The geometrical parameters governing the potential for the photocyclization reaction occurring in crystals of 2,3,4,5,6‐pentamethylbenzophenone, C18H20O, (I), 1,3‐diphenylbutan‐1‐one, C16H16O, (II), and 2,4,6‐triisopropyl‐4′‐methoxybenzophenone, C23H30O2, (IV), have been evaluated. Compound (IV) undergoes photocyclization but (I) and (II) do not, despite the fact that their geometrical parameters appear equally favourable for reaction. The structure of the partially reacted crystal of the photoactive compound, i.e. 2,4,6‐triisopropyl‐4′‐methoxybenzophenone–3,5‐diisopropyl‐7‐(4‐methoxyphenyl)‐8,8‐dimethylbicyclo[4.2.0]octa‐1,3,5‐trien‐7‐ol (9/1), 0.90C23H30O2·0.10C23H30O2, (III), was also determined, providing structural evidence for the reactivity of the compound. It has been found that the carbonyl group of the photoactive compound reacts with one of the two o‐isopropyl groups. The study has shown that the intramolecular geometrical parameters are not the only factors influencing the reactivity of compounds in crystals.  相似文献

In the title compound, 2‐(2‐nitro­phenyl­thio)‐1,2‐benzo­thia­zol‐3(2H)‐one 1,1‐dioxide, 2‐O2NC6H4S(C7H4NO3S) or C13H8N2­O5S2, the planes of the saccharin and nitro­phenyl­thiol­ate portions are almost orthogonal. The mol­ecules are linked by C—H?O=S hydrogen bonds [C?O 3.308 (3) Å, H?O 2.44 Å and C—H?O 155°] into cyclic centrosymmetric R22(16) dimers, reinforced by aromatic π?π stacking interactions between the nitrated aryl rings.  相似文献

In the title compound, [Cd(C2O4)(C12H8N2)(C9H6O6)]·C6H5N3·H2O, the CdII atom has a distorted pentagonal–bipyramidal geometry, defined by two N atoms and five O atoms from bidentate 1,10‐phenanthroline ligands, oxalate ligands and benzene‐1,3,5‐tricarboxylic acid ligands. The oxalate ligands in the asymmetric unit possess inversion symmetry. The triazole molecule is not coordinated to the Cd atom. The structure of the title compound features a one‐dimensional chain running along the crystallographic a axis, and a three‐dimensional supramolecular network is formed via aromatic π–π interactions and hydrogen‐bonding interactions.  相似文献

The synthesis and crystal structure of the mononuclear title compound, [Co(C2O4)(C10H8N2)2]·5H2O, is reported. The Co atom is six‐coordinated by two O atoms of a bidentate oxalate group and by four N atoms of two bi­pyridine ligands. The neutral [Co(C2O4)(C10H8N2)2] entities are connected by π–π stacking interactions of the aromatic systems into a two‐dimensional layer, interconnected through a ladder‐like hydrogen‐bonding pattern of solvate water mol­ecules.  相似文献

The mol­ecule of the title compound {systematic name: di‐μ‐sulfido‐bis[di­aqua(1,4,7,10,13,16‐hexaoxa­cyclo­octade­cane‐κ6O)barium(II)] bis­[1,2‐benzisothiazol‐3(2H)‐one 1,1‐dioxide]}, [Ba2S2(C12H24O6)2(H2O)4](C7H5NO3S)2, lies on an inversion centre. The BaII atom encapsulated by the 18‐crown‐6 ring is coordinated by the six O atoms of the crown, two water O atoms and two bridging S atoms. The four‐membered ring composed of the BaII atoms and the bridging S atoms makes a dihedral angle of 67.1 (1)° with the crown‐ether ring. The aromatic ring system of the saccharin moiety is essentially planar. The packing is built up from layers of the mol­ecules and is stabilized by three intermolecular O—H?O hydrogen bonds.  相似文献

The crystal structures of the 1:1 proton‐transfer compounds of 4,5‐dichlorophthalic acid with the three isomeric monoaminobenzoic acids, namely the hydrate 2‐carboxyanilinium 2‐carboxy‐4,5‐dichlorobenzoate dihydrate, C7H8NO2+·C8H3Cl2O4·2H2O, (I), and the anhydrous salts 3‐carboxyanilinium 2‐carboxy‐4,5‐dichlorobenzoate, C7H8NO2+·C8H3Cl2O4, (II), and 4‐carboxyanilinium 2‐carboxy‐4,5‐dichlorobenzoate, C7H8NO2+·C8H3Cl2O4, (III), have been determined at 130 K. Compound (I) has a two‐dimensional hydrogen‐bonded sheet structure, while (II) and (III) are three‐dimensional. All three compounds feature sheet substructures formed through anilinium N+—H...Ocarboxyl and anion carboxylic acid O—H...Ocarboxyl interactions and, in the case of (I), additionally linked through the donor and acceptor associations of the solvent water molecules. However, (II) and (III) have additional lateral extensions of these substructures though cyclic R22(8) associations involving the carboxylic acid groups of the cations. Also, (II) and (III) have cation–anion π–π aromatic ring interactions. This work provides further examples illustrating the regular formation of network substructures in the 1:1 proton‐transfer salts of 4,5‐dichlorophthalic acid with the bifunctional aromatic amines.  相似文献

The crystal structure of the title compound, C12H12O6P2, displays two different regions alternating along the a axis: a hydrogen‐bonded region encompassing the end‐positioned phosphonic acid groups and a hydrophobic region formed by the aromatic spacers. The asymmetric unit contains only half of the biphenyl‐4,4′‐diphosphonic acid (4,4′‐bpdp) molecule, which is symmetric with an inversion centre imposed at the mid‐point between the two aromatic rings. The periodic organization of the molecules is controlled by two strong O—H...O interactions between the phosphonic acid sites. Weak C—H...π interactions are established in the aromatic regions.  相似文献

In the title compound, [Pt(C3H2O4)(C7H16N2O2)], the Pt atom is coordinated to two O and two N atoms in a square‐planar arrangement. The two independent mol­ecules, which have very similar structures, are approximately related by pseudo‐twofold screw‐axis symmetry. The six‐membered chelate ring in the leaving ligand assumes a conformation intermediate between the half‐chair and boat forms. The seven‐membered ring in the carrier ligand assumes a twist‐chair conformation and the oxolane ring assumes an envelope conformation. The crystal packing consists of extensive hydrogen‐bonding networks which form two‐dimensional molecular layers, and there are weak van der Waals interactions between these layers.  相似文献

The 1:1 proton‐transfer compound of the potent substituted amphetamine hallucinogen (R)‐2‐amino‐1‐(8‐bromobenzo[1,2‐b;5,4‐b′]difuran‐4‐yl)propane (common trivial name `bromodragonfly') with 3,5‐dinitrosalicylic acid, namely 1‐(8‐bromobenzo[1,2‐b;5,4‐b′]difuran‐4‐yl)propan‐2‐aminium 2‐carboxy‐4,6‐dinitrophenolate, C13H13BrNO2+·C7H3N2O7, forms hydrogen‐bonded cation–anion chain substructures comprising undulating head‐to‐tail anion chains formed through C(8) carboxyl–nitro O—H...O associations and incorporating the aminium groups of the cations. The intrachain cation–anion hydrogen‐bonding associations feature proximal cyclic R33(8) interactions involving both an N+—H...Ophenolate and the carboxyl–nitro O—H...O associations and aromatic π–π ring interactions [minimum ring centroid separation = 3.566 (2) Å]. A lateral hydrogen‐bonding interaction between the third aminium H atom and a carboxyl O‐atom acceptor links the chain substructures, giving a two‐dimensional sheet structure. This determination represents the first of any form of this compound and is in the (R) absolute configuration. The atypical crystal stability is attributed both to the hydrogen‐bonded chain substructures provided by the anions, which accommodate the aminium proton‐donor groups of the cations and give crosslinking, and to the presence of the cation–anion aromatic ring π–π interactions.  相似文献

Three novel polyoxometalate compounds consisting of Anderson‐type anions and trivalent lanthanide cations, [Ln(H2O)7Cr(OH)6Mo6O18]n·4nH2O (Ln = Ce 1 ; Sm 2 ; Eu 3 ), have been synthesized in aqueous solution and characterized by single crystal X‐ray diffraction, elemental analyses, IR spectra, and TG analyses. Single crystal X‐ray diffractions reveal that the structures of the 1:1 composite compound formed by the heteropolyanion [Cr(OH)6Mo6O18]3? as the building unit and the [Ln(H2O)7]3+ complex fragment as the linker, which exhibit a type of zig‐zag chain with alternating cations and anions through the Mo‐Ot′‐Ln‐Ot′‐Mo linkage in the crystal. The magnetic properties of 1 ? 3 have been studied by measuring their magnetic susceptibility over the temperature range of 2‐300 K. The UV‐vis spectra of 1 give the Mo‐O and CrIII‐O charge transfer transitions at 203 and 543 nm, respectively. In addition, the fluorescent characteristic transition of the Eu3+ ions in compound 3 is reported.  相似文献

The title compounds, {4,4′‐di­bromo‐2,2′‐[1,3‐propane­diyl­bis(nitrilo­methyl­idyne‐N)]­diphenolato‐O,O′}nickel(II), [Ni(C17­H14­Br2­N2O2)], and {4,4′‐di­chloro‐2,2′‐[1,3‐pro­pane­diyl­bis­(ni­trilo­methyl­idyne‐N)]­di­phen­ol­ato‐O,O′}­copper(II), [Cu­(C17­H14­Cl2­N2O2)], lie on crystallographic twofold axes. In both structures, the metal coordination sphere is a tetrahedrally distorted square plane formed by the four‐coordinate N2O2 donor set of the Schiff base imine–phenol ligands. In the Ni compound, the Ni—O and Ni—N distances are 1.908 (3) and 1.959 (4) Å, respectively, while in the Cu compound, the Cu—O and Cu—N distances are 1.907 (2) and 1.960 (2) Å, respectively. The two Schiff base moieties, which themselves are nearly planar, are inclined at an angle of 29.26 (7)° for the Ni compound and 29.26 (5)° for the Cu compound.  相似文献

In the polymeric title compound, {[Cu(C10H7NO5)(H2O)]·H2O}n, the Cu atom adopts a square‐based pyramidal coordination involving a N,O,O′‐tridentate glycine dianionic ligand, a water O atom and an apical bridging carboxylate O atom from an adjacent ligand. The title compound also adopts a carboxylate‐bridged chain structure. The molecular chain propagates in a helical fashion along the b axis of the monoclinic unit cell. Neighbouring chains are linked together to form a three‐dimensional network via hydrogen‐bonding interactions between coordinated and uncoordinated water molecules and O atoms of the bridging carboxylate groups.  相似文献

Both di­phenyl­propane‐1,3‐dionate systems are nearly planar. The sulfoxide moiety is in a distorted tetrahedral geometry, while its two aromatic rings are nearly orthogonal to one another. The structure of bis(4,4′′‐decyl­oxy‐p‐ter­phenyl‐2′‐yl­methyl) carbonate, C79H110O7, (I), has been determined at 123 K. It is a new type of twin mesogen. No two adjacent aromatic rings are coplanar and the four decyl­oxy side chains are maximally extended. Molecules of the compound are packed along the crystallographic a axis. The title compound, [Nd(C7H3O6S)(H2O)]n or [Nd(SSA)(H2O)]n (H3SSA is 5‐sulfosalicylic acid), was synthesized by the hydrothermal reaction of Nd2O3 with H3SSA in water. The compound forms a three‐dimensional network in which the asymmetric unit contains one NdIII atom, one SSA ligand and one coordinated water mol­ecule. The central NdIII ion is eight‐coordinate, bonded to seven O atoms from five different SSA ligands [Nd—O = 2.405 (4)–2.612 (4) Å] and one aqua O atom [Nd—OW = 2.441 (4) Å].  相似文献

In the title compound, [CuCl(C7H7O3S)(C12H8N2)(H2O)], the central Cu atom is coordinated by a water mol­ecule, a chloride ion, an O‐monodentate p‐toluene­sulfonate anion and an N,N′‐bidentate 1,10‐phenanthroline ligand. The copper environment is best described as a slightly distorted square pyramid, with bond distances Cu—Cl 2.2282 (9) Å, Cu—OW 1.984 (3) Å, and Cu—N 2.006 (3) and 2.028 (3) Å; the apical Cu—O distance is 2.281 (2) Å. In the supramolecular structure, π–π‐stacking stabilization is observed, and classical and non‐classical hydrogen bonds also play an important role.  相似文献

The solvent‐free title compound, C16H6N6, is an aromatic derivative of phenanthroline with an extended π system. It exhibits a remarkable π–π columnar stacking in the crystal structure, with interplanar distances of 3.229 (3) and 3.380 (3) Å, the shorter spacing being between the two molecules within the asymmetric unit. Adjacent units along the stacked arrays are rotated in‐plane with respect to one another by approximately 120°. The hydrochloride derivative, C16H7N6+·Cl·2H2O, in which one of the phenanthroline N atoms has been protonated, crystallized as a dihydrate. The supramolecular organization in this compound is characterized by continuous hydrogen bonding between the component species, yielding two‐dimensional hydrogen‐bonded networks. This study demonstrates the high significance of the π–π stacking interactions in the solvent‐free aromatic system and how they can be undermined by introducing hydrogen‐bonding capacity into the ligand.  相似文献
