The paper deals with the theoretical investigation of nonlinear surface polaritons (NSP) in isolated two-dimensional electron
system (2DES) arranged at the interface between linear and nonlinear media and placed into the external quantizing magnetic
field directed perpendicularly to 2DES. We consider that nonlinear medium dielectric permeability depends upon the tangential
component of electric field only. It is shown that under the integer quantum Hall effect conditions all NSP characteristics
are represented by the quantized values. It is found that the NSP spectrum contains two NSP modes - high-frequency and low-frequency
ones. It is shown that the NSP can exist only in the case where the value of tangential component of electric field at the
interface is less than a certain critical value. It is found that the resonant interaction between the NSP high-frequency
mode and surface polariton mode occurs in the vicinity of the cyclotron resonance subharmonic.

The class of nonlinear evolution equations (NLEE) - gauge equivalent to the N-wave equations related to the simple Lie algebra are derived and analyzed. They are written in terms of (x, t) ∈ satisfying r = rank nonlinear constraints. The corresponding Lax pairs and the time evolution of the scattering data are found. The Zakharov-Shabat
dressing method is appropriately modified to construct their soliton solutions.

We consider quasi-periodic and periodic (cnoidal) wave solutions of a set of n-component dynamical systems related to Korteweg-de Vries equation. Quasi-periodic wave solutions for these systems are expressed
in terms of Novikov polynomials. Periodic solutions in terms of Hermite polynomials and generalized Hermite polynomials for
dynamical systems related to Korteweg-de Vries equation are found.

The general shape equation describing the forms of vesicles is a highly nonlinear partial differential equation for which
only a few explicit solutions are known. These solvable cases are briefly reviewed and a new analytical solution which represents
the class of the constant mean curvature surfaces is described. Pearling states of the tubular fluid membranes can be explained
as a continuous deformation preserving membrane mean curvature.

We investigate the propagation and interaction of solitons associated with circularly polarized vibrations in gyrotropic media.
The chirality of the structure yields different dispersion laws and hence different phase and group velocities for the left-
and right-handed modes. The helical arrangement of the monomers is modelled through first- and third-neighbour interactions.
The dynamics of the excitations is governed by a system of coupled discrete nonlinear Schr?dinger equations which is studied
both analytically and numerically. Depending on the initial conditions and the interaction constants, different evolutionary
patterns are obtained corresponding to unbound or bound one- and two-soliton solutions. The results can be applied to the
process of energy transfer in helical polymers.

Soliton interactions in systems modelled by coupled nonlinear Schr?dinger (CNLS) equations and encountered in phenomena such
as wave propagation in optical fibers and photorefractive media possess unusual features: shape changing intensity redistributions,
amplitude dependent phase shifts and relative separation distances. We demonstrate these properties in the case of integrable
2-CNLS equations. As a simple example, we consider the stationary two-soliton solution which is equivalent to the so-called
partially coherent soliton (PCS) solution discussed much in the recent literature.

We argue that the integrable modified nonlinear Schr?dinger equation with the nonlinearity dispersion term is the true starting
point to analytically describe subpicosecond pulse dynamics in monomode fibers. Contrary to the known assertions, solitons
of this equation are free of self-steepening and the breather formation is possible.

The magnetic excitations in the antiferromagnetic phase of HoNi2B2C are studied by inelastic neutron scattering on single crystals for the first time. Spectra measured at constant T
= 2 K along symmetry directions of the reciprocal space are well explained in terms of crystal electric field (CEF) magnetic
excitons within the J
= 8 ground state multiplet of Ho3+. Very modest bandwidth with planar energy dispersion describes the magnetic exciton dynamics. A perturbative model approach
consisting of the CEF states in the effective exchange mean-field provides a simple but applicable characterization of the
experimental observations. The microscopic determination of the relevant exchange parameters is discussed in connection with
previous works on the subject.

We develop a new technique describing the non linear growth of interfaces. We apply this analytical approach to the one dimensional
Cahn-Hilliard equation. The dynamics is captured through a solvability condition performed over a particular family of quasi-static
solutions. The main result is that the dynamics along this particular class of solutions can be expressed in terms of a simple
ordinary differential equation. The density profile of the stationary regime found at the end of the non-linear growth is
also well characterized. Numerical simulations are compared in a satisfactory way with the analytical results through three
different fitting methods and asymptotic dynamics are well recovered, even far from the region where the approximations hold.

In this work we present a full selfconsistent set of nonlinear equations which unifies the nonlinear elasticity theory equations,
the Boltzmannn transport theory and the Maxwell equations for quasiparticles with arbitrary dispersion laws in nonstationarily
deformed crystals with arbitrary (but linear) constitutive relations. Transformations to replace the Galilean ones are obtained,
the quasiparticle mechanics in a Hamiltonian form is deduced, and a Boltzmann-type transport equation (valid in the whole
Brillouin zone) is derived. The theory may be applied to metals, semiconductors, quantum crystals, low-dimensional structures
etc.

Modulational instability of travelling plane waves is often considered as the first step in the formation of intrinsically
localized modes (discrete breathers) in anharmonic lattices. Here, we consider an alternative mechanism for breather formation,
originating in oscillatory instabilities of spatially periodic or quasiperiodic nonlinear standing waves (SWs). These SWs
are constructed for Klein-Gordon or Discrete Nonlinear Schr?dinger lattices as exact time periodic and time reversible multibreather
solutions from the limit of uncoupled oscillators, and merge into harmonic SWs in the small-amplitude limit. Approaching the
linear limit, all SWs with nontrivial wave vectors (0 < Q < π) become unstable through oscillatory instabilities, persisting for arbitrarily small amplitudes in infinite lattices.
The dynamics resulting from these instabilities is found to be qualitatively different for wave vectors smaller than or larger
than π/2, respectively. In one regime persisting breathers are found, while in the other regime the system thermalizes.

The recently proposed supersymmetric extensions of reduced Kadomtsev-Petviashvili (KP) integrable hierarchies in N = 1, 2 superspace are shown to contain in the purely bosonic limit new types of ordinary non-supersymmetric integrable systems.
The latter are coupled systems of several multi-component non-linear Schr?dinger-like hierarchies whose basic nonlinear evolution
equations contain additional quintic and higher-derivative nonlinear terms. Also, we obtain the N = 2 supersymmetric extension of Toda chain model as Darboux-B?cklund orbit of the simplest reduced N = 2 super-KP hierarchy and find its explicit solution.

The nonlinear coupling between light beams and non-resonant ion density perturbations in a plasma is considered, taking into
account the relativistic particle mass increase and the light beam ponderomotive force. A pair of equations comprising a nonlinear
Schr?dinger equation for light beams and a driven (by the light beam pressure) ion-acoustic wave response is derived. It is
shown that the stationary solutions of our nonlinear equations can be represented in the form of a bright and dark/gray soliton
for the one-dimensional problem. We also present numerical results which exhibit that our bright soliton solutions are stable
exclusively for the values of the parameters compatible with our theory.

The equation of motion of twists on classical antiferromagnetic Heisenberg spin chains are derived. It is shown that twists
interact via position- and velocity-dependent long-range two-body forces. A quiescent regime is identified wherein the system conserves
momentum. With increasing kinetic energy the system exits this regime and momentum conservation is violated due to walls annihilation.
A bitwist system is shown to be integrable and its exact solution is analysed. Many-twist systems are discussed and novel
periodic twist lattice solutions are found on closed chains. The stability of these solutions is discussed.

Schlesinger transformations are considered as special cases of elementary Darboux transformations of an aaabstract Zakharov-Shabat
operator analog and its conjugate in differential rings and modules. The respective x- and t-chains of the transformations for potentials are constructed. Transformations that are combinations of the elementary ones
for the special choice of direct and conjugate problems (named as binary ones) are applied within some constraints setting
(reductions) for solutions. The geometric structures: Darboux surfaces, Bianchi-Lie formula for (nonabelian) rings are specified.
The applications in spectral operator and soliton theories are outlined.
