We investigate leaky integrate-and-fire models (LIF models for short) driven by Stepanov and μ-almost periodic functions. Special attention is paid to the properties of the firing map and its displacement, which give information about the spiking behavior of the considered system. We provide conditions under which such maps are well-defined and are uniformly continuous. We show that the LIF models with Stepanov almost periodic inputs have uniformly almost periodic displacements. We also show that in the case of μ-almost periodic drives it may happen that the displacement map is uniformly continuous, but is not μ-almost periodic (and thus cannot be Stepanov or uniformly almost periodic). By allowing discontinuous inputs, we extend some previous results, showing, for example, that the firing rate for the LIF models with Stepanov almost periodic input exists and is unique. This is a starting point for the investigation of the dynamics of almost-periodically driven integrate-and-fire systems.  相似文献

This article analyzes some stochastic processes that arise in a bulk single server queue with continuously operating server, state dependent compound Poisson input flow and general state dependent service process. The authors treat the queueing process as a semi–regenerative process and obtain the invariant probability measure and the transient distribution for the embedded Markov chain. The stationary probability measure for the queueing process with continuous time parameter is found by using semi-regenerative techniques. The authors also study the input and output processes and establish ergodic theorems for some functionals of these processes. The results are obtained in terms of the invariant probability measure for the embedded process and the stationary measure for the queueing process with continuous time parameter  相似文献

We consider a special form of parametric generalized equations arising from electronic circuits with AC sources and study the effect of perturbing the input signal on solution trajectories. Using methods of variational analysis and strong metric regularity property of an auxiliary map, we are able to prove the regularity properties of the solution trajectories inherited by the input signal. Furthermore, we establish the existence of continuous solution trajectories for the perturbed problem. This can be achieved via a result of uniform strong metric regularity for the auxiliary map.  相似文献

In this paper we introduce binary knapsack problems where the objective function is nonlinear, and investigate their Lagrangean and continuous relaxations. Some of our results generalize previously known theorems concerning linear and quadratic knapsack problems. We investigate in particular the case in which the objective function is supermodular. Under this hypothesis, although the problem remains NP-hard, we show that its Lagrangean dual and its continuous relaxation can be solved in polynomial time. We also comment on the complexity of recognizing supermodular functions. The particular case in which the knapsack constraint is of the cardinality type is also addressed and some properties of its optimal value as a function of the right hand side are derived.Work done while the authors were visiting Rutgers University.  相似文献

In this paper, we study sufficient conditions for the one-to-one solvability of secondorder partial differential equations in a plane Jordan domain. For a continuous one-to-one and orientation-keeping map of the boundary of a Jordan domain to the rectifiable boundary of some other Jordan domain, we prove the following property: If the Cauchy integral whose measure is generated by this map is bounded by some constant in the exterior domain, then the solution to the corresponding Dirichlet problem in the domain with this boundary function maps these domains one-to-one. In the proof of the main result we use integral representations of equation solutions, particularly, properties of Fredholm-type integral equations on the domain boundary.  相似文献

We prove some results concerning the entropy of continuous and almost continuous functions. We first introduce the notions of bundle entropy and (strong) entropy points and then we study properties of these notions in connection with the theory of multifunctions. Based on these facts we give theorems about approximation of functions defined and assuming their values on compact manifold by functions having strong entropy points.  相似文献

In this paper, we derive some results concerning the continuous dependence on parameters of optimal solutions to an optimal control problem that involves a quasilinear hyperbolic differential equation with a boundary condition and a nonlinear integral functional of action; continuous dependence of such kind is sometimes referred to as stability or sensitivity. To present a sufficient condition for the continuous dependence, we use the Kuratowski–Painlevé upper limit of a sequence of sets. Also offered is a technical interpretation of the results.  相似文献

In this paper, we will prove that the random version of Fan's Theorem [6, Theorem 2] is true for a random hemicompact 1-set-contractive map defined on a closed ball, a sphere and an annulus in cones. This class of random 1-set-contractive map includes random condensing maps, random continuous semicontractive maps, random LANE maps, random nonexpansive maps and others. As applications of our theorems, some random fixed point theorems of non-self-maps are proved under various well-known boundary conditions. In this paper, the interconnection of some ergodic properties between a continuous selfmap and its inverse limit is studied. It has been proved that (1) their invariant Borel probability measures are identical up to homeomorphism and (2) they preserve uniform positive entropy property simuitaneously. As applications, it is also proved that the upper semi-continu-ous properties of their entropy maps are restricted each other, and the entropy map of the asymptotically h-expansive continuous map is upper semi-contlnuous, at the same time a continuous map having u, p.e. is topological weakmixing.  相似文献

A cognitive map is a collection of nodes linked by some arcs. Up to this point, there is unanimity in the literature about the previous definition. But if we look closer at the meaning of the nodes and links, we can see that there are crucial differences between the various authors. And these differences are not always explicit. In spite of this, it seems that many authors perform on the maps the same kind of analysis (strongly inspired by the book of Axelrod), even if these analyses are not consistent with their conception of a cognitive map. That is why it is important to clearly and formally define the kind of map used. In this paper, we propose a formal definition of a cognitive map relying on the concept of fuzzy implication. Thus in our framework, a node is a logical proposition and a link is an implication. Starting from our definition, we show some properties of this kind of maps and some analysis techniques.  相似文献

For a triangular array of symmetric random variables (without any integrability condition) we replace the classical assumption of row-wise independence by that of row-wise joint symmetry. Under this weaker assumption we prove some results concerning the convergence in distribution of a suitable sequence of randomly normalized sums to the standard normal distribution. Then we exhibit a class of row-wise independent triangular arrays for which the ordinary sums fail to converge in distribution, while our results enable us to affirm the convergence in distribution of the normalized sums.  相似文献

In this paper we consider several concepts of approximate minima of a set in normed vector spaces and we provide some results concerning the stability of these minima under perturbation of the underlying set with a sequence of sets converging in the sense of Painlevé-Kuratowski to the initial set. Then, we introduce the concept of approximate solution for equilibrium problem governed by set-valued maps and we study the stability of these solutions. A result by Franzová and Smítal shows that a continuous map of the interval into itself is chaotic if and only if its topological sequence entropy relative to a suitable increasing sequence of nonnegative integers is positive. In the present paper we prove that for any increasing sequence of nonnegative integers there exists a chaotic continuous map with zero topological sequence entropy relative to this sequence.

We investigate the local topology of multiple point spaces in the image of a finite complex analytic map. In particular, we find examples of maps for which the constant sheaf on an image multiple point space of the map is perverse. These results are proved by the use of a spectral sequence which calculates the homology of the image of a continuous map.

In this paper, we propose an unsupervised context-sensitive technique for change-detection in multitemporal remote sensing images. Here a modified self-organizing feature map neural network is used. Each spatial position of the input image corresponds to a neuron in the output layer and the number of neurons in the input layer is equal to the number of features of the input patterns. The network is updated depending on some threshold value and when the network converges, status of output neurons depict a change-detection map. To select a suitable threshold of the network, a correlation based and an energy based criteria are suggested. The proposed change-detection technique is unsupervised and distribution free. Experimental results, carried out on two multispectral and multitemporal remote sensing images, confirm the effectiveness of the proposed approach.  相似文献

This paper deals with the computation of the asymptotic firing rate vector and the stationary marking of continuous weighted marked graphs under infinite servers semantics. The continuous weighted marked graphs are a particular class of continuous Petri net where each place has exactly one input and one output transition. First, we give an explicit formula to compute the asymptotic firing rate vector of transitions using the structure of the given net. Then, under the assumption that there exists only one critical circuit in the strongly connected continuous neutral weighted marked graphs, an original approach to compute the vector of stationary marking is presented. Finally, an application to a flexible manufacturing system is given.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to problems stated by Z. Zhou and F. Li in 2009. They concern relations between almost periodic, weakly almost periodic, and quasi-weakly almost periodic points of a continuous map $f$ and its topological entropy. The negative answer follows by our recent paper. But for continuous maps of the interval and other more general one-dimensional spaces we give more results; in some cases the answer is positive.  相似文献
