Two new isostructural cobalt selenite halides Co5(SeO3)4Cl2 and Co5(SeO3)4Br2 have been synthesized. They crystallize in the triclinic system space group P−1 with the following lattice parameters for Co5(SeO3)4Cl2: a=6.4935(8) Å, b=7.7288(8) Å, c=7.7443(10) Å, α=66.051(11)°, β=73.610(11)°, γ=81.268(9)°, and Z=1. The crystal structures were solved from single-crystal X-ray data, R1=3.73 and 4.03 for Co5(SeO3)4Cl2 and Co5(SeO3)4Br2, respectively. The new compounds are isostructural to Ni5(SeO3)4Br2.Magnetic susceptibility measurements on oriented single-crystalline samples show anisotropic response in a broad temperature range. The anisotropic susceptibility is quantitatively interpreted within the zero-field splitting schemes for Co2+ and Ni2+ ions. Sharp low-temperature susceptibility features, at TN=18 and 20 K for Co5(SeO3)4Cl2 and Co5(SeO3)4Br2, respectively, are ascribed to antiferromagnetic ordering in a minority magnetic subsystem. In isostructural Ni5(SeO3)4Br2 magnetically ordered subsystem represents a majority fraction (TN=46 K). Nevertheless, anisotropic susceptibility of Ni5(SeO3)4Br2 is dominated at low temperatures by a minority fraction, subject to single-ion anisotropy effects and increasing population of Sz=0 (singlet) ground state of octahedrally coordinated Ni2+.  相似文献

Two uranyl tellurates, AgUO2(HTeO5) (1) and Pb2UO2(TeO6) (2), were synthesized under hydrothermal conditions and were structurally, chemically, and spectroscopically characterized. 1 crystallizes in space group Pbca, a=7.085(2) Å, b=11.986(3) Å, c=13.913(4) Å, V=1181.5(5) Å3, Z=8; 2 is in P2(1)/c, a=5.742(1) Å, b=7.789(2) Å, c=7.928(2) Å, V=90.703(2) Å3, and Z=2. These are the first structures reported for uranyl compounds containing tellurate. The U6+ cations are present as (UO2)2+ uranyl ions that are coordinated by O atoms to give pentagonal and square bipyramids in compounds 1 and 2, respectively. The structural unit in 1 is a sheet consisting of chains of edge-sharing uranyl pentagonal bipyramids that are one bipyramid wide, linked through the dimers of TeO6 octahedra. In 2, uranyl square bipyramids share each of their equatorial vertices with different TeO6 octahedra, giving a sheet with the autunite-type topology. Sheets in 1 and 2 are connected through the low-valence cations that are located in the interlayer region. The structures of 1 and 2 are compared to those of uranyl compounds containing octahedrally coordinated cations.  相似文献

Single crystals of the strontium copper tellurium oxochloride SrCu2(TeO3)2Cl2 were synthesized via solid-gas reactions in sealed evacuated silica tubes. The compound crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group P21, a=7.215(2), b=7.2759(15), c=8.239(2) Å, β=96.56(4)°, Z=2. The building units are [SrO6Cl2] irregular polyhedra, [CuO4] and [CuO3Cl] square planes, [TeO3E] tetrahedra and [TeO3+1E] trigonal bipyramids; E being the 5s2 lone pair of Te(IV). The Cu atoms can be regarded as forming a chain of weakly connected dimers. The magnetic susceptibility of the compound shows a broad maximum typical for antiferromagnetic spin fluctuations with a non-magnetic ground state. A Heisenberg spin model with coupled s=1/2 dimers leads to a satisfactory fitting of the experimental data.  相似文献

Application of high-pressure high-temperature conditions (3.5 GPa at 1673 K for 5 h) to mixtures of the elements (RE:B:S=1:3:6) yielded crystalline samples of the isotypic rare earth-thioborate-sulfides RE9[BS3]2[BS4]3S3, (RE=Dy-Lu), which crystallize in space group P63 (Z=2/3) and adopt the Ce6Al3.33S14 structure type. The crystal structures were refined from X-ray powder diffraction data by applying the Rietveld method. Dy: a=9.4044(2) Å, c=5.8855(3) Å; Ho: a=9.3703(1) Å, c=5.8826(1) Å; Er: a=9.3279(12) Å, c=5.8793(8) Å; Tm: a=9.2869(3) Å, c=5.8781(3) Å; Yb: a=9.2514(5) Å, c=5.8805(6) Å; Lu: a=9.2162(3) Å, c=5.8911(3) Å. The crystal structure is characterized by the presence of two isolated complex ions [BS3]3- and [BS4]5- as well as [□(S2-)3] units.  相似文献

The new compound Co3Te2O2(PO4)2(OH)4 was synthesized using hydrothermal techniques. It crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/m with the unit cell a=19.4317(10) Å, b=6.0249(3) Å, c=4.7788(2) Å, β=103.139(5)°. The crystal structure is an open framework having chains of edge sharing [Co(1)O6] octahedra. Other building blocks are [TeO3(OH)2], [PO4] and [Co(2)O2(OH)4] connected mainly via corner sharing. The –OH groups protrude into channels in the structure. The magnetic susceptibility measured from 2 to 300 K shows two broad anomalies at around 21 K and 4 K, respectively. The peak at ∼20 K is ascribed to a two-dimensional antiferromagnetic ordering of linear [Co(1)O6] chains coupled by interchain interaction via [PO4] groups in the Co(1) sheets. The second transition at 4 K is ascribed to a second antiferromagnetic ordering of the moments of the Co(2) entities via super–super exchange involving [PO4] and [TeO3(OH)2] groups. This assignment is strongly supported by low-temperature heat capacity measurements indicating an entropy removal within the high-temperature transition of about twice the magnitude of the low-temperature transition.  相似文献

Single crystals of the title compounds were prepared by solid state reactions from barium carbonate and ruthenium metal using a BaBr2 flux and investigated by X-ray diffraction method using Mo(Kα) radiation and a Charge Coupled Device (CCD) detector. A structural model for the term n=2, Ba5Ru2Br2O9 (1) was established in the hexagonal symmetry, space group P63/mmc, a=5.8344(2) Å, c=25.637(2) Å, Z=2. Combined refinement and maximum-entropy method (MEM) unambiguously show the presence of CO32− ions in the three other compounds (2, 3, 4). Their crystal structures were solved and refined in the trigonal symmetry, space group , a=5.8381(1) Å, c=15.3083(6) Å for the term n=3, Ba6Ru3Br1.54(CO3)0.23O12 (2), and space group , a=5.7992(1) Å, c=52.866(2) Å and a=5.7900(1) Å, c=59.819(2) Å for the terms n=4, Ba7Ru4Br1.46(CO3)0.27O15 (3), and n=5, Ba8Ru5Br1.64(CO3)0.18O18 (4), respectively. The structures are formed by the periodic stacking along [0 0 1] of (n+1) hexagonal close-packed [BaO3] layers separated by a double layer of composition [Ba2Br2−2x(CO3)x]. The ruthenium atoms occupy the n octahedral interstices created in the hexagonal perovskite slabs and constitute isolated dimers Ru2O9 of face-shared octahedra (FSO) in 1 and isolated trimers Ru3O12 of FSO in 2. In 3 and 4, the Ru2O9 units are connected by corners either directly (3) or through a slab of isolated RuO6 octahedra (4) to form a bidimensional arrangement of RuO6 octahedra. These four oxybromocarbonates belong to the family of compounds formulated [Ba2Br2−2x(CO3)x][Ban+1RunO3n+3] where n represents the thickness of the octahedral string in hexagonal perovskite slabs. These compounds are compared to the oxychloride series.  相似文献

We report the synthesis, crystal structure determination, magnetic and low-temperature structural properties of a new cobalt antimony oxo-bromide. CoSb2O3Br2 crystallizes in the triclinic crystal system, space group P−1, with the following lattice parameters: a=5.306(3) Å, b=7.812(4) Å, c=8.0626(10) Å, α=88.54(3)°, β=82.17(3)°, γ=80.32(4)°, and Z=2. The crystal structure was solved from single crystal X-ray data and refined on F2, R1=3.08. The structure consists of layers made up by three building blocks, [CoO4Br2], [SbO3Br], and [SbO3] that are connected via edge- and corner-sharing so that structural Co-Co dimers are formed. The layers have no net charge and are only weakly connected by van der Waals forces to adjacent layers. Above ∼25 K the magnetic susceptibility is independent of the magnetic field and can be very well described by a Curie-Weiss law. Below 25 K the susceptibility passes through a maximum and decreases again that is typical for the onset of long-range antiferromagnetic correlations. Long-range antiferromagnetic ordering is observed below TN∼9 K indicating substantial inter-dimer exchange coupling between Co-Co dimers within the layers. However, according to the heat capacity results only a minute fraction of the entropy is associated with the long-range ordering transition. The phonon anomalies observed for T<6 K in Raman scattering and an anomaly in the specific heat point to a structural instability leading to a loss of inversion symmetry at lowest temperatures.  相似文献

A new iron phosphate (NH4)4Fe3(OH)2F2[H3(PO4)4] has been synthesized hydrothermally at HF concentrations from 0.5 to 1.2 mL. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis reveals its three-dimensional open-framework structure (monoclinic, space group P21/n (No. 14), a=6.2614(13) Å, b=9.844(2) Å, c=14.271(3) Å, β=92.11(1)°, V=879.0(3) Å3). This structure is built from isolated linear trimers of corner-sharing Fe(III) octahedra, which are linked by (PO4) groups to form ten-membered-ring channels along [1 0 0]. This isolated, linear trimer of corner-sharing Fe(III) octahedra, [(FeO4)3(OH)2F2], is new and adds to the diverse linkages of Fe polyhedra as secondary building units in iron phosphates. The trivalent iron at octahedral sites for the title compound has been confirmed by synchrotron Fe K-edge XANES spectra and magnetic measurements. Magnetic measurements also show that this compound exhibit a strong antiferromagnetic exchange below TN=17 K, consistent with superexchange interactions expected for the linear trimer of ferric octahedra with the Fe-F-Fe angle of 132.5°.  相似文献

Three new tellurites, LaTeNbO6 and La4Te6M2O23 (M=Nb or Ta) have been synthesized, as bulk phase powders and crystals, by using La2O3, Nb2O5 (or Ta2O5), and TeO2 as reagents. The structures of LaTeNbO6 and La4Te6Ta2O23 were determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. LaTeNbO6 consists of one-dimensional corner-linked chains of NbO6 octahedra that are connected by TeO3 polyhedra. La4Te6M2O23 (M=Nb or Ta) is composed of corner-linked chains of MO6 octahedra that are also connected by TeO4 and two TeO3 polyhedra. In all of the reported materials, Te4+ is in an asymmetric coordination environment attributable to its stereo-active lone-pair. Infrared, thermogravimetric, and dielectric analyses are also presented. Crystallographic information: LaTeNbO6, triclinic, space group P−1, a=6.7842(6) Å, b=7.4473(6) Å, c=10.7519(9) Å, α=79.6490(10)°, β=76.920(2)°, γ=89.923(2)°, Z=4; La4Te6Ta2O23, monoclinic, space group C2/c, a=23.4676(17) Å, b=12.1291(9) Å, c=7.6416(6) Å, β=101.2580(10)°, Z=4.  相似文献

Single crystals of Ca3CuRhO6, Ca3Co1.34Rh0.66O6 and Ca3FeRhO6 were synthesized by high temperature flux growth in molten K2CO3 and structurally characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction. While Ca3Co1.34Rh0.66O6 and Ca3FeRhO6 crystallize with trigonal (rhombohedral) symmetry in the space group , Z=6: Ca3Co1.34Rh0.66O6a=9.161(1) Å, c=10.601(2) Å; Ca3FeRhO6a=9.1884(3) Å, c=10.7750(4) Å; Ca3CuRhO6 adopts a monoclinic distortion of the K4CdCl6 structure in the space group C2/c, Z=4: a=9.004(2) Å, b=9.218(2) Å, c=6.453(1) Å, β=91.672(5). All crystals of Ca3CuRhO6 examined were twinned by pseudo-merohedry. Ca3CuRhO6, Ca3Co1.34Rh0.66O6, and Ca3FeRhO6 are structurally related and contain infinite one-dimensional chains of alternating face-sharing RhO6 octahedra and MO6 trigonal prisms. In the monoclinic modification, the copper atoms are displaced from the center of the trigonal prism toward one of the rectangular faces adopting a pseudo-square planar configuration. The magnetic properties of Ca3CuRhO6, Ca3Co1.34Rh0.66O6, and Ca3FeRhO6 are discussed.  相似文献

Single crystals of the title compounds were prepared using a BaCl2 flux and investigated by X-ray diffraction methods using MoKα radiation and a charge coupled device (CCD) detector. The crystal structures of these two new compounds were solved and refined in the hexagonal symmetry with space group P63/mmc, a=5.851(1) Å, c=25.009(5) Å, ρcal=4.94 g cm−3, Z=2 to a final R1=0.069 for 20 parameters with 312 reflections for Ba5Ru2Cl2O9 and space group , a=5.815(1) Å, c=14.915(3) Å, ρcal=5.28 g cm−3, Z=1 to a final R1=0.039 for 24 parameters with 300 reflections for Ba6Ru3Cl2O12. The structure of Ba5Ru2Cl2O9 is formed by the periodic stacking along [001] of three hexagonal close-packed BaO3 layers separated by a double layer of composition Ba2Cl2. The BaO3 stacking creates binuclear face-sharing octahedra units Ru2O9 containing Ru(V). The structure of Ba6Ru3Cl2O12 is built up by the periodic stacking along [001] of four hexagonal close-packed BaO3 layers separated by a double layer of composition Ba2Cl2. The ruthenium ions with a mean oxidation degree +4.67 occupy the octahedral interstices formed by the four layers hexagonal perovskite slab and then constitute isolated trinuclear Ru3O12 units. These two new oxychlorides belong to the family of compounds formulated as [Ba2Cl2][Ban+1RunO3n+3], where n represents the thickness of the octahedral string in hexagonal perovskite slabs.  相似文献

Two new tellurites, NH4RbTe4O9·2H2O and NH4CsTe4O9·2H2O have been synthesized and characterized. The compounds were synthesized hydrothermally, in near quantitative yields, using the alkali metal halide, TeO2, and NH4OH as reagents. The iso-structural materials exhibit layered, two-dimensional structural topologies consisting of TeOx (x=3, 4, or 5) polyhedra separated by NH4+, H2O, Rb+ or Cs+ cations. Unique to these materials is the presence of TeO3, TeO4, and TeO5 polyhedra. Thermogravimetric and infrared spectroscopic data are also presented. Crystal data: NH4RbTe4O9·2H2O: Monoclinic I2/a (no. 15), a=18.917(3) Å, b=6.7002(11) Å, c=21.106(5) Å, β=101.813(2)°, V=2618.5(9) Å3, Z=8; NH4CsTe4O9·2H2O: Monoclinic I2/a (no. 15), a=18.9880(12) Å, b=6.7633(4) Å, c=21.476(2) Å, β=102.3460(10)°, V=2694.2(3) Å3, Z=8.  相似文献

The high-temperature polymorphs of two photocatalytic materials, BiNbO4 and BiTaO4 were synthesized by the ceramic method. The crystal structures of these materials were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. BiNbO4 and BiTaO4 crystallize into the triclinic system P1¯ (No. 2), with a=5.5376(4) Å, b=7.6184(3) Å, c=7.9324(36) Å, α=102.565(3)°, β=90.143(2)°, γ=92.788 (4)°, V=326.21 (5) Å3, Z=4 and a=5.931 (1) Å, b=7.672 (2) Å, c=7.786 (2) Å, α=102.94 (3)°, β=90.04 (3)° γ=93.53 (3)°, V=344.59 (1) Å3 and Z=4, respectively. The structures along the c-axis, consist of layers of [Bi2O2] units separated by puckered sheets of (Nb/Ta)O6 octahedra. Photocatalytic studies on the degradation of dyes indicate selectivity of BiNbO4 towards aromatics containing quinonic and azo functional groups.  相似文献

Sr3In0.9Co1.1O6, isostructural to Ca3Co2O6, is revealed by the study of the phase relations in the system SrO-InO1.5-CoOx (1000 °C). The structure of Sr3In0.9Co1.1O6 is refined by the combination of powder X-ray and neutron diffraction. Sr3In0.9Co1.1O6 crystallizes in a trigonal lattice with the cell parameters a=b=9.59438(3) Å, c=11.02172(4) Å with the space group R-3c. Its structure possesses 1D (In/Co)O3 chains running along the c-axis constructed by alternating face-sharing CoO6 octahedra and (In0.9Co0.1)O6 trigonal prisms. The co-occupation of In3+ and Co3+ at the trigonal prismatic site is evidenced by elementary analysis and determined by the structure refinement. Sr3In0.9Co1.1O6 is paramagnetic, and the susceptibility is consistent with the occupation of Co3+ at 10% of the trigonal prismatic positions in a high spin state (HS, S=2). The HS Co3+ is well separated by diamagnetic CoO6 octahedra and InO6 trigonal prisms and shows a g factor of 2.0 in the magnetic measurements.  相似文献

The polymeric compounds consisting of the man-made element, americium, and gold and silver dicyanides were prepared under mild hydrothermal conditions at 120 °C. It was found that the americium ion and the transition metal ions are interconnected through cyanide bridging in the compounds. Given the similarities in the radii of americium and neodymium, crystals of the latter were also characterized for comparison purposes. The four compounds are isostructural and crystallize in the hexagonal space group, P63/mcm, with only slight differences in their unit cell parameters. Crystallographic data (MoKα, λ=0.71073 Å): Am[Ag(CN)2]3·3H2O (1), a=6.7205(10) Å, c=18.577(3) Å, V=726.64(19), Z=2; Am[Au(CN)2]3·3H2O (2),a=6.666(2) Å, c=18.342(3) Å, V=705.9(4), Z=2; Nd[Ag(CN)2]3·3H2O (3), a=6.7042(4) Å, c=18.6199(14) Å, V=724.77(8), Z=2; and Nd[Au(CN)2]3·3H2O (4), a=6.6573(13) Å, c=18.431(4) Å, V=707.2(2), Z=2. The coordination around the Am and/or Nd consists of six N-bound CN groups resulting in a trigonal prismatic arrangement. Three capping oxygen atoms of coordinated water molecules complete the tricapped trigonal prismatic coordination environment, providing a total coordination number of nine for the f-elements. Raman spectroscopy, which compliments the structural analyses, reveals that the four compounds display strong signals in the νCN stretching region. When compared with KAg(CN)2 or KAu(CN)2, the νCN stretching frequencies for these compounds blue-shift due to bridging of the dicyanometallate ions with the f-element ions. There is subsequent reduction in electron density at the cyanide center. Compared with the silver systems, the νCN frequency appears at higher energy in the gold dicyanide complexes. This shift is consistent with the structural data where the carbon-nitrogen bond distance is found to be shorter in the gold dicyanides.  相似文献

Two isotypic layered rare-earth borate phosphates, K3Ln[OB(OH)2]2[HOPO3]2 (Ln=Yb, Lu), were synthesized hydrothermally and the crystal structures were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction (R3?, Z=3, Yb: a=5.6809(2) Å, c=36.594(5) Å, V=1022.8(2) Å3, Lu: a=5.6668(2) Å, c=36.692(2) Å, V=1020.4(1) Å3). The crystal structure can be described in terms of stacking of Glaserite-type slabs consisting of LnO6 octahedra interlinked by phosphate tetrahedra and additional layers of [OB(OH)2]- separated by K+ ions. Field and temperature dependent measurements of the magnetic susceptibility of the Yb-compound revealed Curie-Weiss paramagnetic behavior above 120 K (μeff=4.7 μB). Magnetic ordering was not observed down to 1.8 K.  相似文献

A hydrothermal reaction of WO3, CoCl2 and 4,4′-bipyridine, yields a novel organic-inorganic hybrid compound, Co2(bpy)6(W6O19)2, at 170°C. X-ray single crystal structure determination reveals a two-dimensional covalent structure belonging to monoclinic crystal system, space group C2/c, with cell parameters a=19.971(4) Å, b=11.523(2) Å, c=16.138(3) Å, β=96.49(3)°, V=3690.0 Å3 and Z=2. The hexatungstate, [W6O19]2−, acts as a building block in bidentate fashion to bridge the Co(II) centers in the crystal structure. The title compound is found to have an optical energy gap of 2.2 eV from UV-Vis-NIR reflectance spectra.  相似文献

The first charge transfer salt based on non- dimerized [BEDO-TTF]+ monocationic radical (BEDO-TTF=bis(ethylenedioxy)tetrathiafulvalene) associated with [Mo6Br14]2− cluster anions has been synthesized by conventional electro-oxidation and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction, UV-VIS-NIR absorption and magnetic susceptibility measurements. (BEDO-TTF)2Mo6Br14(PhCN)4 crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group P21/n, a=10.414(4) Å, b=21.711(7) Å, c=15.958(5) Å, β=93.65(3)°, V=3601(2) Å3, Z=2, R1=0.0578, wR2=0.0731. The structure of this hybrid compound is built up from a [BEDO-TTF]+ and PhCN (benzonitrile) organic framework in which are hosted the [Mo6Br14]2− inorganic cluster units. It results in non- dimerized [BEDO-TTF]+ cations that exhibit a paramagnetic behavior characteristic of one unpaired electron.  相似文献

The Co2−xCux(OH)AsO4 (x=0 and 0.3) compounds have been synthesized under mild hydrothermal conditions and characterized by X-ray single-crystal diffraction and spectroscopic data. The hydroxi-arsenate phases crystallize in the Pnnm orthorhombic space group with Z=4 and the unit-cell parameters are a=8.277(2) Å, b=8.559(2) Å, c=6.039(1) Å and a=8.316(1) Å, b=8.523(2) Å, c=6.047(1) Å for x=0 and 0.3, respectively. The crystal structure consists of a three-dimensional framework in which M(1)O5-trigonal bipyramid dimers and M(2)O6-octahedral chains (M=Co and Cu) are present. Co2(OH)AsO4 shows an anomalous three-dimensional antiferromagnetic ordering influenced by the magnetic field below 21 K within the presence of a ferromagnetic component below the ordering temperature. When Co2+ is partially substituted by Cu2+ions, Co1.7Cu0.3(OH)AsO4, the ferromagnetic component observed in Co2(OH)AsO4 disappears and the antiferromagnetic order is maintained in the entire temperature range. Heat capacity measurements show an unusual magnetic field dependence of the antiferromagnetic transitions. This λ-type anomaly associated to the three-dimensional antiferromagnetic ordering grows with the magnetic field and becomes better defined as observed in the non-substituted phase. These results are attributed to the presence of the unpaired electron in the dx2y2 orbital and the absence of overlap between neighbour ions.  相似文献

The title compounds were prepared by arc-melting pre-annealed mixtures of Ti, Mo, and As. Both Ti2MoAs2 and Ti3MoAs3 adopt structures formed by the corresponding binary vanadium arsenides, V3As2 and β-V4As3. Ti2MoAs2 crystallizes in the tetragonal space group P4/m, with a=9.706(4) Å, c=3.451(2) Å, V=325.1(3) Å3 (Z=4), and Ti3MoAs3 in the monoclinic space group C2/m, with a=14.107(3) Å, b=3.5148(7) Å, c=9.522(2) Å, β=100.66(3)°, V=464.0(2) Å3 (Z=4). In both cases, the metal atoms form infinite chains of trans edge-condensed octahedra, and the As atoms are located in (capped) trigonal prismatic voids. While most metal atom sites exhibit mixed Ti/Mo occupancies, the Mo atoms prefer the sites with more metal atom and fewer As atom neighbors. Ti2MoAs2 and Ti3MoAs3 are metallic entropy-stabilized materials that decompose upon annealing at intermediate temperatures.  相似文献
