This paper proves that there exist 3n Steiner symmetrizations that transform any convex set Kn into an isomorphic Euclidean ball; i.e. if vol(K)=vol(Dn) where Dn is the standard Euclidean unit ball, then K can be transformed into a body K such that c1DnKc2Dn, where c1,c2 are numerical constants. Moreover, for any c>2, cn symmetrizations are also enough.  相似文献

A polyhedral or piecewise linear homogeneous programming problem is shown through symmetrization to be equivalent to a linear one, yielding a duality theorem for polyhedral homogeneous programming. In this paper we show that given a \(p\) -convex set \(K \subset \mathbb{R }^n\) , there exist \(5n\) Steiner symmetrizations that transform it into an isomorphic Euclidean ball. That is, if \(|K| = |D_n| = \kappa _n\) , we may symmetrize it, using \(5n\) Steiner symmetrizations, into a set \(K'\) such that \(c_p D_n \subset K' \subset C_p D_n\) , where \(c_p\) and \(C_p\) are constants dependent on \(p\) only.  相似文献

The symmetrization method of Gale, Kuhn and Tucker for matrix games is extended for bimatrix games. It is shown that the equilibria of a bimatrix game and its symmetrization correspond two by two. A similar result is found with respect to quasi-strong, regular and perfect equilibria.  相似文献
