介质覆层下金属周期结构变化对TE波异常透射特性的影响   总被引:1,自引:1,他引:0

根据金属光栅结构变化对TE波异常透射特性影响的研究需要,建立了相应的模型。应用时域有限差分(FDTD)方法分别计算了单缝结构、多缝结构、不同宽度和不同周期等结构下的透射分布特征。研究发现添加凹槽会对金属表面能量的传递起阻碍作用。透射频域宽度随薄膜宽度增加而增加。随着狭缝宽度的增加,透射率分布曲线包络线趋于平坦,主透射峰短波长侧透射曲线分布基本不变,而主透射峰及其长波长侧的透射曲线分布变宽。这说明宽度的变化影响了表面共振模式,从而影响透射的分布。单个狭缝的透射与多周期结构相比,透射率曲线几乎重合,表明狭缝对表面模式没有调制作用,各狭缝的透射相对独立。  相似文献

Based on the rigorous coupled-wave analysis algorithm, we have systematically analysed the effect of the geometrical parameters of a dielectric film coated metallic grating with subwavelength slits on extraordinary optical transmission for s-polarization illumination. Results show that the dielectric film which sustains a waveguide electromagnetic mode on the top of the metallic lamellar grating can strongly enhance the transmittance, the positions of the transmission peaks are mainly determined by the period of the metallic grating, the thickness and refractive index of the dielectric film. This structure shows potential applications in excellent polarizers or polarization-isotropic devices at infrared spectral range by appropriately choosing the geometrical parameters.  相似文献

We investigate numerically the transmittance of light through gold double-layer structures with periodic coaxial and non-coaxial slits. We attribute the enhanced optical transmission to the surface plasmon resonance collaborating with the localized waveguide resonance. The transmission spectra and the surface electric fields are used to characterize the resonances of both types. For the coaxial system, with the increase of the slit width of the second layer, the resonance peak values of both types increase sharply at first until the two layers have the same slit width and then decrease dramatically; additionally, the center of the localized waveguide resonance peak shifts to shorter wavelength noticeably, but the surface plasmon peak center moves negligibly. As regards the non-coaxial structure, it shows a similar behavior of the localized waveguide resonance peak to that of the coaxial one; however, the surface plasmon resonance peak behaves in a different way. These results may be associated with the surface plasmon coupling modes and the Fabry–Perot cavity modes in the double-layer structure.  相似文献

We propose an H-shaped metallic grating and investigate its surface plasmon resonance properties. The result shows the formation process of the transmission spectra of the H-shaped grating by adjusting the depths of the arm cuts, and a band gap is formed on the region of short wavelength. It is also presented that the transmission of the H-shaped grating sensitively depends on the width and position of the arm slit, noticeable magnitude modification, redshift and blueshift, meld and split of the resonance peaks are found. In addition, the resonance peaks exhibit dips in the transmission spectrum when the two slit widths are different, and the dips are tunable by changing any one slit width for fixed another slit. To understand its physical origin, a field-interference mechanism, the Fabry–Pérot-like resonance theory and the phase resonance mechanism have been suggested, respectively. By selecting appropriate structural parameters, an H-shaped metallic grating for optical filter and channel selecting devices can be constructed.  相似文献

根据在亚波长金属光栅表面添加电介质会引起TE偏振光的透射异常性, 应用严格耦合波理论和时域有限差分方法, 研究了双层金属纳米光栅在TE偏振光入射时产生的异常透射现象. 利用等效折射率方法建立了双层金属光栅的等效模型, 得到了TE偏振光透射率与聚合物的折射率、厚度以及金属层厚度的变化关系. 确认了结构中聚合物是透射异常出现的必要条件, TE偏振光以波导电磁模式在其中传播, 并认为类Fabry-Perot腔谐振是透射峰值产生的主要原因.  相似文献

The transmission characteristics of a metallic film with subwavelength periodic slits are investigated by using the two-dimensional finite-difference time-domain method (2D-FDTD). Two models are constructed to show the dependance of the transmission spectrum on the slit structure. A sandwiched structure is used to exhibit the contribution of the metallic wall inside slits to the extraordinary high transmission. And a filled slit structure is employed to reflect the relation between the average refractive index inside the slits and the transmission spectrum of the structure. The transmission characteristics of two structures can be explained well with the waveguide resonance theory.  相似文献

An array of subwavelength slits in a metallic substrate supports a series of Fabry-Perot-like resonances, where each harmonic results in a transmission peak. Addition of extra slits per period yields a compound grating with a structure factor associated with the basis. In this study each repeat period is comprised of a central slit flanked by a pair of narrower slits. It supports three resonances for every Fabry-Perot-like solution. New and useful insight into this phenomenon is gained by describing each of the modes in terms of the band structure of diffractively coupled surface waves.  相似文献

It is generally admitted that the extraordinary transmission of metallic grating with very narrow slits is mainly due to the excitation of surface plasmons on the upper and lower interfaces of the grating. We show that the surface plasmon contribution is not the prime effect and that waveguide mode resonance and diffraction are responsible for the extraordinary transmission. Additionally and surprisingly, we reveal that the transmittance of subwavelength metallic gratings is always nearly zero for frequencies corresponding to surface plasmon excitation. This finding implies that surface plasmons play a negative role in the transmission.  相似文献

A metallic sub-wavelength grating with slits filled with dielectric was proposed to achieve broadband and enhanced Extraordinary Optical Transmission (EOT) for Transverse Electric (TE) wave. The physical mechanism for the improvements of the transmission spectrum was also revealed. It was found that the Fabry–Perot cavity resonance in the grating slits was the cause of the enhancement of the EOT and the waveguide modes theory was the fundamental mechanism for the broadened bandwidth of the transmission.  相似文献

The light transmittance of metal film with periodic slits and grooves structure has been investigated. It was demonstrated that the grooves significantly affect the transmittance of the metal film. The structure excavating two grooves symmetric to the central slit in a cell of a period grating displays a dent in the transmission spectrum comparing with the structure with only one slit in the cell. Deepening the grooves moves the dents to the longer wavelengths in the transmission spectrum. An analytical equation is also provided to approximately locate the dents. The grooves in the grating filter supply the advantage of removing the needless transmission of certain frequency.  相似文献

金属薄膜上亚波长金属狭缝的非共振光增强透射对宽频带光子器件的设计具有重要意义. 为增强金属狭缝的光透射, 设计了内嵌矩形腔楔形金属狭缝阵列, 并用有限元方法研究了该结构的透射特性. 结果表明, 内嵌矩形腔的楔形金属狭缝阵列比无矩形腔的楔形金属狭缝阵列透射率高. 此外, 还研究了矩形腔的结构参数和位置对内嵌矩形腔楔形金属狭缝阵列透射特性的影响. 这些结果将对设计具有更高透射能力的金属狭缝具有一定的指导意义. 关键词: 光异常透射 金属狭缝 表面等离极化激元  相似文献

 利用时域有限差分法模拟了厚金属层上单一亚波长狭缝内壁刻有一微型腔结构光波传输,结果发现在特定波长发生异常的增强透射。结合透射峰值对应波长近场分布,利用麦克斯韦方程组和波导理论对增强透射进行解释,认为光波在微型腔和狭缝中形成共振腔模起了重要作用:在狭缝内形成纵模,可以形成透射峰;在腔内形成不同的腔模也可以形成透射模。  相似文献

基于光纤Bragg光栅(FBG)反射复振幅相移对FBG法布里-珀罗腔透射谱的影响,分析了传统耦合模理论计算均匀FBG反射复振幅相移产生误差的原因.引入折射率分布初始相位参数描述FBG折射率分布纵向的微小偏移,用真实的反透射系数代替简明形式的反透射系数,对传统耦合模理论进行了修正,增加了与折射率分布初始相位参数有关而与波长无关的相位因子.在此基础上进一步对计算非均匀FBG的传输矩阵法的相位进行了修正.修正后的快速计算结果用于FBG法布里-珀罗腔透射谱的计算,可反映折射率分布初始相位参数对透射峰波长位置的影响,与Rouard 算法及实验值均有较好的一致性. 关键词: 光纤Bragg 光栅 法布里-珀罗腔 耦合模理论  相似文献

Metallic gratings with narrow slits can lead to special optical properties such as strongly enhancing the transmission and considerably strengthening the polarized effect. A narrow-band filter suitable for application in optical communication is designed by sandwiching a metallic grating between two identical dielectric films. The maximum transmission can reach 96% after optimizing the parameters of films and grating at a central wavelength of 1053 nm. It is the first time, to our knowledge, that such high transmission has been reported since the discovery of the extraordinarily high transmission through periodic holes or slits; moreover, the extremely polarized effect is also found in P mode of this symmetric grating.  相似文献

We numerically study the propagation of light in 2D photonic crystals (PC) made of infinite cylinders of high refractive index, via the excitation of their morphological dependent resonances, in the presence of metallic arrays of subwavelength slits, either corrugated or not, that may produce extraordinary transmission. In this way, we confirm and illustrate previous theoretical findings on PCs and show new effects when combined with slits. Among them, we show that the whispering gallery mode excitation in the PC couples dominates the transmission of the slit arrays alone. Appropriate design of the system parameters and the illumination conditions, selects the transport and confinement of energy.  相似文献

We introduce a mechanism for creating artificial high refractive index metamaterials by exploiting the existence of subwavelength propagating modes in metallic systems. As an example, we investigate analytically and numerically metal films with a periodic arrangement of cut-through slits. Because of the presence of TEM modes in the slits, for TM polarization such a system can be rigorously mapped into a high refractive index dielectric slab when the features are smaller than the wavelength of light. The effective refractive index is entirely controlled by the geometry of the metal films, is positive, frequency independent, and can be made arbitrarily large.  相似文献

用两种正折射率材料设计了一维光子晶体异质结构模型,并利用传输矩阵法对该光子晶体的透射谱进行了理论研究。结果发现:光通过光子晶体时,在较宽的禁带范围内出现透射率为100%的多条共振模,且共振模的数目与光子晶体结构周期数m相对应;当入射角一定时,共振模的位置可以通过介质的折射率、厚度来调制;当入射光入射角度增大时,多共振模出现整体蓝移,同时共振模宽度变窄。这些特性有望应用于多通道窄带滤波器的设计。  相似文献

理论分析和模拟计算了少模光纤布拉格光栅基模及高阶模的耦合与传输特性,得到在相同外部折射率变化情况下,少模光纤基模与高阶模耦合对应的布拉格波长变化,比正、反向基模之间耦合对应的布拉格波长变化显著增大.实验上制作了少模光纤布拉格光栅,测量了基模之间以及基模与高阶模之间对应的布拉格波长随外部折射率、温度变化的情况,得到与理论分析相符的结果.而对于温度变化对折射率测量结果干扰的问题,提出了通过计算布拉格波长差来克服温度影响的方法.这些结果为采用布拉格光纤光栅测量外部折射率变化提供了一种新的途径.  相似文献

基于光纤光栅的模式耦合理论,采用传输矩阵法对啁啾长周期光纤光栅(LPFG)的超宽带滤波特性进行了分析。研究表明当啁啾LPFG的纤芯模同时与同向传输的多个阶次的包层模发生耦合,且与多个不同阶次包层模对应的谐振峰交叠时,其传输谱带宽可扩展到500nm以上,可用做超宽带带阻滤波器。传输谱带宽随模式序数、啁啾系数、光栅长度、周期和折射率调制量的增加单调递增,但随光纤包层半径的增大单调递减。采用高斯折射率切趾技术抑制了传输谱旁瓣,为设计超宽带滤波器提供了新的方法。  相似文献

The transmission of normally incident plane wave through an array of subwavelength metallic slits curved with a sin- gle step or mutli-step has been explored theoretically. The transmission spectrum is simulated by using the finite-difference time-domain method. The influences of surface plasmon polaritons make the end of finite long sub-wavelength metallic slit behaves as magnetic-reflecting barrier. The electromagnetic fields in the subwavelength metallic slits are the superpo- sition of standing wave and traveling wave. The standing electromagnetic oscillation behaves like LC oscillating circuit to decide the resonance wavelength. Therefore, the parameters of adding step may change the LC circuit and influence the transmission wavelength. A new explanation model is proposed in which the resonant wavelength is decided by four factors: the changed length for electric field, the changed length for magnetic field, the effective coefficient of capacitance, and the effective coefficient of inductance. The effect of adding step is presented to analyze the interaction of two steps in slit with mutli-step. This explanation model has been proved by the transmission through arrayed subwavelength metallic slits curved with two steps and fractal steps. All calculated results are well explained by our proposed model.  相似文献
