A predator-prey system with independent harvesting in either species and BeddingtonDeAngelis functional response is investigated. By analyzing characteristic equations and using an iterative technique,we obtain a set of easily verifiable sufficient conditions,which ensure the local and global stability of the nonnegative equilibria of the system. In this paper, by using the comparing theorem, Razumikhin-type theorem and V-function method, we consider a nonautonomous predator-prey system with stage-structure and time-delay. We get the sufficient conditions for the uniform persistence and the solutions global attractivity of this system. For a periodic system, we obtain the existence and uniqueness of a positive periodic solution of this system. For an almost periodic system, we prove the existence and the uniform asymptotic stability of the almost periodic solutions of this system.  相似文献

ABSTRACT. A mathematical model for a two-patch predator-prey metapoplation is developed as a generalization of single-species metapopulation harvesting theory. We find optimal harvesting strategies using dynamic programming and La-grange multipliers. If predator economic efficiency is relatively high, then we should protect a relative source prey subpopulation in two different ways: directly, with a higher escapement of the relative source prey subpopulation, and indirectly, with a lower escapement of the predator living in the same patch as the relative source prey subpopulation. Numerical examples show that if the growth of the predator is relatively low and there is no difference between prey and predator prices, then it may be optimal to harvest the predator to extinction. While, if the predator is more valuable compared to the prey, then it may be optimal to leave the relative exporter prey subpopulation unharvested. We also discuss how a ‘negative’ harvest might be optimal. A negative harvest might be considered a seeding strategy.  相似文献

A predator-prey system with a constant proportion of prey refuge and stage-structure for prey species is proposed and studied in this paper. A set of conditions for the permanence of the system is obtained. The local stability of the system is discussed by the sign of eigenvalues. Furthermore, by using the iterative method, some suitable sufficient conditions for the global attractivity of the interior equilibrium is obtained. Our study shows that the constant proportion of prey refuge could lead to more complicate dynamic behaviors. Numerical simulations are also presented to illustrate the feasibility of the main results.  相似文献

Optimal harvesting policies are commonly derived by assuming a time-invariant relationship between some productivity measure and the resource variable under control. Yet, long-term trends in the environment appear to induce persistent changes in spawning success in several fish stocks. I show that when predictable trends in environmental effects are incorporated into stock-recruitment models, optimal policies respond to changing environmental conditions in a way that depends very much on the management objective. When the goal is to maximize expected discounted yield, resulting risk-neutral policies computed for a model of a cyclic iteroparous population respond by continuously adjusting optimal spawning targets in phase with the environmental cycle: escapements are raised when favorable conditions are anticipated and they are lowered when poor environments are expected. These feedback responses reinforce recruitment fluctuations and lead to a sequence of boom and bust periods in the fishery. Policies shift diametrically when a risk-averse objective is pursued such as maximization of the expected sum of discounted logarithms of catches. Optimal escapements closely parallel fluctuations in population abundance, with harvest rates and catches much less variable than in the risk-neutral policy. Harvest rates respond in a compensatory way to changes in population abundance, anticipated environmental conditions, and expected strength of incoming year-classes. Depending on the specific model used, a constant harvest rate strategy may perform nearly as well as the optimal. Analytical results are provided that characterize risk-neutral optimal policies for stochastic delay-difference population models. Results show that knowledge of current environmental conditions can be used to construct harvest policies which are nearly as good as those “optimal” ones based on long-term environmental forecasts.  相似文献

We consider an infinite time horizon spatially distributed optimal harvesting problem for a vegetation and soil water reaction diffusion system, with rainfall as the main external parameter. By Pontryagin's maximum principle, we derive the associated four‐component canonical system (CS), and numerically analyze this and hence the optimal control problem in two steps. First, we numerically compute a rather rich bifurcation structure of flat (spatially homogeneous) canonical steady states and patterned canonical steady states (FCSS and PCSS, respectively), in 1D and 2D. Then, we compute time‐dependent solutions of the CS that connect to some FCSS or PCSS. The method is efficient in dealing with nonunique canonical steady states, and thus also with multiple local maxima of the objective function. It turns out that over wide parameter regimes the FCSS, i.e., spatially uniform harvesting, are not optimal. Instead, controlling the system to a PCSS yields a higher profit. Moreover, compared to (a simple model of) private optimization, the social control gives a higher yield, and vegetation survives for much lower rainfall. In addition, the computation of the optimal (social) control gives an optimal tax to incorporate into the private optimization.  相似文献
