We successfully generate the double security using a fiber ring resonator incorporating an add/drop device, whereas the quantum-chaotic encoding of light in a single fiber ring resonator is constructed. In the experiment, the nonlinear Kerr effects in the fiber ring resonator induced the chaotic wave form within the fiber ring resonator, which could be used to scramble or encode into the original signals. The laser input power used was 15 mW, with a fiber ring radius of 50 cm. We found that the double security can be formed, where the randomly polarized photons could be controlled by using the polarization controller and observed.  相似文献

The nonlinearity properties of light traveling in a fiber optic ring resonator (FORR) are presented. The nonlinearity penalties suffering from Kerr effects and four-wave mixing nonlinear types including bistability, chaos and bifurcation are investigated. The advantages of the nonlinearity penalties including photon correlation, optical switching and information security using chaotic signals are also discussed. The obtained results have shown that the parameters of FORR can be changed, and thus the penalties of the nonlinear effects have shown the potential of using for some applications.  相似文献

We propose a simple system of the entangled photon states generation and regeneration using a standard diode laser, a Mach Zehnder Interferometer (MZI) and a fiber optic ring resonator (FORR). Light from the diode laser is launched into an MZI and circulated in the FOOR, without any optical pumping components included in the system. The nonlinear light pulses are generated by a Kerr nonlinear effects type, while the resonance peaks are formed by the four-wave mixing of light pulses in the FORR. The entangled photons can be performed by using the polarization control device, and then detected by the avalanche photo-detectors, where the entangled photon visibility is plotted and seen. Similarly, the entangled photon states can be easily formed by using the appropriated coupling ratios into a fiber coupler, then into a ring resonator, i.e. without an MZI. The use of the entangled photons generation based on a fiber optic scheme for quantum teleportation, quantum key distribution via optical wireless link, and the system of the entangled photon states recovery by using a fiber ring resonator incorporating an erbium-doped fiber (EDF) have been investigated and discussed. The feasibility of dense coding using multi-entangled photons generation based on the fiber optic scheme and the effect of the entangled state walk-off along the optical fiber are also discussed, respectively.  相似文献

We propose a new design of a chaotic signal generation and cancellation system using an all fiber optic scheme. A system consists of a standard diode laser, a fiber optic micro ring resonator, and an optical add/drop multiplexer. When light from the diode laser is input into the fiber ring resonator, the chaotic signal can be generated by using the selected fiber ring resonator parameters and the diode laser input power. The required signal is obtained in the transmission link via the add/drop device by a specific user at the drop port. Simulation results obtained have shown the potential of application, especially, when the practical ring radius is 10 μm with the optical input power is in the range of the communication standard diode laser, for instance, when the coupling coefficients of the add/drop device are κ1 = 0.01 and κ2 = 0.01–0.9. When the add port of the add/drop device is employed, such a system can also be utilized for the multi user applications.  相似文献

This paper proposes a simple scheme of four entangled photons generation using a pulse of weak light input into a Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MZI) incorporating a fiber optic ring resonator (FORR) without any optical pumping components included in the system. After a pair of entangled photon has been generated by a four-wave mixing of weak light pulse in the FORR [P.P. Yupapin, S. Suchat, Entangled photon generation using fiber optic Mach-Zehnder interferometer incorporating the nonlinear effect in a fiber ring resonator, Journal of Nanophotonics (JNP) 1 (2007) 013504], four and eight entangled photons can be performed. In application, the multi-entangled states can be formed using the appropriated coupling ratios into a fiber coupler. A novel (to our best knowledge) optical fiber strain sensor using a fiber ring resonator based on frequency comb Vernier spectroscopy is proposed and demonstrated. A passively mode-locked optical fiber laser is employed to generate a phased-locked frequency comb. Strain applied to the optical fiber of the fiber ring resonator can be measured with the transmission spectrum. A good linearity is obtained between displacement and the inverse of wavelength spacing with an R(2) of 0.9989, and high sensitivities better than 40 pm/με within the range of 0 to 10 με are achieved. The sensitivity can be proportionally improved by increasing the length of the optical fiber ring resonator.  相似文献

光学谐振腔由于其高Q值特性,作为谐振式陀螺的核心元件,有望实现谐振式陀螺的小型化、集成化,但是非互易性噪声成为制约其精度提高的不利因素. 介绍了采用传统半导体工艺制备的盘型腔与熔融法拉制的锥形光纤组成的耦合系统. 当盘型腔在光纤锥区的不同位置进行耦合谐振时,将输入输出正/反对调,观察到输出透射谱发生偏差,谐振频率、耦合效率以及Q值均发生变化,即存在非互易性现象. 用Rsoft软件对锥形光纤倏逝场分布特性进行仿真,理论分析了非互易性产生的原因. 以此可抑制谐振式光学陀螺应用中由锥形光纤与谐振腔组成的耦合系统产生的非互易性噪声. 关键词: 光学谐振腔 锥形光纤 非互易性 谐振式陀螺  相似文献

We report on oscillation wavelength control in erbium-doped fiber ring lasers by adjusting the period of a mechanically induced long-period fiber grating (LPFG) inserted into the fiber ring resonator. Pump light is provided by a 974 nm laser diode (LD), the emission of which is coupled into the fiber ring resonator through a wavelength-division multiplexing coupler. Laser oscillation occurs with a threshold pump LD current of 40 mA, corresponding to a threshold pump power of 5 mW. When a periodic pressure of 0.81 N/mm is applied to form the LPFG, the fiber ring laser exhibits the tunable range of 40.9 nm, i.e., from 1563.1 to 1604 nm, by changing the grating period.  相似文献

基于可调分束比的光纤分束器,制作了光纤环形谐振腔并通过调节分束比实现了对光纤环形谐振腔的欠耦合、临界耦合和过耦合的状态控制.实验测量了腔最小反射率与腔损耗之间的关系,获得光纤环形谐振腔的腔内衰减率为κ_0=2π×(1.60±0.03) MHz ,品质因子为Q=(1.10±0.02)×10.8.在此基础上,结合了压电陶瓷拉伸光纤以控制腔长和Pound-Drever-Hall锁频两大技术优势,克服了之前温度反馈控制等方法的反馈带宽窄、噪声大和稳定性差等问题,实现了对光纤环形谐振腔共振频率的快速、灵敏的控制和锁定.结果表明,锁频过程中相位调制功率与相位调制引起腔反射光的强度调制之间的关系为线性关系,进而通过降低相位调制信号的功率以减小相位调制对腔反射光强度调制的影响.当调制功率设定最低为–9 dBm时,光纤环形谐振腔仍能被稳定锁定.该光纤环形谐振腔为其与原子、金刚石色心等发光粒子相互作用的腔量子电动力学实验研究奠定了坚实的基础.  相似文献

A simple all optical system for stopping and storing light pulses is demonstrated. The system consists of an erbium-doped fiber amplifier (EDFA), a semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA), and a fiber ring resonator. The results show that the multisoliton generation with a free spectrum range of 2.4 nm and a pulse spectral width of 0.96 nm is achieved. The memory time of 15 min and the maximum soliton output power of 5.94 dBm are noted, respectively. This means that light pulses can be trapped, i.e., stopped optically within the fiber ring resonator.  相似文献

A high birefringence fiber (HBF) ring resonator with an inline weak reflector is newly proposed to generate narrowband reflection peaks. When a linear polarizer is located at the input port, effective free spectral range (FSR) of the reflected linearly polarized light is dramatically enhanced in single physical ring setup due to the intrinsic vernier effect between the traveling orthogonally polarized lights along the fast and slow axes of the HBF. What’s more, the side reflectivity suppression ratio can reach 6 dB. To sum up, these special properties facilitate its application in single-frequency fiber lasers.  相似文献

谐振光学环型腔作为光学陀螺的核心敏感单元,其光学调制谱和与之对应的鉴频曲线的特性成为提高光学陀螺系统检测灵敏度的关键。为了研究光学陀螺的调制和鉴频谱线特性,优化陀螺性能,设计并搭建了实验测试系统,光纤环形谐振腔采用分光比为50∶50、直径17 cm的保偏光纤,总长2.2 m。使用直流高压放大器扫描窄线宽激光器(线宽小于1 kHz)的压电转化模块,扫描频率和电压分别选取20 Hz和1 V,使用模拟比例积分电路进行锁频并反馈给激光器的压电转化模块,使激光器的输出频率跟踪谐振腔实时变化。研究分析了光纤环型谐振腔在两种情况下所对应的透射谱和鉴频曲线:第一种情况为调制电压分别为2 V和4 V,对应调制频率从100 kHz到4 MHz变化;第二种情况为当调制频率为900 kHz,调制电压从2 V到10 V变化。通过实验,得到了不同调制参数下光学陀螺谱线的谐振深度、半高全宽、线性带宽、动态范围、品质因数、标度因数以及对应的锁频精度七种物理量的详细变化情况,并进一步得到了静态测试条件下三种陀螺的最佳调制频率及与之所匹配的调制电压。为进一步研究激光调制对光纤环型谐振腔光谱的影响提供指导。  相似文献

We propose a new digital encoding method using light pulses tracing in a micro ring resonator, where the randomly digital codes can be performed. The chaotic signals can be generated and formed by the logical pulses “1” or “0” by using the signal quantizing method, which can be randomly coded by controlling the specific optical input coupling powers, i.e. coupling coefficient (κ) and ring radii. Simulation results when the ring radius used is 10.0 μm, and the other selected parameters are close to the practical device values that are presented and discussed. The random codes can be generated by the random control of coupling powers, which can be transmitted and retrieved via the design filters by the specific clients. For instance, the controlled input power used is between 2.0 and 3.5 mW, whereas the quantizing threshold powers and the traveling roundtrips are 0.3-0.4 mW and 8000-10,000, respectively. In application, the required information can be generated, and the information can be securely transmitted in the public link.  相似文献

Tapered fiber based ring resonators are fabricated and its optical characteristic is investigated in detail. The ring resonator is fabricated by coiling the tapered fiber, which is firstly made by heating and stretching a piece of optical fiber, after the polymer protective cladding has been removed The comb filter with a constant free spectral range (FSR) and the maximum extinction ratio of 4.2 dB is achieved by a single-mode fiber based ring resonator. The FSR of ring resonator can be adjusted by controlling the diameter of the ring. The extinction ratio is improved in the polarization maintaining fiber based ring resonator where the maximum extinction ratio of 14 dB is achieved at 1531 nm region.  相似文献

Abstract: Laser resonator is very important in the study and fabrication of lasers. The work conditions and work parameters of rare-earth element-doped optical fiber lasers with two different structures of laser resonators, i. e., the fiber ring resonator and Fabry-Perot resonator are studied. The fineness, laser resonant conditions, laser oscillation conditions and threshold inversion of these two different cavity are deduced. A series of experiments are also given. The result is very valuable to evaluate the output of optical fiber laser and can be a foundation of device fabrication. The Nd~(3 )-doped silica single-mode fiber laser pumped by Ar~ laser with a low threshold of 1.02 mW and a maximum output of more than 1 mW are presented in this paper.  相似文献

We experimentally obtain the route from period doubling to chaos in an active optical fiber ring resonator (AOFRR) with optical injection. The results show that the AOFRR is sensitive to external optical injection and demonstrate various dynamic characteristics. Meanwhile, the change of the injection strength can cause the output of the AOFRR to become periodic or chaotic. It can be confirmed that all the dynamic characteristics of the system are due to the interaction of the semiconductor laser with the erbium-doped fiber amplifier (EDFA).  相似文献

采用光纤振动传感技术研制了应用于国境线的光纤周界安全防范系统。通过对其进行入侵者翻越周界围栏的入侵探测实验,结果表明,它可有效地敏感由入侵行为产生的振动。通过对振动进行分析表明,翻越围栏的行为会产生非平稳随机信号,该信号存在多个幅度峰值,且频率都集中在500Hz以下的低频,为自动识别算法的开发提供了设计依据。实验环境中风力会产生300Hz以下的低频背景噪声,会增加识别的难度。  相似文献

We firstly present an experimental investigation of the entangled photon states’ recovery using a fiber optic ring resonator incorporating an erbium-doped fiber amplifier (EDFA). The weak light entangled photons can be recovered in both amplitude and states after the optical pumping and polarization control parts are used in the system. A new experimental result of the investigation of thermal effects on the entangled states’ walk-off and compensations has shown that the entangled photon walk-off compensation is achieved by using a pair of polarization control devices. The relationship between thermal effects and the entangled states’ phase shift is investigated and discussed. The walk-off compensation due to temperature changes from 30 to 80 °C is achieved. This shows that the changes in phase of the entangled photons can be negligible when the compensation is employed.  相似文献
