In this paper we consider numerical solution of hemivariational inequalities (HVI) by using nonsmooth, nonconvex optimization methods. First we introduce a finite element approximation of (HVI) and show that it can be transformed to a problem of finding a substationary point of the corresponding potential function. Then we introduce a proximal budle method for nonsmooth nonconvex and constrained optimization. Numerical results of a nonmonotone contact problem obtained by the developed methods are also presented.  相似文献

Panagiotopoulos in order to formulate problems of mechanics involving nonconvex and nonsmooth energy function. In this article, we investigate a hybrid model combined by a parabolic differential equation and a parabolic hemivariational inequality (so-called differential hemivariational inequality of parabolic–parabolic type) in general infinite dimensional spaces which includes the history-dependent operator. The solvability of initial value problems as well as the periodic problems of the hemivariational inequality and the differential hemivariational inequality have been proved. In application, we study a contact problem with normal compliance driven by a history-dependent dynamical system.  相似文献

A variational inequality with a nonmonotone mapping is considered in a Euclidean space. A regularization method with respect to some of the variables is proposed for its solution. The convergence of the method is proved under a coercivity-type condition. The method is applied to an implicit optimization problem with an arbitrary perturbing mapping. The purpose of this paper is to study a regularization method of solutions of ill-posed problems involving hemivariational inequalities in Banach spaces. Under the assumption that the hemivariational inequality is solvable, a strongly convergent approximation procedure is designed by means of the so-called Browder-Tikhonov regularization method. In this paper, existence results on variational inequalities and generalized variational inequalities for some nonmonotone operators over closed convex subsets of a real reflexive Banach space are proved. The present paper deals with a new type of eigenvalue problems arising in problems involving nonconvex nonsmooth energy functions. They lead to the search of critical points (e.g. local minima) for nonconvex nonsmooth potential functions which in turn give rise to hemivariational inequalities. This paper is concerned with the control systems of semilinear fractional evolution hemivariational inequalities and their optimal controls in Banach space. Firstly, the existence of mild solutions is obtained and proved mainly by using a well‐known fixed point theorem of multivalued maps and the properties of generalized Clarke subdifferential. Then, by applying generally mild conditions of cost functionals, we investigate the existence results of the optimal controls for fractional differential evolution hemivariational inequalities. In this paper, we focus on the approximate controllability of control systems described by a large class of fractional evolution hemivariational inequalities. Firstly, we introduce the concept of mild solutions and present the existence of mild solutions for this kind of problems. Next, we show the approximate controllability of the corresponding linear control system. Finally, the approximate controllability of the fractional evolution hemivariational inequalities is formulated and proved under some appropriate conditions. In this paper we consider a mathematical model describing a dynamic linear elastic contact problem with nonmonotone skin effects. The subdifferential multivalued and multidimensional reaction–displacement law is employed. We treat an evolution hemivariational inequality of hyperbolic type which is a weak formulation of this mechanical problem. We establish a result on the existence of solutions to the Cauchy problem for the hemivariational inequality. This result is a consequence of an existence theorem for second order evolution inclusion. For the latter, using the parabolic regularization method, we obtain the solution as a limit when the viscosity term tends to zero.  相似文献

In this paper, we first gather existence results for linear and for pseudo-monotone variational inequalities in reflexive Banach spaces. We discuss the necessity of the involved coerciveness conditions and their relationship. Then, we combine Mosco convergence of convex closed sets with an approximation of pseudo-monotone bifunctions and provide a convergent approximation procedure for pseudo-monotone variational inequalities in reflexive Banach spaces. Since hemivariational inequalities in linear elasticity are pseudo-monotone, our approximation method applies to nonmonotone contact problems. We sketch how regularization of the involved nonsmooth functionals together with finite element approximation lead to an efficient numerical solution method for these nonconvex nondifferentiable optimization problems. To illustrate our theory, we give a numerical example of a 2D linear elastic block under a given nonmonotone contact law.  相似文献

Abstract

The paper studies the evolution of the thermomechanical and electric state of a thermoviscoelastic thermistor that is in frictional contact with a reactive foundation. The mechanical process is dynamic, while the electric process is quasistatic. Friction is modeled with a nonmonotone relation between the tangential traction and tangential velocity. Frictional heat generation is taken into account and so is the strong dependence of the electric conductivity on the temperature. The mathematical model for the process is in the form of a system that consists of dynamic hyperbolic subdifferential inclusion for the mechanical state coupled with a nonlinear parabolic equation for the temperature and an elliptic equation for the electric potential. The paper establishes the existence of a weak solution to the problem by using time delays, a priori estimates and a convergence method.  相似文献
