New polynuclear nickel trimethylacetates [Ni6(OH)4(C5H9O2)8(C5H10O2)4] (6), [Ni7(OH)7(C5H9O2)7(C5H10O2)6(H2O)] x 0.5 C6H14 x 0.5 H2O (7), [Ni8(OH)4(H2O)2(C5H9O2)12] (8), and [Ni9(OH)6(C5H9O2)12(C5H10O2)4] x C5H10O2 x 3 H2O (9), where C5H9O2 is trimethylacetate and C5H10O2 is trimethylacetic acid, have been found. Their structures were determined by X-ray crystallography. Because of their high solubility in low-polarity organic solvents, compounds 6-9 reacted with stable organic radicals to form the first heterospin compounds based on polynuclear Ni(II) trimethylacetate and nitronyl nitroxides containing pyrazole (L(1)-L(3)), methyl (L(4)), or imidazole (L(5)) substituent groups, respectively, in side chain [Ni7(OH)5(C5H9O2)9(C5H10O2)2(L(1))2(H2O)] x 0.5 C6H14 x H2O (6+1a), [Ni7(OH)5(C5H9O2)9(C5H10O2)2(L2)2(H2O)] x H2O (6+1b), [Ni7(OH)5(C5H9O2)9(C5H10O2)2(L(3))2(H2O)] x H2O (6+1c), [Ni6(OH)3(C5H9O2)9(C5H10O2)4(L(4))] x 1.5 C6H14 (6'), and [Ni4OH)3(C5H9O2)5(C5H10O2)4(L(5))] x 1.5 C7H8 (4). Their structures were also determined by X-ray crystallography. Although Ni(II) trimethylacetates may have varying nuclearity and can change their nuclearity during recrystallization or interactions with nitroxides, this family of compounds is easy to study because of its topological relationship. For any of these complexes, the polynuclear framework may be derived from the [Ni6] polynuclear fragment {Ni6(mu4-OH)2(mu3-OH)2(mu2-C5H9O2-O,O')6(mu2-C5H9O2-O,O)(mu4-C5H9O2-O,O,O',O')(C5H10O2)4}, which is shaped like an open book. On the basis of this fragment, the structure of 7-nuclear compounds (7 and 6+1a-c) is conveniently represented as the result of symmetric addition of other mononuclear fragments to the four Ni(II) ions lying at the vertexes of the [Ni6] open book. The 9-nuclear complex is formed by the addition of trinuclear fragments to two Ni(II) ions lying on one of the lateral edges of the [Ni6] open book. This wing of the 9-nuclear complex preserves its structure in another type of 6-nuclear complex (6') with the boat configuration. If, however, two edge-sharing Ni(II) ions are removed from [Ni6] (one of these lies at a vertex of the open book and the other, on the book-cover line), we obtain a 4-nuclear fragment recorded in the molecular structure of 4. Twinning of this 4-nuclear fragment forms highly symmetric molecule 8, which is a new chemical version of cubane.  相似文献

Reaction of aqueous/ethanolic solutions of CoCl2.6H2O and nitrilotripropionic acid (H3ntp=N(CH2CH2COOH)3) in the presence of potassium hydroxide affords the hydroxy-bridged tetranuclear cluster [Co4mu3-OH)2(H2O)6(ntp)2].2H2O (1). The Ni(II) analogue [Ni4(mu3-OH)2(H2O)6(ntp)2].2H2O (2) can also be isolated using aqueous solutions and Ni(SO4).7H2O as metal salt. With small changes in reaction conditions the methoxy-bridged analogue, [Ni4(mu3-OMe)2(H2O)6(ntp)2](3), can also be isolated. In these tetramers the M(II) ions are oxygen-bridged and exhibit a defect dicubane-like core with two missing vertices. The magnetic properties have been studied for all three clusters and reveal competing antiferromagnetic and ferromagnetic interactions between the four Co(II) ions in 1 and ferromagnetic coupling between the four Ni(II) ions in 2 and 3. In all three compounds the individual clusters order antiferromagnetically at Neel temperatures below 1 K.  相似文献

The complexes [(L)(2)Ni(II)(2)M(II)(mu(2)-1,3-OAc)(2)(mu(2)-1,1-OAc)(2)(S)(2)] x xMeOH [HL = N-methyl-N-(2-hydroxybenzyl)-2-aminoethyl-2-pyridine; M = Ni, S = MeOH, x = 6 (1); M = Mn, S = H(2)O, x = 0 (2); M = Co, S = MeOH, x = 6 (3)] have been synthesized. Crystal structures reveal that three octahedral MII ions form a linear array with two terminal moieties {(L)Ni(II)(mu(2)-1,3-OAc)(mu(2)-1,1-OAc)(MeOH/H(2)O)}(-) in a facial donor set and a central MII ion which is connected to the terminal ions via bridging phenolate and two types of bridging acetates. Magnetic measurements reveal that the Ni(II)(3) and Ni(II)(2)Co(II) centers are ferromagnetically and Ni(II)(2)Mn(II) center is antiferromagnetically coupled. An attempt has been made to rationalize the observed magneto-structural behavior.  相似文献

The octanuclear aggregates M(8)(mu(4)-O)(2)(O(2)CN(i)()Pr(2))(12) [M = Mn(II) 1, Co(II) 2, Ni(II) 3] have been prepared in good yields by controlled hydrolysis of the corresponding metal carbamate precursors [M(O(2)CN(i)()Pr(2))(2)](n)(). X-ray analysis has shown compounds 1-3 to be isostructural. The core of 2 contains two distorted [M(4)O] tetrahedra related by an inversion center. The hexanuclear carbamates M(6)(O(2)CNEt(2))(12) in toluene undergo a metal redistribution process with formation of the hexanuclear carbamates M'(x)M' '(6-x)(O(2)CNEt(2))(12), M' = Co, M' ' = Mn, as evidenced by mass-spectrometric data. In the presence of moisture, the mixed octanuclear carbamates Co(x)Mn(6-x)(MnO)(CoO)(O(2)CNEt(2))(12) were promptly formed and detected by DCI/MS measurements. Mass spectral data of Co(8)(mu(4)-O)(2)(O(2)CN(i)Pr(2))(12) are also reported.  相似文献

Reactions of 3,4-dimethyl-3',4'-bis(diphenylphosphino)tetrathiafulvalene, o-P2, with [BF(4)](-) salts of Fe(ii), Co(ii), Ni(II), Pd(II), and Pt(II) yield complexes of general formula [M(o-P2)(2)][BF(4)](2). Similar reactions between o-P2 and AgSbF(6) or AgPF(6) produced the salts [Ag(o-P2)(2)][X] where X = [SbF(6)](-) or [PF(6)](-). The resulting compounds were fully characterized by (1)H and (31)P{(1)H} NMR, infrared and electronic absorption spectroscopies, cyclic voltammetry, FAB-MS and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The paramagnetic Co(II) compound exhibits an S = 3/2 state with large spin-orbit coupling contribution at higher temperatures and an effective S' = 1/2 state below 20 K. Electrochemical studies of the compounds indicate that the two functionalized TTF ligands are not in electronic communication and that they essentially behave as isolated redox centers.  相似文献

Aqueous reaction mixtures containing citric acid, guanidinium carbonate, and a range of metal cations (Mg2+, Mn2+, Fe2+, Co2+, Ni2+, and Zn2+) at room temperature give crystalline products of composition [C(NH2)3]8[(M(II))4(cit)4].8H2O (cit = citrate). In all cases, the crystals are suitable for single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies, which reveal that the compounds are isostructural (space group P4(2)/n; a approximately 16.2 A, and c approximately 11.5 A). As was intended, cubane-like [M4(cit)4]8- complex anions are present. The individual citrate units are chiral, but each cubane unit contains two of one hand and two of the other, related around an S4 axis. The cubane units are involved in no less than 40 H-bonding interactions with guanidinium cations and lattice water molecules. Detailed susceptibility and magnetization studies show that the intracluster magnetic coupling within the Mn(II), Fe(II), Co(II), and Ni(II) cubanes is very weak in all cases with J values of -0.82, -0.43, and -0.09 cm(-1) for the Mn, Fe, and Co species, respectively. A two-J model gave the best agreement with the susceptibility and high-field magnetization data for the Ni(II) case, over the whole temperature range studied, and the sign of the parameters, J12 = -0.3 cm(-1) and J13 = +2.97 cm(-1), correlated with the two Ni-(mu3-O)-Ni angles observed in the cluster structure. All members of the 3d-block [M4(cit)4]8- family have spin ground states, ST, of zero, with the higher ST levels just a few reciprocal centimeters away in energy.  相似文献

Treatment of [M(II)(en)(3)][OTs](2) or methanolic ethylenediamine solutions containing transition metal p-toluenesulfonates (M(II) = Mn, Co) with aqueous K(4)M(IV)(CN)(8).2H(2)O or Cs(3)M(V)(CN)(8) (M(IV) = Mo, W; M(V) = Mo) affords crystalline clusters of [M(II)(en)(3)][cis-M(II)(en)(2)(OH(2))(mu-NC)M(IV)(CN)(7)].2H(2)O (M(IV) = Mo; M(II) = Mn, 1; Ni, 5; M(IV) = W; M(II) = Mn, 2; Ni, 6) and [cis-M(II)(en)(2)(OH(2))](2)[(mu-NC)(2)M(IV)(CN)(6)].4H(2)O (M(IV) = Mo; M(II) = Co, 3; Ni, 7; M(IV) = W; M(II) = Co, 4) stoichiometry. Each cluster contains cis-M(II)(en)(2)(OH(2))(mu-NC)(2+) units that likely result from dissociative loss of en from [M(II)(en)(3)](2+), affording cis-M(II)(en)(2)(OH(2))(2)(2+) intermediates that are trapped by M(IV)(CN)(8)(4-).  相似文献

We present the synthesis, characterization of the structures, and magnetic properties of five isostructural dodecanuclear coordination clusters of Ni(II) and Co(II): [Co(12)(bm)(12)(NO(3))(O(2)CMe)(6)(EtOH)(6)](NO(3))(5) (1), [Ni(12)(bm)(12)(NO(3))(O(2)CMe)(6)(H(2)O)(3)(EtOH)(3)](NO(3))(5)·2H(2)O (2), mixed-metal composition (Ni/Co 1:1) [Co(6)Ni(6)(bm)(12)(NO(3))(O(2)CMe)(6)(NO(3))(5) (3), and [M(12)(bm)(12)(NO(3))(O(2)CMe)(6)(EtOH)(6)](ClO(4))(5) (M=Co (4), Ni (5)), in which Hbm=(1H-benzimidazol-2-yl)methanol. They consist of analogous structural cores that are constructed by three cubanes (M(4)O(4)) that surround the templating nitrate and bridging auxiliary acetate and the directing ligands bm. They have different magnetic behaviors. Whereas there is the absence of the out-of-phase ac susceptibility (χ') for the Ni(II)-based compounds 2 and 5, the Co(II)-containing compounds 1, 3, and 4 have prominent χ' signals that exhibit frequency dependence, which indicates slow magnetic relaxation behavior above 1.8 K. In particular, the larger perchlorate counterions in 4 further change the overall correlation interaction between clusters, thus leading to an enhanced blocking temperature for the less-symmetrical 4 (pseudo-C(3)) relative to 1 and 3 (true C(3)). Interestingly, electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) indicates that the three dodecanuclear clusters of 1-3 retain their compositions in solution. The mixed-metal cluster cores of 3 are formed based on the nature of the interchangeability between metal centers in solution.  相似文献

Three novel cyanide-bridged heterobimetallic coordination polymers have been synthesized by hydrothermal routes, in superheated water solutions, by using K3[Co(CN)6], NiCl2.6H2O, and alpha-diimine ligands: [Ni(CN)4Co(phen)] (1; phen = 1,10-phenanthroline), [Ni(CN)4Co(2,2'-bipy)] (2; 2,2'-bipy = 2,2'-bipyiridine), and [Ni(CN)4Co(2,2'-bipy)2] (3). The isostructural compounds 1 and 2 contain a two-dimensional network with Co(II) centers octahedrally coordinated by one chelating 2,2'-bipy ligand and four cyanide groups of four distinct [Ni(CN)4]2-, through crystallographically equivalent, bridging units. Compound 3 contains one-dimensional zigzag chains in which the Co(II) ion is coordinated by two chelating 2,2'-bipy ligands and two cyanides from two different [Ni(CN)4]2- units cis to each other. These compounds have been fully characterized by single-crystal or unconventional powder X-ray diffraction analyses and variable-temperature magnetic measurements.  相似文献

The hexadentate, pendant arm macrocycle 1,4,7-tris(4-tert-butyl-2-mercaptobenzyl)-1,4,7-triazacyclononane (H(3)L) has been synthesized and isolated as its trihydrochloride, H(3)L.3HCl, or sodium salt, Na(3)L, and its coordination chemistry with first-row transition metals has been studied. Mononuclear complexes of the type [LM(III)] (M = Ga (1), In (2), V (3), Cr (4), Mn (5), Fe,Co (6)) have been isolated as have the one-electron-oxidized forms [LM]PF(6) (M = V(IV) (3a), Mn(IV) (5a)). The crystal structure of 6 has been determined by single-crystal X-ray crystallography. Complex 6 crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Iba2, with cell constants a = 14.206(8) ?, b = 22.53(1) ?, c = 26.07(1) ?, V = 8344.0(3) ?(3), and Z = 8. The cobalt(III) ion is in a distorted octahedral fac-N(3)S(3) donor set. The reaction of L with divalent metal chlorides in a 1:2 ratio in methanol affords the homodinuclear complexes [LM(II)(2)Cl] (M = Mn (7), Co (8), Ni (9), Zn (10), Cd (11)) where one metal is six- (N(3)MS(3)) and the other is four-coordinate (S(3)MCl); the two polyhedra are linked by three &mgr;(2)-thiolato bridges. Heterodinuclear complexes of the type [LM(1)M(2)Cl] have been obtained from [LM(2)Cl] species by abstraction of the four-coordinate metal ion and replacement by a different metal ion. The complexes [LZn(II)M(II)Cl] (M = Fe (12), Co (13), Ni (14)), [LNi(II)M(II)Cl] (M = Co (15), Zn (16)), and [LMn(II)M(II)Cl] (M = Fe (17), Co (18), Ni (19), Zn (20), Cd (21), Hg (22)) have been isolated as solid materials. The crystal structure of 14 has been determined by X-ray crystallography. Complex 14 crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group P2(1)2(1)2(1), with cell constants a = 15.45(1) ?, b = 17.77(1) ?, c = 17.58(1) ?, V = 4826.5(4) ?(3), and Z = 4. The linkage isomers 14 and 16 show characteristic electronic spectra for octahedrally and tetrahedrally coordinated Ni(II), respectively. The electronic structures of new complexes have been investigated by UV-vis spectroscopy; their magnetochemistry and electrochemistry are reported.  相似文献

Three new open-framework transition-metal borophosphates Na5(H3O){M(II)3[B3O3(OH)]3(PO4)6}.2H2O (M(II) = Mn, Co, Ni) (denoted as MBPO-CJ25) have been synthesized under mild hydrothermal conditions. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses reveal that the three compounds possess isostructural three-dimensional (3D) open frameworks with one-dimensional 12-ring channels along the [001] direction. Notably, the structure can also be viewed as composed of metal phosphate layers [M(II)(PO4)2]4- with Kagomé topology, which are further connected by [B3O7(OH)] triborates, giving rise to a 3D open framework. The guest water molecules locate in the 12-ring channels. Partial Na+ ions reside in the 10-ring side pockets within the wall of the 12-ring channels, and the other Na+ ions and protonated water molecules locate in the 6-ring windows delimited by MO6 and PO4 polyhedra to compensate for the negative charges of the anionic framework. These compounds show a high thermal stability and are stable upon calcinations at ca. 500 degrees C. Ionic conductivities, due to the motion of Na+ ions, are measured for these three compounds. They have similar activation energies of 1.13-1.25 eV and conductivities of 2.7 x 10(-7)-9.9 x 10(-7) S cm(-1) at 300 degrees C. Magnetic measurements reveal that there are very weak antiferromagnetic interactions among the metal centers of the three compounds. Crystal data: MnBPO-CJ25, hexagonal, P6(3)/m (No. 176), a = 11.9683(5) A, c = 12.1303(6) A, and Z = 2; CoBPO-CJ25, hexagonal, P6(3)/m (No. 176), a = 11.7691(15) A, c = 12.112(2) A, and Z = 2; NiBPO-CJ25, hexagonal, P6(3)/m (No. 176), a = 11.7171(5) A, c = 12.0759(7) A, and Z = 2.  相似文献

New Keggin-type cobalt(II)/nickel(II)-centered heteropolymolybdates, (C3H5N2)6[Co(II)Mo12O40]10H2O (1) and (NH4)3(C4H5N2O2)3[Ni(II)Mo12O40] (2), were isolated and characterized by IR, UV-vis, single-crystal X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric, magnetic, as well as electrochemical analyses. The polyanion in the two compounds displays the well-known alpha-Keggin structure, which is composed of four Mo3O13 units formed by edge-sharing octahedra. Four Mo3O13 units connect each other by vertices, and the Co(2+) or Ni(2+) is located in the center. Magnetic measurements show that the central Co(2+) and Ni(2+) are in high spin states (with S = 3/2 and S = 1, respectively) exhibiting paramagnetic behaviors. Cyclic voltammetric experiments for 1 represent a quasi-reversible one-electron redox Co(3+)/Co(2+) couple and two four-electron reversible redox processes ascribed to Mo centers, while 2 only shows two four-electron redox processes attributed to Mo centers in pH = 0.5 H2SO4 solution.  相似文献

Isolation of the free bicyclic tetraamine, [3(5)]adamanzane.H(2)O (1,5,9,13-tetraazabicyclo[7.7.3]nonadecane.H(2)O), is reported along with the synthesis and characterization of a copper(II) complex of the smaller macrocycle [(2.3)(2).2(1)]adamanzane (1,5,9,12-tetraazabicyclo[7.5.2]hexadecane) and of three cobalt(II), four nickel(II), one copper(II), and two zinc(II) complexes with [3(5)]adamanzane. For nine of these compounds (2-8, 10b, and 12) the single-crystal X-ray structures were determined. The coordination geometry around the metal ion is square pyramidal in [Cu([(2.3)(2).2(1)]adz)Br]ClO(4) (2) and trigonal bipyramidal in the isostructural structures [Cu([3(5)]adz)Br]Br (3), [Ni([3(5)]adz)Cl]Cl (5), [Ni([3(5)]adz)Br]Br (6), and [Co([3(5)]adz)Cl]Cl (8). In [Ni([3(5)]adz)(NO(3))]NO(3) (4) and [Ni([3(5)]adz)(ClO(4))]ClO(4) (7) the coordination geometry around nickel(II) is a distorted octahedron with the inorganic ligands at cis positions. The coordination polyhedron around the metal ion in [Co([3(5)]adz)][ZnCl(4)] (10b) and [Zn([3(5)]adz)][ZnCl(4)] (12) is a slightly distorted tetrahedron. Anation equilibrium constants were determined spectrophotometrically for complexes 2-6 at 25 and 40 degrees C and fall in the region 2-10 M(-1) for the halide complexes and 30-65 M(-1) for the nickel(II) nitrate complex (4). Rate constants for the dissociation of the macrocyclic ligand from the metal ions in 5 M HCl were determined for complexes 2, 3, 5, 8, 10, and 12. The reaction rates vary from half-lives at 40 degrees C of 14 min for the dissociation of the Zn([3(5)]adz)(2+) complex (12) to 14-15 months for the Ni([3(5)]adz)Cl(+) ion (5).  相似文献

Reaction of the metal acetates M(OAc)2xH2O with di-tert-butyl phosphate (dtbp-H) (3) in a 4:6 molar ratio in methanol or tetrahydrofuran followed by slow evaporation of the solvent results in the formation of metal phosphate clusters [M4(mu 4-O)(dtbp)6] (M = Co (4, blue); Zn (5, colorless)) in nearly quantitative yields. The same reaction, when carried out in the presence of a donor auxiliary ligand such as imidazole (imz) and ethylenediamine (en), results in the formation of octahedral complexes [M(dtbp)2(imz)4] (M = Co (6); Ni (7); Zn (8)) and [Co(dtbp)2-(en)2] (9). The tetrameric clusters 4 and 5 could also be converted into mononuclear 6 and 8; respectively, by treating them with a large excess of imidazole. The use of slightly bulkier auxiliary ligand 3,5-dimethylpyrazole (3,5-dmp) in the reaction between cobalt acetate and 3 results in the isolation of mononuclear tetrahedral complex [Co(dtbp)2(3,5-dmp)2] (10) in nearly quantitative yields. Perfectly air- and moisture-stable samples of 4-10 were characterized with the aid of analytical, thermoanalytical, and spectroscopic techniques. The molecular structures of the monomeric pale-pink compound 6, colorless 8, and deep-blue 10 were further established by single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies. Crystal data for 6: C28H52CoN8O8P2, a = 8.525(1) A, b = 9.331(3) A, c = 12.697(2) A, alpha = 86.40(2) degrees, beta = 88.12(3) degrees, gamma = 67.12(2) degrees, triclinic, P1, Z = 1. Crystal data for 8: C28H52N8O8P2Zn, a = 8.488(1) A, b = 9.333(1) A, c = 12.723(2) A, alpha = 86.55(1) degrees, beta = 88.04(1) degrees, gamma = 67.42(1) degrees, triclinic, P1, Z = 1. Crystal data for 10: C26H52CoN4O8P2, a = b = 18.114(1) A, c = 10.862(1) A, tetragonal, P4(1), Z = 4. The Co2+ ion in 6 is octahedrally coordinated by four imidazole nitrogens which occupy the equatorial positions and oxygens of two phosphate anions on the axial coordination sites. The zinc derivative 8 is isostructural to the cobalt derivative 6. The crystal structure of 10 reveals that the central cobalt atom is tetrahedrally coordinated by two phosphate and two 3,5-dmp ligands. In all structurally characterized monomeric compounds (6, 8, and 10), the dtbp ligand acts as a monodentate, terminal ligand with free P=O phosphoryl groups. Thermal studies indicate that heating the samples at 171 (for 4) or 93 degrees C (for 5) leads to the loss of twelve equivalents of isobutene gas yielding carbon-free [M4(mu 4-O)(O2P(OH)2)6], which undergoes further condensation by water elimination to yield a material of the composition Co4O19P6. This sample of 4 when heated above 500 degrees C contains the crystalline metaphosphate Co(PO3)2 along with amorphous pyrophosphate M2P2O7 in a 2:1 ratio. Similar heat treatment on samples 6-8 results in the exclusive formation of the respective metaphosphates Co(PO3)2, Ni(PO3)2, and Zn(PO3)2; the tetrahedral derivative 10 also cleanly converts into Co(PO3)2 on heating above 600 degrees C.  相似文献

Three novel isotypic borophosphates M(II)[BPO4(OH)2] (M(II) = Mn, Fe, Co) have been hydrothermally synthesized and structurally characterized. The isotypic compounds crystallize in the chiral space group P3(1)21 or P3(2)21. Their crystal structures are characterized by edge-sharing helical M(II)O6-octahedral chains wound around 3(1) or 3(2) screw axes (along [001]) interconnected by borophosphate single chains of alternating BO2(OH)2 and PO4 tetrahedra perpendicular to [001], resulting in three-dimensional framework structures. The helical M(II)O6-octahedral chains lead to low-dimensional magnetic properties.  相似文献

The synthesis, structures, and magnetic properties of four cyano-bridged M(II)Ru(III)2 compounds prepared from the paramagnetic Ru(III) building blocks, trans-[Ru(salen)(CN)2]- 1 [H2salen = N,N'-ethylenebis(salicylideneimine)] and trans-[Ru(acac)2(CN)2]- (Hacac = acetylacetone), are described. Compound 2, {Mn(CH3OH)4[Ru(salen)(CN)2]2}.6CH3OH.2H2O, is a trinuclear complex that exhibits antiferromagnetic coupling between Mn(II) and Ru(III) centers. Compound 3, {Mn(H2O)2[Ru(salen)(CN)2]2.H2O}n, has a 2-D sheetlike structure that exhibits antiferromagnetic coupling between Mn and Ru, leading to ferrimagnetic-like behavior. Compound 4, {Ni(cyclam)[Ru(acac)2(CN)2]2}.2CH3OH.2H2O (cyclam = 1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane), is a trinuclear complex that exhibits ferromagnetic coupling. Compound 5, {Co[Ru(acac)2(CN)2]2}n, has a 3-D diamond-like interpenetrating network that exhibits ferromagnetic ordering below 4.6 K. The density functional theory (DFT) method was used to calculate the molecular magnetic orbitals and the magnetic exchange interaction between Ru(III) and M(II) (Mn(II), Ni(II)) ions.  相似文献

In the case of Co(II), three phases were isolated, two of which incorporated sulfate: [Co(5)F(2)(dbdt)(4)(H(2)O)(6)]·2H(2)O (1·2H(2)O), [Co(4)(OH)(2)(SO(4))(bdt)(2)(H(2)O)(4)] (2) and [Co(3)(OH)(SO(4))(btt)(H(2)O)(4)]·3H(2)O (3·3H(2)O). The structures are three-dimensional and consist of cluster-based secondary building units: the pentanuclear {Co(5)F(2)(tetrazolate)(8)(H(2)O)(6)}, the tetranuclear {Co(4)(OH)(2)(SO(4))(2)(tetrazolate)(6)}(4-), and the trinuclear {Co(3)(μ(3)-OH)(SO(4))(2) (tetrazolate)(3)}(2-) for 1, 2, and 3, respectively. The Ni(II) analogue [Ni(2)(H(0.67)bdt)(3)]·10.5H(2)O (4·10.5H(2)O) is isomorphous with a fourth cobalt phase, the previously reported [Co(2)(H(0.67)bat)(3)]·20H(2)O and exhibits a {M(tetrazolate)(3/2)}(∞) chain as the fundamental building block. The dense three-dimensional structure of [Zn(bdt)] (5) consists of {ZnN(4)}tetrahedra linked through bdt ligands bonding through N1,N3 donors at either tetrazolate terminus. In contrast to the hydrothermal synthesis of 1-5, the Cd(II) material (Me(2)NH(2))(3)[Cd(12)Cl(3)(btt)(8)(DMF)(12)]·xDMF·yMeOH (DMF = dimethylformamide; x = ca. 12, y = ca. 5) was prepared in DMF/methanol. The structure is constructed from the linking of {Cd(4)Cl(tetrazolate)(8)(DMF)(4)}(1-) secondary building units to produce an open-framework material exhibiting 66.5% void volume. The magnetic properties of the Co(II) series are reflective of the structural building units.  相似文献

Complex formation of the two tetraamine ligands (2S,3S)-1,2,3,4-tetraaminobutane (threo-tetraaminobutane, ttab) and (2R,3S)-1,2,3,4-tetraaminobutane (erythro-tetraaminobutane, etab) with Co(III), Ni(II), Cu(II), and Pd(II) was investigated in aqueous solution and in the solid state. For Ni(II) and Cu(II), the pH-dependent formation of a variety of species [Mn(II)xLyHz](2x+z)+ was established by potentiometric titrations and UV/Vis spectroscopy. In sufficiently acidic solutions the divalent cations formed a mononuclear complex with the doubly protonated ligand of composition [M(H2L)]4+. An example of such a complex was characterized in the crystal structure of [Pd(H2ttab)Cl2]Cl2.H2O. If the metal cation was present in excess, increase of pH resulted in the formation of dinuclear complexes [M2L]4+. Such a species was found in the crystal structure of [Cu2(ttab)Br4].H2O. Excess ligand, on the other hand, lead to the formation of a series of mononuclear bis-complexes [Mq(HxL)(HyL)](q+x+y)+. The crystal structure of [Co(Hetab)2][ZnCl4]2Cl. H2O with the inert, trivalent Co(III) center served as a model to illustrate the structural features of this class of complexes. By using an approximately equimolar ratio of the ligand and the metal cation, a variety of polymeric aggregates both in dilute aqueous solution and in the solid state were observed. The crystal structure of Cu2(ttab)3Br4, which exhibits a two-dimensional, infinite network, and that of [Ni8(ttab)12]Br16.17.5H2O, which contains discrete chiral [Ni8(ttab)12]16+ cubes with approximate T symmetry, are representative examples of such polymers. The energy of different diastereomeric forms of such complexes with the two tetraamine ligands were analyzed by means of molecular mechanics calculations, and the implications of these calculations for the different structures are discussed.  相似文献

With the use of the tailored cyanometalate precursor, (Bu4N)[(Tp)Fe(CN)3] (Tp = Tris(pyrazolyl)hydroborate) as the building block to react with fully solvated Cu(II), Co(II), and Ni(II) cations, four one-dimensional (1D) heterobimetallic cyano-bridged chain complexes of squares, [(Tp)2Fe(III)2(CN)6Cu(CH3OH).2CH3OH]n (1), [(Tp)2Fe(III)2(CN)6Cu(DMF).DMF]n (2), [(Tp)2Fe(III)2(CN)6M(CH3OH)2.2CH3OH]n (M = Co (3) and Ni (4)), have been prepared. In complexes 1 and 2, the Cu(II) ions are pentacoordinated in the form of a slightly distorted square-based pyramid, and they are linked by distorted octahedrons of [(Tp)Fe(CN)3]- to form 1D chains of squares. In complexes 3 and 4, both the central Co(II) and Ni(II) ions have a slightly distorted octahedral coordination geometry, and they are bridged by [(Tp)Fe(CN)3]- to form similar 1D chains of squares. There are weak interchain pi-pi stacking interactions through the pyrazolyl groups of the Tp ligands for complexes 3 and 4. The crystal structures and magnetic studies demonstrate that complexes 1 and 2 exhibit intrachain ferromagnetic coupling and single-chain magnets behavior, and the blocking temperature is ca. 6 K for complex 1 and ca. 3 K for complex 2. Complexes 3 and 4 show significant metamagnetic behavior, where the cyanides mediate the intrachain ferromagnetic coupling between Fe(III) and Co(II) or Ni(II) ions and the interchain pi-pi stacking interactions lead to antiferromagnetic couplings. The field dependence of the magnetization measurements shows that the critical field is around 1 kOe for complex 3 and 0.8 kOe for complex 4 at 1.8 K.  相似文献
