We study fine properties of Lévy trees that are random compact metric spaces introduced by Le Gall and Le Jan in 1998 as the genealogy of continuous state branching processes. Lévy trees are the scaling limits of Galton-Watson trees and they generalize the Aldous continuum random tree which corresponds to the Brownian case. In this paper, we prove that Lévy trees always have an exact packing measure: we explicitly compute the packing gauge function and we prove that the corresponding packing measure coincides with the mass measure up to a multiplicative constant.  相似文献

By using absolutely continuous lower bounds of the Lévy measure, explicit gradient estimates are derived for the semigroup of the corresponding Lévy process with a linear drift. A derivative formula is presented for the conditional distribution of the process at time t under the condition that the process jumps before t. Finally, by using bounded perturbations of the Lévy measure, the resulting gradient estimates are extended to linear SDEs driven by Lévy-type processes.  相似文献

We consider a linear heat equation on a half line with an additive noise chosen properly in such a manner that its invariant measures are a class of distributions of Lévy processes. Our assumption on the corresponding Lévy measure is, in general, mild except that we need its integrability to show that the distributions of Lévy processes are the only invariant measures of the stochastic heat equation.  相似文献

By using the existing sharp estimates of the density function for rotationally invariant symmetric α-stable Lévy processes and rotationally invariant symmetric truncated α-stable Lévy processes, we obtain that the Harnack inequalities hold for rotationally invariant symmetric α-stable Lévy processes with α∈(0,2) and Ornstein-Uhlenbeck processes driven by rotationally invariant symmetric α-stable Lévy process, while the logarithmic Harnack inequalities are satisfied for rotationally invariant symmetric truncated α-stable Lévy processes.  相似文献

We perform a pruning procedure on a Lévy tree and instead of throwing away the removed sub-tree, we regraft it on a given branch (not related to the Lévy tree). We prove that the tree constructed by regrafting is distributed as the original Lévy tree, generalizing a result of Addario-Berry, Broutin and Holmgren where only Aldous’s tree is considered. As a consequence, we obtain that the “average pruning time” of a leaf is distributed as the height of a leaf picked at random in the Lévy tree.  相似文献

We construct optimal Markov couplings of Lévy processes, whose Lévy (jump) measure has an absolutely continuous component. The construction is based on properties of subordinate Brownian motions and the coupling of Brownian motions by reflection.  相似文献

By using lower bound conditions of the Lévy measure w.r.t. a nice reference measure, the coupling and strong Feller properties are investigated for the Markov semigroup associated with a class of linear SDEs driven by (non-cylindrical) Lévy processes on a Banach space. Unlike in the finite-dimensional case where these properties have also been confirmed for Lévy processes without drift, in the infinite-dimensional setting the appearance of a drift term is essential to ensure the quasi-invariance of the process by shifting the initial data. Gradient estimates and exponential convergence are also investigated. The main results are illustrated by specific models on the Wiener space and separable Hilbert spaces.  相似文献

A stochastic integral of Banach space valued deterministic functions with respect to Banach space valued Lévy processes is defined. There are no conditions on the Banach spaces or on the Lévy processes. The integral is defined analogously to the Pettis integral. The integrability of a function is characterized by means of a radonifying property of an integral operator associated with the integrand. The integral is used to prove a Lévy–Itô decomposition for Banach space valued Lévy processes and to study existence and uniqueness of solutions of stochastic Cauchy problems driven by Lévy processes.  相似文献

We propose an efficient implicit method to evaluate European and American options when the underlying asset follows an infinite activity Lévy model. Since the Lévy measure of the infinite activity model has the singularity at the origin, we approximate infinitely many small jumps by samples of a diffusion. The proposed methods to solve partial integro–differential equations for European options and linear complementarity problems for American options via an operator splitting method involve solving linear systems with tridiagonal matrices and so can significantly reduce the computations associated with the discrete integral operators. The numerical experiments verify that the proposed method has the second-order convergence rate under an infinite activity Lévy model.  相似文献

We study the rate of convergence of some recursive procedures based on some “exact” or “approximate” Euler schemes which converge to the invariant measure of an ergodic SDE driven by a Lévy process. The main interest of this work is to compare the rates induced by “exact” and “approximate” Euler schemes. In our main result, we show that replacing the small jumps by a Brownian component in the approximate case preserves the rate induced by the exact Euler scheme for a large class of Lévy processes.  相似文献

We study a non-Gaussian and non-stable process arising as the limit of sums of rescaled renewal processes under the condition of intermediate growth. The process has been characterized earlier by the cumulant generating function of its finite-dimensional distributions. Here, we derive a more tractable representation for it as a stochastic integral of a deterministic function with respect to a compensated Poisson random measure. Employing the representation we show that the process is locally and globally asymptotically self-similar with fractional Brownian motion and stable Lévy motion as its tangent limits.  相似文献

The study of Lévy processes on local fields has been initiated by Albeverio et al. (1985)–(1998) and Evans (1989)–(1998). In this paper, a decomposition theorem for Lévy processes on local fields is given in terms of a structure result for measures on local fields and a Lévy–Khinchine representation. It is shown that a measure on a local field can be decomposed into three parts: a spherically symmetric measure, a totally non-spherically symmetric measure and a singular measure. We show that if the Radon–Nikodym derivative of the absolutely continuous part of a Lévy measure on a local field is locally constant, the Lévy process is the sum of a spherically symmetric random walk, a finite or countable set of totally non, spherically symmetric Lévy processes with single balls as support of their Lévy measure, end a singular Lévy process. These processes are independent. Explicit formulae for the transition function are obtained.  相似文献

We prove that the upward ladder height subordinator H associated to a real valued Lévy process ξ has Laplace exponent φ that varies regularly at ∞ (respectively, at 0) if and only if the underlying Lévy process ξ satisfies Sina?ˇ's condition at 0 (respectively, at ∞). Sina?ˇ's condition for real valued Lévy processes is the continuous time analogue of Sina?ˇ's condition for random walks. We provide several criteria in terms of the characteristics of ξ to determine whether or not it satisfies Sina?ˇ's condition. Some of these criteria are deduced from tail estimates of the Lévy measure of H, here obtained, and which are analogous to the estimates of the tail distribution of the ladder height random variable of a random walk which are due to Veraverbeke and Grübel.  相似文献

This paper suggests Lévy copulas in order to characterize the dependence among components of multidimensional Lévy processes. This concept parallels the notion of a copula on the level of Lévy measures. As for random vectors, a version of Sklar's theorem states that the law of a general multivariate Lévy process is obtained by combining arbitrary univariate Lévy processes with an arbitrary Lévy copula. We construct parametric families of Lévy copulas and prove a limit theorem, which indicates how to obtain the Lévy copula of a multivariate Lévy process X from the ordinary copula of the random vector Xt for small t.  相似文献

Some sufficient conditions for the recurrence, the positive recurrence and the exponential ergodicity of one-dimensional Lévy type operators are presented. The conditions are classified according to different conditions on the ranges and integrability of the Lévy measure, based on the drift inequalities for the extended generator, and on a comparison with diffusion operators. A number of examples are illustrated, including the fractional Laplacian operator and the Ornstein–Uhlenbeck type operator.  相似文献

We show some Chung-type lim inflim inf law of the iterated logarithm results at zero for a class of (pure-jump) Feller or Lévy-type processes. This class includes all Lévy processes. The norming function is given in terms of the symbol of the infinitesimal generator of the process. In the Lévy case, the symbol coincides with the characteristic exponent.  相似文献

In this paper we are interested in optimizing proportional reinsurance and investment policies in a multidimensional Lévy-driven insurance model. The criterion is that of maximizing exponential utility. Solving the classical Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman equation yields that the optimal retention level keeps a constant amount of claims regardless of time and the company’s wealth level.A special feature of our construction is to allow for dependencies of the risk reserves in different business lines. Dependence is modeled via an Archimedean Lévy copula. We derive a sufficient and necessary condition for an Archimedean Lévy generator to create a multidimensional positive Lévy copula in arbitrary dimension.Based on these results we identify structure conditions for the generator and the Lévy measure of an Archimedean Lévy copula under which an insurance company reinsures a larger fraction of claims from one business line than from another.  相似文献

We provide asymptotic results for time-changed Lévy processes sampled at random instants. The sampling times are given by the first hitting times of symmetric barriers, whose distance with respect to the starting point is equal to ε. For a wide class of Lévy processes, we introduce a renormalization depending on ε, under which the Lévy process converges in law to an α-stable process as ε goes to 0. The convergence is extended to moments of hitting times and overshoots. These results can be used to build high frequency statistical procedures. As examples, we construct consistent estimators of the time change and, in the case of the CGMY process, of the Blumenthal-Getoor index. Convergence rates and a central limit theorem for suitable functionals of the increments of the observed process are established under additional assumptions.  相似文献

We present a class of Lévy processes for modelling financial market fluctuations: bilateral Gamma processes. Our starting point is to explore the properties of bilateral Gamma distributions, and then we turn to their associated Lévy processes. We treat exponential Lévy stock models with an underlying bilateral Gamma process as well as term structure models driven by bilateral Gamma processes, and apply our results to a set of real financial data (DAX 1996–1998).  相似文献
