We consider an insurance risk model for the cashflow of an insurance company, which invests its reserve into a portfolio consisting of risky and riskless assets. The price of the risky asset is modeled by an exponential Lévy process. We derive the integrated risk process and the corresponding discounted net loss process. We calculate certain quantities as characteristic functions and moments. We also show under weak conditions stationarity of the discounted net loss process and derive the left and right tail behavior of the model. Our results show that the model carries a high risk, which may originate either from large insurance claims or from the risky investment.  相似文献

We consider a stochastic model for the wealth of an insurance company which has the possibility to invest into a risky and a riskless asset under a constant mix strategy. The total claim amount is modeled by a compound Poisson process and the price of the risky asset follows a general exponential Lévy process. We investigate the resulting reserve process and the corresponding discounted net loss process. This opens up a way to measure the risk of a negative outcome of the reserve process in a stationary way. We provide an approximation of the optimal investment strategy which maximizes the expected wealth of the insurance company under a risk constraint on the Value-at-Risk. We conclude with some examples.  相似文献

We construct a white noise theory for Lévy processes. The starting point of this theory is a chaos expansion for square integrable random variables. We use this approach to Malliavin calculus to prove the following white noise generalization of the Clark-Haussmann-Ocone formula for Lévy processes

We provide a mathematical framework to model continuous time trading of a small investor in limit order markets. We show how elementary strategies can be extended in a suitable way to general continuous time strategies containing orders with infinitely many different limit prices. The general limit buy order strategies are predictable processes with values in the set of nonincreasing demand functions. It turns out that our strategy set of limit and market orders is closed, but limit orders can turn into market orders when passing to the limit, and any element can be approximated by a sequence of elementary strategies.  相似文献

In our previous papers (Adv. in Math. 138 (1) (1998) 182; Potential Anal. 12 (2000) 419), we have obtained a decomposition of |f|, where f is a function defined on , that is analogous to the one proved by H. Tanaka for martingales (the so-called “Tanaka formula”). More precisely, the decomposition has the form , where is (a variant of ) the density of the area integral associated with f. This functional (introduced by R.F. Gundy in his 1983 paper (The density of area integral, Conference on Harmonic Analysis in Honor of Antoni Zygmund. Wadsworth, Belmont, CA, 1983, pp. 138-149.)) can be viewed as the counterpart of the local time in Euclidean harmonic analysis. In this paper, we are interested in boundedness and continuity properties of the mapping (which we call the Lévy transform in analysis) on some classical function or distribution spaces. As was shown in [4,5], the above (non-linear) decomposition is bounded in Lp for every p∈[1,+∞[, i.e. one has , where Cp is a constant depending only on p. Nevertheless our methods (roughly speaking, the Calderón-Zygmund theory in [4], stochastic calculus and martingale inequalities in [5]) both gave constants Cp whose order of magnitude near 1 is O(1/(p−1)). The aim of this paper is two-fold: first, we improve the preceding result and we answer a natural question, by proving that the best constants Cp are bounded near 1. Second, we prove that the Lévy transform is continuous on the Hardy spaces Hp with p>n/(n+1).  相似文献

Existence and uniqueness of the mild solutions for stochastic differential equations for Hilbert valued stochastic processes are discussed, with the multiplicative noise term given by an integral with respect to a general compensated Poisson random measure. Parts of the results allow for coefficients which can depend on the entire past path of the solution process. In the Markov case Yosida approximations are also discussed, as well as continuous dependence on initial data, and coefficients. The case of coefficients that besides the dependence on the solution process have also an additional random dependence is also included in our treatment. All results are proven for processes with values in separable Hilbert spaces. Differentiable dependence on the initial condition is proven by adapting a method of S. Cerrai.  相似文献

We study backward stochastic differential equations (BSDEs) for time-changed Lévy noises when the time-change is independent of the Lévy process. We prove existence and uniqueness of the solution and we obtain an explicit formula for linear BSDEs and a comparison principle. BSDEs naturally appear in control problems. Here we prove a sufficient maximum principle for a general optimal control problem of a system driven by a time-changed Lévy noise. As an illustration we solve the mean–variance portfolio selection problem.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove the existence and uniqueness of the solution for a class of backward stochastic partial differential equations (BSPDEs, for short) driven by the Teugels martingales associated with a Lévy process satisfying some moment conditions and by an independent Brownian motion. An example is given to illustrate the theory.  相似文献

This paper studies game-type credit default swaps that allow the protection buyer and seller to raise or reduce their respective positions once prior to default. This leads to the study of an optimal stopping game subject to early default termination. Under a structural credit risk model based on spectrally negative Lévy processes, we apply the principles of smooth and continuous fit to identify the equilibrium exercise strategies for the buyer and the seller. We then rigorously prove the existence of the Nash equilibrium and compute the contract value at equilibrium. Numerical examples are provided to illustrate the impacts of default risk and other contractual features on the players’ exercise timing at equilibrium.  相似文献

This paper considers the optimal control problem of a large insurance company under a fixed insolvency probability. The company controls proportional reinsurance rate, dividend pay-outs and investing process to maximize the expected present value of the dividend pay-outs until the time of bankruptcy. This paper aims at describing the optimal return function as well as the optimal policy. As a by-product, the paper theoretically sets a risk-based capital standard to ensure the capital requirement that can cover the total risk.  相似文献

In Gapeev and Kühn (2005) [8], the Dynkin game corresponding to perpetual convertible bonds was considered, when driven by a Brownian motion and a compound Poisson process with exponential jumps. We consider the same stochastic game but driven by a spectrally positive Lévy process. We establish a complete solution to the game indicating four principle parameter regimes as well as characterizing the occurrence of continuous and smooth fit. In Gapeev and Kühn (2005) [8], the method of proof was mainly based on solving a free boundary value problem. In this paper, we instead use fluctuation theory and an auxiliary optimal stopping problem to find a solution to the game.  相似文献

We prove that the upward ladder height subordinator H associated to a real valued Lévy process ξ has Laplace exponent φ that varies regularly at ∞ (respectively, at 0) if and only if the underlying Lévy process ξ satisfies Sina?ˇ's condition at 0 (respectively, at ∞). Sina?ˇ's condition for real valued Lévy processes is the continuous time analogue of Sina?ˇ's condition for random walks. We provide several criteria in terms of the characteristics of ξ to determine whether or not it satisfies Sina?ˇ's condition. Some of these criteria are deduced from tail estimates of the Lévy measure of H, here obtained, and which are analogous to the estimates of the tail distribution of the ladder height random variable of a random walk which are due to Veraverbeke and Grübel.  相似文献

We study a Linear–Quadratic Regulation (LQR) problem with Lévy processes and establish the closeness property of the solution of the multi-dimensional Backward Stochastic Riccati Differential Equation (BSRDE) with Lévy processes. In particular, we consider multi-dimensional and one-dimensional BSRDEs with Teugel’s martingales which are more general processes driven by Lévy processes. We show the existence and uniqueness of solutions to the one-dimensional regular and singular BSRDEs with Lévy processes by means of the closeness property of the BSRDE and obtain the optimal control for the non-homogeneous case. An application of the backward stochastic differential equation approach to a financial (portfolio selection) problem with full and partial observation cases is provided.  相似文献

A crucial property for dynamic risk measures is the time consistency. In this paper, a characterization of time consistency in terms of a “cocycle condition” for the minimal penalty function is proved for general dynamic risk measures continuous from above. Then the question of the regularity of paths is addressed. It is shown that, for a time consistent dynamic risk measure normalized and non-degenerate, the process associated with any bounded random variable has a càdlàg modification, under a mild condition always satisfied in the case of continuity from below. When normalization is not assumed, a right continuity condition on the penalty has to be added.  相似文献

A stochastic integral of Banach space valued deterministic functions with respect to Banach space valued Lévy processes is defined. There are no conditions on the Banach spaces or on the Lévy processes. The integral is defined analogously to the Pettis integral. The integrability of a function is characterized by means of a radonifying property of an integral operator associated with the integrand. The integral is used to prove a Lévy–Itô decomposition for Banach space valued Lévy processes and to study existence and uniqueness of solutions of stochastic Cauchy problems driven by Lévy processes.  相似文献

This article links the hyperfinite theory of stochastic integration with respect to certain hyperfinite Lévy processes with the elementary theory of pathwise stochastic integration with respect to pure-jump Lévy processes with finite-variation jump part. Since the hyperfinite Itô integral is also defined pathwise, these results show that hyperfinite stochastic integration provides a pathwise definition of the stochastic integral with respect to Lévy jump-diffusions with finite-variation jump part.As an application, we provide a short and direct nonstandard proof of the generalized Itô formula for stochastic differentials of smooth functions of Lévy jump-diffusions whose jumps are bounded from below in norm.  相似文献

This paper considers the optimal control problem of the insurance company with proportional reinsurance policy under solvency constraints. The management of the company controls the reinsurance rate and dividends payout processes to maximize the expected present value of the dividend until the time of bankruptcy. This is a mixed singular-regular control problem. However, the optimal dividend payout barrier may be too low to be acceptable. The company may be prohibited to pay dividend according to external reasons because this low dividend payout barrier will result in bankruptcy soon. Therefore, some constraints on the insurance company’s dividend policy will be imposed. One reasonable and normal constraint is that if b is the minimum dividend barrier, then the bankrupt probability should not be larger than some predetermined ε within the time horizon T. This paper is to work out the optimal control policy of the insurance company under the solvency constraints.  相似文献

An internal lifting for an arbitrary measurable Lévy process is constructed. This lifting reflects our intuitive notion of a process which is the infinitesimal sum of its infinitesimal increments, those in turn being independent from and closely related to each other - for short, the process can be regarded as some kind of random walk (where the step size generically will vary). The proof uses the existence of càdlàg modifications of Lévy processes and certain features of hyperfinite adapted probability spaces, commonly known as the “model theory of stochastic processes”.  相似文献
