In this paper we consider the quasilinear elliptic system Δpu=uavb, Δpv=ucve in a smooth bounded domain ΩRN, with the boundary conditions u=v=+∞ on ∂Ω. The operator Δp stands for the p-Laplacian defined by Δpu=div(|∇u|p−2u), p>1, and the exponents verify a,e>p−1, b,c>0 and (ap+1)(ep+1)?bc. We analyze positive solutions in both components, providing necessary and sufficient conditions for existence. We also prove uniqueness of positive solutions in the case (ap+1)(ep+1)>bc and obtain the exact blow-up rate near the boundary of the solution. In the case (ap+1)(ep+1)=bc, infinitely many positive solutions are constructed.  相似文献

We prove that the semilinear system Δu=a(x)upvq, Δv=b(x)urvs in a smooth bounded domain ΩRN has a unique positive solution with the boundary condition u=v=+∞ on ∂Ω, provided that p,s>1, q,r>0 and (p−1)(s−1)−qr>0. The main novelty is imposing a growth on the possibly singular weights a(x), b(x) near ∂Ω, rather than requiring them to have a precise asymptotic behavior.  相似文献

In this paper, one-dimensional (1D) nonlinear wave equation uttuxx+mu+u3=0, subject to Dirichlet boundary conditions is considered. We show that for each given m>0, and each prescribed integer b>1, the above equation admits a Whitney smooth family of small-amplitude quasi-periodic solutions with b-dimensional Diophantine frequencies, which correspond to b-dimensional invariant tori of an associated infinite-dimensional dynamical system. In particular, these Diophantine frequencies are the small dilation of a prescribed Diophantine vector. The proof is based on a partial Birkhoff normal form reduction and an improved KAM method.  相似文献

Let u? be a single layered radially symmetric unstable solution of the Allen-Cahn equation −?2Δu=u(ua(|x|))(1−u) over the unit ball with Neumann boundary conditions. Based on our estimate of the small eigenvalues of the linearized eigenvalue problem at u? when ? is small, we construct solutions of the form u?+v?, with v? non-radially symmetric and close to zero in the unit ball except near one point x0 such that |x0| is close to a nondegenerate critical point of a(r). The aim of this paper is to investigate the behaviour as t of solutions to the Cauchy problem ut−△utvu−(b,u)=F(u),u(x,0)=u0(x), where v>0 is a fixed constant, t≥0, xΩ, Ω is a bounded domain in Rn. We will first establish an a priori estimate. Then, we establish the global existence, uniqueness and continuous dependence of the weak solution for the Sobolev-Galpern type equation with the Dirichlet boundary.  相似文献

In this paper we study the existence and non-existence of travelling wave to parabolic system of the form at=axxaf(b), bt=Dbxx+af(b), with f a degenerate nonlinearity. In the context of an auto-catalytic chemical reaction, a is the density of a chemical species called reactant A, b that of another chemical species B called auto-catalyst, and D=DB/DA>0 is the ratio of diffusion coefficients, DB of B and DA of A, respectively. Such a system also arises from isothermal combustion. The nonlinearity is called degenerate, since f(0)=f(0)=0. One case of interest in this article is the propagating wave fronts in an isothermal auto-catalytic chemical reaction of order with 1<n<2, and D≠1 due to different molecular weights and/or sizes of A and B. The resulting nonlinearity is f(b)=bn. Explicit bounds v and v that depend on D are derived such that there is a unique travelling wave of every speed v?v and there does not exist any travelling wave of speed v<v. New to the literature, it is shown that vvD when D<1. Furthermore, when D>1, it is shown rigorously that there exists a vmin such that there is a travelling wave of speed v if and only if v?vmin. Estimates on vmin improve significantly that of early works. Another case in which two different orders of isothermal auto-catalytic chemical reactions are involved is also studied with interesting new results proved.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider one-dimensional nonlinear Schrödinger equation iutuxx+V(x)u+f(2|u|)u=0 on [0,πR under the boundary conditions a1u(t,0)−b1ux(t,0)=0, a2u(t,π)+b2ux(t,π)=0, , for i=1,2. It is proved that for a prescribed and analytic positive potential V(x), the above equation admits small-amplitude quasi-periodic solutions corresponding to d-dimensional invariant tori of the associated infinite-dimensional dynamical system.  相似文献

We concentrate on the uniqueness problem for this equation, and we prove that if ?? ?? We study the long time behavior of solutions for damped wave equations with absorption. These equations are generally accepted as models of wave propagation in heterogeneous media with space-time dependent friction a(t,x)ut and nonlinear absorption |u|p−1u (Ikawa (2000) [17]). We consider 1<p<(n+2)/(n−2) and separable a(t,x)=λ(x)η(t) with λ(x)∼(1+|x|)α and η(t)∼(1+t)β satisfying conditions (A1) or (A2) which are given. The main results are precise decay estimates for the energy, L2 and Lp+1 norms of solutions. We also observe the following behavior: if α∈[0,1), β∈(−1,1) and 0<α+β<1, there are three different regions for the decay of solutions depending on p; if α∈(−,0) and β∈(−1,1), there are only two different regions for the decay of the solutions depending on p.  相似文献

We study the existence, uniqueness and regularity of positive solutions of the parabolic equation ut−Δu=a(x)uq+b(x)up in a bounded domain and with Dirichlet's condition on the boundary. We consider here aLα(Ω), bLβ(Ω) and 0<q?1<p. The initial data u(0)=u0 is considered in the space Lr(Ω), r?1. In the main result (0<q<1), we assume a,b?0 a.e. in Ω and we assume that u0?γdΩ for some γ>0. We find a unique solution in the space .  相似文献

We consider three singularly perturbed convection-diffusion problems defined in three-dimensional domains: (i) a parabolic problem −?(uxx+uyy)+ut+v1ux+v2uy=0 in an octant, (ii) an elliptic problem −?(uxx+uyy+uzz)+v1ux+v2uy+v3uz=0 in an octant and (iii) the same elliptic problem in a half-space. We consider for all of these problems discontinuous boundary conditions at certain regions of the boundaries of the domains. For each problem, an asymptotic approximation of the solution is obtained from an integral representation when the singular parameter ?→0+. The solution is approximated by a product of two error functions, and this approximation characterizes the effect of the discontinuities on the small ?− behaviour of the solution and its derivatives in the boundary layers or the internal layers.  相似文献

It is proved that for each given 0 σ 1, and each given integer b 1, the above equation admits a Whitney smooth family of small-amplitude quasi-periodic solutions with b-dimensional Diophantine frequencies, corresponding to b-dimensional invariant tori of an associated infinite-dimensional Hamiltonian system. Moreover, these b-dimensional Diophantine frequencies are the small dilation of a prescribed Diophantine vector. (3) A RIB is constructed explicitly whenever it exists. (4) disc(K) is given. In particular, the following results are special cases of (2): (i) Narkiewicz showed in 1974 that Kk has a RIB if u is a prime; (ii) Edgar and Peterson (J. Number Theory12 (1980), 77–83) showed that for u composite there is at least one K ? k having no RIB. This paper deals with a class of porous medium systems with moving localized sources ut=ur1(Δu+af(v(x0(t),t))),vt=vr2(Δv+bg(u(x0(t),t))) with homogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions. It is shown that under certain conditions, solutions of the above system blow up in finite time for large a and b or large initial data while there exist global positive solutions to the above system for small a and b or small initial data. Moreover, in the one dimensional space case, it is also shown that all global positive solutions of the above problem are uniformly bounded.  相似文献

In this paper we study Cauchy problem of generalized double dispersion equations uttuxxuxxtt+uxxxx=f(u)xx, where f(u)=p|u|, p>1 or u2k, . By introducing a family of potential wells we not only get a threshold result of global existence and nonexistence of solutions, but also obtain the invariance of some sets and vacuum isolating of solutions. In addition, the global existence and finite time blow up of solutions for problem with critical initial conditions E(0)=d, I(u0)?0 or I(u0)<0 are proved.  相似文献

Here λ and μ are regarded as parameters and p,s>1, q,r>0 verify (p−1)(s−1)>qr. We consider the case where a(x)?0 in Ω and a(x) is allowed to vanish in an interior subdomain Ω0, while b(x)>0 in . Our main results include existence of nonnegative nontrivial solutions in the range 0<λ<λ1?∞, μ>0, where λ1 is characterized by means of an eigenvalue problem, and the uniqueness of such solutions. We also study their asymptotic behavior in all possible cases: as both λ,μ→0, as λλ1<∞ for fixed μ (respectively μ→∞ for fixed λ) and when both λ,μ→∞ in case λ1=∞.  相似文献
