In this paper, using optimization methods on Riemannian submanifolds, we establish two improved inequalities for generalized normalized δ-Casorati curvatures of Lagrangian submanifolds in complex space forms. We provide examples showing that these inequalities are the best possible and classify all Casorati ideal Lagrangian submanifolds (in the sense of B.-Y. Chen) in a complex space form. In particular, we generalize the recent results obtained in G.E. Vîlcu (2018) [34].  相似文献

In this paper we initiate the study of Lagrangian submanifolds in para-Kähler manifolds. In particular, we prove two general optimal inequalities for Lagrangian submanifolds of the flat para-Kähler manifold . Moreover, we completely classify Lagrangian submanifolds which satisfy the equality case of one of the two inequalities.  相似文献

In this work we study pseudo-parallel Lagrangian submanifolds in a complex space form. We give several general properties of pseudo-parallel submanifolds. For the 2-dimensional case, we show that any minimal Lagrangian surface is pseudo-parallel. We also give examples of non-minimal pseudo-parallel Lagrangian surfaces. Here we prove a local classification of the pseudo-parallel Lagrangian surfaces. In particular, semi-parallel Lagrangian surfaces are totally geodesic or flat. Finally, we give examples of pseudo-parallel Lagrangian surfaces which are not semi-parallel.  相似文献

The n-dimensional complex hyperquadric is a compact complex algebraic hypersurface defined by the quadratic equation in the (n+1)-dimensional complex projective space, which is isometric to the real Grassmann manifold of oriented 2-planes and is a compact Hermitian symmetric space of rank 2. In this paper, we study geometry of compact Lagrangian submanifolds in complex hyperquadrics from the viewpoint of the theory of isoparametric hypersurfaces in spheres. From this viewpoint we provide a classification theorem of compact homogeneous Lagrangian submanifolds in complex hyperquadrics by using the moment map technique. Moreover we determine the Hamiltonian stability of compact minimal Lagrangian submanifolds embedded in complex hyperquadrics which are obtained as Gauss images of isoparametric hypersurfaces in spheres with g(=  1, 2, 3) distinct principal curvatures. In this article, we define a new class of middle dimensional submanifolds of a Hyperkähler manifold which contains the class of complex Lagrangian submanifolds, and show that this larger class is invariant under the mean curvature flow. Along the flow, the complex phase map satisfies the generalized harmonic map heat equation. It is also related to the mean curvature vector via a first order differential equation. Moreover, we proved a result on nonexistence of Type I singularity.  相似文献

From the existence of parallel spinor fields on Calabi-Yau, hyper-Kähler or complex flat manifolds, we deduce the existence of harmonic differential forms of different degrees on their minimal Lagrangian submanifolds. In particular, when the submanifolds are compact, we obtain sharp estimates on their Betti numbers which generalize those obtained by Smoczyk in [49]. When the ambient manifold is Kähler-Einstein with positive scalar curvature, and especially if it is a complex contact manifold or the complex projective space, we prove the existence of Kählerian Killing spinor fields for some particular spin c structures. Using these fields, we construct eigenforms for the Hodge Laplacian on certain minimal Lagrangian submanifolds and give some estimates for their spectra. These results also generalize some theorems by Smoczyk in [50]. Finally, applications on the Morse index of minimal Lagrangian submanifolds are obtained.  相似文献

In this paper we extend our previous results on resolving conically singular Calabi–Yau 3-folds (Chan, Quart. J. Math. 57:151–181, 2006; Quart. J. Math., to appear) to include the desingularizations of special Lagrangian (SL) 3-folds with conical singularities that occur at the same points of the ambient Calabi–Yau. The gluing construction of the SL 3-folds is achieved by applying Joyce’s analytic result (Joyce, Ann. Global. Anal. Geom. 26: 1–58, 2004, Thm. 5.3) on deforming Lagrangian submanifolds to nearby special Lagrangian submanifolds. Our result will in principle be able to construct more examples of compact SL submanifolds in compact Calabi–Yau manifolds. Various explicit examples and applications illustrating the result in this paper can be found in the sequel (Chan, Ann. Global. Anal. Geom., to appear).  相似文献

We show that Lagrangian submanifolds in six-dimensional nearly Kähler (non-Kähler) manifolds and in twistor spaces Z 4n+2 over quaternionic Kähler manifolds Q 4n are minimal. Moreover, we prove that any Lagrangian submanifold L in a nearly Kähler manifold M splits into a product of two Lagrangian submanifolds for which one factor is Lagrangian in the strict nearly Kähler part of M and the other factor is Lagrangian in the Kähler part of M. Using this splitting theorem, we then describe Lagrangian submanifolds in nearly Kähler manifolds of dimensions six, eight, and ten.  相似文献

In this paper we construct many examples of n-dimensionalWillmore Lagrangian submanifolds in the complex Euclidean space C n . We characterize them as the only Willmore Lagrangian submanifolds invariant under the action of SO(n).  We give an explicit proof of the local version of Bryant's result [1], stating that any 3-dimensional real-analytic Riemannian manifold can be isometrically embedded as a special Lagrangian submanifold in a Calabi-Yau manifold. We then refine the theorem proving that a certain class of real-analytic one-parameter families of metrics on a 3-torus can be isometrically embedded in a Calabi-Yau manifold as a one-parameter family of special Lagrangian submanifolds. Two applications of these results show how the geometry of the moduli space of 3-dimesional special Lagrangian submanifolds differs considerably from the 2-dimensional one. First of all, applying Bryant's theorem and a construction due to Calabi we show that nearby elements of the local moduli space of a special Lagrangian 3-torus can intersect themselves. Secondly, we use our examples of one-parameter families to show that in dimension three (and higher) the moduli space of special Lagrangian tori is not, in general, special Lagrangian in the sense of Hitchin [13]. We study the Ribaucour transformation for flat Lagrangian submanifolds in complex flat space and complex projective space. As a consequence, we obtain a process to generate a new family of such submanifolds from a given one. Analytically, this provides a method to construct new solutions of the corresponding systems of PDEs from a given one. We also show that such transformation always comes with a permutability formula.  相似文献

We bridge between submanifold geometry and curve theory. In the first half of this paper we classify real hypersurfaces in a complex projective plane and a complex hyperbolic plane all of whose integral curves γ of the characteristic vector field are totally real circles of the same curvature which is independent of the choice of γ in these planes. In the latter half, we construct real hypersurfaces which are foliated by totally real (Lagrangian) totally geodesic submanifolds in a complex hyperbolic plane, which provide one of the examples obtained in the classification.  相似文献

We introduce a structural approach to study Lagrangian submanifolds of the complex hyperquadric in arbitrary dimension by using its family of non-integrable almost product structures.In particular,we define local angle functions encoding the geometry of the Lagrangian submanifold at hand.We prove that these functions are constant in the special case that the Lagrangian immersion is the Gauss map of an isoparametric hypersurface of a sphere and give the relation with the constant principal curvatures of the hypersurface.We also use our techniques to classify all minimal Lagrangian submanifolds of the complex hyperquadric which have constant sectional curvatures and all minimal Lagrangian submanifolds for which all local angle functions,respectively all but one,coincide.  相似文献
