider the Dirichlet problem for positive solutions of the equation −Δm(u)=f(u) in a bounded smooth domain Ω, with f locally Lipschitz continuous, and prove some regularity results for weak solutions. In particular when f(s)>0 for s>0 we prove summability properties of , and Sobolev's and Poincaré type inequalities in weighted Sobolev spaces with weight |Du|m−2. The point of view of considering |Du|m−2 as a weight is particularly useful when studying qualitative properties of a fixed solution. In particular, exploiting these new regularity results we can prove a weak comparison principle for the solutions and, using the well known Alexandrov-Serrin moving plane method, we then prove a general monotonicity (and symmetry) theorem for positive solutions u of the Dirichlet problem in bounded (and symmetric in one direction) domains when f(s)>0 for s>0 and m>2. Previously, results of this type in general bounded (and symmetric) domains had been proved only in the case 1<m<2.  相似文献

We consider a dissipative version of the modified Korteweg-de Vries equation ut+uxxxuxx+x(u3)=0. We prove global well-posedness results on the associated Cauchy problem in the Sobolev spaces Hs(R) for s>−1/4 while for s<−1/2 we prove some ill-posedness issues.  相似文献

In this paper we consider the motion of a rigid body in a viscous incompressible fluid when some Navier slip conditions are prescribed on the body's boundary. The whole system “viscous incompressible fluid + rigid body” is assumed to occupy the full space R3R3. We start by proving the existence of global weak solutions to the Cauchy problem. Then, we exhibit several properties of these solutions. First, we show that the added-mass effect can be computed which yields better-than-expected regularity (in time) of the solid velocity-field. More precisely we prove that the solid translation and rotation velocities are in the Sobolev space H1H1. Second, we show that the case with the body fixed can be thought as the limit of infinite inertia of this system, that is when the solid density is multiplied by a factor converging to +∞. Finally we prove the convergence in the energy space of weak solutions “à la Leray” to smooth solutions of the system “inviscid incompressible fluid + rigid body” as the viscosity goes to zero, till the lifetime T   of the smooth solution of the inviscid system. Moreover we show that the rate of convergence is optimal with respect to the viscosity and that the solid translation and rotation velocities converge in H1(0,T)H1(0,T).  相似文献

Recently, Grünrock and Pecher proved global well-posedness of the 2d Dirac–Klein–Gordon equations given initial data for the spinor and scalar fields in H s and H s+1/2 × H s-1/2, respectively, where s ≥ 0, but uniqueness was only known in a contraction space of Bourgain type, strictly smaller than the natural solution space C([0,T]; H s × H s+1/2 × H s-1/2). Here we prove uniqueness in the latter space for s ≥ 0. This improves a recent result of Pecher, where the range s > 1/30 was covered.  相似文献

We prove existence and uniqueness of solutions to the Klein–Gordon–Zakharov system in the energy space H 1×L 2 on some time interval which is uniform with respect to two large parameters c and α. These two parameters correspond to the plasma frequency and the sound speed. In the simultaneous high-frequency and subsonic limit, we recover the nonlinear Schrödinger system at the limit. We are also able to say more when we take the limits separately.  相似文献
