A simple reflection and transmission theory of plane waves at the interface of pyroelectric media is studied in this paper. In an infinite homogeneous pyroelectric medium, there are four bulk wave modes: quasi-longitudinal (QL), two quasi-transversal (QT) and one temperature (T) waves, whose velocities depend on the frequency and incident angle. Simultaneously, a quasi-surface (QS) wave on each side of the interface of pyroelectric bi-materials will appear in the general reflection and transmission problem. The quasi-surface wave has the same wave vector component with the incident waves along the interface plane. So, the reflection and transmission problem is different with the propagation wave in the infinite homogeneous space, but it is still solvable. In the reflection and transmission problem, there are ten complex continuous conditions on the interface, which are satisfied by the bulk and quasi-surface waves together. Numerical calculations are performed for bi-material PZT-6B/BaTiO3. Incidences of the quasi-longitudinal and quasi-transversal waves from the side of PZT-6B or BaTiO3 medium are discussed. The reflection and transmission amplitude coefficients and energy flow ratios varying with the incident angle are examined.  相似文献

The boundary-value problem of the magnetoelastic wave interaction with a moving domain wall in a ferromagnetic crystal is solved in the nonexchange magnetostatic approximation with allowance for the external magnetic field. It is shown that the difference introduced by magnetic field between the ferromagnetic resonance frequencies of the domains does not cause any noticeably departure of the refraction characteristics of reflected and transmitted waves from those observed at zero frequency mismatch. By contrast, the magnitudes of the transmission and reflection coefficients strongly depend on the external magnetic field and on the mobility of the domain wall. The dependence of the magnitude of the reflection coefficient on the external magnetic field at a fixed angle of shear wave incidence is found to possess two ferromagnetic resonance peaks. The positions and heights of the peaks may vary depending on the mobility of the domain wall.  相似文献

The reflection of s- and p-polarised electromagnetic plane waves from an N-layer system of anisotropic dielectric films upon transparent homogeneous substrate is investigated in the long-wavelength approximation. The analytical expressions are obtained for the amplitude reflection (transmission) coefficients, reflectances (transmittances), and ellipsometric angles of an anisotropic multilayer thin-film system. All analytical results are in agreement with the numerical solution of the reflection problem for anisotropic stratified medium. The possibilities of using obtained expressions for resolving the inverse problem for ultrathin anisotropic films upon isotropic substrates are discussed.  相似文献

In this paper, the reflection and transmission at the planar interface between an isotropic achiral medium (IAM) and an isotropic chiral medium (ICM) are theoretically studied. For one of the circularly polarized (CP) waves fullfilling the wavenumber matching condition incident from IAM with incident angle from 0 to π/2, the amplitude reflection and transmission coefficients are constant. The phenomenon is called the omnidirectional constant transmission (OCT). In the situation of CP waves incident from ICM, OCT will not occur, but the absolute values of the amplitude reflection and transmission coefficients can be constants in a range of incident angle under certain conditions. It is suggested that for OCT to occur, both the wavenumber matching condition and the mode matching condition should be satisfied.  相似文献

Quantitative evaluation of ultrasonic C-scan images in homogeneous and layered anisotropic austenitic materials is of general importance for understanding the influence of anisotropy on wave fields during ultrasonic non-destructive testing and evaluation of these materials. In this contribution, a three dimensional ray tracing method is presented for evaluating ultrasonic C-scan images quantitatively in general homogeneous and layered anisotropic austenitic materials. The directivity of the ultrasonic ray source in general homogeneous columnar grained anisotropic austenitic steel material (including layback orientation) is obtained in three dimensions based on Lamb’s reciprocity theorem. As a prerequisite for ray tracing model, the problem of ultrasonic ray energy reflection and transmission coefficients at an interface between (a) isotropic base material and anisotropic austenitic weld material (including layback orientation), (b) two adjacent anisotropic weld metals and (c) anisotropic weld metal and isotropic base material is solved in three dimensions. The influence of columnar grain orientation and layback orientation on ultrasonic C-scan image is quantitatively analyzed in the context of ultrasonic testing of homogeneous and layered austenitic steel materials. The presented quantitative results provide valuable information during ultrasonic characterization of homogeneous and layered anisotropic austenitic steel materials.  相似文献

给出了高斯光束入射到挛晶结构的电磁场分布,解出了反射系数和透射系数。根据晶体的色散关系解出了入射角、反射角和折射角关于晶体参量及波矢的方程,并根据角度方程给出了在一定参量下反射角和折射角关于入射角变化的关系图,以图示的方法显示了光束在界面处的异常性质。根据角度关系和反射、透射系数分析了异常光束在界面处能够出现二性折射、负反射、全透射和全反射等光束的奇特性质;分析了出现这些奇特性质对晶体参量和入射角所要求的条件。根据时间平均的能流密度公式,用数值模拟的方法给出了二性折射、全透射和全反射在特定参量下的高斯光束在挛晶内的能流密度分布图及当发生全反射时不同宽度光束在界面处关于入射角的古斯-亨兴(Goos-Hanchen)位移。  相似文献

Based on the reciprocity theorem, the far field formulation of an arbitrarily oriented electric dipole located at the interface of layered anisotropic half space is deduced. Then, considering the optical path difference of the direct wave and reflected wave, the formulation of the electric dipole located above the interface of layered anisotropic half space is discussed, and the transmission matrix method for computing the reflection coefficients of anisotropic layered half space is introduced in detail. Finally, numerical examples of the field produced by an electric dipole located above layered anisotropic half space are given. The numerical results show that this method can be used in the fast computation of far radiation field of an arbitrarily oriented dipole above layered anisotropic half space.  相似文献

The reflection and transmission coefficients are calculated for 2.25 MHz compression and shear waves incident on idealized cracks (ie, a slot with smooth, flat, parallel faces) in steel filled with solid sodium. The coefficients are calculated as a function of crack width and angle of incidence. Both polarizations (SV and SH) of shear wave are considered, as well as compression wave incidence. It is concluded that a crack of width 0.01 mm or greater, full of solid sodium, will return at least 10% of the incident compression wave amplitude. With a suitable choice of inspection angle, 40% reflection of the incident amplitude can be achieved for either compression or shear (SV) waves. The use of shear waves with the uncommon SH polarization also looks promising.  相似文献

Snell's law at the boundary between two transversely isotropic media with a vertical axis of symmetry (VTI media) can be solved by setting up a fourth order polynomial for the sine of the reflection/transmission angles. This approach reveals the possible presence of an anomalous postcritical angle for certain transversely isotropic media. There are thus possibly three incident angle regimes for the reflection/refraction of longitudinal or transverse waves incident upon a VTI medium: precritical, postcritical/preanomalous, and postanomalous. The anomalous angle occurs for certain strongly anisotropic media where the required root to the phase velocity equation must be switched in order to obey Snell's law. The reflection/transmission coefficients, polarization directions, and the phase velocity are all affected by both the anisotropy and the incident angle. The incident critical angles are also effected by the anisotropy.  相似文献

The Goos-Hänchen shift at the surface of a uniaxially anisotropic left-handed material film is investigated, for the situation of that there is an arbitrary angle between the optical axis and the interface of the material. The analytical expressions of the Goos-Hänchen shifts are derived, for both cases of that the total reflection occurs and does not occur at the first interface. The sign of the Goos-Hänchen shifts in the two situations is analysed. The results show that the Goos-Hänchen shift of the reflected wave is the same as that of the transmitted one for the case that the total reflection does not occur at the first interface; the Goos-Hänchen shift of the transmitted wave oscillates as the thickness of the film is increased, and its overall tendency is increased; the Goos-Hänchen shift of the transmitted wave realizes its absolute maximum when the transmitted wave resonances, the absolute maximum is almost several 10 times of the wavelength of the incident wave; the Goos-Hänchen shift of the transmitted wave is significantly influenced by the incident angle and the angle between the optical axis and the interface.  相似文献

The present paper aims to investigate the reflection and refraction of quasi-longitudinal (qP) waves at the welded interface between rotating piezoelectric and FGPM half-spaces. The equation of motion and constitutive relations for both the media have been used to derive the expressions for reflection and refraction coefficients for various reflected and transmitted waves. Also, the energy ratios (dependent on incident angle) are calculated. Moreover, the sum of all energy ratios is approximately unity at each value of incident angle which ensures that the law of energy conservation at the interface. Moreover, it is observed that the reflection and refraction coefficients of various reflected and transmitted waves depend not only on the incident angle but also on the material constants of the medium, parameters of the electric potential, initial stress as well as rotation parameters of the two media. A particular case has been deduced to validate the present study. This investigation may have possible applications in the areas of signal processing, transduction, frequency shifting (a change in the velocity of surface waves and controlling the selectivity of a filter compensation) of individual devices.  相似文献

A solution of the problem of X-ray specular reflection from a statistically rough surface is presented. It is based on using the Green function formalism. The Kirchhoff formula is used to describe the transmission of the wave field through a rough interface. Generally, microscopically exact expressions for the coefficients of transmission through a rough surface and reflection from it are obtained by taking multiple scattering effects into account. Averaging of the obtained expressions over possible realizations of random roughness of the interface between media allows to obtain rigorous expressions for specular reflection and transmission coefficients. The behavior of exact solutions in the limiting case of infinite correlation lengths is studied. It is shown that, in this case, the obtained solution corresponds to the Debye-Waller normalization. Expressions for the reflection and transmission coefficients making it possible to carry out numerical calculations are obtained in the Bourret approximation of multiple-scattering theory.  相似文献

This work presents an explicit expression for the reflection and transmission coefficients of an anisotropic thin film in the general case in which the optical axis and the incident ray are arbitrarily directed in three dimensions. The polarization conversion quantities for reflected light from an anisotropic thin film are calculated and analyzed for two three-layered systems. With light incident from a dense medium, polarization conversion will be enhanced at a particular incident angle that exceeds the critical angle.  相似文献

The paper numerically studies the harmonic Rayleigh wave scattering at the 90-degree corner of isotropic substrate. The finite element method is used. The main attention is paid to two cases. The first one is the apex of the substrate corner is rounded off. The second one consists in that a layer of foreign material is deposited on the face which scatters the Rayleigh wave. The dependence of the reflection and the transmission coefficients on the Poisson ratio, the angle of incidence, the fillet radius, and the layer thickness are obtained. It is found that if the Rayleigh wave is incident perpendicularly to the substrate border, then the fillet of small radius as compared to the wavelength increases the reflection coefficient and decreases the transmission coefficient by factors 1.3–1.8. At normal incidence, the Poisson ratio does not change qualitatively the dependence of the reflection and transmission coefficients on the fillet radius. But the Poisson ratio can substantially affect the angle dependence of these coefficients if the wave is incident obliquely on the corner rounded off. It is also found out that a layer can modify the conditions of scattering such that the incident wave is totally reflected without transmission and conversion into bulk waves in a wide interval of angle of incidence, although, in principle, the bulk wave generation is allowed within a part of this angle interval.  相似文献

Analytical expressions defining the reflection coefficients have been derived in the framework of the known problem of elastic wave reflection from the free surface and rigid interface. The found reflection coefficients are used to analyze the dependences of different strain and rotation components during elastic wave reflection from the free surface and rigid interface in the case of ideal contact and possible slip on the wave incidence angle and elastic parameters of the medium. Deformation features of elastic media at the studied interfaces are considered for incident longitudinal and transverse waves.  相似文献

采用Legendre正交多项式法,对液/固界面声波反射和透射系数进行求解。利用Legendre正交多项式对正交各向异性板中的位移解进行展开,推导出板中的应力和波动控制方程。联立液/固界面的边界条件和波动控制方程,建立线性无关方程组,用以计算液/固界面的反射和透射系数及Legendre多项式的展开系数,计算所得铝板液/固界面的反射和透射系数与传递矩阵法的计算结果吻合良好。以单向纤维增强复合材料板为例,在不同的方位角下,分析了反射和透射系数随斜入射角度、入射波频率的变化关系,以及板中声场的位移分布。所取Legendre正交多项式截止阶数越大,可用来计算的频厚积范围越大。研究拓展了Legendre正交多项式法的适用范围,为材料力学性能的声学测量提供了理论基础。   相似文献

Using the simplest (sinusoidal) corrugation profile in the approximation of absence of losses in the material as an example, we study the regimes of complete transformation of an incident wave to the diffraction lobe by a corrugated metal surface or a corrugated interface of two dielectric media. A numerical-intuitive pattern of appearance and evolution of such regimes with increasing corrugation amplitude is revealed. It is shown that the regimes of complete transformation of an incident wave to the diffraction lobe are possible in both the case of autocollimation and the case of a considerable deviation from it. The examination is based on a numerical method of solving the integral equation by means of a specially created interactive processing system in Visual Fortran.  相似文献

为了研究一维各向异性光子晶体的全反射隧穿偏振特性,利用传输矩阵法计算了TE波和TM波以大于全反射角入射一维各向异性光子晶体时的透射率,在透射波中发现了TE波和TM波的一、二级全反射隧穿带.得出了与一维各向同性光子晶体的全反射隧穿效应的不同点,即TE波和TM波的一、二级全反射隧穿带的频率中心和频率宽度存在着较大的差异,利用这个特性可以将两种偏振光进行频率分离,为设计优质偏振滤波器提供理论依据.  相似文献

The Maxwell equations are solved for a random discrete medium using the single-scattering approximation and the condition of immersion in a maximally packed medium. The reflection and transmission factors of plane waves at the interface between vacuum and a random discrete anisotropic medium are determined. The calculated and experimental results on reflection and transmission of plane waves near the edge of a forest as an example of natural anisotropy of a random discrete medium are compared.  相似文献
