This paper presents the global bifurcation and chaotic behavior for the coupling of longitudinal and transverse vibration of a thin elastic plate in large overall motion. First the parametric equations of the homoclinic orbits of such a system is obtained. Then, by using the Melnikov method and digital computer simulation. the behavior of bifurcation and chaos of this vibration system is investigated in the cases of different resonances. An analysis was given for the free vibration of clamped circular plate when temperature and stress fields were coupled. A nonlinear differential equation about time was obtained by using Galerkin’s method. The numerical results of vibration amplitude vs time were compared with the uncoupled case. It is found that if the given initial displacement is small, the effect of thermoelastical coupling will make the natural frequency increase; if the given initial displacement is large, it will be the opposite case. Effects of some different vibration factors are also discussed.  相似文献

The parametric excited vibration of a pipe under thermal loading may occur because the fluid is often transported heatedly. The effects of thermal loading on the pipe stability and local bifurcations have rarely been studied. The stability and the local bifurcations of the lateral parametric resonance of the pipe induced by the pulsating fluid velocity and the thermal loading are studied. A mathematical model for a simply supported pipe is developed according to the Hamilton principle. Two partial differential equations describing the lateral and longitudinal vibration are obtained. The singularity theory is utilized to analyze the stability and the bifurcation of the system solutions. The transition sets and the bifurcation diagrams are obtained both in the unfolding parameter space and the physical parameter space, which can reveal the relationship between the thermal field parameter and the dynamic behaviors of the pipe. The frequency response and the relationship between the critical thermal rate and the pulsating fluid velocity are obtained. The numerical results demonstrate the accuracy of the single-mode expansion of the solution and the stability and local bifurcation analyses. It also confirms the existence of the chaos. The presented work can provide valuable information for the design of the pipeline and the controllers to prevent the structural instability.  相似文献

This paper concerns in the active and passive hybrid control of vibration of the thin plate with Local Active Constrained damping Layer (LACL). The governing equations of system are formulated based on the constitutive equations of elastic, viscoelastic, piezoelectric materials. Galerkin method and GHM method are employed to transform partial differential equations into ordinary ones with a lower dimension. LQR method of classical control theory is used in simulating calculation. Numeral results show that the active and passive hybrid control manner obtained in this paper is a better one for vibration control of the plate. Based on our previous work[1], self-excited vibration of a multi-degree-of-freedom system caused by dry friction between two elastic structures is investigated using the Chinese cultural relic dragon washbasin as an example. Some new characteristics of the self-excited vibration in this kind of system are found. The conditions under which self-excited vibration occurs at low-order or high-order modes are discussed. Effects of changes in parameters of the system on the self-excited vibration are analyzed. The vibration mechanism of the water droplets spurting phenomenon of the Chinese cultural relic dragon washbasin is further explained. This investigation presents a new idea for modeling the self-excited vibration caused by dry friction interaction between two elastic structures. A passive vibration absorber, termed the nonlinear tuned vibration absorber (NLTVA), is designed for the suppression of chatter vibrations. Unlike most passive vibration absorbers proposed in the literature for suppressing machine tool vibrations, the NLTVA comprises both a linear and a nonlinear restoring force. Its linear characteristics are tuned in order to optimize the stability properties of the machining operation, while its nonlinear properties are chosen in order to control the bifurcation behavior of the system and guarantee robustness of stable operation. The problem of beam-plates with a delamination located at an arbitrary site undergoing non-linear free vibration without damp is investigated. For this problem, nonlinear governing equations as well as the continuity, equilibrium and compatibility conditions are established. The Galerkin method and harmonic balance method are employed to find solutions. Finally, in some examples amplitude-frequency curves of the delaminated structure are presented in order to reveal some special dynamic features. The present paper introduces a new method of controlling friction-driven self-excited vibration. The control law is primarily derived using the Lyapunov's second method. A single degree-of-freedom oscillator on a moving belt represents the primary model of the system. The control action is achieved by modulating the normal load at the frictional interface based on the state of the oscillatory system. The basic mechanism of the control action utilises subcritical Hopf bifurcation of the equilibrium followed by cyclic-fold bifurcation (of limit cycle oscillations) to globally stabilise the equilibrium. The basic mechanism is qualitatively independent of the exact model of friction. Different models of friction, like, algebraic model, LuGre model and switch model with time-dependent static friction are considered to substantiate the above claim. An approximate method for estimating the critical value of the control parameter that ensures global stability of the equilibrium is also proposed.  相似文献

Based on the three dimensional elastic theory, the state equation of the axisymmetric free vibration of transversely isotropic circular plates is established. Taking the advantage of finite Hankel transform, two exact solutions are derived for two boundary conditions, i. e. the rigid-slipping boundary and elastic simply supported boundary. Finally, numerical results are presented and compared with those of FEM. To investigate the principal resonance in transverse nonlinear parametric vibration of an axially accelerating viscoelastic string, the method of multiple scales is applied directly to the nonlinear partial differential equation that governs the transverse vibration of the string. To derive the governing equation, Newton‘s second law, Lagrangean strain, and Kelvin‘s model are respectively used to account the dynamical relation, geometric nonlinearity and the viscoelasticity of the string material. Based on the solvability condition of eliminating the secular terms, closed form solutions are obtained for the amplitude and the existence conditions of nontrivial steady-state response of the principal parametric resonance. The Lyapunov linearized stability theory is employed to analyze the stability of the trivial and nontrivial solutions in the principal parametric resonance. Some numerical examples are presented to show the effects of the mean transport speed, the amplitude and the frequency of speed variation.  相似文献

This paper presents a new method for perturbation analysis of vibration modes with close frequencies. The main idea of this method is to transform the perturbation analysis problem of vibration modes with close frequencies into a perturbation problem associated with repeated frequencies. 非线性系统的随机振动分析一直是结构动力学领域中的难点,已有一些研究表明基于矩等效的线性化方法在功率谱预测上会得到不恰当的分析结果;另一方面,由于不确定性在实际工程中普遍存在,如果同时考虑非线性和不确定性,更是显著增加了问题难度。本文以具有非线性非理想边界梁为研究对象,基于梁模型的动力学微分方程推导了对应的广义频响函数,并应用Volterra级数理论建立了非线性系统随机振动的谱分析方法,最后,结合蒙特卡洛抽样方法计算了具有参数不确定性非线性梁响应功率谱的均值和方差,讨论了不确定性对结构随机振动响应统计特征的影响。  相似文献

In order to investigate the influence of the vertical vibration loading on the liquefaction of saturated sand, one dimensional model for the saturated sand with a vertical vibration is presented based on the two phase continuous media theory. The development of the liquefaction and the liquefaction region are analyzed. It is shown that the vertical vibration loading could induce liquefaction. The rate of the liquefaction increases with the increase of the initial limit strain or initial porosity or amplitude and frequency of loading, and increases with the decrease of the permeability or initial modulus. It is shown also that there is a phase lag in the sand column. When the sand permeability distribution is non-uniform, the pore pressure and the strain will rise sharply where the permeability is the smallest, and fracture might be induced. With the development of liquefaction, the strength of the soil foundation becomes smaller and smaller. In the limiting case, landslides or debris flows could occur. In this paper, based on our previous papers [1–4], the general theory of fuzzy random vibration with fuzzy parameters is studied. In order to better describe the random excitation with fuzziness in mathematics, first, the random variable and random process with a fuzzy parameter are defined and their probability distributions and statistical moments are discussed. Secondly, by simulating the fuzzy random excitation as a random process with a fuzzy parameter, the fundamental method and numerical method are presented for analysing the fuzzy random response of linear or nonlinear oscillators subjected to this kind of excitation. Finally, the methods are applied to the fuzzy random vibration of aseismic structures and a concrete example is given.This paper is supported by the Natural Science Foundation of China.  相似文献

By employing the general solution for coupled three-dimensional equations of a transversely isotropic piezoelectric body, this paper investigates the free vibration of a circular plate made of piezoelectric material. Three-dimensional exact solutions are then obtained under two specified boundary conditions, which can be used for both axisymmetric and non-axisymmetric cases. The response of a nonlinear vibration system may be of three types, namely, periodic, quasiperiodic or chaotic, when the parameters of the system are changed. The periodic motions can be identified by Poincare map, and harmonic wavelet transform (HWT) can distinguish quasiperiod from chaos, so the existing domains of different types of motions of the system can be revealed in the parametric space with the method of HWT joining with Poincar'e map. The topological bifurcation diagrams and the coefficients of bifurcation equation were obtained by C-L method. According to obtained bifurcation diagrams and combining control theory, the method of robust control of periodic bifurcation was presented, which differs from generic methods of bifurcation control. It can make the existing motion pattern into the goal motion pattern. Because the method does not make strict requirement about parametric values of the controller, it is convenient to design and make it. Numerical simulations verify validity of the method.  相似文献

The stability and vibration of an elastic rod with a circular cross section under the constraint of a cylinder is discussed. The differential equations of dynamics of the constrained rod are established with Euler’s angles as variables describing the attitude of the cross section. The existence conditions of helical equilibrium under constraint are discussed as a special configuration of the rod. The stability of the helical equilibrium is discussed in the realms of statics and dynamics, respectively. Necessary conditions for the stability of helical rod are derived in space domain and time domain, and the difference and relationship between Lyapunov’s and Euler’s stability concepts are discussed. The free frequency of flexural vibration of the helical rod with cylinder constraint is obtained in analytical form.
