The analysis of water distribution network is of great interest to hydraulic engineers. Although the water distribution network has been extensively studied for the last decades, there are still many unsolved problems awaiting clarification. In this paper, an algorithm is presented that describes a computationally efficient technique for water distribution networks based on Gröbner basis method. Gröbner basis algorithm provides the exact algorithmic solutions for solving the system of equations. However, Gröbner algorithm works only for polynomials and moreover for a large scale network, it takes a long CPU time. Hence, we present two other algorithms that work for non-polynomials and large scale problems. Three examples are presented to show the effectiveness of Gröbner basis method compared with Hardy Cross method, linear theory and Gradient method.  相似文献

We study the mixed Stekloff eigenvalue problem in doubly connected domains. Using circular symmetrization and a distortion theorem for conformal mappings of an annulus, we find lower bounds for the first eigenvalue. These bounds are sharp for the Grötzsch ring. We also solve an extremal problem for some polygonal doubly connected domains and prove some results concerning the existence of a closed nodal line. Bibliography: 19 titles.  相似文献

The generalized modulus has numerous applications in geometric function theory and analytic number theory. In this paper, we study the monotonicity and convexity of the generalized modulus and obtain sharp functional inequalities for this function. The main goal of this paper is to define Gröbner–Shirshov bases for some monoids. Therefore, after giving some preliminary material, we first give Gröbner–Shirshov bases for graphs and Schützenberger products of monoids in separate sections. The universal Gröbner basis of an ideal is a Gröbner basis with respect to all term orders simultaneously. We characterize in graph theoretical terms the elements of the universal Gröbner basis of the toric ideal of a graph. We also provide a new degree bound. Finally, we give examples of graphs for which the true degrees of their circuits are less than the degrees of some elements of the Graver basis.  相似文献

We consider some conventional problems of the theory of functions of a complex variable such that their extremal configurations have the n-fold symmetry. We discuss two-point distortion theorems corresponding to the two-fold symmetry. New estimates are obtained for the module of a doubly connected domain. These estimates generalize known results by Rengel, Grötzsch, and Teichmüller to the case of rings with the n-fold symmetry, where . New distortion theorems are proved for functions meromorphic and univalent in a disk or in a ring. In these theorems, the extremal function also has the corresponding symmetry. All of the problems mentioned above are unified by the method applied; this method is based on properties of the conformal capacity and on symmetrization. Bibliography: 27 titles.  相似文献

We focus on Gröbner bases for modules of univariate polynomial vectors over a ring. We identify a useful property, the “predictable leading monomial (PLM) property” that is shared by minimal Gröbner bases of modules in F[x]q, no matter what positional term order is used. The PLM property is useful in a range of applications and can be seen as a strengthening of the wellknown predictable degree property (= row reducedness), a terminology introduced by Forney in the 70’s. Because of the presence of zero divisors, minimal Gröbner bases over a finite ring of the type Zpr (where p is a prime integer and r is an integer >1) do not necessarily have the PLM property. In this paper we show how to derive, from an ordered minimal Gröbner basis, a so-called “minimal Gröbner p-basis” that does have a PLM property. We demonstrate that minimal Gröbner p-bases lend themselves particularly well to derive minimal realization parametrizations over Zpr. Applications are in coding and sequences over Zpr.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the structure of Ariki–Koikealgebras and their Specht modules using Gröbner–Shirshovbasis theory and combinatorics of Young tableaux. For a multipartition, we find a presentation of the Specht module S given by generatorsand relations, and determine its Gröbner–Shirshovpair. As a consequence, we obtain a linear basis of S consistingof standard monomials with respect to the Gröbner–Shirshovpair. The goal of this paper is to study the Koszul property and the property of having a Gröbner basis of quadrics for classical varieties and algebras as canonical curves, finite sets of points and Artinian Gorenstein algebras with socle in low degree. Our approach is based on the notion of Gröbner flags and Koszul filtrations. The main results are the existence of a Gröbner basis of quadrics for the ideal of the canonical curve whenever it is defined by quadrics, the existence of a Gröbner basis of quadrics for the defining ideal of s 2n points in general linear position in P n , and the Koszul property of the generic Artinian Gorenstein algebra of socle degree 3.  相似文献

The traveling wave solutions of the generalized nonlinear derivative Schrödinger equation and the high-order dispersive nonlinear Schrödinger equation are studied by using the approach of dynamical systems and the theory of bifurcations. With the aid of Maple, all bifurcations and phase portraits in the parametric space are obtained. We formulate and prove a new Lindelöf principle in the function theory of several complex variables. Inspired by the classical result, as improved later by Lehto and Virtanen, this new result meshes closely with the well-established Fatou theorems of Koranyi and Stein. In particular, this is a Lindelöf principle for admissible approach regions. We further adapt the new principle to the Levi geometry of various domains. The results in this paper improve on earlier results of Cirka, Cima/Krantz, Abate, and Abate/Tauraso.  相似文献

This paper studies a class of binomial ideals associated to graphs with finite vertex sets. They generalize the binomial edge ideals, and they arise in the study of conditional independence ideals. A Gröbner basis can be computed by studying paths in the graph. Since these Gröbner bases are square-free, generalized binomial edge ideals are radical. To find the primary decomposition a combinatorial problem involving the connected components of subgraphs has to be solved. The irreducible components of the solution variety are all rational.  相似文献

We present foundational work on standard bases over rings and on Boolean Gröbner bases in the framework of Boolean functions. The research was motivated by our collaboration with electrical engineers and computer scientists on problems arising from formal verification of digital circuits. In fact, algebraic modelling of formal verification problems is developed on the word-level as well as on the bit-level. The word-level model leads to Gröbner basis in the polynomial ring over Z/2n while the bit-level model leads to Boolean Gröbner bases. In addition to the theoretical foundations of both approaches, the algorithms have been implemented. Using these implementations we show that special data structures and the exploitation of symmetries make Gröbner bases competitive to state-of-the-art tools from formal verification but having the advantage of being systematic and more flexible.  相似文献
