In this paper the following theorem is proved： Every group L3（q） for q = 3^（2m-1）（m≥2） is characterized by its set of element orders.     

On the Cauchy Problem of Evolution P-Laplacian Equations with Strongly Non-linear Sources When 1 < p < 2

We study the solvability of the Cauchy problem (1.1)–(1.2) for the largest possible class of initial values, for which (1.1)–(1.2) has a local solution. Solutions and Multiple Solutions for p（x）-Laplacian Equations with Nonlinear Boundary Condition

The authors study the p（x）-Laplacian equations with nonlinear boundary condition. By using the variational method, under appropriate assumptions on the perturbation terms f1 （x, u）, f2（x, u） and h1（x）, h2（x）, such that the associated functional satisfies the ＂mountain pass lemma＂ and ＂fountain theorem＂ respectively, the existence and multiplicity of solutions are obtained. The discussion is based on the theory of variable exponent Lebesgue and Sobolev spaces.     

Asymptotic Behaviors of the Solutions to Scalar Viscous Conservation Laws on Bounded Interval

Abstract This paper concerns the asymptotic behaviors of the solutions to the initial-boundary value prob-lem for scalar viscous conservations laws u_t+f(u)_x=u_(xx) on[0,1],with the boundary condition u(0,t) =u_,u(1,t)=u_+ and the initial data u(x,0)=u_0(x,0)=u_0(x),where u_≠u_+ and f is a given function satisfyingf'(u)>0 for u under consideration.By means of energy estimates method and under some more regular condi-tions on the initial data,both the global existence and the asymptotic behavior are obtained.When u_u_+, which corresponds to shock waves in inviscid conservation laws, it is established for weak shockwaves,which means that │u_-u_+│is small.Moreover,exponential decay rates are both given.     

Existence and global attractivity of a positive periodic solution of a class of delay differential equation

The existence and the global attractivity of a positive periodic solution of the delay differential equationy(t)=y(t) F[t, y](t-τ ₁ (t)),⋯,y(t−τ _n (t))] are studied by using some techniques of the Mawhin coincidence degree theory and the constructing suitable Liapunov functionals. When these results are applied to some special delay bio-mathematics models, some new results are obtained, and many known results are improved. L p approximation by Bernstein-Kantorovich quasi-interpolants

Bernstein-Kantorovich quasi-interpolants K^（2r-1）n（f, x） are considered and direct, inverse and equivalence theorems with Ditzian-Totik modulus of smoothness ω^2rφ（f, t）p （1 ≤ p ≤＋∞） are obtained.     

On the partially microlocal hypoellipticity for a class of totally characteristic operators with characteristics of constant multiplicity

In this paper, I study the microlocal hypoellipticity for a class of totally characteristic operators (1.1). My main result is as follows: Under the conditions (I), (II), if the indicial operator of (1.1) is microlocally hypoelliptic in the complement ofWF _x(Pu(t,·)) for anyu(t,x)∈C _b ^∞ ([0,T], ℰ),t∈[0,T], λ∈ℤ, then the operator (1.1) is microlocally hypoelliptic in the variablex. On the Rankin-Selberg problem: higher power moments of the Riesz mean error term

LetΔ_1(x;φ) be the error term of the first Riesz mean of the Rankin-Selberg problem. We study the higher power moments ofΔ_1(x;φ) and derive an asymptotic formula for the 3-rd, 4-th and 5-th power moments by using Ivic's large value arguments and other techniques.     

Groupoid structure of Toeplitz algebra over L-shaped domain

The structure of the groupoidG associated with the ToeplitzC ^*-algebraC ^*(Ω) of the L-shaped domain is discussed. The detailed characterization ofM _∞ by the classification of the closed subgroup of the Euclidean space is presented. Bifurcation method for solving multiple positive solutions to Henon equation

Three algorithms based on the bifurcation method are applied to solving the D4 symmetric positive solutions to the boundary value problem of Henon equation. Taking r in Henon equation as a bi- furcation parameter, the D4-Σd(D4-Σ1, D4-Σ2) symmetry-breaking bifurcation points on the branch of the D4 symmetric positive solutions are found via the extended systems. Finally, Σd(Σ1, Σ2) sym- metric positive solutions are computed by the branch switching method based on the Liapunov-Schmidt reduction.     

Variational principles of second, first and intermediate kinds for non-holonomic mechanics

The differential variational principles of second kind for non-holonomic mechanics are given, from which a number of integral variational principles of second kind are set up. From the latter, the general relation of δq′-δq and the general form of integral variational principles of the first kind and intermediate kinds are derived. Thus not only all previous relations of δq′-δq and integral variational principles are unified but also the existance of the variational principles of intermediate kinds are pointed out. On the embeddings of mendelsohn triple systems

It is proved in this paper that there exists an incomplete Mendelsohn triple system IMTS(u,v; λ) if and only ifλ(u-v)(u-2v-1)≡0(mod 3),u≥2v+1 and (u, v, λ) ≠ (6, 1, 1). As a consequence, it is proved that for any given λ≥1, a Mendelsohn triple system MTS (v, λ) can be embedded in an MTS (u, λ) if and only ifλu(u-1)≡0(mod 3) andu≥2v+1. Moment inequalities and weak convergence for negatively associated sequences

A probability inequality for S_n and somepth moment (p⩾2) inequalities for |S_n| and max 1⩽k⩽n | S_k| are established. Here S_n is the partial sum of a negatively associated sequence. Based on these inequalities, a weak invariance principle for strictly stationary negatively associated sequences is proved under some general conditions. SOLVING SYMMETRIC MONOTONE LINEAR VARIATIONAL INEQUALITIES BY SOME MODIFIED LEVITIN-POLYAK PROJECTION METHODS

Some modified Levitin-Polyak projection methods are proposed in this paper for solving monotone linear variational inequality x∈Ω，（x′-x)^T(Hx c)≤0，for any x′∈Ω.It is pointed out that there are similar methods for solving a general linear variational inequality.     

Continuity of Weak Solutions for Quasilinear Parabolic Equations with Strong Degeneracy

The aim of this paper is to study the continuity of weak solutions for quasilinear degenerate parabolic equations of the form U_t-Δφ(u)=O, whereφ■C~1(R~1)is a strictly monotone increasing function.Clearly,the above equation has strong degeneracy,i.e.,the set of zero points ofφ′(·)is permitted to have zero measure. This is an answer to an open problem in[13,p.288].     

Atomic decompositions of Banach-spacevalued martingales

Several theorems for atomic decompositions of Banach-space-valued martingales are proved. As their applications, the relationship among some martingale spaces such asH _α(X) and_ρ H _α in the case 0< α⩽ are studied. It is shown that there is a close connection between the results and the smoothness and convexity of the value spaces. ℱ-subnormal and ℱ-subabnormal chains in finite groups

The class ℱ_pc of all finite groupsG is defined such thatX≤G implies that there exists an ℱ-subnormal subgroupS ofG containingX such thatX is ℱ-subabnormal inS, where ℱ is a saturated formation, closed under taken subgroups. Groups in ℱ_pc are characterized by ℱ-projectors and ℱ-covering subgroups. Approximation bounds for quadratic maximization and max-cut problems with semidefinite programming relaxation

In this paper,we consider a class of quadratic maximization problems.For a subclass of the problems,we show that the SDP relaxation approach yields an approximation solution with the ratio is dependent on the data of the problem with α being a uniform lower bound.In light of this new bound,we show that the actual worst-case performance ratio of the SDP relaxation approach (with the triangle inequalities added) is at least α δd if every weight is strictly positive,where δd ＞ 0 is a constant depending on the problem dimension and data.     

Weighted estimates for commutators of singular integral operators with non-doubling measures

Letμbe a nonnegative Radon measure on R~d which only satisfiesμ(B(x,r))≤C_0r~n for all x∈R~d,r>0,and some fixed constants C_0>0 and n∈(0,d].In this paper,some weighted weak type estimates with A_(p,(log L)~σ)~ρ(μ) weights are established for the commutators generated by Calder■n-Zygmund singular integral operators with RBMO(μ) functions.     

Lower bounds for multicolor classical Ramsey numbers

A method is put forward to establish the lower bounds for somen-color classical Ramsey numbers . With this method six new explicit lower boundsR ₄(4) ≥458,R ₃(5) ≥ 242,R ₃(6)≥1070,R ₃(7) ≥ 1214,R ₃(8) ≥2834 andR ₃(9) ≥ 5282 are obtained using a computer.
