This paper deals with the existence of traveling wave solutions of a class of delayed system of lattice differential equations, which formulates the invasion process when two competitive species are invaders. Employing the comparison principle of competitive systems, a new cross-iteration scheme is given to establish the existence of traveling wave solutions. More precisely, by the cross-iteration, the existence of traveling wave solutions is reduced to the existence of an admissible pair of upper and lower solutions. To illustrate our main results, we prove the existence of traveling wave solutions in two delayed two-species competition systems with spatial discretization. Our results imply that the delay appeared in the interspecific competition terms do not affect the existence of traveling wave solutions.  相似文献

In this paper the existence of solutions of a non-autonomous abstract retarded functional differential equation of second order with infinite delay is considered. Assuming the existence of an evolution operator corresponding to the associate abstract Cauchy problem of second order, we establish the existence of mild solutions of the functional equation. Furthermore, we study the existence of classical solutions of the abstract Cauchy problem of second order and we apply these results to establish the existence of classical solutions of the functional equation. Finally, we apply our results to study the existence of solutions of the non-autonomous wave equation with delay.  相似文献

In this paper, we first reduce the existence of traveling wave solutions in a delayed lattice competition-cooperation system to the existence of a pair of upper and lower solutions by means of Schauder’s fixed point theorem and the cross iteration scheme, and then we construct a pair of upper and lower solutions to obtain the existence and nonexistence of traveling wave solutions. We also consider the asymptotic behaviour of any nonnegative traveling wave solutions at negative infinity.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the existence of traveling wave solutions for delayed reaction diffusion systems which contain the competition diffusion systems with time lags. By using a cross iteration scheme, we reduce the existence of traveling wave solutions to the existence of a pair of admissible upper and lower solutions, which also provides a constructive process of the traveling wave solutions. To illustrate our conclusion, we consider a delayed diffusion system with the Gilpin–Ayala type nonlinearity and establish the existence of its traveling wave solutions, which cannot be answered by the existing results.  相似文献

In this paper the existence of solutions of a nonautonomous abstract Cauchy problem of second order is considered. Assuming appropriate conditions on the operator of the equation, we establish the existence of mild solutions and, in some cases, we construct an evolution operator associated to the homogeneous equation. Using this evolution operator we obtain existence of solutions for the inhomogeneous equation. Finally, we apply our results to study the existence of solutions of the nonautonomous wave equation.  相似文献

In this paper, we are concerned with the existence of solutions of systems determined by abstract functional differential equations with infinite and state‐dependent delay. We establish the existence of mild solutions and the existence of periodic solutions. Our results are based on local Lipschitz conditions of the involved functions. This paper is concerned with the existence and regularity of solutions for a class of neutral partial functional integrodifferential equations with infinite delay in Banach spaces. We use the theory of resolvent operator developed in R. Grimmer (1982) [29] to show the existence of mild solutions. We give sufficient conditions ensuring the existence of strict solutions. The phase space is axiomatically defined. Our results are applied to prove the existence and regularity of solutions to a Lotka–Volterra model with diffusion.  相似文献

In this paper, we discuss the existence of weak solutions to the initial and boundary value problem of a class of nonlinear degenerate parabolic equations in non-divergence form. Applying the method of parabolic regularization, we prove the existence of weak solutions to the problem. By carefully analyzing the approximate solutions to the problem, we make a series of estimates to the solutions and prove the weak convergence of the approximation solution sequence. This paper is devoted to the study of the existence of extremal solutions to a first-order initial value problem on an interval of an arbitrary time scale. We prove the existence of extremal solutions for problems satisfying Carathéodory's conditions. Moreover, they are approximated uniformly by a sequence of lower and upper solutions to this problem, respectively.

We also can warrant the existence and approximation of extremal solutions for the problem by relaxing their continuity properties.  相似文献

This work investigates the existence of globally Lipschitz continuous solutions to a class of Cauchy problem of quasilinear wave equations. Applying Lax's method and generalized Glimm's method, we construct the approximate solutions of the corresponding perturbed Riemann problem and establish the global existence for the derivatives of solutions. Then, the existence of global Lipschitz continuous solutions can be carried out by showing the weak convergence of residuals for the source term of equation.  相似文献

We provide existence results for nonnegative solutions to a class of reaction-diffusion systems with cross-diffusion modeling the spread of an epidemic disease. The existence of weak solutions is proved by means of an approximation process, the Faedo-Galerkin method, and a compactness argument. Under additional assumptions a global existence result for classical solutions is derived upon using interpolation results between Banach spaces.  相似文献

This paper deals with the existence of traveling wave solutions in delayed nonlocal diffusion systems with mixed monotonicity. Based on two different mixed-quasimonotonicity reaction terms, we propose new definitions of upper and lower solutions. By using Schauder's fixed point theorem and a new cross-iteration scheme, we reduce the existence of traveling wave solutions to the existence of a pair of upper and lower solutions. We study the problem of finding time-periodic solutions of a parabolic equation with the homogeneous Dirichlet boundary condition and with a discontinuous nonlinearity. We assume that the nonlinearity is equal to the difference of two superpositionally measurable functions nondecreasing with respect to the state variable. For such a problem, we prove the principle of lower and upper solutions for the existence of strong solutions without additional constraints on the “jumping-up” discontinuities in the nonlinearity. We obtain existence theorems for strong solutions of this class of problems, including theorems on the existence of two nontrivial solutions.  相似文献

We investigate the existence of solutions of a nonlinear elliptic boundary value problem at resonance. Under the condition that the associated linear boundary value problem has no sign-changing solution or nontrivial solution and some other additional conditions, we prove the existence of solutions or nontrivial (even multiple) solutions to the nonlinear problem. Thus the existence of solutions can be obtained when the nonlinearity may cross any finite number of eigenvalues of the linear problem.  相似文献
